5 stars all around because this hotel and location are awesome! This Holiday Inn is relatively new and the rooms are very clean. They are small, 2 people really, but the beds are comfortable, rooms are modern and the AC is cold! So many things to see and places to shop and eat everywhere. Friendly and accommodating staff is always a plus. Thank you so much.

This hotel is great value for money. Conveniently located above a mall and with many cool restaurants and cafes around. Room was surprisingly quite spacious for a budget hotel. Very clean and comfortable too. Service was nice. The staff were friendly and efficient, performing at a level matching to 5-star hotels’ service. There’s no swimming pool at this property. Some reviewers posted photos/videos of swimming pools by mistake.

Stayed for 4 nights and booked 2 rooms. Both rooms were extremely clean and tidy. Mattress was comfortable. Soft and firm pillows to choose from. Complimentary slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, bodywash, bar soap, coffee, tea, bottled water. Free breakfast had great variety such as fried rice, fried noodles, steamed buns, curry, pastries, salad, fruit etc. Easy check in/check out. Even has a free printer to print travel documents. Johnson at the front desk was wonderful. Location is 2 min from bus stop and 15 min car ride to downtown, 20 min car ride to airport. Definitely recommend this hotel.

A four night stay during our trip to Singapore in September 2018. Stayed for 4 nights in this hotel as a couple. It was a 10 minutes ride from Changi airport ( we arrived early in the morning) and as the name says it is an express hotel and the services was provided accordingly.. Our check inn was smooth though we arrived early around 8 in the morning..all the staff spoke good level of English ( this was expected of Singapore) and helped us in every way they could.. The breakfast spread was good and it has all the things that should be there in a hotel chain. The hotel itself is above the Singapore's oldest shopping mall which has also a food court in it..the nearby areas are full with little food joints and restaurants which are not so hard on your pocket. The only minus would be the location.. Not near metro and the nearest bus station is a 10 minutes walk. There is a taxi (i think its GRAB) kiosk in the hotel itself which can be used to get to the nearest metro or anywhere else.. It does not have a swimming pool, the beds were comfortable and all the necessary in-room amenities was there.. Overall it was a nice experience with the hotel keeping the price in mind as Singapore itself is pretty expensive.. Will love to visit again!!

This is a great property to stay if you are on a budget and need to be in the east or near the airport. It is located in Joo Chiat, a trendy neighborhood well known for its cafes and plentiful food choices. You can also book yourself to one of the many spin/yoga/pilates classes nearby. The guest room though small has an efficient use of space. The rooms are very clean and new and it is what I appreciated the most. It had good aircon control as well as water control in the bathroom. It would be great if the chair was more comfortable so I can work more comfortably in the room. The stay came with breakfast, though basic - bread, porridge, noodles, eggs, salad, fruit and cereal, it was good enough to nourish me for the day. The dining area is very spacious though it felt a bit like being in a canteen. I think it would be great to spruce up the reception area to make it more modern and less tired. There is also a laundry area to wash your clothes, and that's another big plus. All in all, it was worth the price I paid, the biggest plus is the location and the clean and new rooms.

Good breakfast buffet everyday, a great varieties from Indian, Chinese, SEA. I really enjoyed it. The location is between airport and downtown, many buses to choose, and it’s by the coast line. Value for money, strong recommendation! There is a laundry room in the hotel, 7 Singapore dollar to wash and the same price to dry. Clothes have been washed more nicely than what I had expected. There’s a gym too but quite small

The room was smaller than what my wife and I were used to, but it was ample for the two of us. Bed was firm enough and there were two kinds of pillows -- one soft, the other firm. Breakfast had a good selection of food, although admittedly the fare was not as fancy as those found in bigger hotels. Although simpler in terms of variety, the taste was quite good, especially the noodles. But what I really liked about the hotel is the availability of the laundry and dryer which was a great help since my wife and I stayed in Singapore for 10 days. We didn't have to bring a lot of clothes because we could wash and dry them, ready for the next cycle of use. In terms of location, it was a short distance to the Church of the Holy Family where we attended daily morning Mass. The mall i12Katong was just a stone's throw away. A lot of good eating places around the hotel.

Stayed here for 7 nights. Overall, it has great value for a 3-star hotel. Rooms: The rooms are clean with free bottles of water. They also come with a flat screen TV and complimentary toiletries. Service: The staff were polite and very responsive to emails. Location: The hotel is located by a mall with several restaurants. It's also a quick Grab ride away to many nice places. Depending on the room you get, the view outside might not be as nice, but since all the rooms are on the 8th floor and higher, you do get to see the cityscape. Amenities: A delicious breakfast buffet is included in the price. They also have some vending machines for stuff like ice cream, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and Starbucks coffee. They also have a printer if you need to print out documents.

Served my 7 days of isolation since I am unable to home-recovery. Service is great. If there are any request just feel free to call their receptionist and they will serve you with their profesisonlism. Isolation Food wise I will say is okay-ish. Not too bad for the standard. Able to choose between Asian or western choice. I can't compare isolation food with normal's hotel food. I'm sure their usual hotel food is much more better! Location wise is not too bad. It is just about 200-300m away from bus stop. Overall had a pleasant stay. Will consider this hotel next time if the price is affordable after all covid is over!

One of the best budget hotels in the area. The quality of rooms, hotel ambience, cleanliness is very good. The hotel staff is proactive in attending any issues with smile. Close to the public transport. The architecture around this area is quite French. I loved it! 5 plus stars for customer service.

This is my first time to Singapore and I have stayed in this hotel. Hotel staff is friendly and the service is good. The rooms are very clean and cozy. The size of the rooms is a bit small. But it got a nice view and had enough space for me to stay there 3 days comfortably.

Great place! Great location. Great facilities. Fresh squized orange juice for 2$, laundry room for 7$ per cycle (wash or dry), proper breakfast, clean room. Room is not big like everywhere in Singapore but organised well. Happy to stay there again if needs. Only question with tables for breakfast. Not very cozy because stays not cleaned after previous guest long time.

Was one of the best travel experience here, the room is cozy yet convenient. They served hearty breakfast that included in the room rate. They let me do a late check out with no extra fare. Definitely will come back for another business trip. Six star service if I can put another star. Thanks

Lovely quarantine stay! My company placed me here for a quarantine layover and I was so impressed with the hotel. The property is neat and clean. The room was spacious enough with wide window to over look the city since you can't exit the room. The staff were friendly and professional. During my 36hrs stay here, I had ordered meal from the hotel itself and from outside. The meals in the hotel were yum with western and local options. They drop your food in the drop basket outside your door and knock to inform you of your meal arrival, the delivery is quite quick. I would love to come back again even if its for a quarantine stay.

Worse experience!! It was terrible dealing with attitude of the Staff at the check in lobby. Mindset and attitude towards clients is such a terrible. Non sensivity towards the needs.We just asked for car parking coupon from the man Staff and he is explaining to us with manner but this lady Staff came to interrupt without manner and just kept talking talking talking..repeating that the hotel don't have car parking coupon and when I ask for solutions she said no solution for you it just we don't have the the coupon for you. Hahaha what kind of training that the hotel have for Staffs. This is not the way they should talk to clients at all!! Don't come here! Stay in other hotel. Service mind of Staff at other hotwlvis way much better than this. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I was serving my isolation order in this hotel. The room is very new & clean and their service is impeccable! Both my roommate and I had a pleasant stay despite our situation. We were treated no less than normal guests. The Receptionist checked on us every other day to make sure we have a good stay. On Deepavali holiday, we received a little surprise. We were given a small pack of festive snack with a lovely greeting message. How thoughtful! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone when they are open to public next year.

I received First Class Service from Reception upon arrival until departure. The room was excellent, clean, and we were grateful for the thoughtful amenities (tooth brush/paste, coffee/tea, etc). Recommended

We stayed 2 days in Singapore. The rooms were spacious and cozy. The hotel is near bus station and you can go to the centre easily. The was only a bad smell coming from the bathroom, but it's ok. The reception guys were so cool and understanding, always to help us. The only problem was the elevator, sometimes had been stuck. Generally, i was very pleased !

Good place with malls accessible at walking distance. Decent eating options. The second oldest temple in Singapore is a 5 min walk from the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel set room temperature at 23 degrees Celsius so it is not cool enough for me. Eventhough you scroll down the temperate. It's not going to do anything and it won't go below 23 degrees. You can't adjust the temperate as how cool you want. I also checked with other tourists and was told the same like my room, not really cool enough. The matress is sacking and need a replacement to a new matress. The location is far from tourist center and MRT and need to take a bus to reach MRT. Overall, I am not really happy with this holiday inn. I have been in many holiday inn across the globe and I am not happy with this one. I think I should be able to adjust my own temperature as I wish.

I stayed there very recently for a business trip, it was everything a business hotel should have, clean rooms, cool AC, washroom was very tidy with all amenities including the water pipe. Staff was very helpful. The beach is like 10 kins walk. Breakfast taste was not super, but its okay and it does not have an option of lunch/dinner. But the location is so full of restaurants that you dont really feel it, infact you would want to try different things every day. Taxi was also always good and efficient and yes wifi was also great. Pro tip: i had a IHG card and so i was able to do a late check our at 2 pm which fitted my flight timing perfectly.

Probably the best value for the money I’ve spent in Singapore. Excellent staff, wonderful buffet breakfast spread, great rooms (super clean and compact) and the coolest location if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy looking at some stunning heritage architecture, cool bars and interesting restaurants. I would stay here again and again!

Newer hotel with nice rooms, helpful staff and free breakfast and bottle water. Entire facility is clean. There is laundry room and gym if you’re not interested in doing your workout in East Coast park nearby. Location is superb, everything is very close, convenient for public transport, food, drinks and shopping.

It is convenient to go shopping, to the old shops nearby, or to the beach if you stay here. The breakfast in the hotel is good and it's easy to get good meals in the restaurants near the hotel. 🍲🌮🥪🍜😀 👍 It is not close to MRT stations and sometimes it takes you more then 10 or even 15 minutes to get a taxi. 🚕🚈🧐

A HolidayInn Express chain hotel which offers good value for money. Located close to the East Coast and famous shopping areas of Parkway Parade and Katong. The hotel offers a good value free breakfast and has a large dining area. Accessibility is slightly restricted as the hotel is situated in a shopping complex with the lobby being at Level 7, and the rooms at Level 8 and above. Staff service levels could improve in terms of friendliness and politeness. Rooms are clean and are standard by Singapore room sizes. Noise levels could improve.

Nicely located in the lively Katong area, this hotel has a reception at the seventh floor and you’ll have to switch to a different elevator to reach your room. Room was fairly sized, shower was nice but a little design flaw in the bathroom makes it flood the whole bathroom. Bed was comfortable. The main issue was the bathroom drain system which was very noisy and you can hear someone else’s flush in your own room drain which was quite annoying.

Location was good. Rooms were smallish but well kept. And had all necessary amenities. Lobby had a fresh, orange juice juicer/ vending machine that was so cool. I visited in 2018.

Just back from my self-isolation/quarantine at this hotel. -First off, the not so good points: Honestly, I can only think of one, which is the wifi/internet connection. It was quite atrocious whereby I can't make proper video calls without loads of lag. That's the only big issue. -Now, other than the unfortunate wifi situation, my 5D4N stay was relatively wonderful! The receptionists were quick to pick up my calls and resolved and answered my queries with the utmost professionalism and care. Also, they called me from time to time to check on me which I really appreciated, thank you. -Room was more than decent as I was the sole occupant which meant I had two single beds all to myself. Sheets,blankets and pillow were for the most part, clean and had no unpleasant scents. Bathroom was basic but did the job and water tempratures ran smoothly. -First world problem since the wifi was quite bad, I turnt to the TV but the channels were quite limited and I got real tired of them in no time. (I understand that there are factors for not having the means to expand number of channels thus not a major issue.) -Food was outsourced thus nothing much to say in regards to the hotel. All I can say is that it's a hit or miss. -Overall, a very pleasant and wonderful quarantine stay for me. I am even considering having a solo staycation when it's open to the public.(but please fix the wifi). Thank you, Holiday Inn Express Katong, take it easy!

It was a blessing to be sent to Holiday Inn Express Katong for my recovery process. The room was immaculate and the bed, gosh, the bed enveloped around me and provided me with well-rested sleep every night. The service was impeccable, and the staff were courteous, and super efficient in sending up my Grab Food orders and items dropped off by my family. I am very grateful to the Holiday Inn Express Katong Team, and MOH for providing me with the best place I could possibly be at to recover from the nasty virus. Thank you, and I can't wait to be back for a staycation! :)

Great hotel, very clean and nice place to be especially for the price. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One staff member called Prem stood out to us, extremely lovely, went above and beyond, helped us check in early and even offered free beverages after an ordeal at another hotel so that was much appreciated- Thank you again.
