The staff were wonderful and friendly. However the hotel and hotel rooms are dated and was very old. The carpets need replacing and we found it funny to see rubbish bags at the lift areas every morning. A lot of maintenance is needed in the gym and pool areas. The buffet breakfasts was great but some of the staff weren’t happy to be there. The lobby room bar wasn’t set up and the wine glasses weren’t clean but the staff were attentive and provided new clean glasses.

I visited this hotel in July 2022 and thankfully just for one night stay. The room was very spacious, but really old. The carpet was extremely old with lots of stains. Bed wasn't very comfortable. The sofa chair looked so old and dirty that I wouldn't even keep my socks on it. The bathroom had a bathtub with hand shower on top. But when I checked in, there was lot of hair in the bathtub which looked disgusting like it hadn't been cleaned well. Room service isn't prompt at all and you'll have to call twice or thrice to get basic amenities like extra towel and soap. They don't even provide bubble gel for bathtub, and question you when you ask for extra towels. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the reception service. They let me check in early and check out late and were very polite. The hotel lobby had ample seating space. Restaurant breakfast buffet is decent. Not much options. Location is good and it's on the main road. Around 1km from nearest metro station.

    1. Not so great service. 2. Boring buffet- Very limited options. 3. They changed our selected room without prior approval or notice, the room we had to move to had a very claustrophobic view. 4. The location is awesome, close to the popular tourist spots.

Cleanliness was not up to standard for 4* hotel. Very dusty and dirty clearly the housekeeper not doing the job. I had to clean the tables with wet tissues myself. However receptionist was good he was a Indian guy named Nevu if I didn't remember wrongly. Was helpful and friendly for the seamless check in. Overall it's a pleasant stay

This hotel is located in a convenient place; Singapore Management University is located next this hotel Bencoolen and Bras Basah MRT Stations are located just 4 minutes and 2 minutes walk away of the hotel. Many shops such as Bugis are just few minutes away. The hotel serves buffet breakfast. The staffs are cordial. Room was good with basic toilet amenities, tea-coffee, etc; it has bit older look. I stayed for 7 nights. Overall a good hotel to stay for few days.

Stayed in Room# 1005 on 25-27 Dec 2023. Booked via Qantas Hotel website. Check in and reception helpful and uncomplicated Room was worn, dated and showing signs of wear and poor maintenance. There were a family of at least four in the next room who insisted on having their TV on the talking loudly over the top. I suspect they occupied a number of rooms, possibly with other family members or friends as their doors were thumping closed and noise in the corridor until 1-2am. There was limited sound proofing between the rooms and our sleep was interrupted each night. Bed was on the hard side of firm but better than sleeping on the floor Air conditioning control seemed to be disconnected No power outlets on each side of the bed. Devices needed to be charged on the desk Strong perfumed air freshener throughout entire hotel in an attempt to mask the musty smell of dampness Breakfast was acceptable and egg chef did a great job. Coffee is drip filter Location is great. Easy walking distance to many of the city attractions. Bus stop out the front and short walk to MRT I wouldn’t stay here again - I’d roll the dice on another hotel

This is not a four star hotel at best it's a 3 star and I would only give it that for it's great location. The room we stead in was what they said was a premium room, it was very dated and reminded me of a Blackpool B and B with it's small bathroom with the old fashioned shower curtain, all the furniture needed an update as it was all old and tired looking even in the dining room all the tables looked worn and dated, when you got into the lift the floor was all worn. The pool area dressing room was a disaster as when it rained heavy the rain water poured in heavily, I could not believe it as there was electric fans in there, it was not safe in my opinion as the water was very close to the wiring. And I found the guy that checked us in very abrupt and not one bit welcoming. Singapore is beautiful and we loved it pity about this hotel as it was a bit of a spoiler.

I was here for the Peranakan buffet dinner on a Monday night. Used the SAFRA promotion ($25nett/person) instead of 1-for-1 ($44++). I have to say the staff were all really friendly and attentive. Definitely 5 stars for them. Just thought the quality and variety of food (no popiah and pie tee?) was lacking. Maybe it was not to me and my fiancΓ©e’s tastebuds but nevertheless, the experience was okay for the price.

Hotel is very old and dirty. I have allergies so upon entering the room, I immediately knew how dusty it was. Some of our pillows had stains on them. But the worst part of my experience was seeing a cockroach on the headboard. I called twice to ask someone to come to our room but waited 30 mins to no avail. The third time, receptionist asked if the cockroach was small or big. This angered me since whether small or big, a cockroach is still a cockroach. Their manager came up shortly but the first thing he asked us was if the cockroach was still in the room. What kind of service is that?? He arranged another room for us but didn't bother to give us any compensation or whatsoever. And they pretended like the whole situation didn't happen.

I had a wonderful time staying at Grand Pacific Hotel, it was my first solo travel expedition and the staff were incredibly helpful, particularly Velu who helped me navigate the COVID-19 regulations for travel and provided excellent service. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.

The recent reviews are all accurate - run down hotel that is not up to its 4 star status. Rooms are run down and need updating. Walls are not sound proof at all and constantly woken up by people outside in the hall way or neighbours talking. Check in was all paper process as well. Super tedious. Would not recommend

I came here for the Peranakan buffet, the food was good, service was great though. The staff was very attentive and fast and kept the food and drinks coming. Promotion for the restaurant on fave now, buffet for 2 at 44 which is pretty reasonable for the standard of food. Overall pretty impressed and might come back.

Check in is only available at 3pm (when it's stated as "after 2pm" on booking website). Why bother listing it as after 2pm when you are only going to make your guests crowd and wait at the lobby? When we asked for an update on the check in timing, the staff Mr Velu decided to get defensive instead of being helpful. Rooms are also filled with stains and have an unpleasant odor. Absolutely do not recommend this hotel. You will definitely get better service and cleaner rooms for half the price paid.

Only allowed to check in 3.30pm even though the confirmation stated check-in time 3pm. Check-in process was slow and the staff don't provide the standard information that would normally be informed during check-in, unless you asked. Not recommended to add breakfast when booking the room, the food is not worth the price you pay for. There are many eateries around the hotel that serve more delicious breakfast and at a much much much lower price compared to the hotel.

A good place located in a prime area in Singapore. It is convenient to travel to all the tourist locations from this place as they are all in close proximity. However the receptionist are sometimes rude nd non empathetic. The rooms are pretty old styled but decent.

Medium hotel in a popular location, near to malls, shopping, little streets, churches, eateries. Otherwise, just a taxi ride away. Buses and MRT stations nearby. Lovers of peranakan food, note there's a buffet everyday here. Great spread, great variety, very authentic. There's a pool, it's small but refreshing for an early morning swim or in the evening. Personnel are friendly and helpful.

I visited the hotel last week. My room is not ready on check-in time. My room was just fine for the price. However, some staff did not seem to have service minded attitude. The telephone in my room did not work so I had to go downstairs to request blankets, and waited for so so long until second reminder.

we were arranged to single bed room next to elevator and got it changed to queen side bed after. The hotel service was pleasant and the location was extremely good to us to travel around without hassles. The hotel provide self laundry service make our stay easy with daily wear. The room air condition gave us a good sleep all times. The only displease was the bed size. It was under size. I beleieved it was a 1.52m for double bed. But i realized this is the biggest bed size hotel can offered and most probably i have to accept it if i agree with all facilitated conditions.

Good brekky. Take earplugs, noise from hallway and neighbouring rooms was loud. Great location. Can walk to Marina, bit if a walk but good. Needs a good clean. On the surface is good but mould on windows and hair-dryer cord. MRT nearby and cheap. Can get to and from airport by train.

I visited last month, will give 3 star rating. Reached little early but they haven't allowed me to check in before 2pm as I was feeling very tired. Not Good for Vegetarian people, full of non veg smell. Rooms are spacious but washroom are very small.

Centrally located hotel that is reasonably priced. Easy to travel to most places from this location-taxis are easy to get from here. Staff are helpful and buffet breakfast and dinner are good. The food caters mostly for SE Asian tourists and is good quality. Rooms could do with refurbishment but overall a nice hotel to stay in the mid range price

Very neat & clean hotel. Near to little india with a walking distance of 15 min. Only negative point is, instead of more than 50 % customer's were Indian, hotel didn't provide any Indian menu in the breakfast. I was there for 5 nights. One day i had to eat only bread jam for break fast, as there was no veg items that i can eat. No fruits also on that day. As a Indian Good for stay without food

Grand Pacific Hotel 4 star rating Victoria Street Singapore, was previously named Allson Hotel, during my many years of travelling 1970 - 2019 I always found the stays most economical and smorgasbord self serve breakfast great. Well recommend for holiday or business travel.

I did stay at the Grand Pacific long ago in 2015. It's an ideal place to stay, well connected to the touristy parts of Singapore like the Marina, Little India and to he Singapore Flyer. The staff there were very courteous and accommodating. The rooms as well were spacious and gave a good view of the city.

We have stayed here many many times over the past 30 years. Staff are wonderful, more like friends. Tonight we celebrated my wifes birthday with an outstanding buffet. I have recommended the hotel to many relatives and friends who have enjoyed their stay. We can not find fault with this hotel.

THIS IS NO WAY A FOUR STAR HOTEL. We booked a premier room & it was not good. God knows what the standard rooms look like if this was premier. I’ve attached some photos. Door handle in the bathroom was hanging off. Mould in all the corners mirrors & outside windows. I would say this is a 2 star with 3 star animinities. Either update the rooms or call it a 3 star?

Had the best experience staying at Hotel Grand Pacific. Firstly, the staff is extremely courteous, friendly and kind. Must interact with Velu who is the go to person for everything in the hotel and will go the extra mile only to ensure that your stay with them is a smooth sailing. Noteworthy mention to Gautham, Eshwary and Shazlyn who impressed us with their liveliness and kindness. Secondly, the hotel is situated at a great location with easy access to Bugis st. (5-8 mins walking), Albert Centre, Bugis + mall and Bugis junction. The hotel has 2 bus stops right outside within a minute of walking distance for those who wish to explore Singapore using public transport. Buses are a great way to explore the city. Chinatown, Little India, Gardens by the bay are all within 15 min. Radius (using public transport) of the hotel. Thirdly, the Hotel rooms were clean with drinking water, soaps, shampoo, towels provided everyday. Housekeeping did an excellent job in tidyness. The washroom has hot and cold water as per preference. The only drawback being that the rooms are of vintage style and requires an upgrade. The breakfast was decent. Only 1 Indian dish served per day. The hashbrows were oily and bacon was salty. Apart from that everything was fine. The hotel staff were friendly and provided wheel chair access in and around the hotel area and ensured we had a smooth stay overall!!!!

Staying here was an absolute delight! The strategic location, surrounded by a plethora of culinary hotspots, made it an irresistible choice. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted by the convenience of having numerous dining options within walking distance. Whether I was craving local delicacies, international cuisines, or unique culinary experiences, everything was just a stone's throw away.

Went and met up with friends from Australia. The hotel was lovely but a bit tired. Wonderful staff especially Velu who was a diamond, just so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Found the restaurant a bit pricey so decided that eating out was a cheaper option. I would definitely stay again as just one street over from Raffles. The surrounding area was mainly university, but on saying that the malls and food outlets were numerous and varied.

Good location, clean Hotel, however reception staff curt, and in fact they tried to charge us the room service of previous stayed guest. There is a vast scope of improvement needed in singapore hotels, they should consider service and courtesy to be placed better than efficiency. Singapore template needs to change.

Rooms are functional, and come with USB A charging ports. The location is fantastic. But it's an old hotel, and age can be seen under certain circumstances. Has good lighting. However, I didn't have any provision for bedside charging. Overall, good for a short term stay.

convenient location. Some staff is helpful but some of their people - especially this server named Pierre is absolutely horrible, very rude. The hotel could do with some training of such staff members. But equally there are some people such as Velu and some on the front desk who were very helpful.

Several things that I love in this hotel are: Bathub, hot water, and LAN RJ45 port on the wall with an internet access. Despite it provides a LAN port, I hate the internet connectivity in this hotel. It is slow, I can only reach up to 6 Mbps (this slow speed applies to both WIFI and LAN Cable). The room service is a bit disappointing, usually when I stay at other hotels, the room is always cleaned at around 8 to 10 AM. But in this hotel, the room service who regularly cleans the room comes at around 4 PM. I think that is horribly too late. The view on the windows is boring, just a couple of buildings. The receiptionist is also disappoting, I couldn't early check-in and had to wait in the lobby for about 4 hours (3 PM was the allowed check-in time).

The room was old and come with moldy smell and their washing machine was super out dated you still need to put your own detergent, which i never realised and I insert coin without a detergent, after reading the instructions then noticed we have to put the detergent and have to get from reception. The sounds proof of the room was terrible you can hear whenever people talk in other room.

Good bang for the bucks hotel. We stayed for 2 days with prior thought of bracing ourselves for disappointment after reading the reviews but honestly the hotel gave us a pleasant stay experience. Surely it's a old hotel with that 90s vibe but it's still comfortable also their staffs were nice and accommodating to our request; (extra mattress topper due to bed too hard), great water pressure and temperature, good cleanliness and even though their breakfast wasn't a wide spread buffet, it's simple yet enjoyable english breakfast with pastries, rice, porridge.

After one night, I can tell than this is not just dirty (even if sheets are perforated, the floor and the lamps sticky). This is also noisy, walls are like a sheet of paper, we heard the neighbor's alarm clock ringing for 40 minutes at 5am (I even went down to see reception, they didn't even apologize.) I don't want to pay for this nightmare's hotel.

If someone is looking for a budgeted hotel at very good location than hotel grand Pacific is good choice and it is located at walk away distance from bras basah , And all the major tourist places like Little India Marina Bay Sands and prominent flyers are hardly 2 to 3 km from the hotel, When can opt for taxi or can take MRT , bus to reach there. Rooms are comfortable.

Had a two night stay, room was average, shower over a small stained bath. No customer service at reception, just room key and point to the lift. This is 3 star hotel at best. Never tried the restaurant as nobody explained the opening hours. Get what you pay for.

Good location and service and room was clean. Would have given 5 stars if not for the group of school kids staying on the same floor as us who were screaming, shouting, running along the hallway and banging on the door constantly. Hotel staffs should have kept all the school kids on the same floor.

Stayed from 17-21 October, for the price paid you will get 1. Very good location to tourist spots 2. Decent sized room (26m2) which is good for the price paid and compared to other hotels in SG for this price range probably you'll get around 14-18m2 tops. 3. Old interior but ok for what you are paying 4. Decent gym (dumbbells, treadmill and machine) 5. Room being cleaned everyday Things that I can't comment as I didn't take is 1. Breakfast 2. Pool

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean but needed some updating. Cleaners on some days were very late. Unfortunately, our room was near the lifts, and therefore, it was noisy and interrupted our sleep. The attached restaurant served 3 meals a day, but there was no information of times and menu in our room.

There is nothing 4 star about this hotel. The staff were nice but this is a 2 to 3 star hotel and it is incredibly overpriced for what you get. The rooms are very basic but spacious enough. If I had known I would have simply booked the Stamford or Fairmont around the corner for an extra S$75 per night. The photos misrepresent this place. The location is good but it's one of the worst hotels I've stayed at (ever). Approx S$300 per night (including tax and charges) for this place is laughable. And the breakfast is very poor. You can do better.

I don’t understand the reason behind maintaining room temperature close to 18 degrees centigrade in a place like Singapore. Cant open the windows also. Very damp and smelly place.
