Bad points: - the hotel looks better on the pictures. - the rooms are stinky and dirty (there was dirt on the floor and on the bed) - we paid extra for a room with window but it was very loud at day and night because Singapore never sleeps. There are construction areas everywhere and people are working there 24 hours a day. - they said you would get 2 bottles of water for free everyday but we didn't (the water tastes very bad anyway but that is a problem in Singapore in general and not a problem on the hotel) -it's like 3 to 5 kilometers away from the gardens by the bay and other nice places Good points: + the people are helpful and there is one receptionist every time + inside the hotel it was quiet + there is a cheap shuttle service to the airport. You just have to say when you need it and someone will call it for you. It would be nice to know when you are landing at the airport so you can use the shuttle already to drive to the hotel + there is a bus station over the street (costs depends on the km you will drive but it's 1-3 dollars - very cheap) I would not stay again at the Kam Leng hotel. It was okay for 3 nights. And I was glad to have an own very thin sleeping bag with me. So I didn't had to sleep on the dirt and hairs from other people. I paid like 53€ a night.

Overall stay was OK. The hotel was classic. Do not expect 5 stars service. It was good enough for us to have a place to sleep for a few nights in Singapore. The room was not so clean, full of dusts, very humid as there was no ventilator and the windows in the bathroom were locked so there was no fresh air circulation. Location-wise was strategic, easy to commute to everywhere. Food was relatively easy to find within the neighborhood.

Stayed here for almost 6 nights. It's a budget hotel but it's clean and convenient. It has a older building refurbished feeling to it. Don't book here if you don't like cosy/smaller rooms. The only issue I had was a struggling air conditioning unit. The shower and toilet are in the same small side room to the main bedroom but if you're used to budget hotels this is the norm. Rooms cleaned daily and there is a laundry service available for about $5. Close to Farrer Park MRT station and the mall (about 5-6 min walk once you know where to go.) Also about 10/11 min walk to lavender station. Reception was always friendly and present. I had absolutely no issues checking in and out, even had our choice of view when checking in.

The hotel is under renovation. Room without windows. I stay here for a night. The room smells is not good. I pay arround 150 SGD for a night, it’s not cheap for the facilities.

Booking was confirmed. Upon arrival, they told us rooms were full and was told to cancel from my end.

An old building with refurbished interior. They keep it in a vintage feels. Little spooky at the beginning, but actually it is very photogenic hotel. The staff were friendly, and helpful. The room feels little crampy if you bring large suitcase. Floor carpet will feel little soggy, especially near the bathroom. Tips: Please choose/request the room with the window, for a better circulation.

Convenient location. Very clean. Limited facilities due to renovation works.

Nicely done restoration. Modern amenities subtly introducted to a classic decor without making either tacky. Great service to boot. Edit: After second visit 5 years later, service is now very lacklustre with disinterested front desk staff, sloppy housekeeping and the renovated rooms somehow seem worse than before with cheap flimsy fittings, no storage shelves or wardrobe whatsoever and a useless TV that doesn't connect to streaming and has no local tv. The photos of all the rooms you see with the nice bedheads are literally the only nice angle of the rooms. Everything else looks plain, dirty and shoddy. Such a disappointment having considered this place a hidden gem before.

My wife and I stayed here for a week. Like any other visit stay place in Singapore, the place was conveniently located near the condo unit where our daughter stayed. The weather was very wet and Kam Leng provides umbrellas for use of guests and just return when we get back by night. No questions asked. The place has cool A/C for rooms and hall making the place very comfortable, even if the place is under renovation. It's located a walking distance to Mustafa Store and City Square Mall, 7/11, stores and many eating outlets. Value for money is most appreciated and the staff are very helpful, acts speedily, and very courteous. We love the place.

We stayed there for 3 nights. It was during Chinese New Year so the rooms were highly priced! 140SD per night! The hotel is still under renovation so there was nothing nice to see around hotel! The only good thing about the hotel is the room which was quite small but clean and renovated! Hardly any amenities in the room. No teapot or telephone. Asked in the reception for an iron but they couldn’t provide. They are trying to sell the hotel by putting up photos of the newly renovated rooms. I didn’t find anything nice about the hotel except the room. It’s my personal opinion! This hotel doesn’t even deserve one star!!!!

We had dinner at the Hokkian Mee restaurant. It requires reservations. Great food.

Good hotel but size of room is too short for the four members

Super scary, when we go into the room it was really spooky, and felt like something/someone was watching. Stay for 30 minutes and we decided to go to another hotel. The pictures on the web site were totally different

Abit scary at first, very rustic hotel i would say. Fortunately nothing scary happen. Aircorn looks old. But it managed to cool the room. Came with mini fridge. But there is nothing inside.Too little hanger. No carkpark at hotel. Not exactly near to mrt. Some walking distance. There is 2 public carpark nearby but mostly full. Manage to catch a glimpse of their 10m² room, its really small. Wifi speed is okay. Tv is not smart tv so i cant do sharescreen.

The hotel has given us the vibes of a charming boutique atmosphere in a restored historical landmark with old Singapore style. The room is cozy enough to stay in. The staff portrayed very good service. The location is a plus as well.

Check in today after stayed different hotel in this area, Really not recommend for this one. I was told (by a staff called Ras***in) that even we have 2 guest and the hotel only give 1 card, and we need to insert the only card for power/electricity. Which means we (me and my friend) can't go out and in by different time . And also the so call WiFi connection (just for 1 device) can't connect at all (even after we reset our phone). Definitely won't recommend to anyone and there are plenty of choice here with similar price. For me, I won't come back.

Act blur on returning of our deposit paid. When asked them, they replied will transfer this week for months but no payment received until today. Not honest business. Update - Deposit received as of today.
