By today's standards, the hotel is a no-frills one and should be along the ranks of transit hotel. The room has very basic offerings and might not be convenient for persons with reduced mobility since the standing shower is within the bathtub. The gym has very retro dumbbells which was quite eye-opening for me. Having said that, I did had a very good work-out. In light of the pandemic situation, it is advisable to pre-book facilities such as the swimming pool and fitness centers prior to check-in, to ensure that you can optimize your stay experience. Conveniently located in the an area where there is an extensive and awesome F&B offering, you will definitely be spoilt for choice even when you do not want to dine in within the hotel premise. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

The hotel has an old facade, the hallways are dated, but my room (1230) is very clean and has plenty of space. The AC is cold and the hot water is strong. Taxi from the airport was $19. Bus station located nearby, you can also go straight to the airport with bus number 36. Frequent buses to the city, around 30 mins trip.

The hotel is nice. I stayed here back in March and April earlier this year, and I'm back again in November and December. In my opinion it seems to have gone down a little since my visit to the area. The construction in the street in front of the hotel continues (but that isn't the fault of the hotel). There are options for shopping nearby, with retail stores in malls, convenience stores, markets and travel agencies. The lobby is welcoming, rooms are nice, comfortable and quiet, since I was here last the buffet area has been modified with more seating. My stays have always been pleasant. I will continue to stay here for future visits.

I have stayed at the Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy many times during countless visits to Singapore. The room service is always great - my most recent was attended by an attendent named George, he was incredibly friendly and even hung up our clothes. We made sure to thank him and I hope to see him again. The hotel is in close proximity to the Parkway Parade shopping mall, a variety of food stalls and shops can be found here. The hotel is in perfect location, not too far from Marina Bay and only a brisk walk to the stunning East Coast park of Singapore. 5 stars in every category may seem like I'm just being generous - but I am simply rating this hotel on the experience offered: one that will never fail to satisfy me and hopefully anyone who stays here.

We stayed in this hotel for around a week because we just got our Accor Member Plus which allocate us to stay there and got discounted price from its benefits. Unfortunately, the hotel is pretty old and our room smells like damp, poor air circulation, lack of lighting, and dusty carpets. We even asked the reservation to move us to another room that smells less damp. Also the bathroom styles is old, mouldy and also the showers sticks to the wall. I can't give a higher stars also since the reservation took a long time to check-in. The location is also far from the city centre like Orchard. At that time, it was noisy too because they were having street instruction just across the building hotel. It just was not an unpleasant place to stay.

The hotel is situated on the east coast. In fact East Coast Road is over the back of the hotel and is a characterful local road worth a wander with plenty of food options available. Please note this hotel is not particularly close to either the airport or the city centre. Staff were helpful. We did not try the food options in the hotel so cannot comment here. The room was spacious and clean and comfortable. My only request would be to have a proper shower rather than a shower/bath. Cheers

The staff is very friendly, and the service is good. In a room, everything is clean, didnt find anything make us feel unwell. Is a good price for a big room to enjoy & rest. And also when i reach early already, they offer a early check-in service.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€—

One to avoid. The room had a pungent and deeply unpleasant smell of damp. The windows could not be opened so the only thing you could do is turn on the air-conditioning which hardly made a difference. The room looked like it hadn't been touched up in decades. The worst thing was that it felt as though there were bed bugs and I was being bitten all through the night. I've stayed in lots of hotels in Singapore and have never experienced this before. I checked out a night early as I could hardly sleep and was very uncomfortable. I checked into the Village Hotel Katong next door which is much nicer and a very similar price. On the plus side, the location is great and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was OK, not great but not terrible. The Roxy is in desperate need of a massive refurbishment. Avoid this one and go next door.

I visited Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy and I was immediately impressed. The staff was welcoming and the lobby had a modern and sleek feel. The hotel is located in a great location, close to many popular attractions. The rooms were spacious and clean with all the amenities I needed to make my stay comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Rooms are large enough, but old style even renovated recent years. Refrigerator in room is vacant, no coffee machine, instant tea only. Front desk are friendly up to staff. Breakfast is less attractive or unworth for price. Calls to desk or operator did not work. Fitness gym and Pool are ok enough.

Great budget friendly hotel complete with spacious room, bath tub and swimming pool. Concierge were very friendly and helpful. We had requested a cot in our booking request but the hotel provided an extra bed (single bed) instead by mistake. We pushed our bed together with the single and made do with our 1 year old but it pays to pay attention to the little things such as these requests. The pool was nice. The bathtub in the room was pretty beaten up and had fibreglass hole repairs and looked like it needed replacing. The hotel is due for a renovation but it's fine for the price you pay. The location is also a bit further out from tourist attractions so a taxi is required everywhere, but there are some good local food options.

Checking in was smooth and good. Mr Andrew was polite and helped to show the way to Parkway Parade, as there is a big construction in front of the hotel. The service nightmare begins at night when a Malay staff called in the room and wants us to move to another room, because his colleague made a mistake. He communicates unprofessionally over the phone and hurries us to make decisions pronto. The point is when their staff made mistakes, it is between them and the hotel management to solve the problem. It is a HUGE MISTAKE to ask clients evict the room in the middle of the night and shift everything to another room. It's unbecoming, improper and shows slipshod in problem management. That Malay staff spoiled what would have been a good stay that Mr Andrew had prepared us for. The night is not peaceful and sleepless as we were not made to feel safe and secure after that late night call. Feels like anytime the hotel will call us or knock at the door. The whole experience contradicts our aim to have a relaxing weekend getaway. Absolutely distasteful, unpleasant and upsetting experience. Think again if you want to book your stay here.

It was really a very comfortable stay! I was really impressed that I extended and stayed for 10 nights. The hotel room was very clean and quiet, lightings were just right, it was like a second home to me. Additionally, the housekeeping and hospitality teams were all treating me like a VIP, taking good care of me! Well done and keep up the excellent service!

Convenient location for overnight stay. Large clean room, average breakfast. There is a bus from the airport to right outside the hotel - cost about $2 - in less than 30 minutes. As part of their "green credentials" no bottled water is provided and only one water fountain is located on level 4 so catching the lift from L17 to L4 for a glass of water is not very "green".

Great location in Katong for stay-cation, considering Katong is ranked no. 33 World's Coolest Neighbourhood. Many thanks to Ms Vivien Wong, Guest Relation Manager, for making our stay-cation a truly memorable and comfortable stay despite the current pandemic safety restrictions !

The hotel is located at a convenient place with malls nearby. The room is comfortable although slightly dated. Their service was exceptional. My family stayed for 3 nights and we were well taken care of. I had to pay the hospital a visit during the stay and the staffs have extended great help, they went above and beyond to make sure my family feel comfortable and looked after. The front desk staff brought dinner to my daughter while I was rushed to the A&E. And other team members have provided high standard service throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and its staffs who have done an excellent job.

We just had an amazing 10 night stay at the hotel. We requested joining rooms as there we were a big group with young children. The Roxy made sure we got them! The service offered and friendly staff all throughout the hotel made the stay an enjoyable one. The swimming pool was a perfect size and depth for the whole family to enjoy.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. I wish there was a window we could open in the room. Airconditioning was too cold and it was not possible to change temperature, we have it either on and very cold or off. One of the lifts was not working, and there was a sign saying that it was under maintenance. I stayed there for a week and didn't see anyone working on it. Lifts took very long to come because of the broken one, but it did not get fixed during my stay. Pool area should stay open 24h, even if the pool is closed, especially when we have no windows we can open in the room, it's nice to have an outdoor area that is not out in the street.

The hotel was pretty nice and the location was good but the elevators were a disaster, always under construction, one of them was never active and the opposite sides of the elevators never communicated with one another so they were constantly stopping on the same floors. There was a middle school robot competition there for a week and a half and way more people staying at the hotel than normal so getting breakfast and even going back to the room around 9pm was a massive wait and many times we stopped at pretty much every floor on the way up and on the way down.

This is a hotel that has been around for a few decades. It was upgraded a couple years ago. The international buffet located at level 3 is currently located temporarily next to the pool at level 4. From this hotel, guests could board a bus or walk to the East Coast Park where they can rent a bicycle or rollerblades at the park. Wind down with a Tiger Beer/Heineken/Guiness during the sunset at the eateries. Some serve local fares.

Very convenient location, lots of eating and shopping within a few minutes walk. Great service and clean rooms definitely recommend this property. I would give it a 5 star if they had halal dinning options and a bigger/modern TV in the room. Hotel staff were very courteous and take good care of their guests. You will enjoy your stay!

Been staying at this hotel for a few years now, even before COVID. However, I now feel that the Hotel need a remake soon. Its age is showing as other hotels nearby are much more modern now with better pricing. Also, the policy of providing hand towels is inconsistent. I only get Hand towels on every other stay, I wonder why?!

I stayed here for 4 nights this month. The biggest advantage of the hotel is the variety of food options nearby, and it's close to the airport. The room was big but old. There was an unpleasant odor in the toilet pipes, especially noticeable every morning. The showerhead was of the fixed type, which made it less convenient to use. It was only on the 3rd night that I discovered a large stain on the bedsheet, so I requested a replacement the next day from housekeeping. The room's air conditioning couldn't control the temperature; it was very cold when set to 'Heat' and just right when turned off. The breakfast had limited choices, but the taste was decent. I heard that half of the hotel has been renovated, and perhaps I stayed in the older half. Hopefully I won't be returning.

All the staff were very helpful and polite. In particular I would like to commend Grace, Keith and Peggy serving us during breakfast. Also Allan at concierge. He is a capable young man and should be given more responsibilities.

Bed was comfortable, TV remote did was not there later house keeping brought it and was not working then had to be changed again. Wish the hotel will allow Hybrid cars with their own 13A chargers to charge their car as in house guest. Also found the front door was had to open with single try have to nudge a few times with the electronic card. Staff were polite esp front desk Maria.

We have stayed at the Mercure Roxy before when stopping in over in Singapore from Europe to Australia. We liked the hotel because they grant early checkin (flight came in at 7am). I was happy that they let us access our room early again. However, it was disappointing that on the night that we left, we wanted to try and get as much sleep as possible before a 2am flight, but there was a lot of noise which sounded like hammering. Disappointed that the hotel staff were unable to do anything about it. We ended up leaving at 9pm even though we had actually paid for that night's stay.

I had booked a night with Grand Mercure. Room was assigned on 8/F. Wifi connection was extremely poor which eventually I used my own mobile data. Inside the room, air conditioning was so strong. Even I turned it on, I felt a bit cold. The towels in the bathroom were old, could find a bit of stain even they appeared to have been washed. The only thing that I want to compliment is staff friendliness and toiletries (environmental friendly).

Checking in and out was a breeze. Location was so convenient too since it was next to parkway parade with a lot of food options. They also made sure to call in as well when we opted for no room cleaning after a day which was very kind of them. The hotel was also really quiet, you can hardly hear people walking by. The rooms can definitely be cleaner and the hangers were a little weird to utilize with the hanging line in the bathroom since they didn't come with hooks. But not much to complain about other then that! The aircon was also great, not too hot or cold and can be controlled freely, and no bad smell in the room we stayed in. Overall an amazing experience here, thank you!

Rooms are outdated. No available power outlet close to the bed No roomservice after 10:00 pm, while on the menu it says till 2:30am. You can buy a meal after 10pm, but No drinks! For drinks after 10pm the reception ask you to walk to a 7/11 store. Breakfast area looked like a school canteen and was very busy. Quality of the food was good though. Staff needs to SMILE more. Also the kitchen staff making your omelette have sour faces every day. My compliments for the friendly cleaning staff.. they did a really god job every day. The gym and the pool were very nice,BUT I will never stay here again.

It was a good stay. First of all, I loved the location. Everything you could need in your trip is conveniently near the hotel. The rooms are always clean and so are the hallways. The buffet food are generic. They taste just fine but I appreciate that they have a lot of variations. There are a lot of dishes available from Indian food, American breakfast, Chinese and even Filipino food. The people at the front desk are accommodating as well. They always make sure we are attended within the first 5 minutes which I really appreciate. The MRT line in front is under construction during our stay and I would definitely come back when the MRT line is already completed.

Nice hotel in a great location near to restaurants and shops in Katong. Really helpful and friendly staff throughout. Rooms were functional and clean but a bit dated e.g. no USB charging points. Decent pool with plenty of sun beds and chairs. Bar is rather characterless and also closed well before the 11pm advertised time.

The efficiency of check-in as well as the excellent presentation of the room itself were notable. The breakfast too was impressively varied and of a very high quality. Most impressive of all was the helpfulness and courtesy of the Concierge when I checked out - he took out my luggage to the taxi and loaded it for me. I was most grateful and will return again to this Grand Mercure hotel.

rooms are decent. i dont like the shower in bathtub, but its part of the old design. the hotel is in the midst of renovation. great location at the moment and will further improve once the MRT opens in front of it. the breakfast is decent - i like the afternoon canapes at the breeze.

Stayed here for about 40 days. Spacious rooms, great breakfast, amazing location. The biggest issue I had was with the elevators. During my whole stay, not even once did I see all elevators working together. There was always a problem with at least one of the 4 elevators. The waiting time could get pretty long at times, which is pretty frustrating. As mentioned in other reviews, there's noise coming from the construction nearby (they're building a new subway line, which will be pretty convenient for future guests). I can't say the noise bothered me. The walls prevented most of the noise from getting through. It'd go from 9 to about 18h Monday through Friday. Another issue that I had was the fact that you can't change the AC temperature. There's a temperature control in the room, but It's not working. All it does is change the fan speed. Room temperature stayed constant at about 23 C or so.

We stayed for two nights, and although the hotel itself is quite old and could use some sort of refurbishment, the staff made up for it all. They were very professional and quick to accommodate to requests. From housekeeping to reception, everyone I met during my stay was friendly and nice. The gym and pool are well maintained, clean and very spacious. Will stay here again for its service and location.

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. Very convenient to the airport but also close enough to get to the city. Rooms are good size and breakfast is good. Staff are very helpful and we arranged to check-in in the morning and have a late check out at 7pm to be in time for the plain. Also good restaurants close by for a fix of Singapore chicken rice.

Great location, huge room, great service by staff. Breakfast portion could’ve been more generous (it’s not a buffet) and I really wish there was a bidet spray in the toilet. Overall, I was quite satisfied!

They call this a 4 Star Hotel, I call it a 10 Star! The room was very roomy, the front desk, concierge, bell men, housekeeping and anyone I talked to on the phone were totally professional! There was an issue with the elevators, 3 out of 4 didn't work, the concierge escorted me and my wife to a service elevator to get us to the 15th floor. In no time the elevator issue had been resolved. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Because we had an early departure, we asked if there was any way we could get a grab and go breakfast, the friendly counter agent said that he would ask the manager. When we were checking out there were 2 bags with our names and room number on them. My hats off to you Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore!

I went for a staycation from 12 to 14 Jun. I have to say it has the best hotel service that I have ever experienced. From front desk ( the person’s name is Lauditta) to concierge to operator to room service, it provided top notched service. The room service was so attentive, that he could remember a simple instruction for two hours later. Nothing to complain about. The service made you feel like a very important guest.

Did not stay as a hotel guest but was unable to even use the single restroom at the lobby as it was only accessible by keycard. When I went up to look for another accessible restroom to the public, the staff was very unhelpful and told us that we weren’t allowed to roam around the ballroom area. I think that for a hotel, basic amenities like a restroom should definitely be made accessible to people even if they aren’t hotel guests, his was really such stingy behaviour from them.

A nice enough hotel. Room was a little outdated. Ceilings need a paint in the rooms very patchy. Tiny TV. But clean enough and not a bad place to stay. The resturant however refused to let us have what we want. We were given $32 by our company to spend. They forced us to have a chappy salad and to have a fruit desert that we didn't want. Which probably cost them 50 cents. Which meant we couldn't have the food we wanted.

friendly front desk staff (indian guy and malay speaking, sorry can't recall his name) who attended to our check in and offered to deliver our bags to the room as he saw we're with baby. check in and check out was a breeze. complimentary parking, however do note: there is no lift from the basement carpark to the lobby, so please drop off any wheelchair bound pax or baby in stroller first at the lobby. room was okay and we requested for cot and extra tissue box and towel, these were promptly delivered to our room. old hotel though so do not expect the latest television and stuff.

This place is an absolute dump. Rooms and hallways smell of mold, the room was dirty, ac was broken they would "fix it" and have to return 3 hours later. This continued on for 3 days. Phone in the bedroom was broken, fridge was broken. The room windows don't open, but I woke up after a storm to my room flooded and carpet soaked. Staff could care less. Place probably had potential 20 years ago.

Room smelt mouldy and damp. Aircon in the room was frigid cold and temperature cannot be controlled via the thermostat, could only be switch on or off. We got a good deal so can’t complain too much. Maybe cuz it’s an old hotel the space is awesome, but same reason, the sound proofing is pretty much non existent. The pool is more of kiddo to play water than to actually swim, and require booking. Since it’s small it’s quite fully booked alto not many ppl there. The refreshment in the evening is one portion only. No top up. But can opt to be brought to the room. No such thing for breakfast. Also one portion. And the selection … a tad limited. Okay for ppl who don’t really breakfast like me tho.

Rooms are equipped with bare minimum and rooms desperately need a total uplift. No bottled water which was fine. Do not have a welcoming feel, we all felt uncomfortable the moment we checked in the rooms which were right at the end of the corridor. Staffs at counter & door not very welcoming. Dialled to speak to the operator, counter and concierge from room phone, but no answer at all. No safety feel. One of the rooms alloted were right at the end outside the exit door facing the exit staircase and all of us had the most uncomfortable stay in a hotel ever and we couldn't bear to stay in the room for another minute and checked out way earlier before check out time. Worst hotel experience ever and definitely not worth the price paid, JB hotels far better compared to this. Plans to have a good and relaxing weekend staycation for family totally wrecked. More on rooms: Wierd noises in the middle of the night and some rooms were cold and some too hot like in the oven. Noise also from the doors with connecting rooms and some lights in the room dim out and suddenly shine brightly. TV in corner room also suddenly acted wierd and blacked out. Horrible staycation experience ever.

This is more like a business hotel rather than vacation hotel. lots of airline crew prefers to stay here. Rooms were good and kept bone chilling cold due to air conditioning with broken temp control system. Need to seek maintenance person help to change the settings. Rooms were good with all the amenities. location is odd as there it no MRT nearby and some construction is going on just in front of hotel. you need to rely on Grab/Zig every time you go somewhere. Breakfast was decent with lots of veg options as well.

Good location as the hotel is opposite to parkway prade mall and walking distance to ECP. Average size rooms with good amenities. They have good coffee shop on the ground level. They do not give water bottle in the rooms and one has to fetch water from designated water cooler on specific floors.

Great hotel located near the airport and opposite Marine Parade town centre where there are amenities and a stone throw from East Coast Parkway (accessible by foot and bike). Ideal place to stay if taking part in races held at East Coast Park. And did I mention the rooms are huge?!

Nothing bad to say about Grand Mercure Roxy, with the exception of the size of the tv. I know you don't come to Singapore for tv viewing, but I am staying for over 2 weeks. With the quality and price of smart tv nowadays....... Rooms on the 16th floor are spacious enough for long stays. Housekeeping are providing an excellent service. Executive Lounge is ok, but could expand the wine list, and is limited to 4 drinks, not free flow. Typical buffet breakfast, nothing overly fancy. Buffet dinner, including seafood, on Fri, Sat and Sunday nights only, is well worth the price, especially if you have Accor Plus and apply the discount. Lifts! Unfortunately I was stuck in a lift for 30min and whilst I don't suffer from claustrophobia, the lifts can be frustrating. I will stay again over the next work visit as there is sufficient restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

i booked the room for my mum to stay over the weekend for her birthday. However she was sick and couldn't use the room. The hotel kindly allowed me to cancel my reservation without incurring any lost. This is excellent customer service in such times of needs. I will be booking with you again in the future. This shows that you do care about your customers - even though who never made it.

When I first arrived in the room, I immediately noticed a small red stain on the blanket. I also noticed multiple other stains on the bed later on even after the cleaner guy came through. The WiFi service in the rooms is very bad and I'm often only getting one or two bars.

the hotel offer a comfortable and luxurious stay with excellent amenities and friendly staff. I would like to praise the hotel's central location, delicious food, and spacious rooms. I suggest that the hotel could improve its breakfast options and the availability of parking spaces. Overall, the Grand Mercure Singapore hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for a high-end accommodation option in Singapore
