Dun get me wrong for rating too low. It's a nice place, nearby public transport, good foods nearby and walking distance to many place. Downstairs you will get a nice Chinese cuisine restaurant. The laoban (boss) also very friendly and helpful. The WiFi was quick enough. You can enjoy your movie in the common area. There's book for you to exchange also, so u can read books and enjoy your time. Microwave and hot water supply for instant noodle or anything else you wanna cook. For the hotel room itself. You pay what you get, so for the price, it's really cheap with a free breakfast. I booked for 4 beds 1 room, the space still enough for 4 of us and we are one family, so privacy would be no issue. Shared bathroom, female and male bathroom also available. If you just wanna sleep and shower in budget, you can consider. No for light sleeper, you might get panda eyes. But if you wanna have a good rest in the end of the day, please add-on your budget find another place. Here's why. 1- Free breakfast - One bread and one coffee/tea, no extra bread and self service. And sometimes u even need to ask the host for breakfast - u might need to travel to another place for breakfast 2- Shared bathroom - The small was... Like even public bathroom was nicer than this. The wall was dirty, I believe someone pee on the wall... Your clothes was no where to put, no place to hook. The floor was sticky and slippery, please take your flipflops. The space was so tiny, after u sitting down on the toilet bowl, u cant make a move lol 3- Male/female bathroom - There's a ONLY male and female bathroom, the space was bigger but yet the floor still sticky and slippery. Many peoples will wait for this, so u need to queue. 4- Room - If u sharing rooms with others... There are not much space to put luggages... And if u sleep upbunk.. it feel like it would tear apart... So u will be disturbing downbunk when flip over. We stay 1st floor, when I was sleeping, I can hear easily someone walking around on the 2nd floor, super not soundproof. The cabinet provided was dirty. Bed and floor also was not clean. 5- Water supply - Yes, water supply, no drinking water provided. You need to pay for the drinking water. You're welcome.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL!!! We are not really picky, but this hostel was definitely the wost experience we ever had. It ruined our time in Singapore. First of all they put us as a couple in two different shared room even though we booked one room where we wanted to be together. When we complained, they just told us they were full, but it was a lie as some beds were empty. They also refused to give us money back so we had to stay. It happened to another couple so it seems they do it intentionally. The stuff was rude and absolutely unhelpful and unwilling to do anything. The place is so small, there is no space in the rooms, no place for your suitcase. Beds has no curtains so we did not really sleep for 3 nights as the rooms are always busy. The showers looks dirty and smell. Free brakfast is not really brakfast. Only thing you get is an extremly sweet small piece of bun and cappuccino. Not even a tea! There is also a guy watching everyone and guarding buns so you can't take more if you are hungry. So after this "breakfast" you have to go out and buy another one anyway. If you have to leave before breakfast they will not give you anything even though they could if you one of those buns. Too expensive for what you get. NEVER AGAIN!

I recommend you not to stay there. Bed bugs, plenty of dust everywhere and very poor bathrooms and showers. Staff were always telling you to take off shoes while the place was so dirty. Nights were nightmare, people just walking and talking around and making it impossible to sleep. Also, be very careful, they leave at 9pm and if you did not checkout you will loose your deposit. They are thieves. Don't even trust the "kind" girl at the reception.

For the budget price it is what it is, small room and shower, cheap breakfast (one packaged bread and packaged coffee), foul smell in room and toilet. Very strategic location in Chinatown and walking distance to a lot of attractions such as temple and merlion. Much more suitable for a family of 4 to rent an entire room in a budget. Other than that, recommend to find more higher price hotel.

Good price, but yeah you get what you pay. It's not so bad tho. The location is near from Chinatown MRT, walkable. Near mini market, a famous old coffee shop, and a famous chicken rice too. The room itself, even it's small, but still get a place for our luggage. Lucky me got a bathroom inside my room. There's locker too, and air conditioner works fine. The common room is pretty small, and the kitchen too. Check in and check out is pretty fast.

Staying here with my family here for 2 days. Really bad experience. We were check out late 12 mins and they charged 40dollars. Not a problem but the staff attitude is so rude. We were checking out and she standing right in front of the door and kept rushing and yelling “I WILL CHARGE ALL OF YOU”. She even tried to open the door when we weren’t there. Before arriving i tried to contact the hotel and never get responses. Plus the room doesn’t look like in the photos, so small and like students dorm in 90s. Pleas take notes so u wont be in troubles or better stay away from this hotel.

Excellent choice for affordable hostel accommodation. It is humble, but clean and provides the basics with friendly service. Great central location.

The room and bathroom are clean. The amenities quite complete and they provide hair dryer too! A little bit dissapointed because they only have 2 bathroom in a floor so need to queue. If you book a room for yourself, you can ask for the room key with a refundable deposit $10 only. The male receptionist was kind and friendly even though we just spent 1 night only, he helped us with our luggage 😅 Unfortunately, we haven't try their breakfast as we need to check out early. We are regret to not spent more time here. This hostel definitely going in to my bucket list when I come to Singapore in the future.

I stayed for 3 nights, in 1x12 bunk beds... place is quite nice.. location is best... they have bagpack bag sized locker for you, but you need to have your own lock, or you can just place unvalueable things in locker.. you can rent a towel if you don't have your own.. and also you can rent a lock too.. they have luggage storage room... all in all, very good place... i will be staying again here on my first trip.

If you are a budget traveler, I recommend this place. The staff are really nice and friendly. I came here with my friend. When we first arrived here, we get a warmed welcome from the owner (i guess). The ambiance is also nice. You could feel the friendliness from the staff and even the guest who stay there. We stayed in a bunk bed room for with 2 other female guests. We could also store our luggage before or after check out. Wifi and breakfast is available for the guest. Although we only stay there for a night, we really feel the nice hospitality from the staff. Will definitely stay here again during our next visit!

Easy to find this hostel but so terrible if you have heavy luggages to bring to 3rd floor :sob: Very noisy from street, next rooms and the room upstair (when someone walk in the night time) Very dirty bathroom and toilet at 2nd floor. I stayed at other hostel in Chinatown very clean and tidy! I booked this hostel from Agoda, one day before we come, RedDoorz (agent from Agoda) sent us Welcome to iStay.inn and we were there at 9.30. Nobody there and we didn’t find our check in information and they didn’t leave there hotline for us to call them and Agoda didn’t answer us too. We didn’t have our own room and the day after the reception said We must move to other Hostel outside of Chinatown lol We paid full fair for stay in Chinatown 2 months ago and ... we stayed outside until 10 p.m and got there storeroom for stay 2 nights in my 3 nights paid booking with many things there! And I need an answer from Agoda until now! Never stay here again!

Awful place. Would not recommend to anyone. They rip you off where they can. Price on booking/agoda is not the same as the one they ask for in the end.

Usual hostel with basic facilities. Price were little high for the things you get. Curtains could help for little privacy.
