For $17 a night in a mixed dorm - this is the best for budget stays. However I got this off-peak season. The staff is friendly. The internet connection is fast most times. Breakfast is just right for me - with either an apple or toast with flowing hot drinks. And the bathroom is adequately clean. The bunk beds are kinda squeaky. But each bed has it's own power outlet and light. Comfy pillows and warm blankets. The best thing about this place - the location! Out the door is the mrt already. So going around is literally no sweat and fast. And outside are shops from trinkets to food items.

the location is strategic, near to market and easily foraging. I stayed in dormitory room, narrow but clean, and have a china town view. free breakfast, drinking water available, and the receptionist is friendly. Worth it price, recomended for backpackers.

As its name, it takes you only 5 steps to reach the city centre. I love the staffs here, they work really heard and really helpful o all the customers. My roommates were friendly. The only thing I think they need to work on is the smell of the room. I was moved to room 17 at first and I smelt something like the restroom and they changed me to the better one. I also went to the super market to buy the air freshener and it got better. I still love this place, tho.

As far as backpackers go, this place is fine, nice bed, great ambience and awesome location near the MRT station. The bad smell people kept commenting on probably comes from other travellers who've had long days of travel - not the hostel's fault. Too bad they are sleeping in the same room as you because it is hostel after all. Learn to cope or just get a hotel room instead.

Stayed in 3 different places in Singapore and this was by far the best! Great breakfast, fantastic staff, very clean showers/toilets and really comfortable beds. Good AC and fantastic location for walking to Marina Sands and China Town. Recomended! Thanks again :)

Perfect place for traveller, either solo or groups. Nice rooms in the heart of Chinatown, Singapore. Just a walk away from Chinatown MRT and Chinatown complex to buy cheap souvenirs. Clean toilet and bathroom. Room comes with simple breakfast. Perfect for backpacker, unfortunate for luggage-traveller. Front desk staff needs to be more friendly handling the customer upon checking in.

I stayed in a twin room which was cramped, there was not enough headroom on the top bunk to allow me to sit. The bathrooms were cramped, the showers were small to the point where you towel/clothes where hanging in the shower with you. Free luggage store and a basic breakfast was supplied, also a late checkout time of 12pm. The hostel has no cooking facilities but is well located in the heart of china town with access to cheap street food and MRT station.

A hostel that sits in a very good location. 5 minutes to China Town station by foot. The shared shower rooms and toilets are ok and pretty clean. I find my 4-bed room super tiny. Only 2 sqm to stand in the room. They offer free breakfast which is nothing more than cheap cornflakes and milk. If you are lucky, then maybe they have some apples for you. The dinning room is actually separated from the hostel building and stinks. You can meet and talk with travellers there too which is nice. Overall this place is quite a normal hostel with nothing to be remembered. The only stength it has is definitely the location. There is a Maxwell canteen within a walking distance too. The receptionists were not that nice in my oppinion too since they tended to be quite busy all the time.

I spent a week in a superior triple room which was spacious and moderately comfortable. Working AC but a leak in the ceiling with water being caught by a bucket, leaving the room fairly humid. WiFi wasn't the fastest but was completely reliable. Bathrooms are very clean and are much nicer than most hostels. There is no common area indoors but there is a rooftop terrace which was great late at night. Breakfast was not available on site, you had to walk down to the other 5footwayinn. Decent stay, nothing special, however.

Amazing location 1 minute from Chinatown MRT. Lots of great food & drink nearby. Very friendly, helpful staff. We got the private room for 2. Very small and basic, but clean. The communal showers and toilets in the Chinatown 1 building aren't great. One toilet leaks onto the floor when flushed, and there is no space to put clothes or towels without them getting wet in most cubicles. The whole shower and toilet area is a bit run down and not as clean as it should be. Other than that this place is good.

Definitely a nice place to stay, as a backpacker and the one who loves traveling while meeting people staying inhostel is a nice thing. Plus this hostel is in good area, nice stay with helpful staff, breakfast included and western style.

Reasonably priced for the location, great if you're meeting friends around the business district. however there is a smell of paint on the room which is ignorable. The room is OK, lockers are provided, plug on the beside, free breakfast and a mini lounge. For best 5 foot way inn experience go to Clark quay or Bugis

Trying to check in now but will be glad if I am done in total 1,5h. My question during booking was not answered and I assumed they would meet the requirements. However, it doesn't apply. Now I see that they are happy to downgrade our room from 4pp to 6 pp w/ even no refund. Unbelievable!! Keep away!!

The location is great, the staff is very friendly, they also give a 5 dollar internet card as a welcoming gift. The atmosphere is very positive, very clean place. The only complaint is that the dormitory I was staying was stuffy, the mattress a bit uncomfortable and the light very dim. I anyway recommend it, especially for the great location.

It's a good place and have a good ratio price/quality. The position it's quite near to the center and so close to Chinatown area. The breakfast it's good but not awesome.

Excellent location!!!! Stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it was excellent. Good breakfast included, just don't go too late as the fruits run out quickly. Overall excellent

Excellent hostel. Clean nice room. Breakfast is nice. Staff are LOVELY and made me feel so at ease. I was stressed when I arrived as I am a young lady solo travelling, and they made me feel at home. I Enjoyed my stay here very much! I will definitely be back next time I come to Singapore. Thank you 5footway Inn you are awesome!!!

😠 First time in Singapore and the worst experience I’ve ever had in life. We didn’t like the beds and told the front desk we didn’t like it and we want our money back. They didn’t give our money back and we were kinda forced to stay just because our fees were not refundable. Very very congested. They...
