Pretty nice place. There’s a mall very close by, and a bunch of restaurants and bars. The place is packed at night on the weekends and is filled with energy. There is a guy performing in front of the mall, he is incredibly entertaining and very energetic. The mall has nice a design and architecture, and the river view is accessible by most of the restaurants there. There are also river cruises available, and they are 40 minutes long and not that expensive

Clarke Quay is a popular tourist destination. Some locals come here but it's really mostly expats and tourists. It's a fun place during the day but it's better at night. During the day, you can go check the mall and ride the boats. At night, you can have a drink, a nice dinner and enjoy live bands playing popular music

If you are looking for an array of restaurants with a good night life vibe - highly recommend Clarke quay in Singapore. It is a romantic yet lively spot in the heart of Singapore with many expats and tourists visiting. Recommend the hooters bar / restaurant for a quick bite.

This is a very vibrant place with plenty of good food and pubs to choose from for everyone. It was once a popular spot for wedding couples and their photographers to take photos for their once-in-a-lifetime album. I am not sure about now since we just opened up after the pandemic!

Nice river side view restaurant although I think the price is on the high side. May be they should make it more interesting by including river taxi as well. For now it is more like fixed route kind of taking the river taxi. Since this is more like night spot, in the day time 5hey should have some activities too to attract people to visit this place.

What an experience. If you love a great architecture and want to feel like in Italy being in Singapore this is the place of must visit. You can enjoy the delicious sea food by the Singapore river and you can take a boat ride too. Make sure the ride is in night to enjoy the city light.

Clarke Quay - A great place for fun travelers. There are plenty of F&B restaurants. Surrounded by a river, it is a beautiful tourist attraction. The old building was built in the 18th century. A good crowd singing in front of many restaurants, live music, lively atmosphere and it’s an overall pleasant experience. You can happily spend an evening here. The River Cruise is also nice. It gives an excellent history of Singapore and an architectural-historical tour of numerous buildings along the bank. The vibes are amazing and we just feel like walking the riverside and being there. Loved every minute of it. Great place to hang out in Singapore.

Expensive to dine here. Better to buy food from elsewhere and sit by the river to enjoy the sights. Brightly lit with river boats and lots of street performers. Rather nice to walk around in the evening.

One of the best places to recommend all visitors and tourist to have a nice evening for drinks and dinner. Plenty of choices available, the restaurants facing the river also offers a very nice view. Home to mega clubs like zouk. Very crowded and packed during the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights)

Lively yet lovely walking street with beautiful scenery by the river. Full of restaurants, bar and bistro. Much more energetic and romantic in the evening. There’s a large shopping mall and also a street performer by the day I was there. Riverside restaurants here can be a bit expensive though.

The best place for guaranteed happy moments, Clarke Quay is a historical riverside quay featuring a cluster of bars and eateries. So if you are up for a culinary adventure, you do not need to look any further. As the sun starts to set, an influx of city dwellers and foreigners can be witnessed which makes the place feel all the livelier. Besides, you can also take a boat ride from this point and enjoy some of the best sights in Singapore. Clarke Quay and its reflection on the river water look ravishing at night when the lights illuminate the colorful buildings, making it one of the best places to see in Singapore. Highlights: Nightlife venue with chic cafes and bars on the riverside. Location: Clarke Quay, Riverside, Singapore Timings: Monday to Sunday: 10 am to 10 pm

Near river walk where located mom. Good to walk around. We had a dinner across the street, but the vibe is more like festival on the clarke quay side; several restaurants which lined up on the road with outdoor tables, and live stages in the clubs. Quite doable to walk from Clarke quay to city hall.

First time i came here at the afternoon but i don't know almost the restaurant and shop still closed. I just walk around for a moment and see the colorful building. Because i think you better come to this place when the sun goes down and at the night, the view so beautiful with many light.

Loved exploring Clarke Quay, which pre-covid days used to be quite a hot spot for people exploring the bar and food scene in Singapore. Mostly a hangout for tourists and for locals hanging out. This afternoon had a rather different experience as the place was deserted. Nonetheless an exciting place to explored

Nice place to be around in Singapore. Filled with upscale restaurants, around the world cuisine, very few options for breakfast as most shops open late but they start opening before lunch and by evening, the environment turns eclectic and electrifying. Nice place to take morning and evening stroll as well as great nightlife. Walking distance to MRT line, River cruise and Shopping mall. You can even walk down to Marina Bay by following the river enjoying the view of river and several bridges, each of them having a different architecture. On the way, you can see several installations of statues representing the History of Singapore and daily life of people in recent past. There is museum of Asian Civilization nearby as well. Some statues of prominent personalities on Riverside including founder Stamford Raffles. If taking a leisurely stroll in early morning or evening, be aware of people zooming by on electric cycles. Nice view of the river with the colourful lights reflected in the water in evening.

Clarke Quay is named after Sir Andrew Clarke, Governor of the Straits Settlements from 1824 to 1902. He is noted for having presided over the signing of the Pangkor Treaty (1874), which established the system of British resident advisors at the courts of malay sultans

Nice riverside with a ton of eating/partying places scattered around. It is VERY lively at night. The river side steps make a nice romantic setting(bit spoiled by the loud partying ambience around it). However, overall a nice place, if you just want to hangout with friends/family and then catch a quick bite to eat afterwards.

For those who wants to have a great experience to spend the night at Singapore, this place offers you many exotic spots. You can have a diner here or just chilling out drinking beer down by the riverside. This place also suitable for family trip where you can enjoy taking boat ride here. During the dusk the scenery around was superb, feels like incomplete if you visit Singapore but skipping this place.

When in Singapore, you got to be here for a relaxing evening. Yes, Singapore is a hustle bustle working country but evenings here at Clarke Quay makes you have a melow evening. Great for night life, entertainment, dining or just down around the river for a good conversation. Absolutely loved the experience.

I've been here going to find halal food. But no luck. I don't think they have food tenants that served moslem friendly food here. Such a pity considering many Moslem travellers went to Singapore all the timr. Other than that disapoinment, this place is very beautiful, it is near the river, and the buildings were very colorful. You might want to consider that this place can get very hot and humid during the day.

Lots of restaurants and whole area is covered as well as the seating by the river so you can eat outside alfresco dining everywhere even if it's raining. A few of the bars have live music as well. There have been major renovations here but area is fully open now 2024, although one block still not filled with restaurants

A good spot for nightlife and a drink in the town by the river. Lots of music and pubs/bars which are trendy and vibrant. Prices were a tad high but I guess that comes with the location. Did find it a bit awkward navigating around there on foot as there wasn’t ample places to cross over. Definitely worth using the underpass and crossings to get from one side to the other.

It's a lovely place to hang around, the food is amazing and the drinks too. Some places have live music, so they keep you energetic to move your grooves. There's a Mexican pub too where the Salsa dance was amazing. Even for non drinkers you can just stroll around the street and enjoy the river side view. I was in this place till 3 a.m and the place was still lovely. Overall its a good place to spend the evening at Clarke Quay.

Perfect place for night chilling and a stroll along the quay. Best Weekend Place. The most happening part of Singapore with pubs, bars, restaurants, you can choose what you like to do, drink & Eat.it really comes alive because of the beautiful lighting. Just sitting by the riverfront is fun enough. You can enjoy the cruise as you are ferried on the canal. Some bars also have live music. The restaurants, clubs houses and malls area all there for your entertainment. We visit on a Friday night and the atmosphere was really good. The food here is awesome, there is a wide variety you can choose from. Really loved the atmosphere with people from all walks of life enjoying themselves. Highly recommended!

Lovely place to dine and drink with friends and family of all ages. There’s something for everyone. The day and night of clarke quay is vastly different. In the day, restaurants are opened but there aren’t as many patrons as when late evening arrives. There’s also this love lock thingy going on which is the first time I realise it existed just outside of clarke quay mall. Perhaps a little hot to walk around in the day, but there are sufficient sheltered areas too.

  • 4/5 Khoa N. 4 years ago on Google
Nice breezy location with good view of the river. There are a variety of restaurants around, but they are pricier. Quality of food probably not as high as say Maxwell Centre. Still, a good spot to stroll, or sit down for a meal by the river.

This is more of a party place where you can have loads of fun with good food, live music by the river side. There's a ride as well.. if you want to have an adrenaline rush then you can try it. The entire place is full of people and a great hangout during the weekends. There's the Clarke quay central mall and this is the place where you can also take the boat rides for about forty minutes against S$25 per adult.

It has become the newest entertainment venue in the city of Singapore. Clarke Quay is a shopping, dining, and entertainment venue. In an entertainment paradise, after you come here, you will feel that the pier seems to be in a festive atmosphere all day long. The bars and restaurants on the street make the atmosphere very cheerful and relaxed. In 2008, a 165-meter-high Ferris wheel was built beside the dock lake, making this area even more beautiful. It is such a pier full of festive and cheerful atmosphere that attracts many tourists to visit. Especially the live show at the bar must be watched. Hooters is one of my favourite weekend place for a cosy and relaxing lunch. The promotional lunch is value for money for $10.00 per set. By topping up with $2.50, you will receive a bowl of soup plus a coffee/tea drink. For a total of $12.50, one will receive a main dish, soup of the day, soft drink, ice cream and a hot drink. This is really a true value for money, where there is either pipe in music and/,or TV showing sports to accompany you. Thanks for being there all these years, Hooters.

A great variety of dining options with a myriad of cuisines, with a fairly good selection of drinking/partying places... As the largest (probably??) nightlife/partying complex/region in Singapore, one'd be hard pressed to find any cheap dining options here... It was pretty much a dead town during the worst of 2020 (Circuit Breaker period in Singapore), but the crowds seemed to have returned to normal in the year end period...

Since they opened in the late 90s, like an extension of the wildly popular Boat Quay, it was the Pubbing and Clubbing scene. From the Early days of Funky Town to MOS, to eventually Zouk when they had to move from Jiak Kim. The last decade or so, as the culture of pubbing declined and trends move towards dine and wine, there's still a strong culture of clubbing here but an uptick of opening restaurants and bistros replacing Pubs.

Clarke Quay Central is place of strategical importance. It offers business with pleasure. For tourists it's a centre place from where one can easily and conveniently reach all the attractions. It's offers the flower dome, river cruise, shopping arena, little India, museum, botanical gardens, Merlion, Marina Bay, Fort canning and many other attractions within easy and quick reach (except for the Sentosa Island and Zoo, which are located on the outskirts) During out visit to Singapore we stayed at Clark quay and I must say it was worth the stay. The surrounding area itself is very pleasant and enjoyable.

There are many Night clubs, bars, restaurants (steamboat, BBQ, Italian, German, Chinese, Western, etc). Exercise enthusiast loves to walk, run and/or cycle at Clarke Quay due to it's soothing and calming river. You can also take a slow and relaxing Riverside ride with the boat that's available for booking. The crowd is also high with energy! Clarke Quay has been a go to place for locals and tourists prior to covid. Clarke Quay is still bustling with customers though most are locals. Prices are on the higher side which is appropriate with the area and setting by the Singapore River. It's location beside the Singapore River makes it a great place to unwind after a days work and yes it's a romantic spot too. Clarke Quay has several restaurants as featured in the pictures I'm posting with this review. I could have taken more pictures but for Google's limitation of 50 pictures. Clarke Quay is well connected by rail and bus and before i miss it, the ride hailing services too

It used to be a rustic place filled with rows of ex-go down warehouses. It transformed into what you see now. A place for food and entertainment. Come for a stroll or even to have a quiet meal or drinks with families and friends before the moment fades after the Covid restrictions are removed(if it can be) you will find huge crowd when it is over. For those who enjoy scenic views, walk along the river to consume the beauty and history of this place. Spare your time to watch the boats go by even. Otherwise, go do your shopping therapy nearby. You will get lots of it. Love it or hate it? You decide! Cheers!

The best attractions in Clarke Quay offer visitors a great range of alternative things to see and do, which doesn’t purely revolve around nightlife. Surely, Clarke Quay is famous for its stunning waterside restaurants and exciting collection of bars and clubs, but the area has so much more to offer. Most of the top-rated attractions around Clarke Quay are walking distance from MRT stations, and our carefully chosen selection includes a host of family-friendly activities and cultural visits that are perfect for the day time hours. This would leave you plenty of time to enjoy that thriving Clarke Quay nightlife when the sun goes down

Clarke Quay is a popular destination in Singapore known for its vibrant nightlife, picturesque riverfront, and wide selection of restaurants and bars. The area is located along the Singapore River and is easily accessible by public transportation. One of the main draws of Clarke Quay is its diverse range of dining options. Visitors can choose from a variety of cuisines, including traditional Singaporean fare, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, and more. The area is also known for its trendy bars and clubs, which are popular among locals and tourists alike. During the day, Clarke Quay offers a scenic and relaxing atmosphere with its beautiful waterfront views and picturesque buildings. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the river or explore the various shops and boutiques in the area. Overall, Clarke Quay is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Singapore. Whether you're looking for a fun night out or a peaceful day by the river, Clarke Quay offers something for everyone.

Clarke Quay should be on your list of places to visit in Singapore if only to say you've 'been there done that'. There are a lot of overpriced bars and restaurants in the area if that's your vibe. Otherwise, the best touristy thing to do here is take a bum boat ride to get some great views of the city from a different perspective. The best time to plan your ride is around sunset for some beautiful & memorable photos. The bridges crossing the Singapore river are also great (& free) spots for views and selfies.

I am not sure if I was unlucky or because of the construction around Clarke Quay, this area with a lot of shops and bars looks quiet and slow for a weekend. We got there after a Blackpink concert around 11:00 ish, and all the restaurant is slow or already closed. Only two bars were kind of interesting for us to stop by :( However, the foods option around this area is varied and all good. I would come back on my next trip to Singapore :)

Definitely visit this area and take a boat to do the river area. Its pretty soothing and you learn the history of the bay. It offers one of the greatest views of Singapore you can find! Its about 28 Singapore dollars each adult ticket for a 40 min ride.

The nice area along the Singapore River is, tourism spot where have a lot of restaurants and activities you can do. You can see those vivid colour houses along the river which got told the height of those represents the wealth of the owner back in the old days when the river is full of cargo boats.

Several businesses closed down due to poor concept and management. Mall restrooms are cramped, stuffy and not clean. The mall and Clarke Quay combined are simply an overpriced nightspot that just isn't worth it in this economy. You are better off sightseeing during the daytime. Walk along the riverside, where you can see historically significant shophouse architecture and rows of converted riverfront godowns in their full splendour. The bumboat ride (brown wooden boats with painted "eyes") is worth it. Other than that, save your bucks to shop, eat and drink elsewhere.

  • 5/5 Alex W. 8 months ago on Google
Nice stroll along the waterfront. Squeeze an hour and go for a jog on the second day and get around 5km++ with photos taking session. I wish that I could go further until the Marina Bay Sands area but time is limited during the entire business trip. I hope that I can be back here again in the future.

It's a beautiful riverside quay in Singapore home to a clutch of historic warehouses. In the 1800s, this was one of the centers of trade, when barges would transport goods upstream for storage. Today, the warehouses have been restored and painted in rainbow hues, making this a great photo spot. Instagram-worthiness aside, Clarke Quay has also become one of Singapore's food, drink, and entertainment hubs—the whole area has been converted into an open-air pedestrian precinct filled with restaurants, bars and clubs. If you're after a bit of nightlife or a good meal, this place will do the job. There are plenty of options and it's lively most nights of the week, so you won't be disappointed. Also one of the most convenient places to go pub-hopping—there are numerous options here to suit any age, budget, or music/dining preference. PS: I recommend visiting GABBAR for delicious Indian food & good Bollywood music.
