If you have some time left in Singapore and do not only want to go for the top tourist attractions, consider walking from Henderson Waves to Forrest Walk, Alexandra Arch, Hort Park, Canopy Walk and Kent Ridge. It’s a beautiful 5.8km walk. Start from the bus stop right at the foot of Henderson Waves or walk down from Mount Faber Cable Car Station.

Great area for a morning jog or walk. It's quite a serene and even surreal experience to be walking above the trees and being able to see how high you are under your feet through the mesh base of the walk way. The walkway is quite extensive and depending on how fast you walk or how many times you stop to take in the views, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to more than an hour.

03 Feb 2023: Cool morning at the elevated Forest Walk. Hmm...I thot I saw a bunch of grapes ready for picking and I'm pretty sure of it 😜. 17 May 2022: Amazing experience to walk above the trees, the smell of fresh air and also listening to birds chirping. Best timing to go would be early morning and the walk at the elevated Forest Walk is not too tough but remember to go at your own pace.

Beautiful hike and great views on the trail! I did the 10 km hike, which I found to be only a little over 5 km. However, it was nice walking on pavement instead of a dirt road, and the inclination made it more fun. I also loved walking on the canopy path for a while.

The Southern Ridges comprise 10 km of trails connecting HarbourFront and Kent Ridge Park. Some of the attractions along these trails include its greenery and the unique connecting bridges such as the Henderson Waves and the elevated walkway towards Kent Ridge Park. It was a good walk, long but not strenuous except for the initial uphill portion of the Marang trail from Harbourfront.

Nice tree top canopy walk whereby you can see many types of birds taking rest at tree branches. Diverse type of plants for kid to learn science as well. Try to avoid noon time as it is quite exposed. You can park at Hort Park and walk towards there. Some old pre war residential building which are very well maintained too.

Very nice tree top walk from which you see an interesting array of forest flora. Not much fauna, though. Note, the eastern section of the Tree Walk and Earth Walk is under repair and cannot be accessed.

Southern Ridges, Singapore ζ–°εŠ ε‘ ε—ιƒ¨ε±±θ„Š Southern Ridges comprise 10 km length of green, open spaces that connect Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve. (NParks; Southeast to Northwest direction) Within these open spaces, there are many hiking trails (Canopy Walk, Alexandra Arch, Earth Trail & Forest Walk, Henderson Waves, Marang Trail, etc.) which are popular to local residents. Visiting a country for leisure or business is the traditional tourism. Besides, Singapore has a good potential to develop the ecotourism. Tourists who are keen on environment are recommended hiking along the Southern Ridges. The 1-way walking time between 2 MRT stations (Harbour Front & Kent Ridge @NUS) via Southern Ridges is approx. 3hr.

This is one of our favorite walks in the Neighborhood. Walking up by the canopy height is amazing and you can hear a wide variety of birds chirping and flying around. Wild live is abundant with small reptiles and squirrels. It’s perfect when going all to way to Henderson Waves or Mount Faber. And yeah is totally suitable for dogs, just bring lots of water!

Had a good walk on this nice scenic hiking trail. The facilities are well constructed and maintained. This is really quite suitable for seniors to try hiking because it is not too physically demanding.

One of the easiest walking trail in Singapore but the sceneries can be stunningly beautiful. Walking from Alexandra Hort Park's bridge to Vivo City is about one hour.

Walk from Telok Blangah hill park to Hot park. Use to walk during day time, this time try with evening walk. Surprising that for people that having fear of height, not easily feel the height because you won't see the ground so clear. And evening weather not as hot as day time but i would suggest still need to being water.

One of the non touristy activities that I enjoyed on my trip to Singapore was hiking/walking here. There were very less people and views were amazing. The trail that I took was around 15-20 minutes walk and leads to Handerson Waves.

Singapore (/ˈsΙͺΕ‹(Ι‘)Ι™pɔːr/ (About this soundlisten)), officially the Republic of Singapore, is a sovereign island city-state in maritime Southeast Asia. It lies about one degree of latitude (137 kilometres or 85 miles) north of the equator, off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, bordering the Straits of Malacca to the west, the Riau Islands (Indonesia) to the south, and the South China Sea to the east. The country's territory is composed of one main island, 63 satellite islands and islets, and one outlying islet, the combined area of which has increased by 25% since the country's independence as a result of extensive land reclamation projects. It has the second greatest population density in the world. With a multicultural population and recognizing the need to respect cultural identities, Singapore has four official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin Chinese, and Tamil. English is the lingua franca. Multiracialism is enshrined in the constitution and continues to shape national policies in education, housing, and politics.

Very nice hike. We started at Kent Ridge Park, passed Mt Faber and finished at Harbour Front MTR. The walk was very pleasant and the entire trial was well pathed. If you plan to do this trial please do not forget to go up to faber point just before reaching the cable cars at Mt Faber. There's brilliant views there and if following the signs the Faber Point is easily missed.

Amazing park with elevated (and not elevated trails) in the middle of the jungle. It can be very hot at midday, so I guess it is better to visit it in the early morning. We visited it on a weekday and there was almost nobody apart from some locals walking or jogging.

Beautiful hike. We started on the east side by taking Marang trail. It was a little bit of a climb, but nothing too difficult for moderately fit people. When we reached the Faber Peak, we considered briefly to take a round trip to Sentosa with a cable car, but kept going to Henderson Waves. We managed to reach the middle of the Southern Ridges and had to end our journey there. First, because part of the hike was closed. Second, because of a downpour. However, if not for the rain, we would have taken a small detour to get back on track to arrive at Hortpark. Maybe next time! P.S. Does anyone know the purpose of the high-pitched noise is in the jungly areas of the hike? Maybe it's for deterring the animals from meeting the hikers?

If you tackle the route from Alexandra Road in the west, you have to be aware that it goes uphill almost all the time. So it is better to start at Mount Faber (public buses drive to it). It’s A Great trail starting from Kent ridge park ending close to VivoCity. It takes about 2-3 hours to complete and covers a lot of architectural viewpoints, Birdseye views of the greenery and good walkway amalgamating the concrete jungle and nature. There are many parks in between that form part of the trail, so many entry/exit points with easy accessibility (via cars/taxi/public transport).

My friends and I regularly walk this trail - from VivoCity all the way to Kent Ridge. A few inclines here and there, and enough stairs for a decent cardio workout. Make sure to use sunblock if you're planning to do the whole trek - 10km under the hot sun is no joke! And always hydrate πŸ’§

Beautiful trek - two different trails with a little bit of history in between and lots of nature ! Marang trail tarts with about 15-20 mins of climbing stairs and then the easier terrain starts. Overall one can trek for upto 10km in each trail - so can be covered comfortably in about 2 hours. The hortpark at the end of trail A is very beautiful and there are some nice cafes within a 3km radius. One of the exits leads to Alexandra road near IKEA as well. This one would be a second favourite after Macritchie.

Very beautiful place to visit. We visited at 6am, place was not very crowded and it was still cool without the glaring sun. One can walk all the way telok blangah hill to hort part via this bridge. The slopes of the bridge r manageable but the way back from hort park, is an upward slope. If driving, park at carpark 3 which is nearest the bridge.

Be prepared to sweat it out. Late afternoon and early morning is a good time. Don't go late at the night....some parts the lights are not working

Good short 1 hour walk. Choose either metal grilled bridge on top of forest walk or the scenic garden paved walk.

Southern Ridges + Henderson Waves is one of, if not the most, beautiful nature spot in Singapore, in my book. Breathtaking, stunning views any time of day or night.

Always a delight. Better at sunrise/sunsets. Caught NDP air display as well. Helis and jets fly right over you.

One of the most scenic trails in Singapore. Not too difficult so it's perfect for the whole family.

A very different experience. Went there around 6am so it was too dark to see anything. But i like the creativity Sg has put into having a "tropical canopy" setup in land scarce Singapore. Fresh air and wild life noises around me, lovely.

Had a lovely morning on the southern ridges. I spent 2hrs 15mins between harbour front MRT and Kent ridge MRT. Feels good to get off the grid but you don't feel isolated or lost, can still see the city and there's alot of entry and exit points if you don't fancy doing the full 10km

Lovely walk where you can experience beautiful nature. Very nice to be able to be close to the city, but same time to have this relaxing, beautiful nature.

A unique hiking trail in Singapore, with it being a challenge for everyone to navigate the bridges and the hills. The morning and evening is the best place to hike and jog here at the same time. The air is the freshest in the city of Singapore and it gives the sense that you are really living in a Jungle. The architecture present here is outstanding.

Easy hike on elevated trails. Great views of city, Fabor Point and Dragon teeth skyrisers

    1. Nature trail right inside the city. 2. Multiple exits to main roads. 3. Slip free paths. 4. Paths get illuminated in evening, dark. 5. Low gradient. Going up will test your heart and lungs but is still easy on knees. 6. Lots of spots of shutterbugs. 7. Lucky ones can spot exotic birds.

Southern Ridges is a hidden gem in Singapore, offering breathtaking views, lush trails, and a must-visit experience for nature enthusiasts. Don't miss the Henderson Waves bridge and serene canopy walks. It's an escape from the urban hustle with fresh air and tranquility.

This place is like a curated, structured, accessible walking spot. Occasional Bathrooms and drinks vending machines (the latter of which are a godsend!). Spectacular views and interesting forest scenery. Worth doing all the way from Haw Par Villa to Monument, which probably took me about three hours in total!
