While the location and sanitation was good, There were quite a number of issues. Firstly they had false advertising. On their website it said they had an airport shuttle. I emailed them with all of my flight information as well as my name so that they could pick me up. I NEVER got a single response from them. They also do not have a WhatsApp number to call or text, only an email. When I got there and asked them why they didn’t respond, they said they don’t offer the service anymore. If this is the case, they should have emailed me that to let me know and also take it down from their website because now it’s just a lie. I also did not feel safe there because my locker was not working. So, I had to carry my bags with me wherever I went which was inconvenient. The ladder up to my bed also seemed quite dangerous. I know it’s Singapore but with all these issues I feel that the price was too expensive. If you don’t have something just say so and don’t lie about it on your website or ignore your customer. It’s not a great way to get returned guests. It’s also a hostel so it needs to be up-to-date with security measures. The fact that I had no safe storage locker was a huge red flag.

At 50$ this is really worthwhile. Even though the place is 6 yrs old, the rooms are still in very good condition. Everyone is thoughtful and quiet at night. The air con is strong and breakfast is good. Many toilets so no queuing. It does get a bit claustrophobic at times, and the upper bulk is kinda hard to navigate with their design steps. But overall still a very nice stay.

This was a terrible stay, first off the service is unfriendly, don’t know what they are doing, and you cannot check in anytime before 3:00pm even if your room is ready. There were a handful of times when we needed help and went to the front desk but no one was there and we had to wait at least 15 minutes until anyone showed up. The cubes are warm with pour ventilation and the ladders are unsafe and poorly thought out. Our luggage locker was not working the first 3 days so we had to put our luggage in a whole other room. Seriously should have just used old school locks and not card reader locks. Location is good. Bathrooms are cheaply built, wallpaper pealing off, black mold in places, and again no ventilation making it a sauna in there anytime someone showers. I highly recommend spending a bit more money and booking elsewhere.

Right in the heart of Chinatown. The queen size cubicle gave a lot of space. Very comfortable for one person. Was quiet at night and I liked the dim purple lighting. Room temperate was good. Can be a bit cold during the day. Staff are so friendly and I love the Filipino friendliness. Breakfast had a reasonable but not big selection of toast, eggs, frying pan and two types of fruit. Plenty of showers on the top floor. Would stay again!

Excellent if you’re on a budget. I appreciated the single person private showers/bathrooms. It helped keep the space quiet and comfortable. Good space planning. Staff was very friendly and helpful, 24h on site. Staff tip: try to reinforce quietness with groups or couples in sleeping area, especially since there is a breakout space and a lobby/bar area. Even though it was designed quiet, some people were chatty. Guest tip: airflow is great, but you may want to leave a small gap open at your capsule, it helped me have a nice sleep. Also, it’s not going to be perfectly silent, be realistic because you’re staying in a capsule hotel.

Great hotel in the middle of Chinatown (don’t worry the accommodation doesn’t get loud). There’s not enough I can say about the awesome staff at the CUBE. Incredibly friendly and helpful and show a genuine interests in your stay in Singapore. Had some great recommendations (thanks Casey) on not only where to visit but where to go eat to get the real taste of Singapore. Facilities are also great with ample showers that you’re never really waiting for facilities. Breakfast has a good variety and if you fancy exploring there are loads of nearby places to eat. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Overall, our stay at this hotel in Singapore was decent for a short stay. The front desk clerk was accommodating, which was a plus. However, we had a room for six people, and it felt quite cramped, making it difficult to move around comfortably. Unfortunately, during our stay, I lost a pair of new shoes. The hotel staff was kind enough to assist me in reviewing the CCTV footage and checking with the room service, but, unfortunately, we couldn't locate the missing shoes. Despite this issue, their willingness to help was appreciated.

When it comes to hostels, there are always ups and downs to consider. To me, friendly staff and a good vibe are most important. Right after that, location and sleep comfort. And here at cube, i found all that. The staff especially was friendly, welcoming and always just fun to interact with. Shoutout to Ace! Breakfast is not a priority to me, but given that it comes for free, i think there is no reason to complain as some people did here on google. I slept great, had fun and enjoyed the good location. I will be back. For now, bed number 2 checks out.

I travel to Singapore with family and cousins (12 people) and we wanna stay together. So I booked 2 family rooms (6 people per room). Even though it is narrow but it’s ok. The room is clean and new. The location is good. Because the hotel is near China Town Station and there are many restaurants around there. There is no elevator. But if you can walk for 2-3 floors, it will be alright. The staff is good and we can leave the baggage before checking in and after checking out.

I stayed in a queen bed capsule in a room of 12. Capsules were clean and comfortable. Guests were considerate and were quiet. There is of course the sound of zipping bags as they move around. Bring ear plugs. Bathrooms are dry and mostly clean although some of them have a smell which may be due to plumbing. Fantastic location. Overall a great budget location to stay especially as solo traveller. Would recommend.

Great location! Near to many amenities and interesting historical landmarks. Most importantly, rooms are clean to welcome you at the end of the day, USB charge point provided for charging your electronic devices, soft fluffy beds for the tired body and a sumptuous breakfast in the morning so that you can start your day early! Recommended for the well travelled!

Location is great! Very close to metro station and therefore easy to get here from the airport. Rooms and facilities were clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a small buffet with eggs, nuddles, oranges, toast and spreads, coffee, water and cereals. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. The beds come with personal lockers which provide enough space to fit all your bags.

During my recent visit to Singapore, I had the opportunity to stay at the Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel, situated in the bustling heart of Chinatown on Smith Street. This unique lodging experience, spanning over two floors, offers a distinctive blend of modern convenience and traditional charm. **First Impressions:** The entrance to the hotel immediately sets a welcoming tone with its Mediterranean-tiled staircase, a beautiful fusion of east and west. The reception process was smooth and hospitable, thanks to Melody, a friendly and efficient staff member who guided me to the common room, aptly named “Temple.” Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel creatively utilizes space with its pod (capsule) system, offering a cozy yet futuristic sleeping experience. I opted for a bottom pod, which provided easy access without the hassle of climbing, especially convenient for frequent visits to the common bath and toilet. Each pod is well-equipped with essential amenities like air conditioning vents, a comfortable bed complete with two pillows, bedsheet, blanket, a bottle of water, room slippers, and a toothbrush. The hotel features 4-5 common rooms, each named after the streets of Chinatown. A notable practice is the removal of outside footwear before entering, which adds to the cleanliness and comfort of the shared spaces. The breakfast is a delightful, simple affair with options like DIY eggs, bread with various spreads, and Asian noodles - a modest but satisfying start to the day. Tips for Future Guests: 1. Temperature: The hotel can get quite chilly at night, so bringing a sweater is advisable. 2. Bathing Facilities: Opt for the larger baths with hooks for clothing convenience. 3. Towel Strategy: Secure towels at night for a drier experience in the bath, as the toilets can get wet. 4. Pod Selection: Avoid choosing a pod near the door to minimize noise disruption during the night. Overall, Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel is a commendable choice for travelers seeking a unique, budget-friendly accommodation in Singapore, especially for those intrigued by the capsule hotel concept. The blend of modern amenities, strategic location, and thoughtful touches make for a memorable stay.

Stayed for 2 nights in room 204. Could hear everything in the room. Zero sound proofing. If you get this room, run! Plumbing in the walls, constant waste water running through the toilet. Not tecommended. Look elsewhere.

So atas and so well furnished! The capsules were not crammed at all and were so cosy, the bed was 💯💯 and there were three tables (1 big and 2 small) (single bed) for u to store stuff. For those of you that cannot sleep with light, when the light in the capsule is off it's really pitch black. For those of you who need light, theres an adjustable reading lamp that you can switch on and turn away from your face! 😊 The storage for your luggages and bags below the bed is more than sufficient !! There's also shoe storage outside the room. The lounge area was so well decorated and the vibes and feels were just so luxurious yet homey. The toilets were good too, if not a little lacking in terms of space to put your shower items and sometimes a little dirty due to people all wearing shoes in. Cube is literally right across from a hawker centre and walking dist from Chinatown point so you can get everything you might need. Overall super positive experience, especially if you go with a big group and book an entire room - the dorm vibes + personal space is the BEST combination.

Cube by name, cube by size. This hotel is in a great location and is probably fine for backpackers and younger couples, but I would not recommend this hotel for larger families, the disabled, elderly and travelers with lots of luggage. There are no elevators, the staff are minimal and can't really help you carry luggage up the flight of stairs. The rooms are stuffy and the air conditioning probably needs to be changed as they cannot sufficiently keep the room cooled. The toilet and showers are next to each other literally. Also it across the road from the haweker centre as well, so on Friday nights you can hear the oldies blasting music from the past. Lol. Other than that the location is conveniently located in Chinatown and close to eateries within walking distance to public transport. In short a great location, an average hotel.

I do not recommend this hotel if you want a comfortable trip. I planned to stay 5 nights, but I couldn't sleep for 2 nights, so I moved to another hotel. The female staff are unfriendly and unfriendly. No hospitality. There is no one at the front desk at night. The single room is very small and stuffy. The air conditioner cannot be adjusted and is always cold and dim. The common spaces are the worst. There are many homeless people and beggars in the area. If you don't want to waste your precious travel time, I recommend booking a better room.

Cube Chinatown has two separate buildings, one for family and one is to cater either couples or singles. We were at Cube for Family, tiny rooms and super tiny washrooms, able to hear guests from the next room, so if you have noisy guests next door it would be really tough as we did, internal sound proofing needs to be improved. It has basic amenities and cleanliness is pretty decent. The staff is very courteous.l, neighborhood has a lot of choices for food, shopping and massages.

It is what it is; it’s not the Ritz — and doesn’t claim to be. Stayed here for a week and was very enjoyable; clean, consistent and convenient. I will definitely be back, all of the staff are friendly and accomodating. Very practical location in the heart of Chinatown, just a stones throw away from the MRT and a plethora of eating choices nearby. The place was clean, and regularly sanitised; it was actually much cleaner than capsule hotels in Australia and Japan. All with a welcome pack of masks, sanitiser, toothbrush and so on. There are two main bathrooms/showers on the floors, I never had a problem with them being occupied. Aircon is very cool and a breath of fresh air when you’ve been out all day. There is no lift, but didn’t worry me as I packed light. Grateful to have called this place home for the week, and can’t wait to come back!

Family of 6 stayed for about 10 hours, the hotel was able to accommodate our early check in which was awesome. Hotel is very close to Chinatown station, we've easily found it and we're able to get back to Changi Airport.

Family Room are not just small, actually tiny, the wash sink is the bathroom is 1/3 of normal size, and the bathroom picture is very different from the ones online. There is no glass panel at all. We booked on their web and got charged for extra 10% service fee ask for reason no reply. This one turn out to be the most expensive hotel we stay with the least space. Do look elsewhere before booking this one. P,s no lift. Not really suited for anyone have big luggage. Location is good next to all the food area

Had a good stay here. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and the location was very central and close to most things. Our lockers though didn't work as they work with card, and the system was failing. However the hostel offered to hold our valuables at reception when we went out. Also the air conditioning and lighting couldn't be controlled from within the room, or I wasn't able to find the controls. Our highlight here, was our excellent host Ace! He was very friendly and kept inviting us to his favorite gin, which was very tasty! He genuinely enjoyed working there and that made us feel more welcome and enjoy our stay more. Thank you Ace for the great memories!

Singapore is pricey so this is pretty great value. + Very clean for a hostel + Surprisingly quiet (still recommend earplugs since it's a hostel) + Great breakfast + Close to amenities + Nice staff! + Bonus: toothbrush & toothpaste - Dryer does not work well - No elevator so walking up with heavy luggage is a bit of a pain

This is the best capsule I've ever lived in. I stayed here for 7 long days and i booked a solo pod, the pod was clean and the bed was comfortable and large for a single, the pod size was also good i didn't feel claustrophobic . I would say this is a bit expensive as compared to other hostels in SG but they have really justified it by providing a very clean and hiegenic environment. Food, they provide breakfast with multiple options like cereal, fruits, noodles, chai/coffee, toasts and all were good in taste. They also have a nice lobby/bar/sitting area where you can have breakfast and other drinks or just chill out with your friends/family. Locker: they provide 2 locker one for shoes because you can't take your shoes in the pod hallway and another for keeping your luggage, the luggage locker is big in length but height could be an issue if your luggage is not the usual size(height b/w 1ft to 1.5ft). Location: ohh its location is very good, its just 2 min walk from the nearest MRT(metro) and the Chinatown main market so you can just step out and enjoy the local delicacies. So overall it was a very good experience and its a must try place.

Nice and budget friendly place to stay! The staff was very helpful The bunkbeds for couples are big and clean Maybe a bit cold during the day in the room. During the night its perfect. Bathrooms are most of the time clean and warm, the shower has good power. The breakfast is oke. But nothing special. At least there is something to eat. The location is great. Everything is close by and bus and metro stops all over the place Thank you for having us

Cute queen size capsule though a bit noisy and not much space for luggage. Security locker didn’t work. Bathrooms in the mornings after the use of many people a bit dirty, but I suppose that’s the fault of some guests. Good location in Chinatown, precious food options around, MRT station very close.

Ensured to check the following before booking: Shuttle bus? They mentioned that the shuttle wasn’t scheduled for the time being so I knew I had to go by myself Laundromat? They mentioned that we can do laundry at the vicinity. Asked if there’s any other amenities that aren’t available that I should know of? Was told no. On the day itself, was told that the locker doesn’t really work inside the pod hence if I had something that I needed to be watched over, I could pass it to the front counter. Was disappointed by that but appreciated that they told me beforehand. Then was told the shoe locker wasn’t locking. And then, that the laundromat wasn’t working. I was really bummed bc the primary reason I needed accommodation was to do my laundry after a concert, didn’t appreciate how I was lied to literally 12 hours prior my arrival. Also didn’t like how on the site before booking it was $45, but somehow towards the end it totalled to $60, but maybe that’s bc of the site itself. Also didn’t like how the site showed checkout af 5:30pm, but the receptionist told me that checkout was 12. The room for the pod itself was insanely smelly, understandably so. Everyone had their dirty laundry airing out and there was no effort to properly ventilate the place, it stank like eggs and farts and sweat, it was so heavy with stench you could possibly drink the air. I was not able to sleep bc it stank so much. I eventually tired myself out and slept at 4am. What saved this experience was the hot shower // kinda individual bathroom which allowed me to take a nice long 10 min shower. And the following day, there was decent breakfast provided that was made fresh. Fresh coffee/tea was also served, to those who drink that. There were sausages, beans, toast, hard boiled eggs and scrambled eggs, and 2-3 types of cereal. Overall I get that there were circumstances that couldn’t be avoided, but I heavily didn’t like being lied to (the laundromat). The stench also really traumatised me, I can’t pass chinatown without the memory of the place gagging me. But the receptionist was friendly, my pod was really clean and made nicely, food was amazing and the bathroom was nice too. Overall a 3/5.

Great location. Right at the Chinatown and opposite Chinatown mall that has lots of cheap stalls and a food court in it. Serve lots of food as well as Michelin Star food. Very convenient location and very near to MRT station and everywhere are just walking distance. 1.8km walk to Merlion. We stay at 6 beds family room. Surprisingly the room was quite packed with very limited walking space with our luggage around. Our room was with an attached bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Snacks, coffee and bottle water was provided. There's a sharing pantry/basic kitchen at the check in counter. There are 2 CUBE Boutique hostel next to each other. This one with FAMILY on it so make sure you go to the right hostel.

It’s important that it is all dormitory style accommodation where you are sharing with whole bunch of people and each cube only has a curtain as privacy so there’s no noise or physical barrier. If your luggage is oversize, you won’t be able to store as I experienced and no elevator so you will need to cart your things up several stairs. As I had already paid for the room and found the true type of accommodation, and didn’t want to stay like this, went to the Furama Hotel…. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Location : superb, nearby MRT Chinatown, easy to find Room : Narrow room was expected but I hate how the air condition was not help at all, so hot, I barely had a good time Breakfast : okay Price: expensive as it’s Singapore 😅 Service : The staff during check-in time was very helpful (she’s Chinese) and she’s polite, everything I asked, she responded with a good manner and well respected But staff (Night Shift) was horrible, I asked to buy drinking water and asked a bit more if I could buy the small bottle (they only had a big one) she can only just say no but she kept rolling her eyes up and responded in aggressive voice that made guests at the reception turned around and looked at her. I insisted that I used my normal voice with respected manner (she’s Indian, black) to be specific, I stayed at the hotel May13-May14 2023 the event happened at May 13 night time. I would not recommend you guys to stay at this hotel at all, better find a new one. **Oh, this hotel only suitable for solo, not suitable for family or a couple because it’s really narrow, not good for a long vacation too***

Short version: if you're NOT a solo traveller and can afford to push your budget up a little: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Detailed version: Arriving at 2:30 pm for your 3:00 pm check in here is still "late" as you will probably be last in line and given the worst choice of a bunk, ie, the top one by the door. Your check-in will also take at least an hour or so, no matter what time you arrive. If you get a bunk by the door, enjoy getting smacked every time someone opens the door. If you get a top bunk, be prepared to almost fall each time you try to climb into or out of the bunk. The dorms rooms are also very noisy so make sure you carry your best earplugs/noise cancelling earphones. Their lockers also don't work always: I was told by the staff to trust people and rely on the CCTV in case my belongings were tampered/stolen. You only get one bottle of water when you check in and you're expected to refill this from their bathroom faucets when you run out of water. Speaking of which, there are about 12 bathrooms, most of which are either always occupied or very wet and not very clean. The good parts: Melody is an excellent receptionist who was very kind and gracious and helped me switch to a bottom bunk after 2 nights. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent, considering this is a budget stay. The location of the hotel is excellent, it is in the heart of Chinatown, only a few minutes from the MRT (use exit A). I would only recommend this hotel for solo travellers on a tight budget. If you're travelling with others or can extend your budget slightly, it may be more prudent to consider a regular hotel.

When you book a hotel in advance, payment has cleared, and then you arrive to find that the photos are completely misleading, what do you do? Our room smelled strongly of chicken rice from the restaurant below, the wall of my cube was held together with duct tape, the walls are paper thin, the carpet wasn't vacuumed and was dirty, there were hairballs and dust bunnies around the mattresses. The showers and toilets are shared and most of the time, they were dirty (the staff cleaned, but the other guests were gross). We had a private room, but we couldn't even control the lights. The first 2 nights, the lights stayed on all night, but on the third night, they randomly shut off at midnight and we couldn't turn them on to pack for the airport in the morning. It was super bizarre! The usb chargers didn't actually charge anything...a trickle at best and the wifi was not usable. Just book somewhere nicer; it will make your stay in Singapore much more enjoyable.

(Translated by Google) Family stays are strongly recommended. Fooled By Image Pictures Stayed 4 Days It's an experience. The first soundproofing is not at all. Customers coming in loudly at 1-2 am The sound of the sound in the hallway is just right by the side I hear it. It sounds like I set the alarm at 7:00 in the morning I'm talking. The second toilet smells all day I'm coming up. It's hard to store and it's like a single room hotel Breakfast is not available. Of course the washing machine also got money at the reception You can use it after you pay. The third air conditioner is on the second floor Is located right in the sleeping area It is a structure that hangs easily to a neck, Absolutely more than American prison Small structure (based on drama) My personal opinion, 120,000 won per night Get a better 4-star hotel for the same price. Anyway, good image of Singapore I thought about it in a bad image This time it can change I'm realizing it again. (Advantage) ... 10 minutes from the station. Travellers with heavy luggage, this is not the place for you, as they dont have any lifts and you need to carry your suitcase and prams by yourself. They will not charge of sheets (room topups) if you come at the odd hours to the day. There are no hot water for all, only for for couple of us, and rest just did cold shower. Overall my 2 days stay here is not a great. :(

I know it's a capsule hotel but please. We booked the deluxe double private and we get a room that share a tiny space with some storage room. Make note. If you get room 302. Ask for a change. The worst room. No window. Hidden inside a storage. No tv (there's space and wire for the tv but they clearly take it off and we saw other deluxe double room have tv in it). No way you get air circulation. They didn't even give you drinking water like promised. Just...don't stay here. We regret every single second of our time here, but too much hassle and no time to arrange to move out due to our schedule. Will never return to this place and will spread the word to everyone we know.

My stay at CUBE - Boutique Capsule Hotel in Chinatown was truly unique and innovative. Capsule living was beautifully done, providing a fresh and modern twist on housing. The capsules were unexpectedly roomy and well-designed, with smart features such as personal power outlets and privacy curtains. The futuristic ambiance made the stay more exciting. The social rooms, such as the lounge and communal areas, were attractively created, encouraging guests to feel a feeling of togetherness. The hotel's central position in Chinatown made visiting the bustling neighbourhood a breeze. The staff was pleasant, offering helpful local information and assuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. While the concept may not be for everyone, CUBE - Boutique Capsule Hotel provides a unique experience.

Beds and bathroom are good but one thing I does not like about was the mirror placement. They should have place it at the spot which I place my leg under. I can't be able to charge my phone overnight and some of the socket is broken at the shelf. Some lights are also broken. That's all I can say, Hope they fix that.

I booked a non refundable rate and asked if there is any chance to cancel it as an exception. They told me that they refund the money but then they wrote me an email that they made a mistake and will not refund the money. I would have understand if they said it directly as it was non refundable but now I changed plans as I believed in the message of the refund. I called the hotel and there was no interest shown in solving the probelm and find a solution (like credit for future stay,...). I can not say anything about the hostel itself but this service is really bad.

We had a nice experience despite how small of the room we got. We reserved deluxe double room with a private bathroom. The staffs were very helpful with everything we needed. If you go with a huge luggage, I wouldn’t recommend to stay in this place because there’s only one stair that’s quite stiff and small to get through to the reception and your room. The location is superb, you can find many hawkers around easily. Overall we had nice experience to stay for 6 nights.

Super happy with this Hostal! We stayed here for 4 nights. It is in the centre of Singapore, very easy to reach everything. Very cheap compared to other things. The beds and bathrooms are very clean. Great breakfast in the morning. Overall 10/10!

Cheap and convenient location are its most value points. If you are travelling in small group (3-5 people) and don't want to share bathroom with other groups, this is the choice for you. Near Chinatown MRT exit A (purple and blue line) and many bus stops around, easy to reach everywhere in Singapore from here. 45 minutes to Changi airport, 15 minutes to Sentosa island, 15 minutes to Gardens by the bay, etc. Room is tiny (like every other cheap hotels in Singapore) but the bunk bed is comfortable. Not enough to open all suitcases at same time, if you're a group of 3, book a quadruple room. Not sound-proof. There are international sockets next to each bed, only 1 television. Many free snacks and drinks in room!

The hotel is about 4 minutes walk from chinatown mrt station, alot of resto around the hotel, never hungry. Everything we need is already provided by the hotel, clean room, big towel, etc. The room is tiny but it is ok for me n 2 kids. But if you travel with elderly, it will be a little hard because the hotel rooms start at the 2nd floor so we need to climb up first because no elevator. But the hotel help me alot with my request to get a room at 2nd floor, no need to climb higher. Not suitable for travel with alot of baggage, you need to bring your own bag uo to 2nd or 3rd floor, only for travel light. Overall i really enjoy my stay at this hotel.

A fun experience in Chinatown. Family of 5 in our first ever capsule experience. Enjoyed it very much. Very friendly staff. Recommend it. Thank you.

Came back late from Sentosa and our flight was early in the morning. Just needed a place to shower and sleep. This place is so perfect!! The sheets are clean the shower ventilation is so good we felt so clean and fluffy dry despite the hot weather!!Water and clean towels were available and the bed was quite comfortable. I would definitely recommend!!

Like others have said, the room is very small. The bed is comfy enough though. The bathroom is so small that feel cramped of you choose to close the curtain. They provide various snacks for free in the room (cup noodles, coke, mineral water, snickers and crackers) which is very nice. There is no elevator, only stair located in small alley beside the building (just like any other hostel in SG). It will be challenging if you bring big luggage. Eventhough the name is family, I think this Hotel is more to younger family. For elders it will be quite problemsome. The location is very strategic, across is a very big food court, so you would not get hungry. We have a very good experience with the staff named Juanna, she is very helpful.

  • 5/5 Wee S. 8 months ago on Google
The place was super clean and modern. The beds were comfy and the check-in process was smooth and they let you keep your bags at reception at checkout if you wanted to explore the city. The lock system was down so the lockers beside each bed didn’t work which meant there was no safe space to keep valuable although they offer to hold them at the front desk. The bathrooms were very hot. Not a lot of space in the breakfast area so it quickly gets crowded.

  • 4/5 Musab A. 8 months ago on Google
It a great place, the staff are helpful and the facilities are great. The only issue I had was that the capsule felt stuffy and kept having to open the curtain and left it slightly open at night and the overall room was a good temperature but I think it needs to be even colder to affect the capsules temp. The hotel did seem like it was in the process of updating some systems so maybe I was just unlucky to be there before the finished product.

Very nice hostel. Not the cheapest but very worth it. It includes breakfast. The hostel is very clean. The air conditioner is freezing though 🥶 The employee is very friendly. So friendly that i had a good times talking with them. The hostel is very strategic, it is near the chinatown MRT station. 2 minutes walking and you got there. The hostel located upstairs, above the popular hawker restaurant. Not a convenience situation if you bring so many bags since there is no one helping you brings the bags upstairs. The shower rooms also very limited but it is very clean. 10/10 would stay here again whenever I’m back to singapore

(Translated by Google) Although the room is small but very clean and secure. Cute receptionist but enthusiastic. Check-in procedure is quite quick. A deposit of S $ 100 is required for check-in, will be returned upon check-out. (Original) Tuy phòng hơi nhỏ nhưng rất sạch sẽ và an ninh. Tiếp tân dễ thương mà nhiệt tình. 1 star for the room. Didn't expect to be so warm inside the capsule even though there is a vent inside. Asked one of the staff and was answered that there was no way to increase the ventilation in the bed area. It's still hot even though all curtains are up. Location-wise, this is a great place. Walking distance to chinatown food/souvenir areas. If you have a lot of gadgets, I recommend that you bring your own extension cord as each capsule has 2 plug sockets. I do not recommend the place if you have big luggage as stairs are too steep.

Stayed here for 4 Days 3 Night, and overall I satisfied. The location was real deal great, it’s nearby 2 MRT Station; Chinatown and Maxwell, and near Bus Station also. The street has some food stall in the night. 7 eleven is also nearby. Toilet was okay, room was good. Despite, the pod is quite hot if I close the curtain. I got the upper pod, so I have to open the curtain every time I feel hot (lack of privacy). I recommend you to get the lower pod to make it easier, open the storage (below the pod). There’s also some uncomfortable spot in the corner of the room is messed up causing of another traveler. After all we’ve got a free breakfast. It’s all worth it. They serve 2 kind of carbs, fruits, boiled egg, tea, coffee, they also provide stove for us to make our scrambled egg with mushroom and pepper. But the minus is the stairs. It’s really tired to bring our luggage upstairs. But overall is great. Will definitely back.

  • 5/5 Ismi H. 4 years ago on Google
Wont regret staying here. Yes you have to take the stairs but if you are travelling the world that's mean you are healthy, lugging suitcases in a single flight of stairs wont matter to you (ar least you are not over 85 that is). But its all worth it. It was only three blocks away from the mrt station (walk around 3 - 5 minutes?) And there are so many entrances so would never find any trouble finding the mrt (btw buy Singapore pass its all worth the money). Somebody said that there are no toilets on the room only showers but you are wrong buddy, there was definetly a toilet, a sink and whats top it all it has a high rain showers that guaranty a happy showers experience. The bedsheets are super comfy and whats more: you got tons of pillows. And I got a free upgrade.

Overall, very clean, good location, and front desk was very friendly and service was great. Great place if you’re introverted/ want minimal interaction with other guests. If you’re looking to socialize and actually meet others, find a different place. Pros - Very clean - Good location but can be easy to miss as its on second floor. The family version is a few doors down. - Good customer service - Offers discounted tourist attractions - Secured locks for baggage - Can leave baggage after check out if you’re catching a later flight - Did it’s job as a place for me to sleep - Great location. Near the MTR but could also walk to the downtown core within 20-30 mins Cons - The ability to get up onto the upper bunk needs a redesign, almost slipped/fell. Didn’t have enough storage space for a checked baggage (top bunk only) - Not sound proof, it’s only a black out blind divider. The other guests were very respectful but you can still hear them come and go - Hotel needs to implement a strict no visitor rule (!!!)

Location is great! Near to MRT and food court, strategic location. Staff was good! One of the staff was a bit ignorant but I guess it was just a bad day because the rest of the days they were accommodating. Room is small but then again it is a capsule hotel so can't complain much. Just make sure to not bring a really big luggage bag because the 2 person room is super small. Room amenities are okay. They provide complimentary drinks and snacks. Room TV has Youtube, Netflix, etc. But towel is sketchy, smells weird before using it for the first time. Electric sockets are a hit or miss. The first room I could charge my powerbank fine. But once I moved room, the electric socket burnt my powerbank inside out (smoke came out from the powerbank). This problem is either management problem or resident problem (didn't turn off the switch before checking out). Anyhow, really important matter when you check in. Overall, okay stay. Would stay here again due to really strategic location.

Don't see photo from the internet It's small then u can imagine Just a walk way and a small place for you to sit on the floor. Would recommend if you are here for a good night sleep and not for those that stay in room half the day. Noise level is there cause it's near the food market. Drinking unlce will be shouting at night so ya. Noisy noisy

The customer service was friendly. The place was abit squeezy. For one with claustrophobic, this is not the place for u as it has no window. However the fact the room has 2 queen size bed, 2 single bed is amazing.

Cube Hotel Chinatown was NOT soundproofed as advertised. Instead you were faced with the noises of the very busy Chinatown and an incredibly loud air conditioner and a main door that needs to be slammed shut to close it. I had no sleep for the nights I was there. The pillows are also super crazy soft so no neck support at all. The lovely lady at concierge emphasised the ‘no shoes’ policy to me numerous times for the walk through however everyone else in my room had their shoes inside the room for the entire duration of their stay. Good concept, needs refining.

It was my first stay in a capsule hotel and I really liked it. I don't need a big room and the space was Clendenin designed so I had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable the AC effective and I had a quiet and restful night. I love the location right in Chinatown. They were a bit apologetic about the secure locker not working and offered me an alternative. The locker did work.

Only pick this hotel if you're a backpacker or perhaps a couple. Forget about the family rooms, as they're teeny tiny. We booked two rooms and can't open the connecting door because we have so much luggage and no space left in the room. The washbasin, shower and closet are almost in the same spot and super compact. However, the hotel is situated near the Chinatown MRT station, which is fantastic but unsuitable for larger families, seniors and travellers with lots of luggage. There's no elevator available, the staff are minimal and can't help you carry luggage up/down the stairs. The receptionist convinced us they'd have someone to assist us with the luggage when we check-in. When we checked in and out, no one was available, so we had to bring our luggage (three big suitcases, three smaller suitcases, four hand carry) from the ground level to the third storey. It was quite a challenge as we have three young kids (under five) And great! We've booked two rooms for three nights in this so-called "family hotel".

Pros - Really comfy beds. Didn’t have a problem sleeping - Decent breakfast with noodles, cereal and toast. - Amazing location right in the middle of Chinatown. Hawker food is adjacent. Cons - REALLY run down. Broken locks, hot water not functioning in some bathrooms, and general heavy wear and tear. - Bathrooms were not clean with scum all over walls especially near sinks. - Poorly designed in a variety of aspects such as unsafe ladders, capsule shelving and bathroom layout. - Bar was without social life. One of the only people there was asked to leave as she was eating an ice cream cup from outside. - Receptionist gave me my card and didn’t say a word about anything else such as rules (no shoes in rooms). I don’t think the owner cares for this place. I’d look for other places to stay in future.

I booked this hotel for one night layover. I didn’t have any problems with the size. I knew it was a tiny capsule hotel going in. It was a fun experience. But I wouldn’t stay maximum two nights. For the price, I am satisfied.

My first time staying at capsule hotel. Best dicision for a solo traveler and would definitely stay here again when i visit sg alone. The place is clean, there are several bathrooms and all are clean. Receptionist, Ms. Terry, is nice and very helpful. Place is easy to find (by google maps or citymaper), near MRT station and bus station. good deal and good location.

Location is the selling point. Near mrt, malls & lots of eateries. Room is average, toilet door's lock is spoilt & cannot be locked. Also see a loose open wire, not sure whether in use but we taped it up. .

The hotel doesn't comes with lift or escalator, it is a old building in China town and i understand that. But this is a Family Boutique and the room is 3 floors up stairs so i definitely not recommend for family to stay here, moving 4 to 5 heavy luggage to 3 floors is not fun. The bathroom is so small, i cant barely turn my body around without touching the wall or got the bathroom curtain stick to my body when showering, please change to a better curtain. The air conditioning is not working properly, it's like 25 degree in the room when although the air conditioning is set to lowest possible to 17 degree, even the temp at the corridor is much better & cooler than inside my room. Already feedback this issue to the receptionist, and they offer to change to another room, thats the only good side for this hotel. And lastly, the noisy environment and thin wall, i can basically hear everything.... So definitely not recommend this hotel =(

  • 1/5 Peter O. 1 year ago on Google
Totally not recommended. Never stay here. Warning! This Cube Family Boutique is very bad and refuse to assist during the covid period. Previously book a room with them for quarantine last time. In the end, the person cannot make it into Singapore. They refuse to allow change name for another person to stay and insist on confiscating our food and lodging money around $1000. Lousy service. Small room. No heart for people. Bad.

It is a modern hotel located in the middle of Chinatown. When you want the convenience of the location, you have to sacrifice the space when you choose this hotel. The room I stayed in was Family deluxe with four bunk beds, two big and two small. But the space in the room is so narrow that if you stay with 4-6 people, you cannot move without bumping into each other. There is no window views for my room and there is no refrigerator. The bathroom is also not big. The electrical outlets are hidden behind wall of the bed.
