Stayed for 1 night. The staff was friendly. Check in was easy. The room (6 with private bathroom) was clean. Pillows, mattress & blankets were heaven. Every corner of the bed, it was installed with 2 plugs. Wifi was excellent. The toilet's good; came with shower gel but I saw tiny cockroach in toilet area. I love the common area (level 2). They got basketball, pool and video games. 2-3 tables for dining and simple kitchen utensils with fridge and sink. Lotsa book you may read. They offered you great view (balcony) in front and back view of the building. I love it! I had my dinner at the common area and unlucky for me to witnessed a friendly "ratatouille" was wandering & finding food. Overall the hostel was good but need to maintain the cleanliness (always) at the common area & shoe areas.

As bad as others have posted. Reception is never staffed. Hostel is the most bare bones I've ever stayed at with zero atmosphere. Towel not included and you can't even hire one, as reception is never staffed. If you get in late, as I did, forget taking a nap. The air conditioning is turned completely off from sun up to sun down and the rooms are nearly 40°c and over 100°F. Trust me, stay somewhere else that's clean and provides at least the most basic amenities.

Stayed in this 6 female dorm. Bed sheets looks dirty, totally understand they wash because I saw them change it but I guess it’s time to change a new one. Quite sad they don’t provide a locker shelf with a lock. You have to bring your own. And there’s no mini night light provided. I’ve stayed in a better backpacker hostel with these basic facilities provided in Singapore with a similar amount paid. Front desk staff very friendly. Walking distance to the bus stop which is quite convenient.

Be aware of bedbugs! We are 4 girls that stayed in the dorm 303 and we all had bedbugs. The bathroom is dirty, hair all over the sinks, clogged drains in the shower etc and it is not uncommon that the toilets lack toilet paper. on a positive note, except from the bedbugs the capsules are spacious and comfy and they provide free drinking water.

The staff was helpful and friendly but the hostel currently doesn't offer any of the perks that made me choose it. No pool and no breakfast, very disappointing and wish they'd update their current offerings.

If you have any care about hygiene, do not stay here. There are mold mites in the showers. The showers are never cleaned, I found the same safety pins on the floor 3 days in a row. Soap scum everywhere. Found a rolled up used sanitary towel in a shower, after the cleaner just walked out from “cleaning”. They only rinse the sinks and toilets once a day. Bathrooms are absolutely roasting so you barely feel like you have showered once you walk out. I am not sure how any of the comments have said this place is clean it is absolutely vile. My partner told me the men’s bathrooms are even worse. Rooms are tight. Dangerous ladders to get to top bunk so not sure what non-agile people do. Blinds for the beds clank loudly against ladders and lockers make a loud beeping noise to open which can be very annoying. Aircon turned off in the afternoon. Stained sheets. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

Staff welcoming. Clean and tidy. Close to trains and buses. Bus stop right outside the front door. Look out for Asia Champions League games at football ground behind hostel, if you are that way inclined. Spacious common area for eating and cooking. Many people speaking on phone and have their sound up high from devices. Why they think I want to listen to their stuff? I have no idea. Wear earphones guys.

I've rented private room for 5d4n with my family. The room is sufficient for all of us, the bed and the bathroom is really clean. On the receptionist level you can experience various games such as arcade and basketball. Also, you can mingle here with the other guests while sipping tea or eating noodles, as they also provide free water dispenser. Checkin and checkout process went really smooth. For the public transportation, it's nearby Aft Allenbay Rd bus station (1 min walk) and Farrer Parm MRT station (10 mins walk). Thank you for the service!

Went to this hostel for Coldplay's Concert. Everything was good for a budget capsule hostel. There is a universal plug for your cable so no need to buy a plug ins. The AC was cold and there is one toilet with bidet. As Indonesians I always need bidet for toilet and this hostel provide it. There was many good restaurants surrounding and near by the bus stop and MRT stations.

Fitness center doesn't exist. See pictures. Only 3 showers for all women though easily over 20 women could be staying here at capacity. Restroom is so humid everything is perpetually wet. Capsule rooms have a common light switch that disturbs your sleep. Air Con is way too high.

I regret to have booked this hostel. The common room is decent and bright and free-wifi internet is working well (only here). The hostel is surrounded by cheap eating places, cheap 24 hours neighbourhood mini market and next to a major bus stop. The free wifi doesnt work outside the common room. We are asked to store our shoes at the second level and changed to the slippers, but the slippers were not available for everyone and the surface of the floors itself were very dirty. So it is not recommended to walk bare feet and then the shoes' shelf was dirty too. The family room was very small, with only 1 meter width alley to walk between beds and bathroom. The bunk beds were not safely and securely design, there were stairs to climb up but there were no railings on the upper beds where you can hold on to when climbing the stairs up. So we had to hold on the moving/unstable mattresses. It was like a life-threatening experience each time we had to climb and down. The staff did nothing to make our stay more comfortable or giving the best customer experience. The breakfast just minimal, and on the one of the day the butter/margarine was finished, I asked for more and the staff were simply said "no more" without saying any sorry nor try their best to get it more. It seems that they were paid very minimal and they didnt strive to serve better to their customers/guests. The common room area looks tidy and clean, but once you walk around the other areas/ common bathroom areas/ alleys, they totally look the opposite. The staff could have done more to make all guests' stay comfortable. Overall, the hostel is considered okay/acceptable for a developing country's standard but certainly not for an international standard nor for a Singapore standard. I regret to have booked this hostel.

I stayed here for 3 days along with a few people. I love the location, there is many hawkers, shops around which you can try. it's not that far from mrt stations as well. The room was always clean and had an AC + fan that goes on from the evening to the morning. while the bed is cramped, you cant really go wrong with what you're expecting for a shared room bunk beds. there's a locker and 2 electrical plug for each people which is more than enough. There is a shared kitchen which had a small arcade, kitchen with complementary tea/coffee and water dispenser, and also small tables where you can hang out. The bathroom.. the bathroom is dirty unfortunately, the toilets sometimes have stains or is really wet. the shower are fine for what it is. I didnt get to interract much with the receptionist, it's true that they are only there at around 9 -> 10 at night so that might be a concern if you need to rent a towel/other things. overall, i can't really complain but know what you're going into. I'd recommend if you're travelling with other people or you have busy plans and only intend to sleep/shower.

This place is absolutely terrible, granted within the context of hostel accommodation in Singapore which is generally expensive and poor quality. The hotel staff was so rude it's unbelievable. I told them that I had an ankle injury and couldn't climb up the ladder to the top bunk so I needed to cancel a future reservation I had made (this was after I had already stayed two nights in the first reservation). The guy I spoke to on the phone literally started laughing at me and told me it was my fault and that it's not fair to them that I am requesting to cancel because I already booked. I was explaining to him I'M INJURED and they should be putting some details about the specifics (no lift, ladder for top bunk hovers very high above the ground, no ability to request bottom vs top bunk) and he basically hung up on me. I truly cannot believe that in a service hospitality field, someone's response to a paying guest's injury and 3 weeks advance notice request to cancel would be to laugh at them and say that it's not fair to the business. Absolutely unbelievable.

✅ Reasonable price for a very short stay ✅ Great location with food stall at ground floor and 1 minute walking distance from busstop. ✅ Locker for every person in the dorm room ⚠️ Photos on booking websites look way better. ⚠️ No lift. Not suitable for elderly or disabled people ⚠️ Cleaning items, equipments etc are not hidden or kept in storeroom ⚠️ Swimming Pool is NOT a part of the hostel. False advertising alert!

The room was compact but clean, AC was working well. However, since I stayed on the 3rd floor and the male restroom was on the 2nd floor, it was not quite accessible. The living room was nice, you could get access to drinkable water, hot water, a fridge, and a microwave. Lots of seating and enough tables to eat. The bus stop is right next to the hotel so it was easy to commute.

I must I have no choice to stay during Coldplay concert. All hotels had triple price during that time. Crazy! Only this hostel offer the reasonable price. I’ve got the upper bed and I think it was difficult to get into. It’s too high. Even for me with 180cm tall. Male shower only at Lv2 share space with laundry area. So expect some sweaty before and after shower. They only have 2 toilet. Only one attached with bidet. A big concern for SEA people. The good thing is this hostel surrounded by restaurants, coffee shop and hawkers.

AC wasn't working and receptionist was very rude when we asked for help to fix it. No AC for 2 nights in a row! We had to check out early. Was supposed to stay for 5 nights. Would have been okay but the receptionist didn't care at all and was very rude.

Let’s consider if you was planning to take a breaktime for taking rest from 2pm-3pm. The A/C system will be turn off and you definitely can’t stay in the box for sleeping. That is not convenience and was not supported by the staff here. Anyway the wifi conection on 3rd floor is also freaking bad, coundn’t do anything. *** it was not mentioned in the platform Agoda that I d booked.

Great choice to pick. Close to good food and transportation. I wish I get a towel, apart from that everything is great. Very friendly staff on the desk, help me several times for direction and which metro to go based on my wish 😁

Easily accessed by bus, but a little too far to walk from MRT station. But it’s was a fun walk tho since we passing a nice store complex with a lot of foodstall to choose from. The hostel was located in the heart of Jalan Besar with a lively night. They didn’t give you towel so you need to rent it at the front office if you need one. And it can be done between their reception hour only which is 9am-7pm.

The dorms offered the basic services, but it felt cramped. The bathrooms felt very unkempt as well. Before coming in to the lobby area, you must take off your shoes as per house rules, but upon walking into the space, you could smell a stench of feet from the first floor going up to the lobby. The location isn’t the best, but there are a lot of eateries nearby it. Overall, it does the job for affordable accommodation when/if you are on a budget.

Booked a family room for 8 pax for 2 nights. Not really comfortable to stay in this hostel. The place looks unkempt. You’d be greeted by the smell of shoes on your way to the common area- the place is dirty. Worst no aircon during the day. If a fire is to break out you’d be toast-checked out the next day -waste of money- far from MRT

I have stayed across Singapore many Hostels and there this is one of the most comfortable Hostel I've ever stayed. I felt so much home. Although they don't provide the breakfast, but every other things are great. A big hall for resting and preparing your food, Good place for stacking your shoes, Nice and neat beds, Big bathrooms with chairs, Hassle free booking and checkout. I really couldn't find much issues here except there is no elevator. One of the best hostel with reasonable price.

Staying here for 1 night with friends of six pax, budget hostel, cozy place, clean shower and toilet, has laundry machine, freezer, microwave, hot water pot, cole water dispenser, free coffee and tea, but No towel, rent $2 a towel. Easy access with bus stop just at the entrance. A coffee shop with many halal menu.

I stayed in the Boat Quay franchise in Jan 2023, decided to try this branch because there was a special deal. The amenities are as expected for the extremely low price, but some things were particularly terrible: #1 we stayed in the women-only bunk bed dorm. The metal ladders to the top bunk were rusting and slippery. #2 the FEMALE-ONLY shared toilet/showers on our floor had men wandering in to use it at night. One of the shower cubicles was swarming with insects. The bins were overflowing with trash. I don't think the toilet/showers were cleaned at all in the 5 days we stayed. #3 the bedsheets and pillowcase had stains. #4 reception was never staffed Overall it was unpleasant and unhygienic, even for someone who has stayed in cheaper dorms. Good points: electronic locker is secure, 5mins walk from MRT

Interesting roller blind concept to bed privacy. Works! High bed ceilings, cavernous underbed lockers that hold full-size luggage plus big hiking pack. Friendly staff. Main grouse is that upper bunks need a lower first step ... Fell with a thud twice but just missed hitting my head. Bidet spray located on wrong side lol. Towel rental $2. Went went swimming at pool behind premises. Nice stay.

We family of 5, 2 parents and 3 kids stay here for 3 days. Everything was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the computer games and the basketball machine in the lobby. The location is also good, a bus stop in front of the hotel and walking distance to the nearest metro station.

Disappointment is an understatement. I'm upset. Staying on late Feb 2023. Female dorm. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS HOSTEL IS THE LOCATION While I appreciate the accommodation for giving me a lower bed, I have to say that my recent stay has not met my expectations. The housekeeping lady staying in the same room as me has been very disrespectful of our privacy. Despite the signs asking for quiet, the staff didn't follow the rules, and the housekeeping lady would often be on the phone at 2 am with a normal voice, which made it difficult for me to sleep. Additionally, two ladies on the other side of the bed (not sure if they're staff or guests) they would watch videos and talk loudly on the phone at odd hours, adding to the noise and stress. I also experienced an mild allergic reaction to the room and was disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the bathroom. However, what made me leave early was the poor attitude and lack of concern from the staff regarding my request for a refund due to an emergency. Note: They don't have air conditioner for 24 hours. They switch off at 11am-3pm I would assumed after a long day traveling around SG I would get a good quite rest but not with this hostel. I've always stay in hostel every time as I love making friends in hostels. I've travel around and so far this is the worst one. I very patient person but this one really cross the line and made me write this review. My last bad hostel back in Bangkok, Thailand I book to stay for 5 nights but due to a very bad allergic reaction I only stay for 1 night and they refund me the rest of the nights to me without further questions. Even tho they mentioned no refund but they did anyway. I didn't leave a review because that is the least they can do. If this hostel do the same I wouldn't leave such bad review. Despite my disappointment with this particular hostel, I have had positive experiences in the past with accommodations in Singapore and will continue to seek out new places to stay.

Good shared rooms with double beds. The most convenient is a small light and two electronic plugs provided for each bed. The breakfast provided are simply good (cereal, toast, coffee & tea). The common area is good for working on laptop as there are enough plugs. Officers are helpful. Overall is good.

  • 3/5 Daria S. 4 years ago on Google
This is a pretty good hostel, not a capsule hotel. The beds each have walls and a light and a plug, but there is no door - just a screen that you pull down when you’re in bed. Sound isolation was therefore not great; I should have taken earplugs. I also like a door between me and the world, which is why I like capsules and not hostel beds. The bathrooms were clean enough; the place is okay overall. And, true to the name, there’s a treadmill and a bench with a few weights in a room without AC (but with windows, so there’s a breeze) - a good way to work up a sweat.

  • 4/5 Jocelyn C. 4 years ago on Google
The staff was very friendly. I arrived much early, I was able to relax over there until check in time at 3. In Singapore, hostels are pretty strict about check-in times. The room was quite small though, and felt a bit crowded cos it was full. i stayed in the mixed dorm, the female toilet was one floor up, so was a bit inconvenient. The common area had no window.. the breakfast was good, with milk and cereal.

This hostel is a no no, never trusts their fake reviews and the pictures. There is no daily cleaning, no hygiene, no great air ventilation, and the bathroom is full of small mosquitoes 🦟. I choose this hostel as the reviews seems okay, and I paid much more compare to the other hostels in Singapore, however I got disappointed from the moment I stepped into the hostel. There is no swimming pool as it advertised, no gaming console( you can play only limited hour), no free flip flops as their are many guests, the gym is not usable as it covered with dirt and dust, ... Just do yourself a favour and stay away from here. You’ll thanks me later

Good location to get to from the airport and close to transport and interesting areas. Service friendly, common area was fine, air con worked in there which is good after a humid day out. Nothing about it makes it a sports hostel. Bathrooms and showers very unclean and mouldy. Room was tiny, no space, beds creaky, mould everywhere, didn't feel like it had been cleaned, fan and Aircon didn't work very well so pretty hot in the night. Expensive for what you get.

I wish I could rate this lower than a star. It is cheap and dirty. The smell is really bad in the room. So many trashes pretty much every where in the hostel. The bathroom is horrible. I didn’t see/use hostel Wifi. The receptionist was nice and professional. I think the ministry of health should check/manage in the dirtiness and unhealthy measures.

I was told I would have my $20 deposit refunded upon check out. But I forgot during the check out and apparently they couldn't be bothered about it. There's cockroach in the room too. A few of the staff were very friendly, but not the cleaning lady. A lady from another room enquired about something regarding the room she was staying at, and got reprimanded by the cleaning lady for asking her, and does she look like she knows everything? Why everyone like to ask her everything? She is so busy everyday and does she have the time to handle everybody too? The room is definitely not as big as shown in the photos.

I was in hurry in mrt station. So I booked a room. When I arrived at the hostel, the receptionist told me that it was female room so he asked me to contact agoda to cancel the booking. After I contacted agoda, they said they have processed the refund. But my bank told me that there's no any refund. Next they said I must tell the name of the receptionist who didn't wear uniform and name tag. And now they said they can't give refund. Lies. I will never book this place and never use agoda anymore

The staffs are very polite and friendly. Good value for the money. The problem is that the hostel is located in the first floor and there aren't any lifts. You have to carry your luggages. Toilets and shower areas are not very clean. There aren't any ventilation. You start sweating, as soon as you switch off the Air conditioner OR fan.

A really great clean hostel. The dorms are quite small though but clean and lockers are provided. Good air conditioning. The staff are never there so not much help, only there 3-7pm which doesn’t help. Good location to restaurants. The pool is nice too you pay $1.

This hotel has ZERO security measures. An accident happened here last Feb 14 (1:00 am) when a certain random guy entered the hostel and decided to invade the rooms. This guy intentionally to*ched a sleeping girl lodging in the room I was staying in. After she screamed, her friend (staying in the same room) chased the guy as it went upstairs an hide. The first thing we have to do is ofcourse call the receptionist, which is, NOT AROUND. We have called the police and they found this guy drunk. When the police demand an access to the CCTV, the receptionist does not have any clue on its password and neither do the owner. The police finally traced that this guy was a previous tenant, and that he had a password. The password from the main entrance door was remained UNCHANGED for the longest time. Apparently, this guy has been doing his creepy motives since then and was only caught during that day. When I happen to ask the same receptionist the next day about the update on the issue, he casually replied "well i think the police are good so they probably caught it" Oh you "think." Imagine this complacency after that very serious incident. The next day, I was very mad that they leave the room's door open, while they are doing general cleaning. THIS IS JUST NOT RIGHT! Also, this hostel just leaves the keys on the front desk inside an envelope where early check ins are done. A random guy can just use that key and infiltrate the room. My experience here is so bad!
