We were there for the Japanese buffet, Ikoi. We were quite impressed with the sashimi range, unfortunately, some items are out if stock. Most of the portions come small, so if you are a big eater, do order more quantity, otherwise, the next repeat order can be quite slow. Nonetheless, the quality is better off than many japs buffet given the price at $45++

Hotel was average. Food was good. Not many options for vegetarian though. Room was not clean. There was a persistent smell which took me 7 hours to get used to bc the others were not for me. I could see the dust on table..and other amenities. And that's not the worst part. There was a woman in night shift. The worst person I have ever seen. She was no where close to nice and kind. Even to a simplest thing she shouted and looked at me with disgust

Singapore is not back in business yet, nor is the Miramar. Room was clean and in good condition, lack of TV channels. Coffee shop breakfast was good but restricted, bars closed. Requested room service dinner and was told I would need to collect it as a takeaway. Food was poorly cooked and provided in a plastic tub with plastic cutlery. Concierge unhelpful and front desk staff disinterested.

It was a great stay at this hotel. Neat and cleanly maintained rooms. The staff here were kind. And there is a beautiful restaurant within the Hotel premises

The room was what everyone expects in Singapore tidy and comfortable. The hotel was centrally located, with bus stops just outside. Located very close to the river and restaurants. Breakfast which was included was a bit limited for European tastes, but your in Asia, what do you expect. Still, there was more than enough choice for breakfast. The staff were very helpfull.

Run down hotel with most of the items in the rooms either broken or not working. The work desk chair , is broken unable to sit on it. The shower is broken , AC not working properly. The restaurants look like they are from the 80s. No Irons in the rooms ,when you ask for one , they will tell you that you have to return it after using. Pretty much have to ask the house keeping to send an iron, every time you have to iron something. Need a major renovation.

ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't waste your money here. Not recommended at all. The receptionist by the name of Santhi was extremely rude towards us repeatedly. On our first night, we got bitten by insects while sleeping. When we woke up, we found bites on our arms and legs. We immediately informed the front desk. The receptionist Santhi rudely responded as if we were liars. She questioned why we did not report it immediately once we got bitten. We were asleep, obviously. She still insisted that we were wrong for not reporting it in the middle of the night. Next, she blamed me, saying that my skin is sensitive resulting in bites. I politely informed her I do not have sensitive skin. She arrogantly made a sweeping statement that no one has ever gotten bitten before. I became angry at this point and told her off. Only after telling her off, she agreed to ask housekeeping to change our sheets. Why must I raise my voice just to get the sheets in my room changed? Absolutely ridiculous. I commend the housekeeping staff and receptionist Jess for showing concern when they were informed of our bites. We will never come back to this hotel due to the terrible customer service experience by Santhi.

I will not recommend this hotel, due to it's discrimination of my elderly husband and the usage of his portable "travelscoot" - a potable mobility scooter, due to his inability to walk distance. Not only did they insist to secure it in the concierge room for safety of battery, but said we could not use it around the hotel as we may have an accident with other guests. We just got through a busier airport with more people! I was surprised with the management idea of this policy of discrimination. Room was not attractive and needs an upgrade. I suggested that they needed to put on their website, can't accept disability mobility scooters. A wheel chair was not a suitable aid for my husband's independence and mine during our holidays. There were no issues with the battery being carried in our hand luggage in our flight and utilised at the airport without no issues. I had all the appropriate paperwork in regards to it's manufacturing etc. Not a great start to our holidays and this was purchased for his first time travelling independently, without relying on staff to help etc.

The hotel itself was great... very central to MRT and bus. Bus stop outside the door for Universal Studios. The staff in the dining room were great, happy to answer queries about the area etc. However the staff on the reception desk were the complete opposite. They had zero manners and not what should be front of house at a nice hotel. Singapore is a fantastic city and well worth the trip.

I stayed here for 6 nights with my wife. It was an amazing and beautiful hotel. AC worked great, cleaning service was great. Front service was great too. For example, I needed a taxi that accepted Mastercard, and they called one for me. I also needed to be let in my room since my wife was out with my card key, and the nice serviceman let me into my room. Regretfully, I did not take a picture of the room, but I did of our amazing view. The rooms are very big and spacious, and I found the price very affordable for what we got.

Nice hotel although a bit dated. Swimming pool was very nice and a good size. Buffet breakfast was tasty. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which made getting around Singapore very easy. Grab a Tourist Pass for a couple of days and it gives you unlimited use of the MRT (underground train) and buses.

My company booked this hotel. That is the only reason to stay here. Far from the MRT( 20 minute walk) but bus stop is right outside the hotel. Very basic room. Very limited TV channels. Small TV with very pathetic picture quality sitting on the desk.Cannot watch anything. Low quality furniture and beds. Reminds you of a college dormitory. On checking the room ,the safe was not working. After a call to the front desk the staff fixed this, took about 2 hours. I would expect they should check these things before letting out the room?? But looking at the other reviews should have not been surprised. Some of the rooms are smoking rooms and this is unusal as many Singapore hotels are smoke free. They wanted to put me in a smoking room with some petty excuse of the hotel being full. After insisting this is not acceptable they found a non smoking room!! Very good and friendly service from the breakfast staff. Decent but limited choice breakfast. The dinner was a completely different story. Set dinner cost 45$! Consisted of a small chicken soup. Rice, 1 piece of chicken and brocolli and 2 shrimp and some pathetic desert that looked so unappealing that i refused it. Should have gone next door to Copthorne kings where they have a good buffet dinner for 50$!! After dinner asked for a cup of coffee and was told i had to pay right away. Asked them to charge it to the room and was told it is not possible ! Asked to speak to the manager who never showed up. The server consulted with the reception staff and then said they could serve the coffee and it would be charged to the room. After dinner on asking the reception what the issue was, recieved some ridiculous story that there is no deposit so thats why i need to pay for coffee immediately. The lady receptionist at front desk was rude and not at all customer focused. I am definitely not going to stay here again. Will be asking the company to shift its business elsewhere.

Pleasant hotel for a stop n over stay with the family. Not the most upmarket or modern but good for the price. Great breakfast included. Expensive to request a late checkout and frustrated that the cost seemed ti change everytime I asked. Located in a great area close to restaurants etc.

Being on the East Coast Park and one side facing the beach is an added value for this restaurant. Good ambience and if we sit out, view of the water will be clear. Food was average, okie okie taste. We ordered a mix of Mexican and Indian dishes, all turned out to ve average. Prices are maintained as per the location. Staff is very friendly and during weekends orders will be served with a delay due to good crowd and many orders. Overall it was a good experience.

Good hotel for a short stay, seems a little dated but rooms are comfortable and practical. Great choice of breakfasts. Within 10min walking from a MTR station and about 40min walk from the marina bay.

It's a old hotel, poorly maintained. Toilet was stuck, they changed to another room with broken moving toilet seat. Bed is too small for tall people, Service is ok, can be better. Food is bad. For 300 Dollar a night it's not worth it. AVOID IT, GET ANOTHER HOTEL

This hotel was in a convenient location for us with a very good choice of restaurants within 5 min walk. The staff were helpful when asked for help Breakfast was a bit different to what we are used to, but everything we tried was good and we certainly didn't go hungry The rooms are a bit dated but comfortable . The gym is small but had everything I needed.

A good place to stay in Singapore, near the river and can enjoy beautiful sunrise, jogging near the river side. You can also walk a while to visit the Clarke Quay that is a awesome place to have seafood, night view, and enjoy the sea windblow.

My post would have been higher if the service I received was better. I found the female staff manning the check in and out counter to be extremely rude and unpleasant - always made me feel like I was interrupting them. The men who helped with breakfast on the other hand were very pleasant and lovely to deal with! On the first night unfortunately our room was full of ants but management happily moved us to another room. We did get moved to a room that didn’t have an enclosed shower though (we did previous to the move) I also set our room to do not disturb to find housekeeping had entered anyway while we were out. They made the bed but left the pillows on the ground? I had left possessions out not thinking anyone would be entering. Is close to a bus and train station though which was helpful.

I stayed in many hotels around Singapore and this is the worst. Rooms are ok but the TV was small and only have local channels. Our company contracted this hotel and we are not allowed to have 1 guest in our room to stay overnight. We cannot charge food or drinks on our room even we are willing to give the hotel our credit cards. We were treated differently as if we are not occupants of the hotel. For the room price, not worth it. I rather stay in Marriott, Holiday Inn and other hotels. Front desk clerks were not so friendly and not customer oriented. Other hotels like Marriott, Goodwood, Holiday Inn etc.. that I have stayed before had an outstanding and have excellent customer service. The only good thing that I can say about Miramar Hotel is the breakfast buffet.

Very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed & AC, nice ambience, helpful front office & housekeeping personnel. View from room overlooking the rivet was awesome. Location is great, a bus stand bang in front though MRT is about 1.3 kms walk. Walk down to Clarke's Quay in evening was memorable. Will definitely come back to Miramar. Didn't try the food so cannot comment.

I have to be honest, the room itself has a damp smell and the bathroom are quite dated like the sinks, bath, bathroom tiles. Rooms are quite small, just enough to sleep and have a desk, theres no room for a sofa to relax on or even a small table to eat. The front and outside looks amazing, but it's the inside that's a little bit disappointing. This was for a two single bed room too. However, hospitality and service was amazing. You will feel welcome and they are quick.

Good hotel with good size (premium) room. Major issue having only one accessable power socket! Great breakfast selection.

General place looks good. I went for the Peach Garden restaurant. Food was good and worth it with 50% discount. Didn't stay so not sure how to rate it.

Did not stay in the hotel. Went to Peach Gardens for lunch. Lunch was delicious and good. Parking was terribly expensive at $9+ for 3 hours of parking outside CBD. Parking cost is a rip off.

    1. On the very first night did not get a full set of towels 2. Room constantly cold without the AC being on 3. On multiple occasions had to call room service to get towels 4. When you use the shower, the bathroom floor get flooded with water 5. Asked for a king size bed was never furnished for the length of my stay. 6. Gym only open 7am to 7pm, was not able use based on work scheduled 7. Was charged for late check out Definitely would not recommend this hotel.

A huge thank you for looking after my parents on their recent stay. My Mum was so impressed with the attention from restaurant staff when she arrived late for breakfast and 4 members of staff made sure she had a brilliant breakfast.

I can't understand all the previous reviews, this is my second time staying here. I find the staff very accommodating and happy. I had a small accident and cut my toe, the reception staff couldn't do enough to help and they were very concerned. The rooms are clean and comfortable no concerns at all. The safe didn't work we reported it to reception and within 30 minutes we had a new one fitted. Overall this hotel is 4 star and goes above and beyond a 4 star rating. Well done Miramar staff.

Staff very friendly. The rooms are large and airy with good air conditioning. The restaurant is a bit like a cafeteria, but the service and food is good.

  • 4/5 Neil W. 1 year ago on Google
Concierge and Lobby Staff were very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Check in check out was easy. Food at the Ferntree Cafe was delicious and varied at breakfast and dinner time. We should have been informed before booking and told that the pool cannot be accessed if you are in a wheelchair. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Currently the main entrance is closed so you need to walk around to the right side loading bay to enter the building and access the restaurants via the service lift to level 2. It seems the Japanese buffet restaurant Ikoi is still in operation. The Peach Garden a la carte buffet standard had dropped quite a bit. The fried Soon Hock fish, prawns in curry, prawns in herbal broth, black pepper sliced beef stir fry, and coffee pork ribs are still good but the rest are not that great as before. Bring along an umbrella in case it rains as there is no shelter to main road.

Amazing place. Went for their hotel buffet reopening promo (1-for-1) with my friend. They also have this raw oysters promotion going for $2.50/pc, min 6 pcs. Since I can't eat raw oysters, we tried asking for a cooked version and the chef delivered (we only had to top up a bit for each). The food especially cooked oysters were amazing! Craving satisfied thanks to the amazing restaurant team of staff, manager and chefs! Service was great too! The manager constantly checked on us asking how's the food and even asked us if we have tried the laksa since it is good. Upon hearing that we haven't, he offered to help us get one and it was really good as what he described it to be!

Unfriendly front desk staff sent me to a room that was being serviced by air conditioning technicians. Went back and was given another room. The odour that hits you as the elevator doors open makes you feel a little ill, searching for fresh air. The doorman was lovely.
