If you're used to European hostels - this place is ok, but if you stayed in Asian amazingly clean, well equipment and silent hostels - this place is a total nightmare, mess, and antisanitary condition. Reception is total chaos, especially during breakfast time when you need to squeeze between people and furniture. And breakfast itself is just toast with different jams, 1-2 days max you can have it. Bathroom is tiny, full of mold and broken tiles. No special place or hangers for clothes and cosmetics. Showers are combines with toilets, be ready for permanently wet toilet seat and walls. Sleeping place is ok, but instead of normal fresh bedsheets covered blanket, you get synthetic thin plaid. Curtain holder constantly falls down in most of beds (on pic). Power socket is so loose I had to use tripod for charger to hold (on pic). And, it's super noicy all night long: people talk out loud at midnight, repack at 3am. There are no silent hours rule and no one actually cares. Smelly shoes of someone left in the room that it's impossible to breat - reception lady will come, spray toilet freshener, 5 mins and smell is back. Windows can be opened (and some idiots really do it), AC stops in this case, and be ready to sleep wet from your sweat. There's never enough space for shoes. I stayed there in April, and travelled 6 more countries in the region, and none of even cheapest places were anything close to this horror. One good thing to say: reception is very helpful and doing their best!

Location was very good, the staff is also super friendly and helpful. But the hostel by itself was just im very bad conditions. Dorms are suuuper tiny, 2 toilet/shower rooms for 16 people (on one floor), Material coming off the Walls and ants in the showers. Breakfast is toast with jam.

This cozy but classy hostel is a favorite of mine. It is located in Chinatown, about a 15 minute walk from the Marina Bay area. I had always wanted to stay in a capsule hotel, and this one did not disappoint. Guests sleep in dorm-like rooms where your bed is closed off from the other guests, giving you some privacy. It was so cozy! Inside your little nook is a nice TV, Beats headphones free for you to use during your stay, and reading lights. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, every morning they would make me breakfast and free coffee. The entire place was amazingly clean and modern looking. Also - they had some of the fastest wifi speeds I have ever seen! For example, I uploaded a 3 GB video in a lightning fast 5 minutes. When I left, they told me that they offered an absolutely free shuttle to the airport for their guests. What! It turned out that the shuttle was full that day, so they personally got me an Uber all to myself to drive me there instead. Amazing and quality service! Highly recommended, and I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Singapore.

Great hostel but slightly expensive Rooms: -------------------- ~ Dorms have several bunk beds with some in awkward placements ~ No curtains on the beds ~ Not sure about lockers (They weren't introduced to us) ~ Semi-comfy beds with blanket provided (more blankets could be requested) ~ No personal lights due to lack of privacy, made one guest turn on the main light at 2:30am (not so much the hostel's fault though) -------------------- Layout/Facilities: -------------------- ~ Great common room makes for a social atmosphere ~ Several little board games to keep groups entertained ~ Bathrooms had cold showers but quite clean -------------------- Service: -------------------- ~ Great staff, very friendly and helpful if we ever needed it ~ Some brilliant recommendations and advice for what to do in Singapore -------------------- Atmosphere: -------------------- ~ Very social, but not too social ~ Music was decided by guest most times, quite a nice addition ~ Happy atmosphere Pricey but great, may be cheaper throughout the year

I really enjoyed my stay. The hostel is really nice and the staff is just awesome! Everybody was really friendly and helpful. You stay in Chinatown and the Marina Bay Sands and some more tourist attractions are in walking distance. Of course you are close to some Hawkers Centers where you can get good and really cheap food. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you very much!

One of the best hostel's environment that I have been. The staff and the environment here are the best, for sure! The way that they have their lobby is a great incentive for people meeting each other. And the staff is always willing to help with tips. The first message that I got from them after confirmation already guided me through the city to get to the hostel from the airport: tiny and really helpfull thing. They connected people with same interests of going around the city The beds are not the best and toilets could use some maintainance. The mattress could be a bit better and also the beds could be stronger so it didn't move too much. But the good things are so strong that I would definetly recommend this place anyway

I highly recommend this place to all the travelers and backpacks. When it comes to safety it's wooow... The lockers are provided.. The hostel will maintained. The break first is provided... Lots of backpacks to speak and to share the travel experience.

I left after 1 night (only stayed as I arrived too late to go elsewhere). The person who checked me in seemed annoyed I’d arrived just before check in time ended, was not welcoming like other reviews said. The place was horribly dirty I felt gross showering and there were stains on my sheets and big food crumbs next to the mattress. They do not say AC goes off during day. Only positive was they refunded my extra nights when I left and woman who helped me with that was kind unlike check in guy.

I stayed here in early December 2022 for a few nights. In general, this hostel is very conveniently located. It is only 4-minute walk from the Downtown Line MRT station. It is the same station that has the closest ATMs. The hostel requires you to pay your balance using cash. If you want to pay by card, there is an additional 3% charge and you'd have to walk to their sister hostel to use their card machine. The sister site is on another street but they claim it's just a 5-minute walk. Also, if you want to print anything or use a microwave, you'd have to walk across the street to the Chic Hostel to do so since this one doesn't have it. There is a fridge but no microwave. The good thing is that they do your laundry, within the same day if you tell them to, for $12. The dorms on the 4th floor did not have a lock on the door so it didn't feel secure from anyone else who may decide to wonder up there. They did have a key card for the individual lockers though. There's only one outlet by your bed so I'd recommend getting an adapter with multiple USB ports or something. The 4th and 3rd floors share a 2-stall shower and toilet combo which was a tight squeeze and a bit moldy, which probably cannot be helped with such humid climates. Only bodywash was available in the showers. Each toilet come with its own handheld bidet. I just wished that the restrooms had paper towels to dry your hands. I did like that each bed had its own TV with Netflix and headphones (even though I never used it). The A/C runs all night which is great. I also liked that eac bed has their owne privacy curtains as well as their own drying rack and clothes hangers.

Stayed there for 4 nights, the first being NYE. Competitively priced relative to other lodging. The hostel was clean and the rooms were great. Our beds had a TV, light, and curtain (plus towel and blanket and headphones for TV)! The overall vibe is great and we didn’t spend a single day alone. Everyone is very open to traveling together and hanging out at night or during the day. Jonathan, our host, was AMAZING and took care of us. You will become great friends with him if you go :) 10/10 recommend.

Location is v good almost everything is walkable distance. Located in heart of China Town. Service wise there is no comparison..The girl at the reception goes all out to help you. She would make sure you have a great stay. She would generally accommodate your requests, help plan itinerary and most of suggestions was v helpful. Rooms are cramped and congested. Ther is no elevator and for people getting rooms on 2nd or 3rd floor can have challenges. Overall I liked the stay and the people there Breakfast is complementary but choice is not there. It would mostly be tea, Cornflakes and Bread with butter/Jam. If you are in budget this place is great!

I had a perfect stay at The Bohemian. The room was quite spacious for an hostel, it was overall very clean and it has the advantage of having a very comfortable common room. Claire, the manager, is realny nice and always available. I recommend!

Great place to stay for backpackers! I had a one night stay alone, arriving in the late afternoon. Check-in was very fast, i was given a rubber bracelet as a key to enter the door to the dorm. The whole place and very clean and tidy, letting people chill after a rushing journey. They got free toast for breakfast, you could bake it or not, with jam, nutella and peanut butter. I would say everything is great in here. Price is affordable. Highly recommended and will come back if got chance.

A really cool hostel in the heart of China town. 10/10 for location. There were a lot of layover guests but we stayed here for 4 nights and weren’t disturbed. The staff were really helpful and we got all our attraction tickets cheaper from the hostel. Everywhere was clean and the breakfast was small but was enough to set us up for the day. There isn’t any shower gel to use which is odd for a hostel that has layover guests but luckily I brought my own. The beds are comfortable and all have individual TVs and headphones, I didn’t use them once but were a nice touch.

This is a really great hostel. Its comfortable and clean. Most of the staff is really friendly too. The English of some could have been better, but what can you expect from a hostel in Chinatown. Its a little hard to find even with the directions they send you. But the location is great, lots of interesting things within walking distance.

Great hostel in a good location right near Chinatown metro. There is a social vibe in the reception area which is really nice. Only bad thing was that there was no bins in the toilet cubicles which I didn’t like as a girl (time of the month). Also, the downstairs toilet area smelt bad, but this was fine as barely used it.

Firstly I’d like to say the service was great and I liked the common room which had plenty of games to socialise. However, I stayed in the 10 bed dorm room. The bed I was in is positioned with the headboard against a wall, but beds to the left, right and in front of me and the door to the left of my head with no curtains. I don’t usually mind no curtains but the positioning made me feel a bit awkward. There was also no hot water in the shower as advertised.

I stayed 9 days at this hostel and it is a great place in Singapour. Classic hostel with a living room where you always meet people. The staff is lovely and I want to thanks Claire again for all her tips about the city (ask her where to go, these places are not in the tourists websites). Location is great as Chinatown is a great neighbourhood, you have many diffrent foodcourts where you can eat for really cheap

3.5 actually 👍🏻: the common area has a nice vibe to it, location is perfect, "capsule" beds give good privacy, wifi's good. 👎🏻: they REALLY want you to pay cash but won't say it, the person at the front desk is often stressed and hard to communicate with, beds are short!!! Bathrooms are ok.

I stayed for a week in the female only Room in a capsule. I felt super Safe and it was perfectly quiet. The beds are quite short, I am 1,65m and i just fit. But they have a TV and the AC was very good. Breakfast is Limited to Toast with Jam and cereal. But the lounge is super nice to Hangout in and you can also sit outside. Staff is super nice and helps with every Problem, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Although they only Had two showers in the upper floor i never Had a Problem with that and the bathrooms were Always Clean. I would stay again.

very good! the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful, they organized a group activity to marina bay to watch the light show, good location, and quite clean. my one criticism was the blanket was thin and AC was high so it was a bit cold at night, but i just wore a sweater

I stayed two weeks in this hostel and this place is excellent, the people are welcoming, kind and always smiling. What I also loved was being able to talk with other tourists who come from all over the world. What a very good exchange I recommend this place to everyone.

A good value for money. For $32 I got a decent room and a breakfast (cereal/bread). They give welcome drinks too. Bathroom is also good. The only bad thing was that I stayed in a shared room with someone who snores, but it wasn't the hostel fault I guess.

  • 5/5 Michael K. 4 years ago on Google
Reasonable price for good accommodation. I stayed in the separate capsules - and it was perfectly fine. nice lounge and breakfast for socializing and hanging out. owner is super nice and funny.

  • 4/5 Niranjan N. 6 months ago on Google
Located very close to the MRT with lots of restaurants and 7-Eleven. The capsule was neat and clean but only had a couple of washrooms for the floor. The front desk was helpful for any information but they do expect the full payment or to submit your originals. The breakfast was pretty basic and the AC switched off during daytime.

Maybe my favorite hostel ever. Super friendly, clean, real coffee in the morning, firm comfortable beds, great spot. If it had to be super picky, the lockers could have been bigger. But that's insignificant compared to the rest.

  • 3/5 Anna W. 4 years ago on Google
Pros - central location, close to downtown area. There are many shops and restaurants around. In walking distance to the MRT station and a shopping mall. Cons - room was decent size but the ceiling was so low, plus it was windowless which made it feel even smaller. On top of that, the AC wasn't cool enough, which made the room feel stuffy. Walls were thin, we can hear our chatty neighbours up till early morning hours.

Even though we were on a bedroom with 16 beds the environment was very silent. The hostel is well located and clean and it is perfect to meet new friends.

  • 3/5 George W. 3 years ago on Google
Nice staff, good location, comfortable beds, free basic breakfast, air conditioned throughout. Electric tag lockers felt unnecessary, were confusing, simple keys would have been better. Showers were poor.

  • 4/5 Josnei Olszewski J. 11 months ago on Google
The location of the hostel is actually amazing! Walking distance from the metro (Chinatown) and close to a bunch of sites you wouldn’t want to miss while in the city. Also the staff is A+++++! Some downsides to counter: - as already mentioned, the toilets could use some renovation work - it's expensive, but so is the city anyways - some parts of the structure like doors and windows show signs of heavy use. Beds closer to the bedroom door could suffer from a lack of AC power since they are constantly semi-open

No credit card, you have to go 3min to a neighborhood. Room is okay, bathroom facility is not optimal. No socializing like in other hostel. The interior is nice. Breakfast for people who don't sugar, is water. Toast with sugar, no eggs, only sweet things. Very disappointed for a breakfast. No pancakes, no juice, no fruits. Nothing,.

  • 4/5 Kimberly B. 4 years ago on Google
Nice pod beds. They have toast for breakfast with Nutella and other toppings. The toaster makes your bread come out with a cute duck face, loved that. Only negative point really is there isn't too much of a social atmosphere because it's easy to stay in your pod, but I did meet several at breakfast. It's near the metro.

I thought I should leave a review for these guys as this was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in for a while. Amazingly friendly staff, especially Jon who works on the front desk, all day checking people in, making recommendations and generally making people’s stay as smooth and comfortable. He even managed to upgrade me from a dorm bed to a pod for the night which has its own TV and headset too! The showers worked really well and were clean, no problems with cold water at all. AC worked all day and night and there was always an atmosphere in the chill out reception area downstairs. I wish I could have stayed longer but they were all booked up for Chinese New Year.

Out of the three hostels I stayed in SG this was the best. The staff was friendly and helpful, central location and many major sites are with in 30 minutes walking duration. The place is clean and has a common space for socializing. Claire especially was extremely helpful, as I had booked my stays for the wrong days when I had arrived, she not only found me another place to stay but also offered that I can crasg in the common space till the next day when they had a free space. The people staying over were also a good mix of travellers. Definitely staying here the next time I'm in SG

Nice hostel with clean rooms. Very limited shower and washroom space which could get annoying if the hostel was busier. They have free transfer to the airport twice daily and free breakfast which is great value. Staff is generally helpful but just be aware that you will have a tough time checking in after 11pm.

The hostel has a beautiful common area. In the morning they are always playing music and there’s lots of games to have a fun time. As well, the rooms are clean and huge! Really cozy🥰
