We have enjoyed a wonderful experience staying at Intercontinental Robertson Quay and exploring Singapore. Our welcome into the hotel and all it had to offer was marvellous. All staff we met were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We particularly enjoyed meeting Aexas, who went out of her way to make our experience in the hotel quite perfect. She also shared some excellent local knowledge with us and we took advantage of her suggestions. All in all it has been a fabulous experience. Many thanks.

Beautiful hotel nestled on the Robertson Quay end of the river. The aesthetics are modern and rooms were thoughtfully designed to maximize a really small footprint of the property. The rooms are nicely styled, but the shower room door that opens outwards means you have either a wet sink area or have to constantly clean it each time you stepped out of the shower. Poor ventilation in the showers and loose doors also meant humid, damp bedsheets every night when you’re going to bed. Breakfast selection and taste at Publico restaurant was mediocre and with so many nice cafes around the Robertson quay, please do not go for the breakfast option. Hisham at Publico restaurant was very friendly and always arrived at our table with our coffees with a huge smile that sends warmth to an otherwise very sterile service throughout my stay. I’ve walked around the hotel with staff almost colliding in my path and not be greeted with a good morning or hi. I did not try the executive lounge so I’m not sure about evening happy hour. The hotel forgot turn down service and the lights had issues and couldn’t be turned off so they had to send an electrician to reset the circuit in our room at 1am. This was done very promptly so that’s a relief. Somehow the housekeeping phone number and concierge phone number was often unattended, meaning you’ll have to go to level 4 reception to request for a turn down or more towels and water throughout your stay. Quite bothersome for a hotel at this price point. I’ve experienced better attention to detail at cheaper IHG hotels.

My experience was a mix of highs and lows. Despite its 5-star rating, the hotel's small lobby and limited in-house facilities left me surprised. It was the smallest lobby I have ever come across for a hotel of 5 star category. The most notable inconvenience during my stay was the mismatch between our triple occupancy requirement and the room's capacity designed for only two people. This discrepancy, compounded by the hotel's inability to provide an extra bed due to the room's small size, resulted in a discomforting night. Adding to issues, I observed an unusual arrangement with the gym and restaurants situated outside the hotel vicinity. This departure from the typical 5-star experience was unexpected However, the standout feature was the exceptionally great hospitality, especially thanks to Leia's warm and friendly greeting at the reception set the tone for a positive experience. Her genuine smile and cheerful demeanor made us feel genuinely welcomed, mitigating some of the initial concerns about the room situation, and was facilitated an early check-in considering our overnight flight. The hotel's location at the front of the quay provided enjoyable evening strolls. In summary, if you plan to spend most of your time exploring outside the hotel and seek friendly staff, Intercontinental is a suitable choice. However, if you're expecting the luxuries associated with a 5-star experience, you might be disappointed by the limited on-site amenities.

Hotel is lovely and in a great area. Rooms are small but extremely clean, but extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend getting lounge access food is great and you can’t go wrong with free beer. Staff are excellent throughout the hotel, especially Githath in the lounge. Nothing was an issue and they tended to my every need. I would Highly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful hotel which exudes sophistication & class, yet presents a relaxing charm set in the vicinity of happening Robertson Quay where one can indulge in great cuisines and a plethora of drinks. The staff were professional while at the same time friendly and helpful. The venue was very clean. They made a commitment to guests that "Clean means clean". A simple yet powerful statement that they take cleanliness and hygiene seriously. A very assuring stance post pandemic. Overall, a great experience. Will certainly be heading back to this hotel.

Great place to stay! We've always been really happy with this chain. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained and the accouterments are top notch. The staff is always helpful and respectful. We have always enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the coffee they serve here is outstanding.

Staff amazing!! Breakfast beyond expectations! Bed very comfortable. Free bikes. Rewarded for using Eco- friendly room cleaning option. Riverside location excellent for walking & bike riding. Only downside was the wheelchair accessible room (not our choice)…lack of drawers/ bench space/ hanging options…and AC that you could not turn off…brrrr.

Room: Tight on space (as is expected in Singapore), but the layout was sensible. The bed was comfy though the pillows a bit low for me. My two gripes: (1)the building is close to another residential building and the view was a little too close for comfort (for me). Easy to fix with the blinds but I like to have some privacy with the natural light 😌 (2) The “desk” is a coffee table with a fixed banquette seating. Not comfy for more than an hour. Amenities: There was Nespresso pods and complimentary Gryphon tea, very nice. The Byredo soaps also had a lovely fragrance. Plush towels, plenty of hanging space, all good in my books. Food: breakfast was at Publico, not really accustomed to walking outside a hotel for brekkie but a small detail. The variety and quality of food served is great!

My husband and I stayed here for the last 3 nights during our quick Singapore getaway and we really loved our experience here. Such a stunning hotel even though it’s small - every detail of the interior design and service are amazing. The room was beautiful and extremely clean. Short walk to multiple cafes in the area. Central to lots of places you’d want to visit while on holiday. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a modern luxury hotel. Thank you!

Home away from home. The staff are exceptional and helpful. The location is brilliant and easy to navigate around town. The rooms are really well appointed and modern. It’s one of my favourite hotels to stay when travelling. Highly recommend.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, the room was clean, modern, and even had motorized blinds. It felt spacious for a solo traveler, with the clever use of mirrors the room created a sense of space. Plus, there were restaurants within walking distance, making it convenient for essential needs without being overly crowded. The staff members were generally helpful. When I had an issue with the safe box, they promptly sent someone to fix it. The reception and concierge staff were also friendly. However, there was a confusion during check-in. The person at the counter told me the breakfast fee, which I felt odd. I did not book the room so I double checked if breakfast was included and she said was no. So, I skipped breakfast for two days. During check-out, a different staff member informed me that my room did include breakfast. I explained the situation, but they couldn't deduct the 2 day’s breakfast charges and told me to quickly grab a bite before my transport come this morning. This incident left a sour note in an otherwise pleasant stay at the hotel.

The hotel is located in the very heart of Singapore and you can reach everything in a short time. The breakfast is superb as well. Gana and his team have offered remarkable service and made our stay very easy and pleasant. P.S. I recommend renting one of the bikes to go around the city - it’s very convenient and free

It's a great hotel with a boutique feeling and a good location, that matches the price, which is lower than Marina Bay, although it's still close to Marina Bay. Special thanks to Emily from Front Office, for a smooth check in Ellia from Club Floor - she's young and smart and does her job very well. This work attitude and motivation needs to be kept like this throughout the following years! Pauline - a beautiful smile and also very strong knowledge of how to treat guests plus about food items. Thank you for the stay

We had a wonderful expereince at this hotel. The staff is top notch. The location is great, walking distance to numerous restaurants and a short grab ride to many attractions. The front desk manager Vibhuti welcomed us at check in and Sherlyn and her team at the Club Lounge provided excellent service each day we were there. I highly recommend this hotel. Each staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile. This is a very well run hotel.

My absolute favorite business hotel in Singapore. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the rooms. It's a tiny room but very well made. The bed and duvet are comfortable. The concierge is very helpful. One time, a colleague of mine lost her phone in a cab and the driver was not picking up, they really went over and beyond to help us. They even offered to assist us in going to the police station to report it.

An amazing small scale business hotel. Smack bang in the middle of the vibrant Robinson Quay area there are plenty of dining options and the area ranks extremely highly on the walkability scale. Staff are amazing, have stayed here a half dozen times for work and each time they are the pinnacle of low-touch business travel.

We enjoyed our stay here. We booked 2 King Bed Classic rooms. It was strange they put us on different floors despite booking two rooms on the same reservation. The rooms were on the small side but are designed nicely, good AC, comfy bed and a good shower, basically all I need in a hotel. A lot of restaurants within walking distance along the river but like a lot of places in Singapore they close early relative to other major cities. Nearest MRT is Fort Canning Park, about a 10-15 minute walk.

This doesn’t feel like an intercontinental to me.. it’s lacking that professionalism factor. Some of the staff members felt more like bouncers at the club. I mean, they were friendly and all but doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. The location is also near lots of bars, which makes this place feel like a party hotel than a luxurious one. The hotel is TINY and I mean it. I’ve never been to such a small room/hotel for a 5 star place before. Even the breakfast buffet had little options. The swimming pool is also a joke .. no view to it. Luckily, I was upgraded to a twin room, instead of a king classic, which is 5 sqm bigger. Got a corner room on the top floor which I was happy about. Though, when I checked in, the staff did not notify me about my 20 dollar credit I could use. I’m not sure I would stay here again. I would probably pay 100 more to stay at intercontinental Singapore instead.

Celebrated my wedding anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed the club benefits and was well looked after by the club lounge team. Was presented with a tiramisu cake which was a very nice gesture from the hotel. Kudos for the attentiveness of the lounge team and the food served was great. Would definitely look to stay here again

Have a great time here. Stayed there for the New Year's Eve. Near access to bus stops and MRT. The staff were very responsive even during peak hour. Sophisticated and elegant room design, also has beautiful view. Many choices In room dining menu (and very delicious too).

Loved every second I spent at this hotel. Excellent hospitality and customer service from all. I felt very welcomed and ‘at home’. Would definitely come for a second visit! The quality of the food (breakfast+lunch options) was top tier followed by the amazing service of the restaurant workers. They made my mum overwhelmed with emotion as they surprised her with a mini birthday cake + birthday song. Was a memorable experience.

Excellent service provided throughout by the team in this hotel. Location is good, especially if you prefer to stay near Orchard, but yet avoid the busy Orchard Road belt. Only gripe is I wasn’t sure if the windows are tinted from outside as my room was facing the condo directly.

Very friendly service from the hotel front desk staff upon check in and check out. Especially Douglas and Jonathan offered a great service. The rooms are sleek, clean and super comfortable with Byredo amenities. We booked 2 rooms and got great views. The breakfast was the biggest downside. The spread and quality of breakfast was not up to 5 star level. The spread was repetitive and more of 3 star hotel quality.

IHG Robertson Quay is one of my favourite hotels whenever I'm in Singapore. I'm greeted with the best service in the hotel and always makes my stay so delightful. A big shout out to Nicholas and Ahmed from concierge for always assisting me and greeting him with a huge smile and great conversation. I travel a lot for work and it matters a lot when service naturally makes me feel like I'm at home. Special thanks to front desk and the rest of the hotel staffs that always makes my stay a comfortable one. Outside of location which includes a bit of walking, it feels very cosy being in a residential area surrounded by the river and trees.

My wife and I registered at the Intercontinental Hotel at Robertson Quay to celebrate New Year's Eve for a night. We spent time at the Continental Club, enjoying drinks and light snacks. Three commendable staff members, including Ms. Pauline, provided exceptional service. Ms. Pauline, the first to assist us, greeted us with a smile and impeccable service. Additionally, a Korean lady and an Indian gentleman, whose names I unfortunately didn't catch, demonstrated kindness by checking on us, ensuring everything was satisfactory, and offering assistance. The Korean lady even went the extra mile by providing my wife with a glass of hot water upon learning of her cough. Such exemplary service is rare these days. I extend my appreciation to them, concluding the year with a positive review for these outstanding individuals.

Comfortable hotel. Very calm atmosphere. Really like the trendy upmarket mature vibe. Staff are friendly and professional. Room is quite big and bed is very comfortable. Note that there is no bathtub, not that we miss it...

Good hotel in a good location. Far enough away from the heavy tourist area to bring prices down but only a relatively short Walk to the bars and restaurants. Staff are superb and the food isn't too bad either. Will certainly be coming back.

29 HOURS STAYCATION We were researching for a hotel with a great executive lounge who would welcome with open arms our 3 y.o. toddler who was celebrating her birthday. IC Robertson Quay seemed to fit the bill based on the reviews. Prior to our stay, Pauline and Sherlyn wrote a welcome note with details of what to expect at the Club Intercontinental Lounge and its benefits. I made no less than 6 requests and every single one was honoured/met. This includes restaurant reservation, early check-in/ late check-out, birthday cake and more! CHECK-IN This hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner of the Robertson Quay enclave and upon reaching at 11am, I drove into the most serene and spacious basement carpark I've ever seen in any local hotel carpark. Priyanka met me at check-in and ensured I was upgraded to a high-floor River View room. This was the start of our 29-hour Staycation. ROOM The room was described as a studio but was very modern and cleverly designed to make full use of it's 24sqm space. We loved the wall divider between the bed and the bathroom. The Gessi rainshower was sublime ... I need to get one for my own apartment! The only missed opportunity was the lack of Toto Washlet electric bidet. CLUB LOUNGE This is where IC Robertson Quay really shines. The lounge staff from Ghita to Thines to John and a few others really shone and provided an impeccable level of service. Though we were towing our 3 y.o. around, we were never once made to feel unwelcome compared to other hotel executive lounges where children can't even be admitted. Thines even made sure our 3 y.o. had cartoon shows to watch in the lounge. They were fully aware our toddler was the birthday princess and made extra efforts to make her happy in the lounge including whipping up ice cream and fooling around with her. They personalised our stay immensely. PUBLICO PUBLICO at breakfast appears a little chaotic, but we also visited for lunch and its pizzas were Amazing! We were lucky to receive a welcome drink voucher for 2 and a restaurant credit due to our Diamond Ambassador status and the welcome drinks were a very generous gesture as we could order any alcoholic drink off the menu. We ordered cocktails that cost more than $20 each so it was well worth it. OTHERS We also received a complimentary plate of welcome chocolates consisting of fine pralines and truffle chocolates from their Director of Sales. Not really sure what the occasion was for but we very much appreciated the gesture. The chocolates were lovely! FACILITIES Other than the Club Lounge which we spent most of our time at, we didn't use other facilities like the swimming pool although other guests have remarked it is on the small side. NEARBY AMENITIES As locals becoming tourists in Our home country, we discovered Robertson Quay for the first time and found a number of cafes meandering along the biking trail next to the river. It was also a short walk to Boat Quay and the boarding jetty for WaterB River Cruise. This is a hidden gem as WaterB boats are less crowded than the Singapore River Cruise company and we did not encounter any tourist groups on our 8pm ride. Highly recommend you to try WaterB! CONCLUSION In summary, I will return to IC Robertson Quay because of the excellent recognition of status and the superior service at the Club Lounge. Please book the Club room and experience it for yourself especially if you have a special occasion to celebrate and you'll find an oasis and super-attentive staff who will be sure to personalise and make your stay a remarkable one. Kudos to the team! My princess truly enjoyed her stay!

It was my first stay and we came back a week later as part of our Asia travel. Very sleek contemporary rooms, a bit small for the standard ones but well laid out so it didn't feel cramped at all. Good service. The restaurant scene is not ideal though so don't count on an integrated hotel like you owld have at the Mandarin Oriental for instance. Otherwise it is a great business hotel

Our staycation here was great and relaxing on a quiet weekend. The room, while a little small, made effective use of space and was comfortable enough. View was decent, but not the best as it was blocked by an apartment building. Location is good - a quiet side of the city, surrounded by a few bars, enjoyed a night walk here. The buffet breakfast was nice as well - I liked the omelette, bacon, Asian porridge, and mee siam. Ambience at the Publico was fantastic. We went to the pool afterwards, but it was really small, and there was no direct sunlight at the time we went. Service was excellent and professional from start to end, which made us really enjoy our stay here! A big thank you to the team for making it special!

10/10 experience! Receptionist and concierge are very welcoming and friendly. Great furniture, very comfortable bed and the stunning toiletry and tea/ coffee. Location is really great and it’s not far from restaurant along the river. It’s second to none

Wonderful hotel, great location. The hotel was generally good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Particular mention for concierge Gana who went above and beyond to help us when my wife needed to attend hospital.

Had a weekend staycay for valentine's with them. Happily assisted me with my surprise for my fiancee. Awesome restaurants within the building such as Wolfgang's and walking distance from 7-11 for mini groceries and bites as well as complimentary parking, which I forgot to take out my cash card for... Environment wise, the only lacking is the view limitation, the blinds have to be lowered often due to the close proximity to the building nearby. These, I feel still made up by the beautiful interior and cozy room feel. Loved the stay overall, cheers to the team for the great service.

Big, clean and spacious room with a nice view. Good facilities like swimming pool too. Very good service. Location is scenic and near the Singapore River where you can find many restaurants, and pubs. A couple of shopping malls are walking distance away.

It is to be expected. A most delightful lunch will make your wallet go lighter. Service is excellent. But they have done away with the mouthwash in the washroom. Perhaps a cost saving measure

We got a free upgrade and stayed in a junior suite for a night. Everything was nice, except that the window design doesn't allow a lot of privacy unless we close the blinds. So it's either you get the view or it's completely closed. We had lounge access which came with the room. The lounge was very nice. The waitresses were super attentive and we actually complimented one of the staff for being super friendly and caring. Overall good value for money in the area.

Really liked the Club Lounge. Breakfast is awesome, especially the truffles scrambled eggs. But the evening snacks is the best including a quite decent red wine. Hakim is really making your experience extraordinary.

A decent business hotel in a good residential and fun area of Singapore. The room is quite small for the normal standard rate, no access to club lounge and not much space where one could conduct a business call or just to chill. However, the hotel and rooms are in good condition. For the price you pay, a reasonable business hotel for a two nights stay.

Wonderful, friendly and helpful hotel staff, from the front desk reception to housekeeping and concierge. Warm, charming people! These people made our stay special. The hotel is top quality but its beating heart is its front-line guest-orientated staff. They deserve a round of applause and probably more😉

  • 4/5 Ray L. 1 year ago on Google
I would say it's very business oriented. The pool and room is compact. cleanness is superb. some higher end bars and restaurants just across the street. Robertson Quay is definitely a more tranquil and classier location than Clarke quay. staff is friendly and helpful.

  • 4/5 Bill M. 1 year ago on Google
This is hard. I want two star ratings really. Five stars for the staff - they are super helpful, charming and fun. For the cost the rooms are very small albeit nice views. TV had very few channels although as no information it’s possible the expensive looking Bose box may have provided more - I’ll never know! Pool nice and gym facilities pretty good. The downside is layout of hotel means you have to get two lifts too get to your room however you kind of get used to this. The room layouts requires some managing when two people sharing. We managed to bruise ourselves due to very heavy sliding door for toilet / safe / wardrobe. Also banged my knee on a sharp box that protrudes near the sink. The bathroom and bedroom are sort of open plan with sliding doors for nighttime. The facilities such as coffee making, fridge etc are excellent and the room does feel luxurious. The breakfast was fantastic, staff attention to detail - superb. Despite what I have said I would stay here again as we liked the location. Big thanks to staff - I could have been much more grumpy about small room but to be honest there is so much to see in the city that didn’t spend that much time in the room.
