Sign up for the show on the queue lines before entering the zoo! The queue lines are very long, so disappointing. Should be a lot faster. The nigh creatures show is so fun! Almost feels unreal how the animals come for a quick visit and then leave! Brilliant! The queue lines for the tram are also very long! Try to leave from the show and head to the tran as fast as you can! The night safari is amazing, the animals walk right by the tram and so many animals are awake!

A brilliant safari with a diverse range of nocturnal animals. Kids enjoy the team ride looking at lions, hyenas, elephant, owl, etc. We went a little late and younger kids couldn’t take the late night. For those with kids, I’d suggest to go in when it opens and walk on the trails. Finish the trip with the teams and eventually head to the outdoor food areas. We enjoyed the trip and will probably head back they are abit older. Very friendly staff helps make the experience much better.

Went in about 7pm on a Thursday night. It was just in time for tram ride. Perfect timing for the ride as it was right before sunset. After the ride we went for walking trails and managed to see many nocturnal creatures in their habitat. There was night show available for booking 2h before show time. Animals were well trained with good interaction with the trainers.

Excellent experience in the night Safari. Make sure you go by 7pm and book the creatures of the night show which lasts about 30 minutes after which you can line up for the tram and travel in it for about 40 minutes which has speakers that self explains all the animals in the park . Few animals cannot be seen while going in the tram for which you can walk in the trails. At the end of the tram journey there is a restaurant and sitting area where you can enjoy good food of multiple cuisines .

Love the place, so many kinds of animal at night time to see. It is fun place to bring family to visit. The shows, most of the time will be full. Need to queue more than 1hr before to get the slot since it is first come first serve basis. It is starting every hour 8:30pm, 9:30pm, and the last one is 10:30pm. Not sure if there is any at 7:30pm though since it opens at 7:15pm for first ticket timing at online. The tram ride is fun. Took 30 minutes on the ride to see animals from the tram. Took 2 times and can see the animal which was not seen at the first one. The queue to tram was great. 5 minutes to get onto the tram. I wasn't expecting to be this quick though. The trails available are quite small path to walk around to see the animals nearer compared to the tram ride. Toilet and shops are located outside the park, which you can go in again after from the same exit door.

I don't suppose there is much that one can say about night safari, it's as is one of the best places where folks can visit whether they are hobbyists are couples, families looking to get a little closer to the nature. One thing that definitely surprised me was there was not a single mosquito and I was obviously overprepared by wearing full sleeves and full length joggers. Trail was amazing and animals were more visible while walking on the trail rather than the tram. There were just two things which disappointed me a little. The first thing was booking off the creatures of the night show, no matter how fast you try to book the shows online it was going away within a matter of seconds. So obviously making it in time didn't really help at all. The second thing which was a bit disheartening was the fact that even though the survey in the restaurants that are available within the premises provide an option stating if one would like to see more of vegetarian food there was still absolutely zero options for vegetarians. The only thing we could find was a bunch of soggy fries which was fried in the same vessel as chicken nuggets and had to ask the chef to exclude meat out of rice. For the people who are either vegetarians or vegans it's better you come prepared from home. From what I've seen there are very few places in Singapore who even provide a separate oven for vegetarians or vegans. It is surprising that there are two ovens in multiple places tagged as halal and non-halal but there is no tagging for vegans or vegetarians even though there is a big transformation happening, even a gentle neutral toilet, however there is very less thought that is being given for vegans and vegetarians. I really hope that the government and the authorities at least come up with a pizza shop that would give a little more option for folks who don't eat meats or seafood.

This is safari in regular zoo. Nothing special to offer. All animals are shown from train but due to darkness visibility is very poor. I strongly recommend day visit to zoo and avoid night saffari. It's not at all thrilling or exciting.

Best experience for tourists...especially kids. It actually an open zoo. It can be experienced by walking on trails, or by a tram. Most people come with family opt for a tram ride. The tram has 3 or 4 cars sitting approximately 100 people at a time. The ride is of half an hour. Going through various sections of herbivores and carnivores animals in complete dark. You can't use flash photography during the ride. The info about various animals is continually played on tram ride. There are various options of food stalls. And beverages too. The theater show is every 2 or 3 hours which you have register online and scan the tickets at the entrance. The show is also great. A fun place in Singapore 🇸🇬....👌🏼👌🏼🙂👍🏻

The safari features lots of nocturnal animals on display. The tram ride that brings visitors around the different enclosures is excellent as it explains the different animals that are present, or at least were supposed to be present. It can be difficult to see the animals though because it was really dark so we did not know what we were really supposed to see at times. Despite the long queue, we did not have to wait for long to get onto the ride, which was great. Food here is pretty pricey (and of small portion sizes) as expected, try to eat before coming.

Great ambience. Creatures of the Night show is both entertaining and informative. Tram ride duration is just right although we would have asked for more (: Animals can be seen in the shadows and even prowling next to the tram in close proximity. Walking trails aren't too taxing or exhaustive, very manageable even with kids. Strongly recommended as a place to visit for some night excitement!

I appreciate how there's a zoo just for nocturnal animals. Though because of that, the lighting here is very minimal in the trails, and it can get scary, especially if you're going alone like me. There are clear signs on where to go, and many staff to help out whenever needed. The variety of animals are great, and the show is well-made as well. Remeber to book the show 2 hours in advance though.

It was pretty cool. If you have the chance to participate, you should do that. It's a nice ride with a tram through the park where you'll see many animals by night. The park is highly frequented but they managed it really good so you don't have to wait to long for all the shows or safaris. Also the staff was awesome! Super friendly and helpful as it can be. Loved our visit! 5/5*

A neat and calm place to observe animals in the night. A wide variety too. I took the tram ride at 1st and covered the area of big and medium animals. Later on I took over all the trails and would specially mention that the walk in the created forest in the night is a nice soothing and different kind of experience altogether. One with a keen interest for wildlife will love this week as you get to see animals quite close through the glass enclosure.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit the Night Safari in Singapore, which is the world's first nocturnal zoo located in Mandai. This popular tourist attraction is open daily from 7:15pm to midnight. The ticket price for non-residents is $55. The experience at the Night Safari is truly amazing, especially if you have kids. However, even if you don't, it still provides an incredible experience that makes you feel like you're in a real jungle. To fully enjoy the night safari trail and see the nocturnal animals in action, I recommend setting aside at least five hours. If you're short on time, there is an option to take a tram journey that covers the entire area in just one hour. This allows you to get a glimpse of the animals and the overall atmosphere of the night safari. I highly recommend visiting the Night Safari if you're in Singapore. It's a must-see attraction, particularly for nature lovers. Additionally, there are other attractions connected to the Singapore zoo that you can explore.

Awesome night safari with a great range of divers nocturnal animals including elephants, tigers, cloud leopards, bats, hyenas, rhino and many more. The setting is great and the walking trails bring the evening to life. A great evening out.

'A unique experience ! we spotted the rare white lion and long tusked elephant.' It was an interesting experience to watch the animals in their natural habitats at night ...the tram was comfortable ...the synchronisation of the stops and recorded narrative (which is played along the journey) for each animal species was seamless . Of all the animals ,I was in awe of the rare white lion ( we could spot only one of them and just as we were passing by, he delighted us with a majestic yawn) .Also the long tusked elephant . The trams only show few of the animals ,for a more adventurous experience one can go on the walking trails- fishing cart trail, wallaby trail etc . Ulu Ulu is the restaurant serving local and various other cuisines . It's a paradise for non vegetarians especially sea food lovers .For Vegetarians there is only one option- rice thali . They have many souvenir shops . As the visit involves a lot of walking ,those with mobility issues may face difficulty . A percentage of the ticket revenue goes into safeguarding these animals including many endangered species which is commendable . It's better to buy tickets online before the visit .At the venue we got a bit delayed as we had to purchase them online . Worth visiting for kids and adults .

The zoo was informative and fascinating. However, I don’t recommend the tram ride, as it all comes down to luck; the only good seat is the one at the very front, and at the very back, you can barely photograph animals as the tram already begins accelerating. If you are able bodied, the walk is much more immersive, unless you manage to get the front row of the tram. Also, there is no wait for the walk.

The Night Safari is a unique and unforgettable experience that should not be missed when visiting Singapore. The park offers a chance to see a wide variety of nocturnal animals in their naturalistic habitats, lit only by moonlight and dim lighting. As soon as I arrived, I was impressed by the park's commitment to conservation and education. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing interesting facts about the animals and their habitats. The park itself was well-maintained and clean, with a variety of exhibits and trails to explore. One of the highlights of my visit was the Creatures of the Night show, which featured a variety of animals such as lions, hyenas, and otters. The show was both entertaining and informative, providing a closer look at these amazing creatures. I also enjoyed the tram ride, which offered a leisurely tour of the park and a chance to see the animals from a different perspective. While I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, there were a few areas where I felt improvement could be made. The park can be quite crowded at times, and the wait times for the tram and shows can be long for the first round. Additionally, some of the exhibits were a bit difficult to see in the low lighting. Despite these minor issues, I would highly recommend the Night Safari to anyone visiting Singapore. It's a one-of-a-kind experience that offers a chance to see animals in a whole new light. My personal favorites were the leopards and flying foxes, which were both active and engaging during my visit. I also recommend arriving early to avoid the long lines (which move quite quickly) and to make the most of your time at the park. Use the free Mandai Shuttle Services from Khatib MRT. It will take you about 20 minutes to get there

Singapore has great animal parks, but the most unique and something you simply MUST SEE is the Night Safari. It really is the equivalent of the Zoo but a totally different experience. Most animals in zoos are nocturnal but you rarely get to see them at night. Night Safari is zoo experience that is only open at night. The park opens at twilight but quickly turns dark. It offers two great experiences, ride on a tram that winds through the park (some animal exhibits can only be seen by tram like the elephants) or the more adventurous walk along a path between exhibits at night. It was awesome to see the Fishing Cats, Asian otters, Leopards and Singapore natives Civet cat and Pangolin. We saw all 3 animal exhibits at the zoo, but this was a favorite because it was so unique. There is simply nothing like it. If you are combining with another park, you can come to the Night Safari and eat dinner before going in. There is also a sort of dance show before the park hopes that you can watch. In addition along the trail and in the Amphitheater, they do have animal shows that are both educational and entertaining. Again if you can only do one park, be sure to visit this one. The experience is that amazing.

Night safari was high on my to do list and it was great! We watched the show in the amphitheater before heading in to explore. So many cool animals who look well cared for and comfortable in their environments. There were some kids whose parents didn’t stop them from turning their phone torches on to try to ”find” the animals - the visibility further into the enclosures can be poor but if you patiently wait and keep your eyes peeled you’ll see the animals without.

Great place to visit to see nocturnal animals at the zoo. Be sure to rush into reserve your complementary tickets for the night animal show. They are gone in less than 5 minutes. Long queues for the tram rides. The best time to board the tram is after 8pm. The walkabout paths are also a great way to do your own exploring.

Good experience throughout. Hop on the tram ride once you’re entering the safari and enjoy the ride. The tram is prep with information of the animals. You should also explore the place on foot (after the tram ride) to fully emerge into the wilderness. Totally different experience as compared to the day zoo😉 If you’re lucky, you can see all the animals at the safari, some are really hard to meet and kind of disappear in the dark

Not particularly for me I guess. Definitely do the car ride around first thing which opens at 7:00 p.m. at least then you have some amount of light left and you can see the animals a bit because at night time it's pretty much so dark and you can't see anything. But I guess that's kind of the point of the night Safari. I understand that this is being done to preserve the nocturnal nature of most of the animals being in the naturally and slightly dim lived environment. The trail and all is pretty cool definitely be advised that it is a long walk that takes at least an hour to go through the whole thing even if you're just quickly looking through. The part I enjoyed the most was the creatures of the night show, that was entertaining.

Don’t waste time for night safari … nothing is useful instead go for zoo … Food is ok Amphitheatre show is also no use … showing 3 types of owls n cat etc Waste of time n money … Hardly 10 animals were seen in the most of them were sleeping n not even visible. I recommend strong go to zoo or bird park instead

An excellent zoo experience at night. Well organised and excellent habitats. The lighting is adequate to see the animals. The Creatures of the Night show is also worth seeing even though the creatures do not appear for very long. The highlights were binturong, a few different palm civets, giant anteaters and Malaysian & Indian porcupines.

Thrilling experience u can watch the animals so close by walk or thru trams, Prefer trams if u have issues walking as its a vast area and try to be early like 7 45 or 7 15 solts as later slots will take longer period to finish and also the restaurents were almost stocked out most of them were sold out with limited dishes. A good Experience if you like animals.

Uniquely beautiful! We went on a rainy night but was still enjoyable. The night time window was too short with kids on tow so we did not get to explore the walking trails. Would be nice if tickets are a bit cheaper for young families though for this reason.

Visiting a zoo at night was new , and I never expected it would be this great experience. The place is maintained well and clean . It never feels like a zoo with caged animals, feels like being in forest the natural habitat of the animals There is a show near the entrance but it’s recommended to first go to trams and the restaurants usually run out of stock at later hours. It is better to get the early slots around 715 pm Unless you have the perfect equipment taking pictures her won’t do justice ,But there is a crew here taking portraits of you which you can collect after paying There is a shop inside which you would definitely find good to shop.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to experience the Singapore Night Safari, and it's safe to say that it surpassed all my expectations. As the world's first nocturnal wildlife park, the Night Safari offers a unique and magical adventure that allows visitors to witness the wonders of the animal kingdom under the cover of darkness. One of the highlights is the tram ride that takes you on a guided tour through the park. The highlight of the Night Safari is undoubtedly the chance to see a diverse array of nocturnal animals in their natural habitats. The carefully designed trails take you through different ecosystems, from the dense rainforest to the wide-open plains, offering glimpses of captivating creatures such as the elusive clouded leopard, majestic Asian elephants, and the awe-inspiring white tiger. The Creatures of the Night Show is a must-see spectacle that showcases the intelligence and skills of various nocturnal animals. The Night Safari offers a range of dining options, from casual cafes to sit-down restaurants. While the choices are diverse and cater to various tastes, some visitors might find the prices a bit steep. The park is well-organized, with clear signages and helpful staff members ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit. The carefully planned walking trails and tram routes make it easy to navigate, even for families with young children or elderly members. In conclusion, the Singapore Night Safari is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind wildlife experience.

This was an unplanned excursion as something else got cancelled. Enjoyed a international smorgasbord meal at the Safari Restaurant, then did the train ride. Note to oneself - it is very hard to take pictures of animals in the dark form a moving vehicle. Then enjoyed a short walk along the trails to see more.

Nice place to see and get up close to animals. Went there during Phase 2 HA as tickets are booked in Phase 3. Trams are disinfectant and wiped after every ride. Only 50 audience for shows. Friendly and helpful staff around the place. Walking trial: Rather dark at some areas. Not suitable for young children who are afraid of the dark. Might be slippery for the old when it rains. Have up and down slopes. Overall we had an enjoyable time. Love the cute animals.

Fun and full of adventures, both for small and more grown-up kids! When you arrive, I would recommend either queueing up immediately for the next show if you are interested, as the queues were long on a Sunday evening during our visit. Or alternatively, jump straight on the guided tour which takes around 30mins. I found that the walk around the park was the most fun, with lots of enclosures and areas to explore. Definitely recommended!

The Night Safari is a must visit if you have a night time off with your friends and family. Me and my partner visited the Night Safari, Singapore last April 2019, and we find it too crowded around that time. Not sure but maybe it’s the peak season for the park to have so many guests. We had a private van drop and pick us up from the park so I am not quite sure how much is a normal taxi cost or a bus trip would be. It is far from the city - around 30-40 minute ride. There are food shops just before the entrance where they check your tickets. Also, a fire dance performance was on just before they open the gates. The shows were fun and engaging. You also get to see the animals clearly when you go do the tram line thing — or opt to walk and follow the map. The staffs are all friendly as well. There are sufficient number of toilets and water refill stations in the park.

I loved it! Night safari was fun. I loved that they took safe distancing seriously. It was such a treat looking at the different animals, and I saw/learnt about quite a few new animals (like slow loris!!) I loved the free tram rides, it was so interesting having the animals so close to you. The wind was good, and so was the presentation. There are quite a few open enclosures that can only be accessed via trams. Really nice being so close to the animals like the tapir. Strongly recommend. The walks were interesting, although it was abit creepy walking alone for some parts, and some paths are not very well lit ( since the animals are sensitive to light). There are animals that you would not see on the tram ride that are in the walking paths so I would recommend you to take a walk after the tram ride. I took about 2 to 3 hours to complete the 4 areas. The creatures of the night presentation was good too. You have to book the show (the booking portal opens 2 hours before each show) before you will be admitted entry. The seats are really limited but i highly recommend it! The presenters were so professional and really fun to listen to. My itinerary for anyone interested was: -book seats at 6.30pm for the 8.30Pm show - entered night safari at 7.30pm - queued and went for tram ride (about 30mins) - attended to the 8.30pm show - explored the 4 walks/paths/areas I finished at about 10.30pm. I really enjoyed the trip! Do be reminded to not use camera flash when taking photos, to bring insect repellent, and water. :)

I thought the night Safari was an okay experience. The tram ride is not as exciting as I would have anticipated it to be. We did pass through some open enclosures where animals were walking around freely, perhaps that was the best part. Announcements were good during the ride but we were not wow-d. The creatures of the night is a nice show - worth to pre-book. The food is over priced and very very average. Not worth it to be honest to indulge in dining here. The road to get here was unbelievably crowded. Crazy traffic. Overall it Was a box to check, that’s about it for me.

It was an exciting experience. The show had owls, hyennas, and otters. It's a little bit too dark for photos, but understandable given all the animals are nocturnal. The tramp ride was great, but wished it stayed a bit more near animals. The walking trails were good too. Overall, well spent evening.

The trail is nice and clean, its quite a hike for the foot circuit, i went on a windless night, and in the tropical heat, I should have worn running gear with alot of towels (because I can't take the heat) camera phone tech in 2021 still struggles, unless the exhibit specimen decides to bask in the lit areas, but its natural for them to hide and strong lights is bad for nocturnal animals avoid school holidays if you want to avoid self entitled parents with self entitled children shouting all the way Perfect attraction for where's waldo fans

The tram ride do provide opportunities for close encounter with some of the free roaming animals. The walking trails allow visitors to stop to take photos (no flash) and view the animals at their own leisure. The show is short but quite entertaining.

I didn’t know what to expect from the Bight Safari but I was glad that we visited in the end. We took the bus from the MRT station at about 8:30pm. We wanted to miss the crowds if possible. We were able to bird a tram a little earlier than our booked time as there was no queue at all. We even got a whole row to ourselves so we could see our both sides of the vehicle. A word of warning - It is incredibly difficult to get good photos at night on a moving vehicle! So maybe just sit back and enjoy the experience and leave your phone in your pocket. There is a great selection of animals, some I have never seen in real life before. I would definitely recommend walking around the entire hiking route too. We were super speedy and did the entire circuit in about 45 minutes. But you should probably leave yourself a bit longer. We wanted to make it back in time for the show. The show was ok, demonstrations of some of the tamed animals and more oriented towards children. I wouldn’t rush back to see it again. The park spreads a message of conservation but at the end of the day it is still a zoo and it was unclear exactly how much money/help is going to protecting these animals in their natural environments.

We went just after heavy rain on a weekday evening, it wasn't crowded and we saw lots of animals!! The creatures of the night show was very interesting, my 2 year old was captivated. We had dinner there, food was very decent, price reasonable. The tram ride is a must do, good explanation of the animals and we saw most of the animals mentioned. Obviously it is very dark so it depends on how good your own vision is. Walking trail is nicely planned out, personally I did not had any mosquito bites, other half only had 1 and he usually feeds mosquitoes. Only suggestion to the park is to actually provide kids strollers, it is an option online but none available even when prebooking it a few weeks ahead!! Overall a great attraction.

Night safari is a good experience, be ready for big queues during weekends. The walking trails are very nice and you can go on your own to explore. That said there a few restaurants here so you could grab dinner if hungry and also a cute and extensive toy shop.

Most animals were out for their night feed so we got to see most of them. Be prepared for humid weather even though it’s at night. Being along some water if you don’t wish to pay $3.5 for a can of drink. Somehow the vending machine doesn’t accept my credit card so some $2 notes came in handle.

Nigh safari was cool, had more potential though. Bus/safari bit was really cool. The show was super average and so short. Needed more in it and maybe to be more interactive. Great food options are available on site and transport it easy.

This was the longest queue I experienced in Singapore! It's definitely more than an hour wait to get to the safari express. Once you're on it, the tour around the zoo goes for 20 mins with good commentary and stops at some places within the zoo for you to take some pictures without shaking. You are left with wanting more by the end of the safari experience!

Disappointing. The show was average, but could be much better. There is no interaction sections in the show. On the tram, you could not even see any animals except for some deers, elephant and some animals you could see at Singapore Zoo. I understand that they are trying to creaye a night zoo but don't even bother coming here. It will be a waste of your time and leave you disappointed. Go to Singapore zoo instead.

Good place to visit for the people who have never visited zoo. At someplace since the elimination is insuffuent you won't be able to see the animals. Lion is good . Two shows are good. Twilight show and creature of night. One time you can visit. It is away from city almost 35 km. You can go by taxi. Local transport by bus is vaialbel but take more time almost 2 hr. And by taxi it is 1 hr and cost around 30 dollar

A great nocturnal experience in one of the best-organized and beautifully designed parks. The entry fee is 55$ with the gates open just past 7 PM. We got our tickets online so went in quickly. While most people prefer to take the tram as soon as entering we went for the night walk first exploring the park on foot. This place has got exotic species with great shows running at regular intervals. The animal show (by Pavitra that night) is such a treat for people of all age groups. Experiencing the life of animals inside their habitat and at such a close distance is both scary and exciting, MUST VISIT!! Take your time to walk through all the trails and you'll not regret your time and money.

Night SAFARI has a very well structured train taking you through the park with right directions through recorded script sounds...(Look at the right side -Look at the left side) Almost every animal Visible from their designated plots.(you dont need to search for them) More than 30/40 Animals and its bright lighted and of course the open train journey makes it even great Its such a wide spread of forest area that you actually have to be bit silent just so that you envisage all the species habitats! I was very excited to see WHITE LION and MAMMOTH WITH her family.!

Amazing animals (I especially liked the hippopotamus and binturong) and friendly staff. Walk through the trail first to get a closer look at some animals, then take the tram to see other animals like the lions and elephants! It’s ok to give the show a miss if you lack the time as you can see the same animals on the trail except for the raccoon and fennec fox

Every bit as good as visiting the zoo during the day. To get the best from it you need to watch the shows, ride the tram and walk the trails. It was quiet when we went, but still needed 3.5 hours to see everything. We saw so many animals, and most of them close up, and not just fleeting glimpses.

Been here a long long time ago.... so decided to visit again to revive my memories of this place! Night Safari has reopened since 30th July and it is having 50% promotion now :) With the safe distancing measures being in place, it actually is quite a safe and fun tourist spot to visit post-CB! I was impressed with the manmade cave - the structures and the textures of the cave - felt like real! Enjoyed the tram ride, the thrill of walking in dark trails and entering into trails that would allow us to have close encounters with animals! During the tram ride, they also talked about how to preserve our natural environments for the wildlife animals and how to ensure the sustainability of these animals.

  • 5/5 Angie L. 4 years ago on Google
A unique and pleasant experience! Start off with the tram that gives you an overview of the animals in the park. Then go on the trails, which can be both exciting (if you are someone who's afraid of the dark) and rewarding (when you come up close to the animals). Some of the animals are separated by the mere thickness of the glass. Don't miss the animal show!

Probably only zoo to have night Safari. It gives feel of Safari through real wild jungle. Animals are roaming with full freedom. But, bunkers around their habitats keep us safe! Tip for travellers: commentary available on trams is multilingual. If you prefer to hear in your native language, don't forget to carry your headphones. Just plug in to jack in front of you and select your language.

It was a great experience and all in all, quite worth the price. Bought the tickets on promotion (probably due to lack of tourists because of COVID-19) for 25 SGD. Tips: Try to go as early as possible (it was only open from 7 to 11pm for us) so that you get to experience all of the activities. Check online website for activities at scheduled timings so you don't miss the ones you want to go for. I think it would be a great trip for couples, and for families. I think the main attractions would be the tram ride, the trails and the creatures of the night show (which I did not manage to go for as I missed the show timing). Tram ride is pretty chill where you get to sit and they would drive you through the free range enclosures for some animals and get to view them without a barrier in between you and the animals. For some of the more docile animals (such as deers), you might be lucky to view them up close but the dangerous animals (such as lions) would be situated quite far away, so it is very safe for visitors. The ride took about 40 min in total and it was quite enjoyable. Though it might be hard to view the animals when they're far away or it is too dark to see them As for the trails, I believe there are a total of 4 of them. It's pretty standard where you go through the trail to visit the enclosures of several animals. All 4 are connected in some way, so it almost feels like one very long trail instead. Maps are provided through QR code so you can view them on your phone. The paths can be quite dark at times so it would best to be more cautious if you have elderly or young kids with you. Again, it might be hard to spot some animals in their enclosures if it's too dark to see them clearly (unless you have a phone that can take really good photos at night).

Come experience the night life with a difference at Night Safari! Nestled in 40 hectares of lush secondary forest, the Night Safari offers guests the unique experience of exploring wildlife in a tropical jungle at night. Through the use of subtle lighting technique, guests are able to view over 1,000 nocturnal animals of 100 species in vast naturalistic habitats. The world's first wildlife park built for visits at night, the Night Safari is not like any ordinary zoo illuminated by the night or a modern version of nocturnal houses found in many zoos around the globe. Displaying tropical animals at night seemed ideal since 90% of them are nocturnal and, therefore, most active after dusk. Moreover, Singapore is blessed with sunset taking place punctually at 7.30pm, dependably cool nights and little rainfall. These operational advantages make outdoor night attraction perfect. Catch the exciting shows such as the Bornean Tribal Performers and the Creatures of the Night Show.

Amazing experience! We managed to see almost all of the animals, most of them were awake and wondering around. The highlight is definitely the lions roaring just like they’d do in the wild at night. It’s loud and makes you feel you’re in a proper safari. We couldn’t watch the show because it was raining and sometimes we had to rush through some cages to avoid *very* noisy kids (they’d disturb the animals and they’d go back inside).

The Night Safari was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Singapore. You can get up close to many animals and see how they interact at night. We mostly walked to around to the various exhibits, but the zoo does have several shuttles to drive you around the park. Expect a short queue to get on these shuttle especially for the popular exhibits. I also recommend you purchase your tickets in advance to get the time slot you want to attend.

Be greeted by the deers, bears, lions, tiger, elephants .. and my personal favourite were the hyenas as i was lucky enough to hear their ‘laughter’. After the tour, you may carry on to explore on foot. I have you know, its dark. But a great load of fun.

Interesting attraction. Uncommon and worth a visit. Unfortunate that during my visit, ALL the Creatures Of The Night shows that night were cancelled due to rain. The show is set in an outdoor amphitheater. Perhaps Night Safari will consider building a shelter over the amphitheater in view of Singapore's tropical climate with frequent rain. Ridiculously expensive car park. The carpark rates are atrocious not because of lack of space but because there are no other options available to park your vehicle. The sole carpark is shared between the three attractions there.

This is also a great option for people who has a challenge walking long distances. Be sure to be there early to catch the show because I didn't get to do it thus round. It was full all the way till the 10.30pm show. Totally a different experience than the day time zoo

Positives: 1. Very well organised as entry is by time slots. Thus, very orderly and not very crowded! 2. Didn’t have to wait long for tram rides and tram tour was informative: 3. When the weather is cool, it’s quite enjoyable taking an evening stroll through the 3 trails. 4. Nice to be able to see some nocturnal animals up close! 5. Cafe is pretty good with nice food and cheap beer! 6. Souvenirs shop having good discounts now! Not so good: 1. Got a little boring after a while as it was hard to view the animals at night (some either sleeping or hiding).. 2. Would have been nicer if it was a real safari (you are in a moving cage) with animals really roving around. 3. U can prebook tickets for shows so that u don’t have to wait in queue just to catch a show. 4. Some foot paths were really dark.. would have been better (and safer) if the foot paths were at least dimly lit. But overall, still not a bad attraction..

Very nice experience however some spots are kinda dark and may not see the animal properly.

Though it is kind of dark with low lighting, the animals were active and the food was delicious, no need for additional costs as well

Experiencing the zoo with kids is always super fun. Its even more fun to visit the animals at night. The Night Safari is a great way to get up close with some animals in the dark of night. Kids were thrilled by the tram ride. 45 mins of darkness through the "jungle" where kids could see some animals like the lions and tigers and bears. (Oh my) The trails were an even better experience. Walking through the "jungle" at night was fun and scary. Dont forget to bring things that help you to see better at night or you'll end up just seeing a whole lot of dark.

Urging all locals, please let our local tourist attractions keep their headsup. The zoo keepers work harder with less manpower but they kept theirs 😃 eyes on even with thier masks, and the cleaners clean every tram ride, good job mandai zoo. Stay safe everyone.👍

My first visit to the Night Safari was not disappointing. The tram ride was adequate. Most of the animals featured were visible and animated. The ambience wasn't funky too. Good to try now, crowds still there though manageable by the staff. Kudos

It was good to arrive early to night safari and be the first tram to leave, which meant we saw some of the animals in the light. We have annual passes so it is good to experience it slightly differently. Great view of lions and elephants on today’s trip. Still haven’t seen the tigers!

Absolutely love going to the Night Safari! Even though it’s priced higher than the other WRS parks, it’s well-worth the money. Tram is clean, comfortable, and the narration is informative. Love the walking trails too because it’s great to explore on your own. Ample parking!

  • 5/5 Sonja B. 3 years ago on Google
Did the Night Safari two days ago, would really recommend it! You can do a tram ride to see the animals, then walk on trails to see even more animals. Part of the fun is trying to find the animals, as some of them are really good at camouflage or hiding, but they are there !! Be patient and look for them.

  • 5/5 Jing Pei L. 3 years ago on Google
Last visited about 25 years ago when it open as the world's first night safari. No major recollection except being on the tram and a deer chased our tram at one part. Managed to spent a little bit more time here this time round and walked through 1 or 2 of the trails, I must say the trails are more interesting than the tram rides. If you can afford more time to walk, definitely take the trails as there are more interesting things to see. The trip was thoroughly interesting except for the fact that thunderstorm brought an unexpected end. Nice experience to see the animals active at night in person rather than on TV.

  • 4/5 Jeff C. 3 years ago on Google
A very nice tourist attraction, thats equally great for local visitors.. the tram ride is about 20+ mins and after that, then its off to the whole trail walkabout to experience the dark night safari up close and personal!.. its almost pitch dark under the forest canopy, occasionally lighted up by the overhead small led lights( to mimic moon light...) And you can catch glimpses of the nocturnal animals and their nightly habits as they move about.. flash photography is prohibited, so make sure your camera and HP is night photography capable! Overall a good 2 hr walk under the cool night forest and animals, and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

  • 5/5 Melissa E. 3 years ago on Google
Probably the best animal experience I've had yet in Singapore. It's pretty low key, not too many folks there at night, the tram ride is nice. But being able to walk around and see the animals at night was amazing. And seeing a pangolin up close blew my mind. Will definitely go back again.

  • 5/5 Reza N. 3 years ago on Google
Love the night safari. There is a good chance you may not see some of the animals at all, because of the timings. However, that shows that they value the animal's time over the visitors, which is good. Kind of like Jurassic Park 1993 movie, where they were not able to see the T-Rex while on the autonomous vehicles. I hope Singapore Zoos keep building the enclosures to respect the timings of the animals more than the visitors. We are after all simply guests in their home.

  • 5/5 Susiwati T. 3 years ago on Google
Really enjoyed Night Safari, it's my first time here despite being Singaporean. We managed to see about 90% of all the exhibits. Some tips! 1. Be patient and wait for the animals to come out, they usually will come out sooner or later! We waited for the leopard for quite a while and it did come out. When they do, they can pass by really near the glass so it's really a close experience. 2. I feel it may not be very suitable for young kids. Some paths are quite dark, and a little scary. Plus I feel younger kids may not have the patience to stare at an empty cage for a long while. 3. Book the earliest admission time for max time in the park. We came in at 7.15, and immediately hopped on the tram ride. The tram comes about every 10mins and the ride itself is about half an hour. After that can attempt to join the animal show queue for the 8.30pm seating. Sadly you'll spend about 30mins in the queue but that's kinda unavoidable. After the show, can start on your walking trail and spot all the animals. We spent about 2hrs on the trail on a v slow pace and saw about everything. 4. Wear good walking shoes, i regretted my sandals near the end of the night. 5. Going on a non peak time like Sunday night is cheaper and less crowded.

  • 4/5 Kautilya b. 3 years ago on Google
PLEASE READ THIS FIRST The first show starts at 7.30 pm in the night and they the tickets for it start around 5.30pm every day,but the queue will be so large that you'll end up getting a 9.30 show, and the food is every expensive. Other then that is a really really good safari for the kids and adults too .

Very nice to walk around night safari as it is cooling at night. However, there’s a rat infestation within the grounds, there were more rats than otters when we walked by the otter’s premise. Rats were scavenging in the trash bins and running across the walking paths which gave us a scare…

  • 5/5 Yancheng H. 3 years ago on Google
Nice and fun experience! The tram ride is really interesting which took 30-40 mins and it covers almost half of the attraction. The remaining 4 trails will take you an hour and a half to complete. The photos shared are in night mode so they look brighter than reality.

A staff was not friendly when answering to my questions. Asking about the direction to the 1st show, and she said its full already as people waited an hour before for the 7.30pm show. Whereas the night safari opens only at 6.30pm and we are there at 6.45pm! Meaning people start going in at 5.45pm?? And all the time she is answering my question, she doesn't even look at me, just look away (she's not doing anything btw, just standing at the queueing area). I'm just there ride on the tram and go home.

Can't really see much as the lights look blurry in the dark. The ticket price is at around 50sgd which is not worth at all. And when the tram ride came back to the station, they literally immediately on all the lights back up. Our eyes will go blind. Didn't go for the lumina as it's only just lights show. Guess a one time experience is enough. I prefer to visit the Singapore Zoo or River Safari instead.

It was really quite a wonderful experience.. Out of this world.. I must say.. The animals were quite in our vicinity.. One tapir even came close to our tram.. It was so sweet.. All the animals could clearly be seen in their natural habitat.. And with the narrative going on in English it was so much easier to locate the animals.. In Fact we did two tram rides..it was so very pleasing to the eye and the senses.. We were extremely delighted and satisfied.. Thanks to the Singapore government and the zoo safari team for putting up a great show!! By the way.. For those who don't know.. Went on a Friday night. Need to book timing prior to tonight’s trip. Parking was $7 for about 2 hours plus. Did not catch the animal show as the timings were 7.30pm, 8.30pm,9.30pm, 10.30pm. They only allow max 50 pax per show and you have to queue and wait for your slot. So went for tram ride first, followed by Wallaby trail and Leopard Trail only. Took almost 2.5hrs.

You can see a lot from the bus but it is very very step to push a wheel chair in some parts. But we had fun. The Amazon cruise section loaned us a wheelchair and the staff then walked with us to the taxi rank and order a cub for us and waited to make sure the driver new we had a fixed rate and going to the right hotel. The overall experience way tops. Sorry for photos being a bit blurry as we are not allowed to use flash.

Night Safari is a must go and amazing place in Singapore. I would recommend everyone to go for the animal show. Good experience throughout. Hop on the tram ride once you’re entering the safari and enjoy the ride. The tram is prep with information of the animals. You should also explore the place on foot (after the tram ride) to fully emerge into the wilderness. Totally different experience as compared to the day zoo😉

I used the MRT to get there and it was not difficult to. The place opens in the evening, and you can either walk or go by Jeep. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and the staff was friendly too. However, I believe they can work a little more on the visibility front without harming the peace of animals.

Great fun, and I highly recommend visiting. Very hot, it can be hard to see the animals and extremely busy. Recommend going straight on the tram whilst it's less busy and then walking around the park and then finishing with the show. Worth going to but be prepared with plenty of water, lots of people and minimal toilets.

Extremely fun night of getting to watch these nocturnal animals. A little hard to see some of them because they blend in so well with the darkness, as they should! Walkways are a little scary to walk through because of the limited lighting so watch your step, staff is kind and helpful.

Visited on a Thursday which was a public holiday. Opening was crowded, which was understandable considering the relatively shorter opening hours and majority's preference of visiting right after dinner. There's only one dining option which was a food court. Pricey but decent quality and portion. When I visited, half the seats were closed off, so it was a tough time getting seats. The main draw of the park would be the tram ride. Some enclosures can only be viewed via the tram ride, such as the elephants and the open deer enclosures. As there were multiple tour groups present, the queue for the tram ride took around the 40 mins. The ride itself was 15-20 mins (thereabouts I think). The ride was definitely enjoyable, and offers an experience you can't get at the other parks. By the time the ride was over, we spent about 10 mins walking one of the nearer trials before we had to head home (kids had school the next day). There is basically one long trial around the entire park, and you can start from either end. If you have the luxury of time, I might recommend walking the trial first (probably takes 1-2 hours depending how long you stop at each enclosure), then take the tram to end on a relaxing note.

Definitely recommended! But see the show timings which are free on mandaiwildlifereserve app before coming to enjoy all shows. Eat dinner before going on tram ride. Buy a cute souvenir. Worth it!

A perfect and well organized spot to visit 👍👍👍 Start with tasty buffet, then a show of “Creature of the night”. to get excited with night animals. Final with a tram tour to visit animals at night (can walk in the trail if the time is not rush). We really had fun here.

Dining and Entertainment: The Night Safari offers various dining options and entertainment facilities, making it a fun-filled evening for families and visitors of all ages. The Night Safari is open daily from 7:15 PM to midnight. It is recommended to arrive early to avoid long queues for the tram ride. Conservation and Education: The Night Safari is not only an entertainment venue but also actively involved in conservation efforts and public education about wildlife and the importance of protecting their natural habitats.

No idea what to say! We waited 1,5 hours for the tram ride. The tram doesn’t even stop at the animals to take pictures, it only slowly keeps on rolling and taking picture are freaking difficult with long exposure! Should have save my money and went somewhere else. I really like safaris but this is a joke!! Never again!!

Really good organisation. Had to book a time online, but actually could enter prior tk that time. Walked the trails and then took the tram once it was a little later and quieter. Animals very active throughout the zoo, saw so many creatures feeding, playing, all qell lit without being too intrusive to them, a great experience, highly recommend!

If you enjoy watching animals, it would be a great place to visit. I'm not a big fan of zoos, but I really enjoyed the area there.

Great to see so many different animals that aren't in normal zoos. The show is brilliant and well worth booking. The only issue is as suspected it got too late at night to see all the animals before the kids got too tired to go on. Favourite animal was the rhino and seeing them be fed. Parking was plentiful and toilets were available frequently and were clean.

This park is just one of my favourites around the world. Nope, not biased here although it hails from my country. It’s really wonderful to see the animals up close and in a habitat that is not behind grates and bars. It can be pricey but much of the money goes into animal conservation. It’s not world class without a reason. If you are here in Singapore, please do visit and you can wander about in the dark till really late at night. You might want to bring your own snacks or drinks though as they can be quite pricey. The walk in enclosures are the best!

We managed to catch the animals in action in the dark. There are many fascinating creatures like the malayan tapirs, porcupines etc. However the whole place is very dark and there are little lights along the walkways. I tripped over a hole and fell on my knees with deep cuts on my fingers and kneecaps. Would appreciate if there are more dim lights along the walkways.

I've never been in a zoo at night in particular or in a jungly-ish place in general. It definitely felt exciting, somewhat surreal. I really enjoyed it. Just don't take the tram for the trip, go on foot, ftw. Struggling to understand those who don't go on foot. You have to take it slow to take it in, see as much as possible. P.S. The show was rather mediocre though, very staged.

Well organised , it’s An excellent zoo experience at night. The lighting is enough to see the animals. The Creatures of the Night show is also worth seeing. A lady wear glasses, who works at the Photo Booth was very rude, as my pant don’t have pocket so I have to hold my phone, but she thinks I want to take photo of the screen, she was very rude to tell me to put away my phone. I was planing to buy photo but because of her bad manner i decided not to buy any. Night safari please take note of this!!

Absolutely freaking amazing experience, did not expect how thrilling it was to be in such darkness and be surrounded by such beautiful animals as you hear them before you even see them. The safety precautions they take for the animals, the passion they have for safety, conservation, and knowledge is so infectious and made my heart so utterly happy. Absolutely worth a visit, I highly recommend.

Lovely experience. Went on a Friday night, and it was expectedly packed. The night safari seems to be the most popular of all the Mandai experiences and obviously so. The staff was very kind to allow my aged mother to move ahead of the tram line. Everything is efficiently managed as expected in Singapore. The tram, however, only covers 30% of the park so that leaves a lot to be seen on foot but in the dark. They have wheelchairs but not all seniors may enjoy it. Visibility was surely an issue on the tram. Nevertheless, a great experience and highly recommended.

We bought tickets in advance and took a cab from our hotel. No need for a tour company. There is a taxi queue making it very easy to return to your hotel. There is a nice food court. We had dinner then took the tram ride (the only way to see the animals). When they saw we might have some mobility problems they offered a step stool and assistance boarding. None of my photos came out due to moving tram and low light but all my iPhone videos weee okay. No bugs, cool evening temperatures, interesting exhibits.
