Came to the hotel for a 3pm check in to get some work done and attend a virtual meeting (coincidentally about mitigating our exposure to the recent log4j vulnerability with minimal downtime, something the hotel has clearly ignored). Told to come back at 6pm as the line was so long it was almost snaking out the building. Fine, took my laptop elsewhere to get some work done. Joined queue at 6pm. Missed meeting at 7pm, then at 8pm again as still in queue. Reschedule for 5pm tomorrow (couldn't do any other time). Finally get to check in at nearly 9pm. Computer issues cited, brilliant, sounds like their IT team is as good as their management. Non refundable, no concessions for the fact I got better service at a Fragrance hotel. Reception suggests I pay for late checkout to make my rescheduled meeting. To be clear, the receptionists were very apologetic, although clearly couldn't do much. I can only assume management doesn't care, as the closest they get to dealing with customers is counting our money. In short: Avoid this place like the plague!

I should mention that I hardly give a one-star review! Here is the story, we made a refundable booking directly with the hotel via their website and had to change our flight. So we ask the hotel staff to change our booking to stay one less night in the hotel, we are still chasing for the refund after 7 WEEKS with no luck! the hotel staffs keep saying the refund has been issued but we haven't received it. I’m going to open a dispute with the credit card to get the refund! Now let’s review our stay, the room was small, the cleaners don’t clean the room thoroughly, you can see so much dust on every surface, the backside of tv, underneath of everything such as bed, bedside tables and so on! Even on every table surface! In the hallway towards our room, there was so much rubbish outside of each room (takeaway foods) for hours, therefore the hallway could get very smelly! The hotel looks old, same as the room, cracks in the shower and bath. I wish I had taken some photos, the only photos I took were during our checkout, the lobby looks clean and kind of new, with a good view. We had a room on top floors And that’s about it. If you want to stay in Singapore I would suggest spending the same money on better hotels or by paying more you could stay in much cleaner, newer hotels and definitely with better customer service! I would not go back to this hotel and wouldn’t recommend it!

Our family enjoyed a very relaxing holiday in one of the service apartments. Breakfast in the lobby was very good but often crowded if you ate after 8:30am. We appreciate the nice fitness and pool areas. Housekeeping was very efficient, and we were thankful to them for the new water bottles every day and flexible cleaning schedule. We definitely recommend this hotel for your next trip to Singapore.

it is a budget 5 star hotel. The room is quite good with a view but the bathroom needs renovation. Breakfast is very good with many choices as well as dinner if you choose to eat at the hotel. The staff support needs a lot of improvement (we asked for a thermometer and were told to go and buy it ourselves and that the hotel does not have a pharmacy). I wouldn't prefer it again.

We loved this hotel. The staff were so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Our room overlooked the Singapore River. Exiting the hotel, we enjoyed a walk on the Riverfront and restaurants and parks there.

Mostly Good, and with a couple of improvements would be 5 star. I ate in the hotel, some amazing food, however the room service I ordered as a frequent traveller was probably the worst I have every had...where is this coming from ? I also had an issue with my hotel room with the hot water always being cold...I eventually got moved to another room, which should have been done sooner. Improve the room service menu it's rubbish and you have a true 5 star hotel

am extremely happy with my stay at this hotel. Stayed with my family of 6 (1 infant) for 7 nights. Location - Excellent. You can take a walk down the river lane and enjoy the vibe at night. All major tourist attractions are within 5km radius. It is a posh area. Rooms – They aren’t big, but I guess that’s the case with entire Singapore Food - Enough Indian vegetarian options during the breakfast. We had a feast every day. Services – Excellent. The room service guy was very helpful. Price – I would say it was expensive. The hotel isn’t exactly 5 star, more like 4 Overall - Satisfied

Attended the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel at Food Capital Restaurant. Seafood are served with fresh. All food are served warm, fabulous, tasty and delicious too. The waiter and manager are well polite and friendly. Important atmosphere are quiet for friends meeting.

The location was excellent situated near the running waters. The view from the room is also good. The stay was pleasant. Indian food is available in the buffet counters and wide varieties of other cuisines are also available. The staff are courteous. Location was excellent above all. Its is visit again place!

Loved the stay simply because of the rooms and how spacious they were considering we were in Singapore. The hotel staff was helpful when it came to the concierge and the front desk. The restaurant - not so much. The breakfast area was always full with people pushing around. The person managing the restaurant front was point blank rude. And we noticed this for the entire week.

I stayed here for 10 days. The location of hotel is just perfect. The place is next to water and you can go for a long walk up to Marina Bay Sand without ever crossing a road. Hotel has good breakfast with vegetarian options. Rooms are large considering it is Singapore. Food menu in room service has limited vegetarian options but there are couple of good Indian restaurants nearby to order or walk and eat. Staff was very friendly.

Stayed here for New Year's Eve 2 days ago. The downstairs construction was quite noisy despite the letter from the General Manager saying that they will limit construction on weekdays from 9 to 6PM. The room was extremely warm at night and could not lower the thermostat to less than 23 degrees Celsius. The swimming pool bar was non-existent. However, the staff were nice and the Food Capital NYE food was great.

A beautifully modern hotel in great river walk location. Breakfast was included as part of a special deal & was really Excellent. Lovely outlook from restaurant too. A high tea was also included in the deal & was amazing! Really interesting & really surprised us. The pool was lovely too & very clean. Water temp perfect & warm & the sun loungers quite new & comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay & would come again

Was here for a company retreat. Great location. Rooms were spacious and well lit. The manager handling the wait staff during our catered dinner was brash and left us with an unpleasant feeling. They could do with some hospitality training.

All are excellent except when we would like to have a dine-in at Food Capital. The staff was ignoring and just kept us waiting including the manager. He just looked at us and with a black face, and we felt not being welcoming. However when other guest shown-up, he shown a smiling face and very welcoming which we both quite disappointing for his actions.

Great hotel right at the waterfront where you can walk all the way to Clarke Quay and Singapore financial centre. Along the journey, there are cafes, bars and even seafood restaurants. Rooms had all the basic amenities that you need and are quite modern too. What caught my attention is the room came with a water filter system which replaced the normal water bottles that usually came in most of the hotels. Wireless charging is provided as well and it had plenty of plug points which came with USB as well. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping came everyday even though I didn't ask for it. The one that I missed the most will be the buffet breakfast which is complimentary and the buffet lunch (paid) as all the foods are very delicious.

I went to Singapore during May 2019 with my family and friends for 5 days trip. I got some offer or something and booked this hotel. I think I got a decent price for this hotel. Its a true 5 star hotel. Rooms are little small but then you will be outside most of the time. The breakfast spread is huge and quality is good. The location is fantastic. You also can walk alongside the river front in the evening if you have time. There are lot of food option nearby alongside the river front. Little costly though. Overall I had a fantastic stay in this hotel and I will recommend this hotel for sure.

Started planning for my D day in 2022 and was met with lovely Joni from the sales team, who took care of me from the very start to the end - across a span of 1 year, can you imagine! Together with the banquet team, they assisted us in all that we wanted, to their best ability, with good advices along the way. The newly furnished venue came with modern deco with plenty service - bridal suite, wedding favours etc! All in all, we couldn’t ask for more! Thank you Joni!

The location is good and the rooms are good. However, the service is horrible and considering that the prices are in line with any other similar hotel in Singapore it is not worth the aggravation. We paid for our room at check out and found out that we had been charged again two days later. After 3 weeks they have not yet fixed the issue. Front Desk does not answer the phone and you can't get an e-mail response. We should have read the negative reviews before booking.....

Stayed at your Grand Copthorne Hotel in Havelock Road, Singapore with an infant recently. To my utter surprise and disappointment, was charged for ordering infant milk for his consumption since I didn't want him to have packed/preservative rich milk. I have stayed in many 5 and 7 star hotels, even they, or lesser star hotels, don't charge for any infant related food! Pretty mediocre and shameful behaviour/policies from the hotel end! And Vegetarian options are very very limited and Indian vegetarians have to look for other hotels/options to eat some decent portion of food. I would recommend fellow visitors, travelling with a child and from India, who are pure vegetarians, from avoiding this property.

Lovely pool in the evening, not too hot or cold. Hot tub has jets you can turn on but was colder than the pool? Not sure on that one.

As the name suggests, it was truly a grand experience! The hotel is located within an area surrounded by many other prominent hotels. There is a small riverfront walk path which is worth exploring. The room has a majestic view of the whole city, and from our room, we could see the MBS and Singapore Flyer clearly! The stay was extremely comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The entire process from check in to check out was smooth and easy. Two aspects deserve a special mention: 1. The hotel rooms are spacious and they are equipped with all the modern facilities and services. 2. The breakfast spread encompassed the world cuisines and actually had every possible item in the menu. The only downside to the stay was the extremely busy nature of the hotel which delayed some things, particularly in the arrival of the bags in the room. Further, some provisions could be made for a Grab and Go policy for those checking out without the breakfast even though it was booked for the whole day. Minor aspects, but definitely worth noting. Overall, it’s a must stay for anyone who wants to experience luxury and comfort. Highly recommended.

Nice ambience for wedding lunch with nice window view overlooking the Singapore River. Now serving in-house halal certified food compared to 2019 when I had my wedding. 2 stars for service back in 2019 because the banquet manager went ahead to charge the full cost of a wedding table for just 1 guest during the wedding when he could have informed me beforehand. Carpark is a little tight for newbies.

Definitely wouldn't come back and it doesn't worth the cost. The rooms are nothing special. Breakfast is a complete disaster. Most of the days no free tables. Or even no food left. Long time waiting for getting in a crowded lift. Definitely this hotel doesn't deserve the 5 star category.

Staff is good, Room are good and cleaned on daily basis. Food limited options in hotel however Sansara outside is a good choice that is an extended arm of Hotel. Night time food order may takes ages, as I waited for more then 1.5 hrs.

Excellent location on the river but in a quieter spot, easy to walk to cafes and attractions. Great room and bathroom, pool is a bonus that we used everyday after coming back from sightseeing. Only criticism is that we had to pay SGP$7 for a small jug of fresh cold milk for our fridge. We are English Tea drinkers from Australia so expected milk to be provided. The breakfast in the restaurant was fabulous though, sets you up for the day ahead.

Location is great considering how close it is to orchard which was really easy to navigate to. We made full payment online but when checking in, we were informed that we had not paid fully. We tried to clarify but we did not understand, so we did not want to make a fuss out of it as there was a queue and just paid for the amount that we apparently did not pay fully. This was my second stay at this hotel and we did not face this issue with our first booking, maybe because we used a third party for the first time around and this time was directly from their website as I wanted to earn points. When we headed up to our rooms, I decided to email the company to seek further clarification through text so that we could better understand it but ended up having my rest in the room disturbed by a call from front desk (the same person) trying to explain which I still did not understand as she was speaking too fast and we just wanted to rest, so we just let it be again. We did not reach out again as we saw the way the issue was handled and did not want to make further issues with it. Wish that the company can take better note of it and maybe fix the website if the price which informs customers/visitors that they have fully paid, when it may not have as it feels like the company is not transparent with the pricing of the hotel, either that or the employees are pocketing the “unpaid” amount. I would also like to add that the rooms, specifically the beds may not be clean as there were stench coming from it and being someone who has extremely sensitive skin and is eczema prone with very sensitive nose, the whole stay for the 2 different bookings, my body was itching and my nose was just blocked which does not happen unless the place is unclean. But the cleaning staff were really nice. Being someone who loves Milllenium, I would definitely would not visit this hotel again, but the other hotels like Studio M and M Hotel is definitely better, cleaner, more hospitable and at a better price + within the same location. Nothing grand about this hotel.

Lovely renovated rooms! I was pleasantly delighted with the overall experience, from polite staff at check in and housekeeping! The executive suite was indeed beautiful, sparkly clean, and have just the right amount of amenities and toiletries. Superb stay and will definitely stay at the Grand Copthorne again.

Wedding lunch at the ballroom. Great decoration and gorgeous hallways. Food was nice and audio visual systems were good. Only area to improve was service as any request would need to be repeated a few times to the staff before you get what you wanted as they seemed to be short-handed.

Not a 5 star hotel at all. 3 stars at best. Cleanliness is terrible. Although rooms may look nice / renovated, Rooms do not get cleaned at all, at best they just fold the bedding and give you new towels if asked, they do not mop, wipe or clean properly. Bed sheets and pillows smell like sewage. Drain flies & fleas in the rooms. However when we brought this up with front desk, they did move us to a bigger room, but cleanliness was still poor. Restaurant plates every morning are dirty with food on them as if they don’t clean properly. Hair in the food as well. Does not live up to Singapore standards. Staff is not that friendly. When kindly asked to take luggage to our room upon check in, we were asked to pay a tip prior to. Location is good. Central to places. 3/5 stars, would never stay here again.

I stayed for 1 night on 19 Nov and was impressed by the prompt , helpful and friendly front office staff for checked in/out. I would like to commend the concierge for reminding me to remove my cash card from the IU when using the complimentary car park coupon. Food Capital had a nice buffet spread and friendly service from the 'elderly' breakfast stewarding staff but sadly the live station chefs lacked social skills as well as those staff with black blazers did not smile or greet the guests so where's the 5 star rating for this hotel?

  • 5/5 Anup K. 4 months ago on Google
Pleasantly surprised by the hotel providing great value and comfort. From the time we checked in, 5* service was rendered. In particular the Front desk rep Marie was friendly and attentive to the needs of my elderly parents. Even days later she addressed us by our names when we passed through the lobby. Such attention to detail made it an enjoyable stay.

Love that it's so accessible now after Havelock station is built! Hotel lobby is nicely decorated with Christmas decorations and nice Christmas music! Stepping into the hotel felt like I was in a wonderland! Hopefully next time I can have my wedding here and stay in the rooms here too! 💓💓 That big screen in the grand ballroom is super impressive too! Hopefully it's not too expensive to book that room for my wedding ><

The Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel is a five-star hotel. A place trying to be competitive with the best hotels in Singapore. It was a great stay, service was good and food was decent. However, what was lacking was the true five-star experience of luxury. The large room and large toilet was absent. It was a great stay but not the best experience you could get. I would stay again for another quick local staycation. This was an enjoyable stay and I am sure you would too.

The room is fine, but the bathroom is pretty gross.. you can see the picture for yourself. I gave them benefits of doubt , perhaps covid did not allow proper maintenance budget. Furthermore, the receptionist need some manner education too.

I don’t normally rate places I go to but I stayed to this hotel and accidentally left my cash at the vault. I wanted to give this hotel a 4 star but a simple misunderstanding made me to give it a 2 star indeed. We stayed there for 5 nights! Rooms - comfortable, service - good, cleanliness - maintained, water service in room - very good!!! But only a simple handling of this by the front desk on the day of check out (27 Aug 2022 at around 6:00am) ruin our whole good experience of Copthorne Waterfront. We were told and also we requested and reminded the front desk that on the day of check out we need some quick byte (packed breakfast) as we are checking out early for our flight. Despite our requests and reminder a day prior none of us (09 pax in total) got anything which can talk as packed breakfast. We were assured on the day of check in that for early checkouts we can request for packed breakfast. There was nothing but utter confusion between the front desk and restaurant which is just adjacent to front desk. The staff at the restaurant (an old lady) behaved so badly as if we are demanding free food. I have seen this level of hospitality especially from a so called Five Star hotel. If the mangers / owners read this pleas take remedial actions. Tourists don’t pay to receive such ill manners or utter confusion . It’s not about few boxes of some basic food but about the commitment.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect position to rech in a few minutes by taxi the Marina Bay and the Sands Expo and Convention Center. I spent in the hotel 3 nights and everything was almost perfect, just some details in the room. Excellent the choosing for breakfast. Very good the kindness of all the staff. Just suggest you to add some desk check in the reception: 2 are not enough for the quantity of the guests of the hotel and sometimes the waiting times in queue are very longer. Thanks!

I am surprised at the good food. The chef must be complimented. I ate in many restaurants, this one is one of the best. I m there because of the Jaycees Senators Anniversary function. Best note experience I had. Rooms are a little old with not so modern facilities but amazing amount of space and unreal service. I had to say it started off terrible as a friend and I waited for 4 hours to be checked in. Eventually we got a room and they upgraded us to some suite not sure which kind. The view and space was amazing. We called room service and they delivered promptly too. 10/10 for me and would recommend

The service is EXTRAORDINARY <3 we were here for our wedding, and due to the pandemic, there were alot of issues and disruptions but the service staff were so amazing wonderful dealing with our requests and all. We just had our one year anniversary staycation here and as usual, we felt so warmly welcomed and all. The missing 1 star rating is due to the condition of the hotel rooms. While the stay and everything is awesome, the executive suite is seriously in need of an upgrade. We were given a room upgrade but we felt like we walked in to the 90s and the toilet floor has those water damage stains. We feedbacked and have requested for a smaller room, we were given (back) the deluxe room and it was so much better. With the river view as well! :) so if u are not looking for like amazing new rooms, I really recommend grand Corpthorne :) special shout out to Serene our wedding coordinator. You are the best we can have.

This hotel is moderately busy- very efficient and short queues with the check in and out. Staff are polite Lovely Christmas decorations. Simple pool and jacuzzi. No baby pool or anything fancy. Was upgraded to club room but it’s nothing fancy. The shower is fixed and bathroom floor is slippery. Was disappointed that there was no bath tub. Location is good - Robertson what has many eateries even early in the morning and good for a walk.

Came here on a weekday to have afternoon tea we made our booking directly with the hotel and with their promotional price of 25% off. We were assigned a table however it was a bit dark so we requested for a table near the window. There were one layer of sweets and the rest were savory. I especially love the fruit scones and hazelnut chocolate. Usually tea should be served with the tea pot and a cup with the tea bag but the tea was served with a tea cup with the tea bag there was no tea pot. Overall the food was average and service was good although we were seated at the corner we needed to get the attention of the staff.

This is currently undergoing a refurbishment so bits of it are looking a little worn. However staff are good , the pool and gym on the 6th floor are up to standard. Our double room looked out across the river and was clean with high quality fittings throughout just all slightly worn . Rooms were quiet and beds comfortable.

Room was ok, not what I was expecting for 5 star but, ok. The location on the river is great. And the breakfast is world class. Honestly one of the best breakfast buffets I've seen. The staff is very nice and everyone we encountered was helpful. For the price it was a good hotel but aside from the breakfast I would give it 4 stars not 5.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise indeed. I booked for just a one night stay over a weekend. The hotel has an express check-in option via sms that allows you to notify them of your arrival time and also preferred check-out time. Super convenient and efficient for a busy traveller! I checked in late at night due to some delays and the front desk staff was very friendly and polite. I was impressed with the room because it is spacious, newly renovated and tastefully done up with all the amenities provided for a comfortable stay. I love the fact that they have a water filter provided in each room for guests to help themselves with drinking water. Definitely more environmentally friendly than having bottled water.

We stayed for 3 nights as a group of 11 in 5 rooms that were spread out over 3 floors. This was a bit tricky as you can only access your own floor with the room key. The hotel was in close proximity to both bus and train stations. The rooms were great with comfortable beds, great views, filtered water taps and all the usuals. We had breakfast included which was one of the best we've had. They were very busy with an expected 500+ people for breakfast but it all ran smoothly, the staff did a great job. We also had a drink and cake voucher included. When we went to collect these, Raju was quite rude. He brought 3 cakes for 11 people. When questioned he argued and we had to show him the card again clearly stating this was per person. He then brought more cakes, plates and cutlery but was not happy. The gym is well equipped. Pool area is nice but the tiles are very slippery when wet. We had to store our luggage on the last day as we were out at time of checkout. Everything was safe and secure. We were then able to shower and change on level 5 before heading to the airport. This was great but those rooms need a good clean. Overall we had a nice stay.

Great location... Right across the Great World Mall. Rooms with modern look and interior and all the essential facilities and amenities .. live music in the evening almost every day of the week.. Dining on the ground floor is well stocked and enjoyable. Price is rightly on the higher side and the checkout can be sometimes a bit of a hassle..

Check in was a bit slow due to the room not ready yet and was told to wait about 30min or so. Maybe due to a shortage of staff and the room still not being ready again and no confirmation was informed. A good manager noticed our waiting and decided to upgrade our room for us, a really good appreciation for the staff team on this. Room was clean and great view to the city area. The restaurant for breakfast was great and area was bright with a big window view outside. Definitely will be back again for another stay.
