I have traveled to Singapore a few times already and this hostel was my favorite place to stay so far, especially considering the price. It's located in the center of Chinatown and near the mrt station, so it's easy to get around. The hostel itself is a more quiet type of accommodation which I preferred at that time. Capsules are spacious and comfortable and even include a smart TV with Netflix! They even provided headphones. Towels included as well! It would be nice to have a little bit more storage in the capsule itself as well, like a shelf or a smaller safe. Lockers are very big and they work on a number code system. The bathroom is clean. There's an interesting modern looking shower feature that includes timer and thermostat. In one of the showers it didn't work properly and it seemed a bit damaged/broken. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast is minimal but they do provide free hot and cold drinkable water. Door rooms work on a key card but it was often opened which could be a slight security problem.

Staff here are really nice and location is great. 2 min walk from Chinatown MRT station. But the bathrooms are in need of maintenance, all the shower heads are problematic or leaky, water pressure is either too high or too low, the door are rundown with mold and tear. The first level bathroom has a faulty heater that can burn people with overheated water. I was there for more than 2 weeks and it wasn’t fixed at all.

Keep your expectations in check because this is more akin to an upgrade from regular hostels than the Japanese capsules that are all the rage in YouTube reviews. What I liked - lots of great food options, convenient transit with 2 MRT lines just across the road, ample parking, 24 hours supermarket, warm service, strong hot shower (loved it after an entire day in a freezing cold office). What I dislike - lack of security: my card key could open more than my own locker (I suspect it can open all the lockers), sunken mattress, lack of table in the capsule, forgettable breakfast (breakfast is served in another hostel right opposite, get breakfast from the coffeeshop (rated 4.5 stars on Google) next to it and you'll be much more satisfied!), unintuitive layout (if you've been to hostel / capsules in JP, you'll be very irritated). Things to note - only 4 showers cum toilets (I didn't faces issues as I return at 2am and wake past 9am, I can imagine the wait during rush hours).

Capsule Hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Much nicer than a hostel bed. You have your own TV with headphones. Towel and blanket are included. Do remember you are in a shared room environment. That someone is packing their bags at 5am, or someone is talking a little on the phone at night happens. It's not the fault of the staff. If you need total silence then a pricey hotel is more your style. Generally a nice, chill environment.

Do NOT book here. I walked in a week early to ask to add a day in my booking, which was booked 3 months before and they never sent me any form of cancellation or communications and low and behold they were not honoring my booking. I was informed the online system somehow allowed bookings and it should have been closed and instead of them contacting us who booked, you find out once you arrive and then have to pay an exuberant rate to find another hotel last minute. They are hosting workers right now and said it may not be safe and the guy in the front was nice and appreciate the transparency as i would not want to be somewhere that has a greater risk of exposure, which is why I gave 2 stars, but I cannot give a higher rating due to lack of communication and then would have had nowhere to go during the pandemic if I wasn't already in Singapore.

My first time to experience a capsule hotel. It’s top-notch. It is unavoidable that there are noises from other people because it is a close area with many pods. If you're like me and don't stay too much in the accommodation and get home just to sleep, this is advisable because the price is fine and it is near the Downtown Station, Bus stations, food centers, and other attractions. My bedding and towels are clean; there is no unusual smell. The toilets are clean. Sometimes it depends on the number of people staying at the time you check in. The receptionists are nice and accommodating. 23/01-25/01/2024 @RonChan Sgd173.50

Everything was good. Helpful staff, clean rooms, washroom. The location was perfect, just a walking distance from the MRT station. With the luggage, u have to climb some stairs. My dorm was on the second floor. The breakfast was very basic a few steps walk to the neighbour hostel. But it was all manageable.

Decent capsule hotel, but there were big issues with service at check in/check out. I think a new hire was in training, but he was nowhere ready to be left to manage the counter alone. It took him almost 2 hours to process three check ins, meaning tired guests were stuck sitting in the lobby for hours after midnight.

Excellent location in the center of Chinatown and nearby good restaurants. However the hotel is not really clean, the shower should definitely get new joints and mattresses in the rooms must be changed. I stayed there for a week and the humidity made me really sick after few days. I had to share a room with noisy people that pick up facetime calls at 5am without headset. Please be considerate of others when you book an hostel.

I stayed here for two nights, this was my first time to experience a capsule hotel and it was top notch! The staff are really nice, especially the female staff. She is very kind and very friendly. The staff are available for 24/7 so you no need to worry if you want to late check-in. Location was perfect, near Chinatown MRT, Bus station, Seven Eleven, and a lot of food stall around here. The rooms were clean and good smell. Even it’s sharing room but privacy still well maintained. The lobby area is clean, you can have your food and talk with your friends here. The bathroom were very clean. The amenities is just soap and towel, you need to bring your own toiletries. Breakfast is basic but still fine, you can get cereal, milk, toast with various jam, and a cup of tea/coffe. Breakfast room is in separate buildings the staff will take you there. Overall it’s recommended, very comfortable and worth it to stay here as a budget hostel.

I only stayed one night there but here is my review. Positive: - Great location: right in Chinatown, many restaurants and popular locations around - Helpful receptionist: She was very friendly and helpful. - Quiet: i really appreciated the quiet room. We could maybe hear a little bit of music from the bar next door sometimes, but nothing too bad. Negative: - Too cold : I got super cold during the night as the AC was pointing directly to my upper bed. Even with the curtain closed and some clothes hung to add layers, the cold wind from the AC was blowing in my capsule. And the blanket was very thin and small. Kinda ruined my night... But I'm pretty sure they could have helped me with that if I stayed longer - Not a great bathroom : the bathroom is a bit old. I couldn't get any hot water (even after waiting and trying everything)

I like & really enjoyed staying at Chic capsule becos the place is peaceful. I met many nice & friendly guests all over the world here too. Most of them are very respectful. Honestly speaking, I like only one of the front desk , Claire. That made me keep coming back. I do not like the manager here. Not warm & friendly to me. From a stranger, this Chic capsule has really become my home & favourite place now. I had stayed a few capsule hostels before. But only one or two made me keep going back. I shall put Chic capsule first unless it is fully booked. I used to stay at hotels becos i am not comfortable staying with people at all. Liked to be in a low profile. But this place changed my mind completely about the capsule hostel. I start enjoyed staying at hostels now . Though it is a capsule hostel, but i consider it as premium standard. Must be the mystery & uniqueness of the Chic capsule. This is the only one place i put very high review as i am very strict about it. Put thumbs up:)

Lady checking guests in was very friendly and nice. I was unsure of her name unfortunately, overall good experience. Very good location, walking distance from a lot of the main attractions and the MRT station. I have given it 4 stars because the washroom had smelt like sewage/had an unpleasant odour and it did not feel clean. Bed/bunk was nice and comfortable, towel, pillow and blanket provided.

This hotel is an excellent choice for budget travelers or backpacker or if you are thirsty for new experience. They have very friendly and funny staffs, good hospitality, free drinks, clean toilet and bathroom. The capsule is also very nice, it has nice color, sturdy stairs, nice bed and pillow, good lighting, and an exceptional android tv with headphones. The breakfast facility is located at other building very near with the hotel, they have simple breakfast choice, coffe, tea, sandwiches, milk, cereal. Ohh they also have free chocolates, you only need to give a 5-stars and good review (I took 6 chocolates) lol jk wkwk. Thanks chic.

Note: Bring cash because they didn’t have a card reader when I came. Check in guy was friendly and helpful, and the beds were surprisingly nice and clean. Includes own capsule space with TV headphones AC and outlet. Would come again. Towels and showers provided, includes hot water and microwave and fridge. Close to Clarke Quay and Chinatown

One of my favourite hostel in singapore, so far the room and bathroom was clean. The bed and pillow is a bit too soft to my liking but overall it is a great place to stay. The front lady name stacie was friendly and very helpful.

Clean cozy hostel.. Capsule bed comes with TV, headset, personal locker, towel and bedding.. Toilet and bath are clean compared to other hostels I've stayed in Singapore.. the attendants are also very accommodating plus no hassle check-in and check out.. Location is also good as it is very near Chinatown and accessible by bus and train from the airport

I stayed here for a week and it was a very comfortable stay with great location and nice staff who are available to help 24/7. The rooms are clean and nice. The sitting area is clean and you can have your food there and chat with friends or family. Only issue I saw was with the washroom which are wet after first use and make it difficult to get ready as the only other option is the room itself.

Bedding was absolutely fine , however the safety locker was not upto standard. Recommend the low beds than the upper . I didn't appreciate the fact that they switched off the Air condition at 11 am and put back on later as I was getting ready for an important meeting.. Owner is very friendly and welcoming, however the service staff was a rude in their dealings. Toilets needs to be kept clean or the service staff should attend to it more frequently as it's sharing access toilets... Overall no major issues , comfortable stay ... Thanks heaps

Spent 2 nights there. Great location, clean and spacious bed, gentle kind staff (thank you Stacy!!). Free water. Refill your bottle. Only negative thing the communal bathroom smells badly. showers are working and hot but the buttons are half broken. Breakfast toast or cereal with milk. Tea n coffee.

Location is very near from chinatown MRT and some popular landmark. A lot of food stall around the street. Each room has a tv & earphone. Though it only has one bathroom at female dorm (consist of 16 rooms), you can use mix bathroom in front of the female dorm instead. Very comfortable as a budget hostel.

  • 1/5 Phyllice W. 6 months ago on Google
02/09/2023 - AC is not functioning at all in female dorm 🥵 However staff is friendly and willing to help. For me it doesn't worth the money that I paid because of the air con, and no fan provided when Aircon is break down.

Stayed here for four nights. Location is very convenient. Close to affordable and good food. Walking distance to the station. Front office staff (Kristine and Kenny) were warm and friendly. Made the whole stay relaxing. Even when were sharing a room, there's still privacy. Ample bathrooms. Cant expect bathrooms to be 100% clean most of the time since some guests don't know how to clean up after themselves. Overall, very worth it.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tip:make sure to choose lower bunk when booking. Also be mindful when using shared amenities👍

I stayed here for one night after flying in from Bangkok. It’s a good hostel with clean bathrooms, good beds, and friendly staff. I like how the beds are set up so that you get some good privacy with the curtains and capsule type design. I would say however, that the bed sheets and dorm room smelled a bit like BO, and I didn’t like how I didn’t get my blanket until around 8 pm (it was still drying).

The cheap hostel located near China town. If you are solo traveling here I would really recommend this hostel. The location is good, you can easily walk around and also not far from MRT. The room is OK for the price, one thing I don’t like is the bathroom is not that clean but overall it was OK.

First capsule hotel experience, gladly, it was tip-top. The customers sharing the room were respectful. The staff at the reception was very helpful. Overall, highly recommend Chic Capsule Otel for a short stay in SG.

I booked from makemytrip. Worth the price. Washrooms could be more clean and maintained. Male staff is rude. Good location, near to metro station and china town local market.

Pod/capsule comes with tv, earphones and netflix entertainment(use ur own account and dont forget to log out) . Strong wifi. Friendly staff. Temperature not too hot or cold. Breakfast are available too but a simple one. Central location in chinatown More toilet on upper level. However, mobile network reception in this building was really poor and weak.

Not clean in their toilets. Their pillow case and towel are smelly. It is very noisy even late at night due to no proper policy implemented in their hotel. No security in the doors. Its 24/7 open. I hope they can improve. Thanks.

I just spent four nights here. While there were many good aspects to my stay, there's one thing that I didn't like. Start with the good - friendly staff: I was greeted every morning as I emerged from the room. The bed was quite large, with a slightly firmer mattress than I'm used to. No problems with the internet or street noise, despite being brilliantly located near the Chinatown MRT. Several seats were provided in the lobby to hang out in. Many places to eat and drink nearby - for coffee, I went down to the end of Mosque Street, turned right and went upstairs to the brilliant Rough Guys Coffee. Lots of skewers and beer if you go the other way and turn left, and I enjoyed the Sichuan restaurant just a few doors along. But the bathrooms! There are four cubicles - one on the ground floor, three upstairs. They had a shower and toilet in each. Two problems - the water was either boiling hot or stone cold. I was told this was the case with the downstairs one so should use one upstairs, but I had the same problem. The other was that there was no separate area to get changed - the floor was constantly wet, making it hard to get dressed post shower without getting wet clothes.

The best part about this capsule was the location. It was just too close to the chinatown MRT and a lot of bus stops around. As it was my first time in a capsule, I was a bit nervous, but the lady on duty (Gyscelle) was amazingly helpful and answered my questions without getting annoyed 🤪 She did a tremendous job and if I ever want to go back is because of her. The rooms were clean and the female washroom as clean compared to the mix washroom. Just the hand-shower was really hard to use. You need a lot of strength. The common washroom smelled like pee all the time. Understandable as guys use it. The guy on the reception who stays at night was just okay. Not very friendly. The most important part about this review is that the guy walks in to the female dorm anytime without knocking which is completely unacceptable. Lastly, the lockers were too complicated and also not safe at the same time. Therefore, I did not leave any valuables at the hotel. I would love to stay there again given that the criticism is taken seriously. Overall better than expected and the price was good for Christmas holidays.

Located in Mosque street in the middle of Chinatown near near Metro station , quite and cozy , bunk beds are clean and comfy , every bed with a safe and TV set, breakfast is so limited only club sandwich and a hot drink , but overall frugal and budget saver.

    (1) If you don't mind congested and limited space to move around, this is the place for you (2)If only want a shower and a place to sleep, (3)They shut the air-conditioning from 11am to 3pm (4)Cleanliness particularly the toilet maybe a concern (5)Beware of shoes theives. Overall, OK as it's freaking cheap and great location.

The staff are super helpful, and he is able to speak various languages which make our conversation even more interesting. He also lend me one umbrella to cope with the raining season at that moment. Each bed provide with personal television (Web browser, Netflix, YouTube and so on), a bed light and a curtain to retain your privacy, simple breakfast also provided!

  • 5/5 Zoe Z. 4 years ago on Google
Fantastic experience. The staff was amazing, prepared my breakfast, helped me with my things, walked me to my cab with an umbrella, just above and beyond. The place was clean and provided towels, had check in all night and good washroom facilities with hot water. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

I would stay here again. I stayed in a shared female room and even though there were 10 of us, everyone was very quiet. The bed has a courtain so you feel a lot of privacy, and it has a power outlet, light and TV inside. The bed felt very clean. The shared bathrooms are a little bit outdated and the walls and floor is black so it is hard to see if they are really clean but they felt sufficiently clean, but they are not well ventilated. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast is simple but enough (cereal, sandwich, small piece of fruit, coffee). The location is excellent in a non-crowded street of Chinatown and the subway just steps away. Overall very good experience and value for money.

  • 2/5 Terence 4 years ago on Google
Good : comfortable bed, friendly staff Bad: -very soft pillow till difficult to sleep, I think not enough cotton inside -only 3 bathrooms and limited space, it is a share bathroom with translucent shower glass. Totally no privacy at all, someone might see it -the tv is like forever unable to function , please guide your guests how to use it, very difficult to function and I struggle almost half and house still unable to watch it I would rather stay at other backpackers in Chinatown with cheaper price , doesn’t justify the premium price. Never again

I stayed only for 1 night and kind of liked it, always wanted to try this capsule hotels I was happy to check in late night. The tv in my 'box' was amazing! Just difficult to navigate with the control. Luckily I was too tires to get claustrophobic... In the morning it got really noisy. The breakfast was not so good but there are plenty of restaurants & food courts close by. The staff was very friendly! I did not like that there was no sink in the bathroom and neither a mirror.

Excellent location, just exit from Chinatown MRT exit A and make a few turns to reach the hostel. Staff was welcoming and friendly. I was given a cup of cold tea as a welcoming drink (a nice treat after a long travel). As it was too early for check in, I left my bags there and explored the area. Towels are provided along with a blanket. There's a restaurant next door that has live music performance at night and I could hear it through the walls. I am not a light sleeper so I was fine by it.

Great location close to China town, the MRT train line. The bed was very comfortable and had its own individual TV. The guy at the desk was super helpful and friendly. The room had a lot of beds for only one toilet and shower and that was a bit annoying as I had to wait to use it a couple of times.

The hostel is at a very good location, just 150-200m from chinatown metro station. The locality has plenty of food shops as well. You can also buy beverages (non-alcoholic) directly from the hostel as well, they have a good stock. They don't accept cards but the receptionists are really nice!
