Hotel is ok but the team behind the establishment is one of the best i ever experience versus the other hotels i stayed in. We booked for premium room for 2 nights. Was greeted by a old-timer staff Jamaluddin Bin Mohamed. He was the one to have fun with. Told me that there was balloon sculptor making customised balloon for the festive and my gf loved it so much. Then initially we was placed into room 235 after choosing from 3 rooms. Room was spacious, sunny and comfy. It was until the night that we know that the hot water tap was spilling brownish water for both the bathtub and sink. Told Jai at the same night and we was allocated into room 236. Don't know why but the bed at 236 is really off-aligned. We didn't have a good night sleep and we was constantly disturbed by a drunkard at around 5am to 6am-ish. We informed the front desk and didn't expect for any payment recovery or any additional changes. Jamal & Aqilah acted on it instantaneously and swap a room for us. After that, what Hairul did was remarkable and honourable that made me write this review on the staff. He personally come over to our room & proposed a payment recovery while constantly apologising to us when it is not their fault. We felt our utmost gratitude to the team behind the counter. But would like to also feedback to the organisation on regards to the poor state in which the hotel is now facing. Last and foremost; Jamal, Hairul, Jai and Aquilah, we didnt have the chance to say a proper goodbye and we hope you like our gift before we checked out. Thanks again.

It’s a good hotel situated in the heart of little India. One of a centrally located hotel that is well connected. The hotel is an old property but have ample rooms. It’s a decent stay and with minimal service. And cannot expect much luxury from this place. It’s an ideal budget friendly hotel and has easily accessibility for food and travel options.

I would not recommend this place, as it was quite disappointing. The actual appearance of the hotel differs significantly from the pictures. While the front of the hotel, where the name is displayed, remains the same. The paint has peeled off on the windows and other construction, giving it a worn-out look. Furthermore, the location lacks the lively atmosphere depicted in the promotional images. To my surprise, there were tents set up in the driveway, possibly indicating that they had sublet the space due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although I did not have the opportunity to see the rooms or stay overnight, I visited the hotel to assess its condition. It is understandable that the hotel might be facing challenges, but basic aesthetic maintenance seems to be neglected. If the group of 24 people I had booked for had witnessed the actual state of the hotel, they would have undoubtedly been disappointed. The reality falls short of the expectations set by the promotional materials. During my visit, I found myself questioning whether I had booked a hotel that was still undergoing maintenance. I want to clarify that I AM NOT IMPLYING that this is a terrible hotel. I cannot say that the hotel is not clean either. Just that it's not as appealing as the pictures. I would strongly suggest the hotel to either re-upload the pictures of the exterior or definitely or replaint it, or slash the prices until they do. The lobby itself appeared quite appealing. However, had I checked in, the first impression would have been as though I had reserved a hotel that was still in the process of being renovated, to put it simply. That will change once you enter the hotel. Don't judge a book by it's cover Definitely not upto Singapore standards in tourism, considering the outlook of the property.

The good: 1. Service was really good. Unlike other hotels in Singapore, we were given early check-in upon request without having to excessively plead. 2. Breakfast was nice! The spread was adequate and taste was good. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. 3. There was a bathtub in the washroom. The bad: 1. The bed was really small. They give queen size beds even in the higher category rooms. The room with two single beds was actually better. 2. The route, lobby and overall facade of the hotel doesn't feel like that of a 4 star hotel 3. No swimming pool Overall a comfortable and satisfactory stay with the hotel. The staff more than makes up for the shortcomings with the hotel infrastructure with their service.

The room was big in size and was clean. Staff was courteous enough but not as helpful as one would expect from this hotel. They didn't provide bottles with drinkable water. I don't see myself drinking tap water at a non-cheap hotel. The WiFi was horrible, it kept disconnecting every minute or two. We couldn't find the kettle and coffee for quite a while as it was hidden in some wardrobe. I wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel is very good and the services are good. Complementary breakfast provided and it is very near to little India and 1km range to Mustaffa centre. If you are coming to Singapore for Business purpose then highly recommend to choose this one.

review: Confusion regarding the room booking - Despite paying 100% advance payment, the hotel confused the room booking and caused inconvenience to the guests. Non-functional air conditioning - Despite several complaints, the air conditioning in the rooms was not functional causing discomfort to the guests. Poor customer service - The hotel staff was uncooperative and failed to provide proper solutions to the problems faced by the guests. Discriminatory behavior - The guests felt that the hotel staff showed discriminatory behavior towards them, causing dissatisfaction and frustration. Unsatisfactory infrastructure - Despite the rooms being decent in terms of infrastructure, the overall experience was marred by poor customer service and non-functional air conditioning. In conclusion, the hotel's service and customer experience was far from satisfactory, and guests are advised to be cautious when choosing this hotel for their stay.

-Service is ace, Fred on the frontdesk and the gentlemen manning the door were really lovely! -Top location, very central. -Rooms are a bit dated, as mentioned here previously, but everything worked well and absolutely clean. -Price is great for what you get. Enjoyed my stay here.

Not sure how this motel got a 4 star, 2.5 is generous, we paid for a Superior room, can honestly say they have no idea of superior. Very bad standard room, my cat would have hit every wall should I have swung it. Had to keep asking for tea bags as they only left 2 a day (no milk was offered). Shower/bath had chunks out of the enamel and a bad permanent mark on the toilet seat. Pillows were awful, bed was comfy. The staff had NO customer service skills if you asked them for any information they would not assist. However every taxi we got from the hotel they were the best cabbies and gave you loads of holiday options things to do, places to see and eat. These guys wouldn't contact our transport to airport to confirm a time, we couldn't as the WIFI at this hotel was useless.

3 stars at best. There was definitely a covid patient in the room next door and he coughed nonstop, which we could hear through the thin walls. The bathroom/amenities were that of a 3 star hotel. Customer service was difficult sometimes due to language barrier. Our phone didn’t work for housekeeping so i had to call the front desk to have towels brought to our room but they never came. Small things like that tended to add up over the course of our 5-day stay. Great location. Having breakfast on-site and 7/11 nearby was convenient.

I did my trip in Dec 2019, the hotel oh I love it. Especially the road and location is super prime. Few mins walk we have train lines. I visited when hotel was under construction for new area, so we do faced few hicups. Breakfast area was bit small But I am sure now everything is fixed so we just love the hotel and the view. Rooms were comfortable Location 10/10 Breakfast 10/10 Staff 10/10 Cleaning 10/10

I believe this is a prestigious hotel in Singapore. We stayed for 8 nights in this location. It is in a lovely colonial style of building, but nothing inside the room shows signs of being room. Room and the amenities are bright and clean, and the staff is courteous and helpful at all times. The locality is not central to the tourist hot spot, but bus stops and a subway station are within 5 minutes of walk. My 9-day stay there, however, was not perfect, blemished by flaws. Our first day check-in, two rooms, next to each other were assigned on the first floor. There is a small green landscape just outside the rooms. Unfortunately, the rooms are directly across from the hotel's huge air-conditioning compressor & condenser room, loudly blowing air out toward one of the rooms' window. My friend had to request a change to a distant room. I stayed in the next room for one night without sleep, even with my earplugs on. In addition to airplane propeller like noise, the bathroom sink leaked. When I turned on the water to wash my hands, the water was flushing on my feet. The water in the shower could not recede bc it was clogged. Next morning, the staff moved me to another room. It was nice and clean. But my luck was still following me or what. Two nights in a roll, while I was taking a show, the hot water just stopped flowing after 2 minutes. No water coming out while I have soap bubbles all over. Well, next night, the same problem repeated. They did finally fix this problem. Everything else about this hotel is great. Perhaps just water jinxed me. Perhaps the hotel should insulate those two rooms to sound proof before they assign them to guests, and they should prioritize water flow and sinks inspection too.

We checked in early at this property. 1. Rooms were to be given on subject to availability basis, they had 210 rooms. 2. They charged us another SD100 for one room for early check-in which was supposed to be given as subject to availability rule. 3. We had 3 kids and we travelled all the way long for over 9 hours in night and faced issue after paying approx 3500SD for our stay. 4. after paying SD100 we were not given our choice of rooms with even when they were having list of passengers in which it shows kids, they gave us two Twin bed room instead of Queen Bed. 5. Steve, the reception guy and the hotel management tried loot extra money in the name of subject to availability. 6. When we checked online, the room was showing in available. 7. When we showed some strictness and complained about service, they allotted us the remaining 2 room ASAP before check in time. If we weren’t have fought, they would have charged extra for 2 other rooms. 8. For 2 rooms which they allotted early after complaining, they were first saying it will be given by 2 PM then they did it ASAP. 9. Jamaal was splendid and managed us very well after all.

A pretty decent hotel considering the price and location. mins away from Bugis Junction, Tekka place - if you would like to explore the area. Hotel room is not too bad, a little old. To add on, they do not provide bottled water. So you have to get bottled water by yourself. 7/11 is just around the corner, have a few restaurants just right below the hotel.

The only 2 good things in the hotel is the location as it’s next to metro station and the bill man Jamal, the room is small, and the bath towels were dirty, I asked for exchanging them with no response except the second day. In other day I woke up by an electric spark that I changed my room at 2:30 am. And i also found dirty towels. I discussed that with the hotel management and we have agreed to get 2 nights refund that I never had so far.

Its near CITY. Mostly taken by Tourists from India as the Hotel is next to LITTLE INDIA in Singapore. Public Transport connectivity is great at this hotel. Some renovation works going around. Albert Court is not the typical hotel lobby you may imagine. But its good.

Comfortable stay. The place is located on the edge of little India, so you are away from the usual hustle and bustle. Neat and clean, well connected to MRT and bus. Room size is small but comfortable. No water bottles given, use tap water. Good place, good location.

Located very close to little india area, designed in a historical looking building, the staffs are well behaved, the breakfast spread is very good, the chef deserves appreciation for that. Only things to remember is that they have the policy that the booking amount has to be paid at check in and in card preferably. They should provide moisturiser, which is a basic necessity. Rest things were very good. They even allow the baggage storage for few hours if you have late flight.

A good hotel at a good location. Staff is helpful. They arranged for our breakfast very early in the morning on request. I would recommend them to increase the selection of fruits in the breakfast as it was the same every day. Overall, it was a good stay and experience. Also, note that if you want early check-in, you have to pay extra according to the hours you are checking in early. We were requesting them this via emails as we had small kids, but there was no response from them so we had to pay extra at the hotel.

I commented to request a quiet room, turn out I live in rm 209, unbelievably a neighbourhood to a Karaoke? You can listen to my video. The room is aging, where I believe it was a 4 star hotel but definitely without maintenance in a high quality. Bathroom just smell moldy. I have 4 members in family and they prepared me 3 set of toiletry kits. I called the service twice but in vain. I went to front desk to get my kits and he recommended me to call room service : D ….. If you are lucky and got a room in higher floor, probably the location is the reason you should choose it.

Came here 'cos of good reviews but now i really wonder how the good reviews came from. Front desk service charged me for the room upon check in although i repeated shared my app screen that my booking had been paid when i booked online. Staff then brushed me off saying i can go to my room and can come down again if there's any issues. I had to login to my bank account to proof that i have made payment before staff reverse the additional payment. Bathroom had ramnants of used materials (toothpaste, packaging) from previous guest. Bathroom door is not working well. Sink drainage was slow. Room is not soundproof. I can hear everything from conversations next room, bar music downstairs, knocking, flushing and was aruptly awoken from sleep cos of door slaming. The rooms and corridors are old and rundown. The room door often stuck when i try to open. I think the security function of main door on the floor was switched off as well. Bedsheets has some light stains. Fridge is not cold even for drinks although the instructions on fridge states it was kept at 8 to 12 degrees Celsius. The wifi was spotty so cant watch streaming on it. I've stayed in other hotels in sg before. But this was certainly not of standard . I had actually wanted to check out the moment i checked in.

An absolutely fabulous "all you can eat breakfast" is served here, so you can have a great start to your day's adventure. The staff are all very helpful and made every effort to ensure that we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel location was also very good. However, Singapore has a most impressive public transport system, so getting around is exceptionally easy no matter where you are staying.

I spent my life savings hoping that this will change my life but all it did was make me poor I guess it did change my life since I lost my wife and kids after this hotel purchase πŸ’€. 1/10 wouldn't recommend unless they add a new expansion feature update where you change to the opposite gender or something life changing that is πŸ‘.

We stayed for 5 days in village hotel Albert court. It was great time staying there .. Had the best hospitality and very co-operative staff. Perfect location to stay close to MRT and walking distance to little India. And best thing we got an upgrade to deluxe room which is big and clean.Happy stay.

Singapore hotels were just in general expensive. This was more on the affordable side with kids. Started off pretty rough, not sure if we checked in super late due to a delayed flight or not but that room was pretty bad. Next day we nicely asked about it with pictures and they were able to get us to another room opposite to the main building and it was MUCH better. That building also had a lot of air purifiers but with the switch it was a good experience. The location was alright but it's in little India if that is something you consider. The taxis are super cheap so it didn't make a real difference for us location wise plus Singapore isn't that large anyways

The receptionist at lobby called jona is very friendly and service oriented. She smiled as i collected my luggage n offered to get me a taxi. The previous day check in gentlemen staff tall guy was not friendly and stern, and did not see me in the face when saying good evening. Room single beds are small. And mattress quite hard. Shower n water pressure is excellent. Toothbrush bristles cannot use, i suggest staff try it out. Air con is good. Location is excellent and convenient

The hotel is clean, and at convenient location. Metro station, Little India are just walkable from the hotel. They have good breakfast spread. Considering Indian visitors they do include Indian dishes in breakfast spread. Varieties of coffee, fruits makes it more delicious. Service is also good. We stayed there for 6 days and we had good experience.

I stayed here with my 2 sons and was travelling as a single parent. Did wish I’d opted for a double bed rather than 2 singles. We arrived at the hotel earlier than the published time and the hotel allowed us to check in. The room was away from reception and quiet. Jamal was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We were able to relax and change before beginning our adventures after our night flight. We were close to Little India and the station was great as it has 2 lines to choose from which was quick and easy to get to wherever we needed to go. The breakfast was fine and they serve no beef due to the location or Pork so that was a plus for me as my sons could eat everything available - so halal food The only disappointment was we went for breakfast the one morning and as we were leaving the housekeeping were around, we came back within 15minutes and we then had to wait to get in to get our stuff… the hotel need the signs to say do not clean or do not disturb etc As I had been given 2 keycards I placed one in the entry panel so the lights could be switched on easily when my sons enter. The next day I returned to find this keycard and been removed and taken, which then meant me trying to balance everything and out the card in which I then dropped etc.

Very good location in downtown, standard rooms, service is good, good breakfast spread. Lot of restaurants/brewery just outside and you can sit there till 1/2 AM. A convenience store just opposite of hotel where u get essentials. 5 minutes walk to Rochor station in Downtown Line MRT.

The staffs were super friendly! The room itself was very clean. The service and hospitality was just amazing! The location is a huge plus point when it comes to this hotel. It’s super close to Rochor and Little India MRT station. I’d highly highly recommend staying here if you wanna explore Singapore like a local. Will definitely be back here on my next trip to SG!

I was welcomed by a very friendly young staff at the reception and he accompanied us to our room. The air condition was not strong and after dinner, came back to room I did not realise the door ledge was very loose. It took me to have made 3 calls and feeling so tired and sleepy had to wait. Location is great and easy access for food and shopping

It is a family staycation and a birthday stay-in for me and our 1st stay in this hotel. Overall the experience was pleasant and was made memorable with a great first impression from your guest service staff, namely Mr Jamal (my children call him Atuk) Clean room, not a single pest or ant, well functioning equipment, wifi can be a lil shaky in the room that we are in but no sleep is lost over it. Checking in was a little of a hassle, came 15mins early but was waiting for a fair bit to get the administration done but like I said, Jamal made it pleasant by entertaining the children with hand painting, giving out candies etc. On the last day, he was sharing about other children activities and kindly offer to also extend our check out by another hour. I am in the F&B and service industry too and it is pleasant to observe a passionate and genuine service staff! He is a keeper, Village Court!

Had a pleasant stay here on the 15th May 22, was great by Alex and team at frontdesk. Service and arrangements were professional and well coordinated. Even at checkout, Muang and team was there to assist me and also helped me with my request to get a paper bag to keep my loose belongings. Overall it was a pleasant and decent stay. Thanks to the whole team whom were working on the 15th & 16th Jan 22.

Family Room is cozy. Close to bugis and little india..bars just below. Silent hotel and breakfast was good. However, the bathroom lacks maintenance. Shower head lacked pressure and holding handle was loose. It would have been better if toiletries were set based on number of people staying
