Do not EVER stay here if you are a solo female. 15 pairs of dirty underwear stolen, dirty tank tops stolen, and sneaker inserts stolen. Migrant workers crowd up the place and face 0 consequences for nasty actions. The receptionist works hard but is never there so there is basically 0 security. Bathroom very dirty because only 3 shared for the entire hostel. Nasty.

We were looking for a cheap place to stay in Singapore and we give it that, it was cheap. Facilities were awful, staff was incompetent. Air conditioned wasn’t working Switched on and off and made a horrible clicking sound. So many unnecessary noises. Cats and kitty litter everywhere. After staying there and paying they cancelled our booking on booking.com and haven’t replied since, hence I am rating them here

Enjoyed my stay here as a first-timer in Singapore. The rooms and bathrooms are clean but, I think they should put fans or add more vents in the bathrooms to keep the floor dry. The staff are friendly, there's also a cat downstairs near the vending machine. You can interact with her, she's chubby and friendly.

CapsulePod@Aljunied was an absolute disappointment, and I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. Marketed as a hotel, it's nothing more than a cramped hostel. Each room is packed with 8 capsule pods, forcing guests to share space with 7-16 strangers in 1 single room. There is a lack of soundproofing means you're constantly disturbed by noises like snoring and ringing phones. The ventilation within the pods is abysmal; despite having a fan, the stifling heat and humidity are unbearable, forcing me to sleep with the shutter open. To make matters worse, there are only 3 shared washrooms, leading to inevitable waits. Washroom is very dirty And if you're concerned about the security of your belongings, be warned: luggage is left out in the open in these shared rooms, with no surveillance cameras in sight. This establishment is a glaring example of compromised comfort and security. If you value your peace and privacy, steer clear of this place.

I stayed in 1 night solo and I was impressed. Rachel at the reception is friendly and professional, she really knows how to do her job, she was kind to answer all my queries and giving me also recommendations. I reached the CapsulePod in 30 minutes from the airport with the metro, spending only 10 cents with Google Pay. Good prices, the pod is spacious and fresh (you can control your own AC), I saw some couples sleeping together in 1. Free breakfast and washing machine/dryer in certain hours. They provide toasts, cereals, milk coffee tea. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly, open shower with body/shampoo. I saw a lot of people, of all the nationalities. It's a good place to have a chat and meet new people, or just relax solo. I had no problems sleeping, you can stay up late in the communal area but the doors have good isolation. Actually I even overslept. The bed sheet was not the cleanest, but you can ask to change it or wash it yourself. If I am in Singapore again, I would definitely go back here.

CoOoL!!! Strategic location (near MRT & eating places). Affordable price. Extra superb facilities : * capsule pod (privacy & personalized charging outlets) * free breakfast (aside from bread, chocolate & peanut butter, they also serve eggs) * 24-hrs free drinks (aside water, tea, coffee, they also serve milk & orange juice), bathroom necessities (liquid soap, shampoo, hair dryer, smoothing dryer, comb) * free laundry * iron & iron board * strong wifi * inside sandals. Nice staffs. Downsides : * stairs only (not available for disabled persons or certain people with knee/walking difficulities). Quite hard to walk if you have heavy luggage * share the noise in the room as the slide-doors of each pod are only paper-thin * NO instructions regarding Lights ON and OFF time (at night all lights are on - such a waste of electricity & eventually the bills - no intention of being petty at all, though) Stayed in September 2019 in the Double Capsule Pod in Mixed Dormitory

Was here for 1 night. I stayed at different hostel in Singapore before and Capsulepod@Aljunied is very comfortable so far. Near the Aljunied MRT station for around 3min walk. Nearby 7E. The room was very clean and neat although it is shared (well it depends with whom you shared it). Aircond worked well. No musty smell. The ambience light can be adjusted. Both male and female receptionist were friendly and helpful. They had breakfast from 6am-11:30am. Iron and hairdryer provided at the lounge / toilet area. There was free laundry too.

It’s very dirty, smells bad and the people living there do not seem to know that it’s a shared place. The pod itself was good, but got very warm. It’s the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Close to the mrt though.

I can’t imagine a better value in expensive Singapore! Comfy pod with plenty of outlets, ambient lights, and even a laptop table. AC was good. And the friendliest woman at the front desk!

Well-connected. Comfy bed, but lacks accessibility and effective ventilation inside the capsule. Liked: The location is just a short walk from the MRT, and the neighborhood feels safe even at night. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and the bed provided a comfortable night's sleep Disliked: To access the location, you'll need to climb stairs, making it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. The showers are cramped and uninviting, sharing space with the toilets, which results in a perpetually wet floor. Cleanliness is hit or miss. Additionally, the fan inside the capsule is ineffective; I had to sleep with the blind fully open to let the room's AC circulate into the pod

Comfortable peaceful nights sleep in a well equipped capsule. Felt really at home here, the place felt modern and clean and they have made an effort to make it pretty. I was recommended by Rachel a great cheap place to eat where I got a delicious meal for dinner. Rachel was super friendly and great to chat to and really helpful.

The best capsule hotel with the most complete facilities, and last but not least, they have a very friendly and kind female receptionist, I don't know her name because I'm embarrassed to ask. Then, overall this hostel gave me a pleasant stay, and gave a good perspective on the capsule hotel

It's a nice and pleasant place, I slept here once, and then I spent the next two days in other places, The fourth night I came back here. The prices are good and they also give me a towel. The showers are clean. And the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.

Overall this was a great place to stay! Especially considering the high cost of Singapore this is a good location and good price for what you’re getting. The pods themselves are clean and safe. The building has good security and a locker to hold all your stuff. Free breakfast (read: toast with butter, peanut butter or Nutella) is offered every day and there’s a microwave and hot water available for use. And also free laundry with provided soap which was amazing! 5 minute walk to aljunied station which is great for getting around all over the city and safe to get back to at night. I did see a couple big cockroaches during my stay here in the common area and there were a good amount of bugs crawling around since the windows are left open all day. There’s also very little privacy since there are so many people for such a small common area it’s hard to find a place to sit sometimes and the bathrooms get very wet and gross throughout the day. The staff was awesome and overall would stay there again!

(Translated by Google) The design of the capsule warehouse is modern. Although the sparrow is small and complete, the space inside is comfortable and warm. There are also various facilities and spaces for use in the hotel, such as indoor/outdoor shared space, kitchen refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, tea, bathroom (Multiple rooms/clean), washing machine, dryer, special lockers, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, convenient location, there are food court, bakery, convenience store downstairs, bus stop and subway station are also within walking distance 2, 3 minutes away, the most plus point is that there is a cute cat shopkeeper at the entrance of the hotel welcoming you😍 (Original)

Wouldn’t recommend female solo travelers stay at this place. Stayed at the room in the ground floor 1 night last October. Most of the people in my room didn’t look like travelers or backpackers at all, more like locals or people who lived in Singapore and stayed at this hostel for long term. There were at least 10 people in my room. The smell was a bit strong, very hard to fall asleep due to the noises (snoring, coughing, etc.) The staff were nice, the location was alright, but the experience was not delightful at all. I’ve had a lot of experiences staying at different hostels in Europe and Japan. This was my first time didn’t feel safe and even considered to find another hostel after checking in. I wondered why there were so many positive reviews…

I felt like I moved to the future when I step into my pod. The pod is surprisingly quite spacious and I slept peacefully. One thing good is that they have a key-in pin system so that you can self enter anytime. And key wave system that allow you to access the locker. I love the supply of coffee, milk and orange juice. They had cereal, and bread available with spread of butter, chocolate and peanut butter. Breakfast is from 7am-11am. With 2 eggs station. And they allow to change towel daily. The person that owns CapsulePod has experience giving a good stay for backpackers / budget Travelers as he owns 5 CapsulePod outlet.

A great place to sleep for people on a budget. The capsules are great! It is definetly worth the experience. The Capsules have climate control and individual lighting. The Pods are able to be closed and locked from the inside, since "the capsule pod" is a hostel. You are able to rent a whole room though (this works if you are traveling with 4 people). The rooms don't have indivdual toilets and showers, so you will always have to use the public ones. These are made very well. They are mutliple lockable rooms with a toilet and shower. The location of the hostel is great. There a many local restaurants nearby and it is close to the subway into the city. Overall a great experience and absolutely recommended for people on a tight budget.

Capsule beds are comfortable, well-lit and well-equipped with power outlets, ambient light controls, small shelves, mirror and bed tray. Ideal for those who looking for the affordability of a hostel but with more peace, privacy, and security. Excellent location near Aljunied MRT Starion (East-West Line) and several dining establishments. Plus, a friendly, efficient and knowledge receiptionist! What more can you ask for?

For the budget minded traveller, you can't go past this place. Located at the steps of the MRT and a spread of cheap local eating places makes for convienent base while in Singapore. Beds are comfy with USB and universal powerpoint. Coffee tea and chilled water 24/7. Light breakfast provided. Cloths walking and dryers available for use. Attentive staff.

I've explored multiple pods hostels in Singapore. This was the best overall. It is located in the most convenient place. Both bus and MRT stations are literally few foot steps away. There are a lot of food options nearby. The service provided the hostel is top notch... free laundry, Wi-Fi, good air ventilation and air conditioning, well maintained washrooms, neat and clean common area with good accessibility. Most importantly, there's always some free food and drinks (tea/coffee) available for self service if you are hungry. There is also a backyard to just sit on a chair and relax at night far away from the city crowd. I'd definitely recommend this place for solo travellers. I'll visit this place whenever I'm visiting Singapore.

For the price tag, I would say its pretty good. There's are about 14 or 16 pods in the room, but it is still spacious in terms of walkway. Overall staying experience is quite good, you get your own space in your pod, with aircond and some lighting, the space is definitely enough to fit a person. I would say it depends on who you were staying with, people who at least try to minimise their noise level and respect other's environment and experience here are the ones you would be grateful to stay with. The public area outside of the room (in this case I'm staying in 104 which is at the ground floor level), there are lockers (I didn't use it, so I have no comment), there are a few tables for you, then along the way it's the dry kitchen, then 4 bathrooms (first 2 with toilet, 3rd one is only toilet, then last one is only bathroom), follow by 2 or 3 basins and washing machines. You don't have to rush to check-in since they allow you to come in anytime, if you are planning to check in later than 1030pm (they have a printed guide pasted on the left side of the door, follow it and you can access into the property and get your key card, then proceed to look for your pod), and there is express check-out as well. Check-in anytime, check-out 12pm. It is near the Aljunied LRT (Green Line), so you can plan your trip nicely. Hope my review helps, cheers!

Great location just round the corner from the train station. Each pod has a light, mirror, shelf, charging options, aircon fan which you can adjust as needed and a blind for ultimate privacy (for a dorm room). They offer free toast for breakfast 6-11 too. The toilets and showers were kept clean and had shower gel provided but were rather hot and stuffy! Would definitely stay again if back in Singapore

  • 3/5 Chris B. 2 months ago on Google • 9 reviews New
I didn't get the best vibe from this place. First of all, when they say each bed had its own air con, this is a small fan in the corners of the pod which are very weak and it turned out to be ineffective. To be cool enough, you need to open the blind of your pod which doesn't give you a great deal of privacy. Even then, sometimes the temperature is still very hot after the blind is open. I decided on my final night to leave for the airport at 6am for my 1pm flight because the airport would be colder. The staff seemed a little unapproachable, they showed you all the things you need to know about the place when you arrive but they didn't speak to me again after that. It is my first time in a hostel so possibly I'm expecting the wrong things, maybe someone can enlighten me 😅😅. If you're just looking for a cheap night somewhere though,

Highly advise you not to stay here. In a very rough part of Singapore - rooms are overcrowded, dirty and loud. The rooms are not filled with back packers but locals / older people. Avoid at all costs

Nice place for budget backpackers, you'd find Bpackers all around the world. Free breakfast Bread ,chese, Milk and Cornflakes. Free Laundry available from 9PM to 7AM, where you can find outdoor seating , I Just sat down @10PM and had lots of conversations with 5-6 Backpacker's of different nationalities. Had a great time and made new friends.

Directly at MRT Aljunied, which is convenient. The pods are ok, but these are not the modern "space pods". Very friendly service. The pods have ventilation, but could be stronger. If you get this place for a good price, take it.

The perfect place to explore Singapore. I stayed there 3 nights in total, after and before a flight. The receptionist was really friendly and kind and helpful. She even kept a few things for me on the side for my travels in between my stays here. The capsule system is quite nice, because you get more privacy than in a classic dorm, but it's still very affordable. The bathrrooms were clean and confortable. It's conveniently located, right my a metro station that goes straight to the airport. You can easily reach any spot by metro. Only thing to really have in mind is that although the capsule gives you privacy, it's still in a dorm. On 1 of my 3 nights there, there was a really loud snorer iny dorm and i barely slept despite my earplugs. Also, i think it might be good to have female dorms, because although you get your own capsule, you still share the room, and i usually feel more confortable in female dorms. But i really recommend this place for your stay in Singapore!

A great base whilst spending a long weekend in Singapore! Can’t ask for much more considering how cheap this place is! Conveniently located a 2 min walk to the metro station, so easy access to the main tourist areas. There’s actually lots of great local food options within a few mins walk of the hostel! Rooms were clean, common area to work, free laundry on an evening, and also basic breakfast included which I thought was a great bonus! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a basic cheap option for your stay in Singapore!

I like this place. The Aircon isn't too strong and there's a place to smoke at the laundry area. Breakfast provided. Also you get to meet other people from other countries. Price wise it's very cheap as compared to the hotel in the same area. Would come back again.

It was the best hostel I could find in Singapore with reasonable price. It was my first capsule experience. I loved the facilities in the capsules which is AC, different lights, hangers, power plug. We had free laundry after 9 pm but always there was a long queue of people. Kitchen and basic breakfast was a real good point. The only thing I didn't like was mixed bathrooms which was not that convenient, especially always toilets with showers in the same place!

  • 3/5 Shelly S. 11 months ago on Google
Acceptable place to stay in a tight budget. Washroom is shared and clean, but not busy in the morning. Also, a simple breakfast is ready anytime you would like to have. A lot of good restaurants just outside of the door and souvenir shops. The most important thing, the place is very accessible by train from and to airport. Prepare SGD cash to buy train tickets.

Loved this place. The host is a really friendly and helpful woman, the hostel is clean and pays attention to detail (an example for this: the old curtain which used to separate bathroom from main hall has been replaced with a new and proper door during our stay). Our bed was spacious, there’s automatic lockers to use and we loved that there was a small free breakfast! Super easy to get into the city via MRT which is a short walk away. We felt good and would surely recommend.

Not a bad little pod to stay at and save some money. The free laundry was very nice but the breakfast buffet was just eggs and toast along with orange juice. My pod was missing a knob so I couldn't change the ambient light inside but the fan and reading lights still worked. Nice location being so close to train station as well.

    - Lady at the counter was nice and cheerful. - Despite breakfast being decent, it was free, which is a massive upvote. - Pod itself was comfortable, has everything you need inside (fast charging phone outlet, multi color lights, air cooler) - Shower was decent, hot water is a plus. - Has a self checkout, another upvote.

The location is good. However this is a budget hostel and this is reflected in the rooms and bathrooms. The air conditioning within the POD is completely ineffective, therefore my friend and I had to leave our blind open in order to benefit from airflow from the air conditioning in the main section of the room, which was okay at best. The POD with the blind shut was completely insufferable. Guests came in at 2 and 5 AM and turned the room light on which disturbed our sleep, even more so then they would have done had our blind been down. The rooms and the PODs themselves felt dirty, and smelt bad. The bathrooms were unclean with dirt in corners, on handles etc. This is a budget hostel and is cheap and near transport links, however I would not recommend this to any visitors to Singapore and would never stay here again.

Booked a room for late check in on agoda and deadass when we went to the hotel, the self entry for late check in instructions don’t work. Thank god someone staying at the hotel came and let us in. However there are no self check in instructions and the emergency line doesn’t even work. We have already fully paid for the bed on agoda and right now its 2am, we are sitting in the check in area in the heat and there is no place for us to stay. Also there is no refund available on agoda and we basically paid for nothing. Hope that management can see this and do something about it.

Affordable and reasonable price. However, IN OUR EXPERIENCE the staffs are very rude and fake. You could hear them murmuring in their own language. Especially with our experience during our Laundry (don't have energy to share bcuz these ppl are not worth it) Also, we had our 3 Fresh Milks purchased by a store nearby, wrapped by a cellophane, and note written with our names and room number on it. However, on our 4th day we we're shocked that our 3 Milks are no longer in the fridge! We've got no time to complain bcuz again these staffs are not worth it! Not professionals!

A seriously great place to stay. The pods are spacious with little shelves to put some belongings, your own outlet to charge and personal light so that people don't bother each other and you have tons of privacy. They have many extra touches to make you feel at home. I was really pleased that we got a double bed and there are just 2 beds (4 people) in one room with a key card to scan in. I would recommend removing the small table and chairs from the rooms so that there is more space for luggage. Maybe add some shelves instead. The only thing I didn't like was that the nice patio common space was generally for smokers. As a non-smoker, I didn't use the space. There is lots of space to wash and hang laundry. The breakfast was decent as they have little pans to cook eggs, along with toast, spreads and drinks. The spreads were overly sweet but ok. Actually a guest checked us in (I didn't know this until after) and he was so hospitable, giving us an awesome tour. I hope they let him stay for free because he was so nice and that really made the difference. The price was also very fair so book in advance! The location was great. Very well connected to both metro and buses. There are a TON of affordable ($5) food options in all of Geylang so it's a great place to stay.

Left a day early and booked into a nearby hotel due to excessive noise and heat. Aircon in our unit didn't keep us cool so we had to leave our blind open, and at the end of the day it's a dormitory so it's potluck if you get decent roommates. We didn't. An extra star for decent amenities and free breakfast/laundry, but I won't be staying in a pod hotel again anytime soon.

Excellent place to rest, in this modern capsule. My dorm had only 4 capsules so it was great, bathroom is clean, kitchen too, great to have a real coffee machine. Breakfast included is simple and good enough but orange juice is just like kind of sirup mixed with water and would like to have jam. Near the mrt station so very convenient from airport and to downrown. Very happy with my stay, will be back.

(Translated by Google) Perfect place. Very clean, friendly staff. Everything is new, from ikea. Comfortable capsules with backlight. There are towels, shower, a place for sports kitchen. Fast wifi. Very clean, almost sterile. Great location, near Aljunied subway. A lot of inexpensive Chinese cafes and 7/11. Day cost me $ 31 local. But we must take into account that the tax is not indicated on the agoda, approximately $ 5, so the price will be higher when checking in. I indicated with tax, final. In general, masthead.

The room is public but very quiet. My room is double bed so is very confortable for a small person like me. Washing zone is private and full-equipped. The young receptionist is so nice and helful.

It was the first time we tried a capsule and we really loved it. The capsules are pretty good at blocking noises from outside and the ventilation inside is more than sufficient. We didn't feel claustrophobic at all. The service here is pretty good too- they promptly replied to our messages. The place is also a stone's throw away from the AlJunied MRT stop, so it's easy to get to (or 25 SGD from the airport by Grab).

Amazing experience staying here with humble receptionist, she helped me to print my ticket and my pcr test result. The pod is comfortable, like a private room and free laundry, coffee, tea, we can also take our drink in the fridge. Near from MRT Al junied. Recommend for solo traveler.

Impressed with how nice and clean it is. The people were amazing, especially the receptionist - always willing to help and very welcoming. Great location, surrounded by a lot of food options and very close to the metro station. Definitely will recommend to anybody coming to SG.

Unfortunately I forgot to take many pictures, but what a delightful place! The main receptionist/worker on site is a lovely woman, other guests also noticed how happy and cheerful she is. Made the experience a lot nicer already! Very clean, good breakfast that you can make yourself. Eggs, toast, free tea and coffee all day... Great! Toilets and showers are clean. Hot water and high pressure showers. There's free laundry and drying from 7pm-9am and also free strong WiFi throughout. Great little balcony terrace for you to enjoy a nice tea or such. Area around is good. Next to an MRT so easy travel. Also next to Old Airport Road Hawker Centre. Would definitely recommend as it has local, good quality and cheap food readily available until 11pm most days. Rooms are spacious and the pods are super cosy!! Lots of features and such, also free locker for your things. Very secure and very respectful people. I've added a photo of the controls available in the pod we were in - reading light/mirror light with multiple colour features. Fan and fan strength. USB ports. Wonderful!

The most incredible capsule pod experience, up to Japan's standards... The room was pleasantly cold. I slept very well. The only minor downside is that you must carry heavy luggage up the stairs... Other than that the experience with check in, comfortability, capsule was an undeniable 10/10
