Bed bugs!!! Would avoid at all costs! Booked 4 nights here. Checked out after 3. I was covered in spots across my body (including being bitten on my eye lid which resulted in a swollen eye) and had thought it was mosquitoes. However, one the final night I stayed I discovered 4 bed bugs running around in middle of the night. I had bites all over my body (approximately 30 in total) do not be guided by the review score. Other guest in the dorm also complained of being itchy and being bitten. I found the bugs in the beds and the lounge. I spoke to the hostel in the morning and showed them pictures of the bites and bugs. I requested a refund of one nights stay however the hostel refused to give me one as the terms said no refund.

Acceptable as a one night stopover but shower/bathroom is run down. The place is clean and staff friendly but it has a bit of a run down feel to it. Door security is good. Breakfast is make your own toast, jam, tea or coffee in a cramped kitchen on the first floor.

Oh gosh, this was such a pleasant and effortless stay at a very clean and we'll organised centrally-located hostel. The staff gave me instructions for self check in as I was arriving later at night. I found the place so easily, found it clean and in good repair. The value for money at this location simply cannot be beat. Thanks, Indie Hostel! I'll stay with you again.

Location is good for quick access to the underground and the staff are very nice. Other than that, there were only negatives concerning our trip. The photos on the website are misleading and we expected a much cleaner environment than the one we turned up to. On the website, we booked a 'room'. This turned out to be a couple bunk beds separated by curtains, meaning we were sleeping mere centimetres away from people snoring audibly and on the top bunks, the curtains didn't even reach the wall, meaning i was able to see the face of someone in a separate group while they slept. In addition to this, you are unable to close or lock the curtains and we had a group next to us who kept entering our curtain section instead of their own. We had a general feeling of uncleanliness and upon arrival, i found hairs on my pillowcase, indicating they had not been washed since being used by the previous guests. There was a lot of noise with people snoring, coming in late and showering at ridiculous times. We eventually checked out 2 days early and moved to a different hostel as we felt we could stay no longer. Again, the staff are very kind and welcoming but the hostel itself is little to be desired.

First and foremost, the owner is very hospitable and friendly.. I've stayed here many a times and am accustomed to it.. The owner is one of the reasons I decided to patronise the hostel.. Its a backpackers hostel with an open concept.. Anyone who's an avid backpacker will understand this right off the top.. We know what to expect.. Its really a good place to rest and relax.. The decor is nice.. The dining area is cool.. Of course, being a open concept hostel comes with its own set of flaws..Living in a hostel with an open concept, you have to understand that there's a community of people from different walks of life.. Some people are well mannered and self aware while others aren't.. And you should be aware of this.. Some of the reviews here are basically biased and one sided.. Its not a 5-Star luxury hotel.. 😂 Some people don't get it.. Its a very affordable, low budget, quick and easy accommodation.. Transportation is very accessible. Food options are available 24/7.. Bed is decent for sleeping.. When I face issues with the hostel amenities or facilities, I simply speak to the receptionist or the owner herself and they rectify it for me.. Don't let the reviews tell you otherwise, even this one.. Why don't you try it for yourselves and decide? But of course, you must understand, it's a low budget hostel. If you have doubts, simply contact the hostel before making a reservation.. Its that easy..

Overall, very friendly and helpful staffs make the whole experience of staying in this hostel a pleasant one. This is an open concept hostel, with beds separated by curtains. Beds in ground floor are triple decker and double decker in the second floor. Toilets and bathrooms are small but sufficient, staffs are doing their job pretty well in keeping the bathroom clean. Breakfast is complementary.

I never write reviews but this hostel is so horrible I had to write one. Really really horrible. Photos posted are not accurate descriptions of hostel; thus, they are very misleading. False advertising. Scam. Restroom/bathroom is extremely horrible. If only i saw more accurate pictures, i would never ever sleep in this disgusting place.

It is not a hostel, but a home far from home, staff specially Gaurav very helpful, cooperative nature, neat and clean place, silence place, located in centre near MRT & road transports, approchable restaurents, overall a good experience to me previous i changed three hostels but after coming here it become final destination of my stay, if i have any problem owener madem kash solve it in next couple of minutes, she give priority to guests, overall overall a nice place to stay in SINGAPORE in cheap rate

This is the worst hostel I have ever been to. I stayed for 4 nights, and was up for many hours each night due to the excessive and ridiculously loud snoring. Of course this could happen in any hostel, but the fact that 40 odd people are stuffed into a room with no space for baggage or walking about really increases your chances of being next to a snorer. The beds are triple bunk, and whenever one person moves slightly the entire thing feels like it's going to fall over. Bathrooms are average. Overall I would say stay far away from this hostel unless you have the ability to sleep through an earthquake

Room and washroom were clean. Breakfast was good for traveler. The staff was so friendly and cheerful. Always smiling and greeting us, each time she see us. Late night, we saw the male staff smoking and drinking in the reception area where by there were sign of no drinking n smoking in the hostel. Better discipline in staff will be good.

Hospitality was good. Had a sound sleep and good breakfast which most places do not provide with the price i paid. Friendly boss and friends. It is very accesible. Very good location, saved alot of money touring singapore. Thank you indie hostel.

Pretty bad place to stay, ok the price is good but it's dirty, smelly and everyone is in the same big room with bunks and separated with curtains only. I was in the same bunk with Indian drunk man, 1 night he arrived drunk and bothering other Indian woman. It was a disaster. I wouldn't recommend you. Besides, the breakfast was 1 toasted with strawberry mermelade, breakfast really bad.

😠 First time in Singapore and the worst experience I’ve ever had in life. We didn’t like the beds and told the front desk we didn’t like it and we want our money back. They didn’t give our money back and we were kinda forced to stay just because our fees were not refundable. Very very congested. They...
