Love the location, very close to the Maxwell train station exit/entrance 3 (like a few steps away). Lots of food options around. Close to Maxwell Food Center. Lobby is not as advertised, they closed off the lounge area so there's really not a lot of places to sit and hang around. But the free drinks are a nice touch. We were in the family room with the Queen bunk beds (room 316). Not a lot of pictures available online so I didn't know what to expect. But the bathrooms are NOT see through so it's OK for friends to book this room. The Queen beds are spacious enough for 2 people. The stairs to the upper bunk is manageable. Each bunk has it's own TV with Netflix and youtube. CONS: NO BIDET IN THE TOILET (this was kind of a deal breaker) and not enough storage in the room (there should be more hooks and shelves especially since this is for 4 people)

Room was not what was advertised. Aircon wasn't working and right over bed, as was TV as room so small. Bath half full of dirty water and leaves. Bathroom not well cleaned. Room very small and windowless. Management either not available or not interested. Over priced for what was provided. Good location for Chinatown exploring, but so are hundreds of other Hotels. It is really more a hostel then a hotel.

I had booked the family loft room and it was atrocious!!! The toilet was small and cramped whilst not being connected to the shower or even a sink. Hairs were at found from precious guest’s stays at the shower basin and clogged it. Hairs were also found on the bed and dust and dirt were found in hard to reach areas like the empty spaces required for the sliding doors to work. Table size was very small and near the door and had a electrical outlet that gave almost no electricity at all. The upper bedroom was a dangerous climb up which was very scary. Excessive placement of lights below the ground floor bed and at the staircase to the upper bedroom. TV option was limited to 10-15 channels, most of which were not entertaining. The corridor to the beds from the door were narrow and squeezy, with electrical outlets placed weirdly all around the room. Lift was small and could only take 4 Asians with some squeeze and the lighting at night was poor due to poor placement of lights. Honestly speaking, the money would have been spent on a non loft room as it provides more space to sleep as well as more comfort than worry and anxiety.

Pros: -near MRT -scenic, insta worthy location -good eateries around -free soft drinks and bottled water , with a small waiting area -room aircon works well -their Digital Touch system and central control for lights is pretty cool -room service is attentive -male receptionist was very good and accommodating to requests -early check in can be done -modern eye catching exterior and hotel art -rain shower was nice and warm. Good toiletries -price is not too bad if booked via app deals Now we come to the cons Cons: -on my arrival, I found the female receptionist very rude and always trying to talk over the male receptionist who was being accommodating and polite. She kept answering on his behalf , which I felt was unnecessary as he was doing his job well and didn’t need her guidance . -the bedding was dirty. I found red stains on the side of the bedsheet, but noticed it a lot later when I had fallen asleep and woken up from my nap -there are stains and sometimes stains on the blanket which can only be seen if you look closely. The blanket was TOO SMALL. It doesn’t stretch till your legs , you’ll probably need two if you get cold easily or cannot sleep without a blanket at night. -I didn’t like the layout or design of the room that much. It felt a little claustrophobic. The bed wall is attached to the bathroom wall. Which feels a bit weird. The room is also way too small and can only fit one person. There’s no ample space to walk. -I had to walk over from the bed to the tiny space which had a small window and a small desk with chair. And I constantly had to climb over the bed to get to the sink as well. -the metal panels of the bed frame are quite heavy so if you fall you might injure yourself -while I had a good sleep on the bed, there was still a bit of noise from outside such as traffic and you can hear car door opening/ closing, drivers honking. The walls are not sound proof. You can also hear people faintly talking if they are walking through the passageway. -carpets are quite dusty and dirty. -the cups which they provide in the waiting area have stains on it. -for me personally there is no gap between the TV, washroom and there little room to walk in the room; so I just settled myself in bed and slept. You definitely cannot do a yoga workout in this room. There’s simply no room to stretch. It’s a little claustrophobic, so my advice is only book this if you are alone, need time off to relax and get your mind off things and you just want to sleep. It’s good if you just wish to block your mind and sleep, not for full hotel stay. -I also don’t like trash in my room when I sleep. So things like food containers etc; there’s no space to dump it in the room, the room dustbin is too small and starts to smell if you have food residue, I advice that you throw everything in a big plastic bag and dispose the trash outside the hotel. There’s a big industrial green dustbin right opposite the hotel, so that is a better option to avoid food smell in your room overnight. Takeaway: I think hotel Soloha would work better as a dayuse hotel rather than a fully accommodating hotel. It’s just way too small and feels more like a hostel. I highly recommend you to go there if you want to take your mind off work/life and just sleep. Otherwise, find a bigger hotel.

The quality of rooms are bad. Pictures of the rooms are not accurate. Even the suite rooms are extremely small but made to seem big in the photos hotel tv doesn't work. Not even the local channels. No one willing to help as well. The lights are very dim. No bright lights in the room. Totally not worth the money. Regret spending my weekend here. **Update The hotel got back to me on the most insincere Manner possible. Clearly this is just a cash grab kind of hotel. Way Better service providers out there. Don't fall for the 'Hype' photos or descriptions.

Good location Corteous front desk personnel. Small room but came with tooth brush, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Hand soap for the sink would be a wonderful addition. DO NOT stay here if you want a clean shower. The shower was definitely nasty!!! The fridge was dirty!!! There were hair strands by the bed!!!

I would like to feedback about my stay at this hotel over the last weekend. I booked the suite with outdoor bathtub and I did enjoy my stay but I think it was because of the company and not because of the hotel. Paid about $260, I think the money would be better well spent at a legit 4-5 star hotel. Please see below and think carefully before you book: 1. The outdoor bathtub was dirty, we had to clean the bathtub before we use it. The outdoor chairs were really dirty as well, we did not even use it. 2. Appreciate the balloons for the birthday celebration, but the balloons were actually dusty. Was a little turned off seeing the dusty balloons on the bed. Now the bed is dusty too. We threw the balloons under the bed. Not sure if they will reuse the balloons for the next guest with birthday. 3. Room was so much smaller than what was on the website. Honestly felt a little scammed. 4. The room was not well cleaned for us - there were some strands of hair in the toilet (and on the toilet bowl), the disposable toothbrush was not in the room, there was a plastic bag in one of the drawers, there was a towel on the side of the bed. 5. The bottles for the shampoo, body soap and conditioner were faulty, it was really hard to use. We feel really disappointed and really regretted not checking Google reviews before booking the stay. There were really many bad reviews on Google and I sincerely think the management team needs to relook at how to improve the guests' stay experience to retain and keep your guests going back. Sigh, seriously so disappointed. My $260....

The room that I had booked was the outdoor suite room. The room itself was very small. It was a totally different room as advertised on their website. Apparently, I was informed that there are only two outdoor suite room and both the layout is different from each other. The room I received was definitely much smaller than the other room. And the room have two doors. First time having to open two doors just to get into my room. The outdoor bath tub area was quite dirty. There are stain on the bathtub and the chairs. The separator was falling onto the bathtub. Apart from the above, the room is ideal for couple that is seeking a retreat. I also like the lighting setting which you can adjust to suit your mood. Definitely a lot of areas to improve on.

Booked a room for a daycay to celebrate anniversary via Dayuse app, the room smelt of cigarette smoke and was super dusty. I was sneezing really badly throughout the stay and my right eye is now irritated. The anniversary room decoration was nice but kinda tacky. However, the location is super good though; it's in the middle of Keong Saik with a lot of nice restaurants and cafes nearby (Keong Saik Bakery, Tempura Oji, Pasta Bar..). I would definitely recommend for couples going on daycay but fork out that $30 or something to upgrade your room (if I remember correctly they have an option like this?).

My friend and I had a day staycation and we really enjoyed the vibes of the boutique hotel :) We really had a very relaxing stay but sadly a few things we thought it was a pity. Firstly is the cleanliness of the room. We stayed in the bathtub suite which we thought the bathtub was really dirty and the privacy shade was badly bent and you still can see the opposite building even with the shade and huge umbrella. The tub had stains and it was full of sand and dirt (prolly due to rain and wind) and the plants around were dead and it wasn’t that nice to see. We thought that tub could have been covered to prevent dust/dirt. We had to wash the tub and the floor twice to make it cleaner so we felt better to dip in and chill in the tub. There were even rubbish around that was left from the previous customer. Secondly the room was slightly bigger than we thought and we really love the bed! The bed was very comfy and the TV was really good for movie and netflix~ just the size of the bed isn’t matching the bed frame causing the hard edges of the bed to expose and we hit the edges a few times while getting up and going down and causing bruises on both our knees. The bed frame wasn’t clean and there were a lot of dust. Thirdly the toilet door was really noisy and we thought it could be fixed and maintained at least as the sound proof of the hotel basically isn’t that good and we kept hearing our neighbours’ voices and doors from other rooms opening and closing during the night. We had lost our sleep and it was really sad that the stay wasn’t as good as we thought it could be. Lastly, we felt that the vibes of the hotel and the facilities were really wonderful and the staff at the reception were really professional and nice. Only the cleanliness could have been improved and the maintenance of the rooms could be better. We will still come back next time and hoping we can see the improvements so we can recommend to our other friends and family when the next time we come. :)

Pros: centrally located with many good food and desserts around. The room and bed are clean with complimentary cup noodles and drinks. Cons: I booked the junior suite where there is outdoor living room, however the sofa and chairs are not well maintained and dirty. The sound proof is very poor and I could hear everything that neighbour next door is saying. If you are looking for a hotel for a night of good sleep, this is not the place to go.

I booked this hotel when I had long layover for my flight. It took around 40-50 minutes including all the walks to reach here from Changi Airport teminal 2. Overall, was pleasantly surprised with Soloha. The man who helped us checked in was really nice! We were allowed to check in 20 minutes before our check-in time. The room was small but it had all the things we need. The semi-transparent door for bathroom was a bit uncomfortable for me and the amenities were a bit dusty but those were quite insignificant to me compared to all the good things Soloha offered. The complimentary bottled water at the first floor was free to take. The small yet breezy outdoor space on 2nd floor was another thing I enjoyed .There were umbrellas we could borrow when it was raining. It was close to Chinatown that had all the good things to eat with quite affordable price. I paid 118SGD to use the room from 8am to 5pm. A very good deal I would say.

Room was small but cosy, very clean and well equipped - quality fittings. The reception area and courtyard are cool places to hang out in, eat, drink and work. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Overall the hotel is very cool and - unlike the big hotels - has lots of personality + soul

I dont know why this hotel got 3.9 review stars. My room was nice, I took the room with outdoor bathtub. Some people said the bath tub was dirty, from what I saw, there are a little dust, ofcourse there would be dust, because it is outdoor. With a little cleaning, the bath tub is clean and spotless. Also there were some complain about outdoor chair, again the chair was outdoor, and have a little dust. But they were ok. True a very few people can see the outside bathtub, just dont get naked when you use it. Use your swiming gear or bikini. Same when you have an outdoor bathtub, your neighbour might can see you. Note : people from the street can not see the bathtub. So the bathtub is awesome. And you can eat your food outside the hotel, because the are chair and table. Very pleasant hotel if you book for the room with the outside bathtub. And this hotel got score above 8 for agoda rating.

The hotel is well situated for Chinatown. It is also a 2 minute walk from the Maxwell MRT station. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a solo traveller, less so for a couple. I had to climb over the missus to get out of bed and you get a pretty good view of your partner sitting on the loo or in the shower! Yes, the rooms are very small. They tell you at check in maximum occupancy of 2 people, which is hilarious because you couldn't get a third person in there if you tried. Our deluxe room had a window, which was both a blessing and a curse. I don't think I'd enjoy having one of the windowless rooms as it would probably be a bit claustrophobic. Having said that, the noise from the street outside with late night bars and clubs made it a bit noisy. Better windows to insulate some of the noise would be a huge improvement, otherwise wear earplugs, especially at the weekend! Having said that, there's still plenty of amenities inside the rooms so, if you don't mind shuffling around each other it's actually alright!

Rooms were terrible. It was so narrow there is hardly space to walk properly. Toilet was so small one had to enter sideways n exit sideways. No space to even make a turn in it. Horrendously, the room had one bed up a ladder like a bunk bed. Not told it was so. Not suitable for older folks or people with some disability or who are unable to climb up a ladder. Aircon so close one could freeze. Staff were unprofessional...most not sure what they were doing and wasted a lot of our time. But the worst of all was a senior staff shouting at the reception at her two other colleagues (her subordinates I guess) so loudly about work not done (reg cards, arrival lists mot prepared etc etc etc.) and berating them for an extended period in such a nasty way, even when so many guests were walking past them. Please...would you train your staff? Managers included??? Anyway, never again.

Would not recommend. We booked the room with the outdoor tub and it isn’t what was pictured. Bathroom has visible mould. Room is dusty and dirty and outside tub is dirty and exposed to neighbouring rooms. There was even a lizard crawling around when we came back. Room had no windows which wasn’t previously advised of. Also $150 per night holding deposit which wasn’t mentioned in the booking. We checked in and out on the same day due to how dirty and unmaintained the hotel felt.

Room very small but have almost anything you need and considering the price over other "normal" hotel in singapore this one quite good. Its quite clean & rooms service will always be there you just need to push button. The staffs are also friendly and very helpful (i got lock up 3 times. LoL). Free drinks with quite the variety so you can save up a bit on your trip. For the food i dont know since i did not order anything (never eat at hotel local food is the best). I stay with my families here 4 people with 2 rooms and for a budget hotel this one is super recomended but if you prefer more comfortable trip i suggest other hotel. My only compaint for the hotel i guess the toilet for some room have no wall cover so if i stay with friends you might see them when they doing their bussines. Regardless will be back for sure.

AVOID AT ALL COST Staff was extremely unhelpful and dubious. Was being informed that my request for refund was accepted but end up still got charged through my credit card. The team did not bother to conduct an internal investigation to find out the situation and facts check. In contrary, my request for assistance was constantly brushed off by the front desk supervisor Muhd Sufian by repeatedly saying no one attended to my refund request and there's nothing he could do on his end. So does this mean that I was spouting lies even though my booking remarks was amended to invalid by your colleague that promised me this would helped to revert the booking? It seemed that the entire service team lacked of compassion and attitude to serve. They do not empathize with the guests at all. Only booked it if you are opting for below mediocre service. I cannot vouched for the quality of the room but seeing the photos from the other reviewers compared to the one listed on their site, it's as doubtful as the staff working there.

Booked Hotel for a long stop over in Singapore. I was kindly invited to an early check-in as my flight landed at 7am. Check-in early and my card was charged twice, advised during check in of duplicate payments and the lady advised she would refund it. Checked into room and the speaker above the bed was broken and was playing a constant high pitch tone so cannot relax or sleep in the room atall. Went to speak to the front desk, she was extremely rude and un helpful. I asked to move rooms and she Advised there was none left, she then Advised me that I should have been charged for early check-in even though they emailed me offering early check in for free. I was eventually moved rooms after the engineer confirmed he could not fix the speaker. New room had torn dirty bed sheets on the bed. During check out I showed evidence from my bank of duplicate payments, they advised they would refund 1 of the payments ASAP. It's now been a week since I have stayed at the Hotel and they have still not refunded 1 of the duplicate payments, I'm unsure how hard a simple refund is to process? They have also stopped responding to my emails. Would not recommend. I had a bad experience.

DO NOT BOOK. PHOTOS EXTREMELY MISLEADING. There were different levels of rooms to book so we paid more to get a bigger room with outdoor tub. Despite that, the tub was dirty, the room was not big, in fact super tiny and felt like a prison with no windows or ventilation. The room has a bad stench. The shower was mouldy and we found a lizard in the room. It’s also unreasonable to charge a holding fee of $150 per night stayed as a bond. Never been to a so called “4 star” hotel that does this. I was happy to give up the 3 nights we booked here to go elsewhere. Left immediately after checking in.

Location is great, but not worth the price. I paid $450 AUD for two nights and regret booking this hotel. First room I was given was covered in mould, so I was moved to another room which also had mould and in general was not clean. I ended up wiping down all surfaces myself. Air conditioner leaked, body wash bottle in the shower was faulty and the area for the toilet was so small I had to sit on it sideways..

Small but clean rooms of unique design. Due to the glass and mirror design of walls, there is no 100 percent privacy in shower or toilet possible, so only share room with someone who feels comfortable with that. Excellent location with many great bars, coffee shops and restaurants around.

booked to celebrate our anniversary with husband on the 27th Sunday @ 12 noon. (checked in a little earlier) staff whom i attended to were fast & efficient! i did not get her name tho, thank you dear! it was such a pleasant stay because of the amenities provided in the hotel room itself!!! super cosyyy & clean!!!! i had a good nap without any disturbance, distractions nor noises... i am in love!!! the lightings touch screen in the room were very very convenient and it was the WINNER for me. no complains! i really loveeee the TV functions too! big & HD with perfect volume sound 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 i will surely return for another staycation ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Stayed recently as I needed last minute accommodation. I would not return. Staff are friendly enough but the room was tiny. Did not look like the photos. Every time I entered the room, a drawer would open. The bedside lights were flimsy and broken. My doona cover was stained and then swapped over for a single bed doona. Everything was dusty. Great location.. but wouldn’t recommend staying here

  • 2/5 Poh H. 2 years ago on Google
Design at the place is great. Outdoor tub was great and clean. Room was a little dusty but I can accept that because of its price. Need to however comment on the reception desk and email teams work. Emailed in on a request but did not receive a reply until I had to email a second time. Request was also not carried out at all when I arrive at the hotel. Called the reception desk phone and via room guest line multiple times but to no avail. Reception desk has poor communication to noodle bar kitchen and advised on wrong opening hours. The least they could do was communicate with the kitchen, not among the receptionists. Not very helpful imo. Overall, cleanliness and customer service has a lot of room for improvement. Otherwise, a pretty affordable stay.

Nice well theme quality boutique hotel. This hotel pays a lot attention to making customer feel relax and at home . Moods instantly lift moment you step in. Despite its size, it never disappoints. Some blinds at glass toilet partion and door could allay concerns of privacy when wanted. Surrounded by clubs n restuarants. Never bored. Two thumbs up!

I wished I could give more stars. We checked in over the weekend and was really looking forward to it. Check in was a real breeze as there wasn't much of a waiting time. We did check in at around 4pm. We booked the loft. As expected, we had no expectations of a big room. However, cleanliness was a big deal for me. We entered the room, the lighting wasn't really great as there isn't much natural sunlight(totally understandable). I was really shocked to see how dust and dirty the room is. Below the staircase (kudos to safety instructions for staircase) was the fridge and drawer. Above it, was just thick dust and a bunch of hair. The staircase is super dusty as well. The window ledges in our bedroom were equally dusty. They provided sanitiser spray, which had a missing nozzle. I easily asked for a change. I tried my best to clean up the dust but I wasn't getting allergic reactions from doing it. We did give feedbacks and were offered a clean up and the concerned areas. Went back to the room to found the areas complained clean, but still couldn't deal with how the rest of the areas were dusty. I personally cleaned down the floors and the steps. To make things better, dinner ay Takeshi Noodle Bar was amaaaaaaaaazing and I enjoyed every dish I had. 5 stats for that. Hotel overall has a nice feel with cool art pieces. Provides free beverages as well. The cleanliness must step up on the other hand.
