Amazing experience at the River Wonders. Got to see Manatees, Pandas, and many other fascinating animals. Well designed with friendly guides throughout the park. Highly recommended especially with kids. Educational and healthy day out. Guide also shared that the entire Mandai area would be part of the Park Connector Network. Looking forward to it!

Initially I was under the impression this will be just an aquarium but it's so much more, actually including the whole river adjacent ecosystem, including but not limited to: flamingo, panda bears, chameleon, water dragon, and much more related creatures. There are periodic boat rides, shows, feeding the animals. You have a lot of buyable refreshment drinks along the way.

Very good experience, plenty of informative boards and great places to get good view of the animals/fish. Allow 2+ hrs as a minimum for your visit, more if it's busy. We visited on a Monday afternoon in September and it was not very busy which made viewing the exhibits very easy, but unfortunately the river ride was closed for maintenance. Highly recommended.

Worth a visit, especially for families! Mostly air conditioned, with some fun animals! Highly recommend the Amazon River Quest ride, it was the most fun and memorable- aside from the pandas! I wouldn’t probably go here again, maybe in 10 years? Because honestly it was really fun and exciting but not so much that I want to go again. I think once is enough, as the park is also quite small and limited. Nevertheless, would recommend!

River Wonders has some excellent animals to see like giant panda, red panda and manatee! We also loved the sting rays, and the interesting assortment of odd freshwater fish. This is not advertised as an aquarium experience but a lot of the exhibits are aquariums. It took us 3 hours to traverse the whole park, including time to queue for the boat ride. We liked the idea of the Amazon walk through experience but there were not many animals to be seen. Most were escaping the heat. I would recommend to the Zoo to consider adding more seating to this park, there are not many places for weary feet to rest.

Must try the River Quest ride if you come here, $5/person. I enjoyed the looking and walking through here, pretty straightforward too as compared to the zoo as it’s smaller. Took about 2 hours to explore everything. Pandas are so cute too.

One of the most sheltered and relaxing zoos, I can walk around the area easily either on rainy or sunny days. I would recommend combining visiting another zoo theme with this. The downside is the dining choices here are limited, unlike the Bird Paradise.

Amazing wildlife park! It is very well-designed and nice to walk through. The animals and sea creatures and nice to look at. There's a huge lake between both sections and walking over it on a bridge felt great.

Loved the visit! It showed many interesting animals which live in rivers around the world. To top it off, I managed to catch a glimpse of lele in his nursery 😍 do recommend to catch the show to make the experience more interesting where I was less than 2m away from the Iguana 😱 And not forgetting the big aquarium viewing platform!

It was fun as it's my first time but after a little while you seen everything but the boat ride was fun especially the drop I went there four times for the drop, once you buy the tickets you can re ride the boat ride again and again but the queue gets long, the show I did not get to see because it was fully booked very quickly so need to be very fast if you wanna book. Other then that it was fun if you come in the morning it's most likely you will leave in the afternoon Unless somehow you stay there till 6plus. It's very tiring after a day but overall it's not too bad.

It is a good place to visit, which is pretty much weatherproof as most of the attractions are either indoors or shaded. It's a good alternative to the zoo that is exposed to the elements. It seemed to be more kid-friendly as they have some air-conditioned areas to explore. Furthermore, it's the only place in Singapore with pandas, so it's a definite must visit if you want to see these prized animals.

Nice experience. It included varieties of fishes, Panda, Squirrel monkeys. If you are going to SEA aquarium then the aquarium section will look like a similar experience. It had a boat ride but I didn't try it because of height restrictions to my baby. If you are planning to visit Zoo or Night Safari , do this on the same day. All 3 are in the same location.

Formerly known as River Safari, this wildlife park is home to over 6000 animals, including 40 endangered animals, followed by the largest freshwater aquarium in the world. This is a one-of-a-kind river-themed zoo nestled between the Night Safari and the Singapore Zoo. It is built over 12 hectares (30 acres) and nestled between its two counterparts, the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari, Singapore. It is the first of its kind in Asia and features freshwater exhibits and a river boat ride as its main highlights. The safari was built at a cost of S$160m, with an expected visitor rate of 820,000 people yearly. The Giant Panda Forest was opened to the public on 29 November 2012, with a soft opening on 3 April 2013, attracting close to 1,500 visitors. This attraction is the fourth zoo in Singapore, along with the Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, and Night Safari, all of which are managed by Mandai Wildlife Group. The park was officially opened on 28 February 2014, and it was announced that more than 1.1 million have visited the River Safari since its soft opening in April 2013. On 13 October 2021, River Safari was renamed to River Wonders. Not to miss: The cutest red pandas with its fur of rust color and face like a fox Location: The River Safari is situated just next to the famous Zoo, 80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore, 729826 Timings: Monday - Sunday: 10am - 7pm Entry Fee: Adults- S$27; Children from 3 to 12 years- S$18; for Senior Citizens- S$14

Parked at the multi-story carpark and took a short walk to the entrance. The exhibits were truly quite breathtaking. Place was clean, cool and sheltered. You can expect to pay about $8 parking for a typical 2.5 hour visit. River Safari is an awesome place to visit! Oh yes, remember to bring your debit or credit card along as you will need to key in the card information when buying your tickets online. Their website doesn’t seem to have the option for Apple/Google Pay.

Eventhough it was raining most the day it was still fun. We also attended the animal show, it really wasn't that great. Seating had changed since the last time I came, and it want as engaging. Had to wait an hour to take the log boat ride, due to rain, honestly not even sure what the point is, as your on the water anyways.

The whole park area is a bit small, but full of varieties of animals. The show is the highlight of the trip. It allows great proximity with different animals. The show needs to be booked 2 hours beforehand. However I managed to walk in for the show. The whole park also is almost completely covered, so even if it's raining, I can still enjoy the facilities inside.

River Wonders is absolutely worth visiting for any visitor. For children, it’s a must. For most of us, it’s one of the pride and joys of Singapore. Being one of the few zoos in the region that showcases (not to mention successfully bred) the Giant Panda, it is not doubt that visitors flock to the zoo just to take a glimpse of these gentle giants. It is a hit or miss depending on how active these bears are feeling on the day of your visit, so don’t be too disheartened if you stumble upon a napping one. Also, it is crucial that you don’t miss out on the Amazon River Quest – it makes a big part of the zoo. It takes about 15 minutes and showcases some of the zoo’s coolest animals that you otherwise would not be able to see on foot. In conclusion, plan your itinerary, keep the show timings in mind, and book your River Wonders tickets early today!

It was entertaining and informative. Some trivia that you can learn and different species of fish you might not have are there for you to see. There's a certain area that was closed but no information why or don't know if they make this known when you are buying a ticket. It would help as you would like to enjoy the whole package yet an area is closed and you were not informed.

Good one time experience though leans more towards the younger audience. The highlight was the Panda enclosure and nice to say goodbye to little Le Le. The boat ride is only for 10 minutes and we happily gave it a miss since it was raining. Food options could surely be more but overall very professionally managed and layout is as good as one expects in Singapore.

Very well done destination for family with kids. Be the first batch to arrive to enjoy less crowded experience. We enter 10.30am and had a wonderful time there. Rested for brunch inside at “panda restaurant” overlooking the river. Decent food. The second half of journey continue after brunch. Note that boat ride only for kids > 106 cm. So you will miss a small part of the animals if you cannot take the boat ride. Buy boat ride add-on only if your kids are tall enough :) Definitely a river with lots is wonders. Both for kids and adults. Love it. Oh by the way, it is almost all sheltered. Weather proof for a family trip.

One of my favourite attractions in Singapore which I'll never tire of. I think the Singapore Zoo does a wonderful job of curating the animal exhibits for all their parks and am looking forward to the future developments of this area. A great place for both the young and for adults who never want to grow up. They really do try their best to educate on conservation which I appreciate. Do consider bringing your own snacks and drinks as the food choices are quite limited.

The main attraction is the pandas, but you are lucky if you can see both as the female one is more shy and is usually in her retreat. The river cruise which I enjoy is also closed for maintenance. Still a nice place to visit and one can finish the whole place in 2 to 3 hours. For a complete package and a whole day out, recommend that you visit this place together with the zoo which is much bigger and more educational.

It was an enjoyable trip in River Safari because there no crowd during this period. We had enough time and space to admire the fishes and animals. This is a nice man made place. Where you have to travel by a boat to see around. The ride will last for around 10 minutes. If you love to see animals i recommend this place. But it is more worth to visit the zoo. Because the journey was not as i expected.

Going to the River Safari was a great experience! Cool to see so many interesting and varied animals (otter, crocodile, manatees, electric eel, etc.) from across the world. Watching the spider monkeys being fed and the pandas the lounging around were the highlights of the tour. There will be time you will have to wait in line but the line moves pretty fast so its not too much of an issue. Restrooms are few and far in between so go ahead of time at the entrance before starting the tour.

Perfect place for family outing. The whole place is sheltered so it's really a relaxing and educational walk with the little ones. We love the Squirrel Moneky Forest where you get to see them up close and little animals running around you freely. Don't be imitated by the map, the place is really not that big and scary to conquer. Enjoy!

Enjoyed our day at the River Safari. Pleasantly surprised to note that the whole park has sheltered walkways. So rain or shine, this is a perfect place for a family outing. The information posted along the way is very helpful and educational. The River Cruises are suspended temporarily due to the Covid-19 pandemic but the River Quest ride is still operating normally. This is perhaps the best time to visit as there is no crowding and we really have time to enjoy the exhibits, especially the pandas. Will visit again for the shows.

A good place to see the different types of animals from different rivers of the world. Huge variety of fish to birds, monkeys, jaguar and others. loved the aquarium. Go see the baby manatee, the 2 pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia. The place is mostly sheltered so it's easy to walk the park without getting burned by the sun. Good to bring your own food and drinks as it can be very expensive there.

Best place to visit at Mandai when it is raining! Most of the walking areas are covered and some parts are air-conditioned. The kids and I like to sit in front of the big aquarium (Amazon flooded forest) to just observe the manatees and other marine creatures swim leisurely. This is also where the Giant Pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, are residing. Recommended place to go with the kids and older folks to explore and laze around, and get a big cuppa, especially if it is raining or the weather is too hot to visit the zoo next door.

31 Dec 2021 - Had a great time at River Wonders even in a rainy day. We went early to ensure we were in time for the 10.30am panda viewing. Due to our quick walking, we could even re queue to see Le Le a second time! On the second time, we even got to see mummy panda, Jia Jia! After we were happy with the panda viewings, we went to see other exhibits :)

Alligators and crocodiles seem to be missing in action — not sure why. Took about two hours to complete the whole trail. Sat on the boat ride, if you don’t sit on it, you will miss out some animals since they’re exclusive to the boat ride. Felt a little like a USS ride since there were some fast bits and I got splashed a little. Wouldn’t recommend it for the faintest of hearts (basically myself, I’m really scared of rides in general) though seeing guanaco made up for it, what can I say — I love cute animals. Didn’t get to see the new baby panda but regardless, the panda enclosure was my favourite. Although the red pandas were sleeping, they’re so adorable and fluffy!! Appreciated that the enclosure was air conditioned so it was a good spot to relax after walking through half of the park. Much preferred this to Singapore Zoo, as previous commentators mentioned, it’s mostly sheltered so it wasn’t sheltering hot.

Went on a weekend but it was a public holiday as well. Surprisingly not very crowded, and since we bought our tickets online the day before, we didn't have to queue for the tickets when we reached. Saved us quite a bit of time especially since the journey here already took us quite a while. It was a great experience even though it was wet weather right before we reached. All (or rather most of river wonders) are sheltered :D There are also enough seats around along the way so it's perfect for both the young and old.

Tickets can all be bought online. Best to buy beforehand so you can just scan your QR code and enter. Amazing creatures up close. Massive fishes from all parts of the world. Just note that to see the jaguars, anteaters, etc, its an additional $5 (somewhere around there) for a fun 7 min boat ride. We asked if we could go again after we reached the end and the lady said we could. Subject to the crowds.

The best zoo for my 2 year old toddler! She was excited to see the fishes and birds, and the walking was not too exhausting since we were mostly under the shade. As for adults there was plenty to learn as well. We didn't rent a stroller and it was mostly fine.

It was nice to see and learn more about aquatic creatures. You can spot some cheeky monkeys searching for food too! We enjoyed looking at the manatees and horseshoe crabs. A pity we wouldn't take the boat ride as our kids were below the required height and missed viewing a portion of the river wonder and its animals there. We also ate at the panda cafe. Food wasn't too bad. Kid-friendly restaurant👍

Amazing place, fell in love with it instantly. They have lots of BIG tanks with lots of BIG fishes and some exotic ones as well. And the manatee exhibit is breath taking too, there are 3 different viewing windows that gives you different view of the exhibit. Though there are sections that feels a bit too empty. For those who wants to join the animal show, it is recommended that you do an online reservation 2 hour before *(registration for show will ONLY open 2 hour before the show time)* to reserve your spot to guarantee entry to the area, there are 3 show times: 11:30am, 2:30pm & 4:30pm. The animal show showcases some of the animals that can be found throughout the parks and introduces them and the trainers will allow a few of the audiences to join in the show. They also have a good sense of humor. There isn't a dull moment throughout the show. *The entry ticket doesn't include the boat ride and ticket for the boat ride has to be bought on the spot as it is dependent on the weather conditions. Do note that this is a automated boat ride and is only for a small portion of the park (there might be some who would misunderstand it as a REAL boat ride through the park) and there is a height requirement for children for safety reasons.*

River Wonders in Singapore is a unique aquatic experience, though not as thrilling as its sister attractions, the Bird Paradise or Night Safari. The highlight here is undoubtedly the enchanting Giant Panda and the graceful Manatee, drawing crowds eager to witness these magnificent creatures up close. While the exhibit boasts an array of fish and riverine species from around the world, it lacks the excitement of the other attractions. One notable drawback is the limited dining options. A solitary Starbucks greets visitors at the entrance, forcing those seeking variety have to trek all the way to the zoo's entrance for more choices. #BurpOutLoudly

The pristine cleanliness and freshness of the surroundings immediately impress, setting the stage for an enjoyable outing. The wide variety of river life on display is captivating, offering an engaging glimpse into Singapore's rich aquatic ecosystems. What truly enhances the experience is the comprehensive information provided at each exhibit, making it a truly educational experience for all ages. The manageable crowd levels ensure a relaxed and unhurried exploration. However, it's worth noting that Singapore's tropical climate can be quite hot, so it's wise to plan your visit during cooler times of the day, apply sunscreen, and carry plenty of water to fully savor this remarkable attraction.

We went here right after the Mandai zoo which was already amazing, and so I thought we would be less amazed. However, this still exceeded my expectations. The place is truly magical and has a different charm. I loved the aquariums with the biggest fishes/sea creatures I have ever seen. The capybara show was great and the animals were really well-trained, it's a joy to see them perform. The river ride was 5sgd each and is very worth it (btw, you can repeat the ride! Just inform the zoo keeper). The giant panda park is until 6pm only so make sure you get there before it closes. The giant otters aquarium houses an otter couple, one of which swims very playfully, so I also enjoyed seeing them. I would love to visit again. Btw we were really lucky to buy discounted (around 60% off!) tickets as there was a tour guide outside the park who was selling no-show tickets.

We went in the morning and got to see most of the animals however timing is very important. If you want to see the animals up and about you need to be there at the hours where the sun isn't at its peak since, understandably, the animals go and rest during these hours. It was so great seeing the pandas, I'd say that's the main reason to going to the River Wonders. It's a lovely place, especially if you take the time and wait to see if animals will come and say hi. My only two critiques is the price of the boat ride ($5 per person). I find it unfortunate that it's not included in the base price of the ticket for the Zoo since you'd be missing on a lot of animals included in the River Wonders if you don't go on the boat ride. Also most of the animals were hiding from the heat when we went, and since it was a short ride (and I found that the boat went very fast during times you'd want to see animals), we missed out on seeing quite a few species. My other critique is that I found the red panda looked very stressed and unhappy, it was pacing back and forth on the tree branches and seemed distressed. I felt bad for the little fella and I hope he has a friend and was just stressed because his friend was indoors at the time. Other than that, it was a super fun activity!

We had a fun family day here. If you have kids this is a good choice. Lots to see and learn. Watch out for the monkeys though we were eating at a restaurant along the walk and the monkeys were snatching the food. I highly appreciated that they offer complimentary wheelchair since we needed it for someone who is not able to walk such long distances inside the river wonders. Thank you so much!

It was peaceful and we managed to see many more animals up close like the squirrel monkeys and different types of fish. We were lucky enough to see the manatees being wash and cleaned at the same time as well as an otter that was sunbathing in the sand. The red pandas were adorable marking their territories by leaving per marks and shaking their small booties! Here's a sneak!

Sheltered 90% of the way. River cruise is closed when we were there. Probably due to social distancing policy to prevent spread of virus. Pity. Enjoyable. Amazon boat adventures cannot be done as kid is below 1m. Otherwise a pretty nice short trip.

River safari is a really chill place to bring a date or have a family outing. Despite being a top attraction in Singapore, the enclosures are nicely distanced from each other, offering an overall breathable experience for you to enjoy your wildlife observation and experience. Pit stops with food and drinks are readily paced out throughout, although they can be pretty pricey. Would suggest bring your own drinks and snacks if you’re on a budget. The 2 cute pandas are the obvious attractions of River Safari. Watching them laze around in the air conditioned environment can be pretty therapeutic. The amazon ride was pretty thrilling and brought us really close to many of the animals. The ride was well-paced, giving you time to look and even capture nice photos of the animals :) The reservoir cruise however, felt very underwhelming. Other than cruising on the reservoir, we didn’t see any animals or learn anything new. As nice and zen as it was, the messaging of the experience could have been articulated better. Overall, the river safari was a great experience! I would definitely recommend checking them out.

You have to pre book a time slot before going. We went at 4pm. There was less crowd. We saw both pandas. Kai kai was sleeping and jia jia was walking around. My boys enjoyed their time.

Lovely experience with huge aquariums and many fish. My favourite is the flooded forest manatee exhibit. So peaceful and awe inspiring. Can (and have) sat there for an hour just enjoying the peace. Additional plus is the whole park is sheltered, which is good if it starts raining when you are in the zoo next door or on hot days

Nice place and air conditioned which is very good in hot Singapore. Was really nice experience but unfortunately both boat rides was closed and I wasn't able to see and experience river safari fully. Overall river safari was great but without real river safari by boat it's not full experience. Red pandas was the best part and I really love them. Big black and white panda wasn't able to see. Only one which was sleeping and quite far away.

River Safari has lots to offer both adults and kids. Interactive shows, 2 different rides and great animal exhibits. Today experience was different as my 3 year old wanted to draw the various animals.

  • 5/5 Vijay P. 4 years ago on Google
Its worth going there. Pluses: Most of the walk is in shaded areas and many times air conditioned....nice in warm Singapore. One can see 6 river ecosystems from 4 continents. Very nicely done. With the Amazon cruise one gets to see more animals which live in the Amazon ecosystem. We also saw Great Panda and the Red Panda apart from many other reptiles, other sea creatures and fish. 4 hours should be enough. One can spend a lot more time if interested. Very good concept

I think the idea of a safari to educate people about conservation is good. However I think more needs to be done for the welfare of some animals. 1. The Stocks and the Herons looked like they have little place to fly around the area. They were just perched in the rain today. When I compared it to what I saw in Sungei Buloh, I was not that glad. 2. Panda looked so afraid of seeing visitors and they would hide near the dens. Red Panda's area looked rather small to move around. I saw the one at Chengdu and it is much bigger and spacious. 3. The Amazon River Cruise was so rushed. I couldn't even have time to snap pictures of the animals as every section is crammed up i.e. I need around 10 secs to snap a picture of an animal before the next one comes up. I saw the space that housed the jaguar and realized it seemed rather small and I worry for its mental health. 4. The tank seemed rather small to house that many manatees. They were swimming around and around. I hope they would blocked out some parts of the tank to give the manatees privacy to hide away from the visitors. They should also not let people go so close to the tanks as children banging the tanks can caused the manatee to be frightened. Hope they build some form of barricade. Other exhibits like the crocodile, freshwater stingray and salamander were well taken care. Most of the tanks were rather spacious for the fish and turtles to swim in too. It was an enjoyable trip.

Very comfortable and pleasant to visit as many of the attractions are shaded or have AC, an important consideration especially when you have kids. Especially like the squirrel monkey attraction as you can really get up close and personal with them. Have visited a few times and will probably do so again.

An often missed cousin of the Singapre Zoo, it is definitely worth the visit. More suited for younger kids below 5, as its mostly shaded. Half a day trip is perfect for the family. Food is available without hassle. Protip: spray some mozzie spray, bring water bottles for easy top up and be early for the show @ 1130 and 1430hrs. Clean family fun!

Very well managed displays that add a lot of knowledge about river ecosystems around the world. Rich variety of animals, definitely worth a visit. Most of the park is covered so quite comfortable journey. Went during heavy rain and the key attraction Amazon River Quest was shut down due to weather conditions, so unfortunately couldn't see a portion of the exhibits. Do note many F&B outlets and shows closed at the moment during phase 2 of CB relaxing.

It is more like a zoo were animals are kept in fancy looking but super small cages, so that they are always visible to the noisy crowd. I expected something like a park where animals are free in large spaces but it was not like that at all. It made me feel very sad for animals than having fun.

First time visiting due to the 50% Singapore Zoo and River Safari adventure combo (valid till 27 Dec for Singapore Rediscovers vouchers). Favorite exhibits were the Red Panda and Manatee. Overall, love that it was a wide showcase of various river animals up close. Thailand's Mekong Giant Cat was extremely memorable! It's not a daily sight to see. Don't think you'll ever get to see these fishes up close and live without diving! Exhibits were very informative and I learnt a lot! Great upkeep WRS! I suggest limiting your time to 2-3 hours if you are looking to cover the Singapore Zoo on a same day visit.

A river-themed collections of fauna and some pretty sceneries of Upper Seletar Reservoir. This place also exhibits the famous Panda Couple, Kaikai and Jiajia. The water ride is a must-ride, offering new experience of walking through the fauna exhibits. There are a restaurant next to the panda exhibit, and starbucks at the main entrance. Worth visiting for a fun family day out. For a walkthrough, most walkways are nicely covered so it's not really a problem during a rainy day.

About one-third the size of the Zoo only. Takes about 2 hours to complete one round of the park. Mainly exhibits on fishes and reptiles, with the highlight being the 2 pandas Jia Jia and Kai Kai. We enjoyed the boat ride through the river (not the reservoir cruise) but it comes at an additional ticket price. The show area is very small and can only accommodate a small crowd, especially with COVID social distancing, so we were turned away.

The "underwater" viewing experience is simply magnificent. One can unwind mindfully while glazing at the surreal moving aquatic animals such as manatees. And of course, the pandas are soooooo adorable... too bad they are shy and like to hide sometimes.

Worth a one time visit. Amazon River Quest and Amazon Flooded forest are must watch. The show is So So not worth spending waiting time. If you happen to be there do attend but dont wait 2 hrs for that. Plan your time well as River Quest wait times can be 30 min to 45 min or even higher. So can go for River Quest 90 min before show time and should be able to be back without much time lost in waiting.

It was small but fun! The sea cows were so cute. So sad I went during their breakfast time. They were all busy eating grasses on top. Most of the places were sheltered, it made visitors felt more comfortable. Went to the boat ride too. Was an interesting experience but the kid behind us was very noise. Oh yaaa there were pandas too. There were two pandas, one female and one male while the male one was not shy to show the people how he ate. I spent 10 mins looking at him just eating bamboo. At some moment I even suspected it’s a human inside. Spent 2-3 hours and pretty much explore everything.

IF YOURE HERE FOR THE RIVER BOAT RIDE, MAKE SURE YOUR KIDS ARE ABOVE 1.35M. Any lesser, you might want to take a kayak go kayaking at the longkang. the place is hot, not much fans around, so wear loose dri-fit clothes. some longkang fishes, arrowana, alligator, ananconda and some river creatures you see at the fish shops at your local neighbourhood. other than that as usual, everything is pricey, a can of Red Bull thai will fetch $3. a cornetto about $4-5 parking wise its multi-storey far from the main entrance. theres lift over at the carpark.

Brought wheel chair bound Grandma to the River Safari recently but she was not allowed to enter one of the enclosures with her wheelchair. So she had to stay outside while we quickly made our way in to have an upclose encounter with the monkey. Could not attend live show because of limited seating capacity - perhaps can make the show shorter and more frequent at the weekend?

  • 4/5 Ong A. 3 years ago on Google
The show is a must watch! We had fun at the 2.30pm show. We went with no expectations so were pleasantly surprised by the sheltered walkways and how there us air conditioning for some of the exhibitions. There's alot of fish before we get to the Pandas. Go to see the Pandas first before going to the show since walking back and forth would waste your energy! The Red Pandas were sleeping so we couldn't see it moving but the Pandas were irresistibly cute! Their enclosures are very cooling too since it is air conditioned, definitely favourite part of the whole trip! We managed to catch the 2.30pm show and it's very fun and informative, recommended to watch it! The staff are very enthusiastic and cheerful, excellent show starters and humourous! Staff around the park are all very helpful, friendly and polite, thank you for making this whole experience even better! Was asked to do feedback when exiting the gate and when you completed it they will give you a voucher to redeem a drink of your choice at Inuka Cafe (A large sized drink Worth $3.50) Bought a panda toy as souvenir at $5.90, it is very cute! Cons: - Not a lot of toilets so when you see one make good use of it. - Information boards are mainly in english - once you crossed to the opposite side via the walkway it would be a hassle to turn back so explore everything on one side first before going to the other. -Bring your own water if possible. Ice cream in machines are double the price of what is sold outside.

Our go to place for a quick weekend outing. Due to covid, book in advance for timeslot on wrs website. For feeding in zoo or safari, bookings need to be done about 3months in advance as they sell out very fast. You need to start queuing one hour before show starts as they have very limited seats coz of covid. For river safari, because everyone is stuck in the queue for the show, there isn't any queue for the amazon quest ride which my boy loves. An abundance of knowledge, fun and beauty. You dont have to worry about wet or hot weather, it can be enjoyed comfortably. However note that by-passing the river boat ride ($5) there will be some animals that you will not get to see. Might be a consideration if you want to complete the experience. Hesitated to visit as I was quite tired after visiting the zoo. Was glad I continued the day with the River Safari. Really amazed by and enjoyed the river life exhibits and the panda enclosure (weekday visit; no queue).

I rated it the best of the three zoo offering which are the zoo itself, night Safari and River safari. Is you want to see the most animals the Zoo will be your first choice but if you want more relax trip then I will recommend the river safari. Obviously the star attraction are the pandas but what I like is the design of the park which is virtually a loop. So you just walk from one end to the other. The panda enclosure is air conditioned so it's a good relief from the sweltering heat. Additionally you get to see all type of animals including birds, 🐟 and mammals.

(Translated by Google) Word of mouth was not so good evaluation, but we enjoyed quite a bit. Laughed at Manati. The panda who was eating bamboo in a very weak form was very cute. Few animals were visible on the Amazon River Quest. (Original) 口コミでは余り良くない評価でしたが、結構楽しめた。 マナティに笑った。 何とも脱力感のある格好で竹を食べていたパンダがとても可愛かった。 アマゾン・リバー・クエストで見える動物は少なかった。

Great experience! Was raining but thankfully it's mostly sheltered. Directional signs were clear and good service staff around. Note that the Starbucks is outside the premise, so grab your coffee before entering. Pretty long queues for Giant Panda Forest and Amazon River Quest due to social distancing but they move along. We spent about 3+ hours inside and my 5YO had fun!

Good multi storey carpark but charges was high. Lots of construction noises but once inside the River Safari compound, all was serene. Lots of fans n shelter around. Water coolers available too. Bring yr own bottles. My favourites were the Pandas enclosures, River Cruise n squirrel monkeys enclosure. Q was fast moving n adequate distancing. Good job, River Safari! A very comfortable experience.

We booked the 3pm slot and entered the park around 3pm+. Took the Mandai Khatib Shuttle and it was quite a fast ride. The park was not crowded at all but weather was quite humid. Wanted to catch the Animal Presentation at the Plaza at 430pm but the show hit the full capacity already, probably because of the social distancing since it was just a small area. It was a pity that the Reservoir Cruise activity was suspended till further notice due to the current pandemic, hence there's a small section of the park was missed out. But overall it was a pleasant experience to get close to wildlife again, given it was redeemed using SRV vouchers. It was a quick 2hours spent in the park:)

Went there during the June holiday, a nice place to visit during the holidays. Saw many different animals there . The river quest was not that good , there were not many animals you could see . But overall find it a great place to go as it is home to many different animals. Worth the time and money.

I love the arrangement of the aquariums. The fishes and animals are amazing. Their body size are huge. I was shock when I saw them in the River Safari. I will be more alert if I get close to any living water... The huge fishes are not just live in the deep sea!

  • 5/5 A. 2 years ago on Google
This place never gets old. It's filled with so many marine life from freshwater to salt water and you can learn a lot about the fishes with their information conveniently placed beside their respective tank housing. My personal favourite is the Goliath Tiger Fish. Some of the enclosures were also under going some renovations,so we're excited to see what is instore for the future! Do visit this place with your family and enjoy what it has to offer!

River Safari is located between Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. It is a river theme zoo with large aquarium exhibits of animals such as fresh water fishes, manetees, alligators, green anaconda, electric eel and etc. Star attractions besides river animals are the Giant Panda and Red Panda. The River Safari has sheltered walkways and some of the animals enclosure are air-conditioned.

  • 5/5 Gunjan K. 2 years ago on Google
Experience was very good as the entire zone js shaded, have fans and a large amount of space is fully air conditioned. There are many marine animals to see but the most amazing thing to watch are Pandas. They are just so cute to watch. We could not take the boat ride as our child didn't meet the minimum height requirement to ride the boat. May be next time. Overall it was a very good experience and a very family friendly place.

  • 5/5 Roger N. 2 years ago on Google
Educational place for kids. The while precinct is built with well sheltered routes. For the shows, do arrive at least 40mins before start time as they only allow 50pax, and the crowd will be allowed in 30mins before showtimes. The river quest rides has a requirement of 1.06m height, but enjoyable for both young and adults. Place is small enough to complete via walking, so rental of wagon may not be worthwhile.

  • 5/5 Sarah O. 2 years ago on Google
A great place to explore life in and near the rivers. Most of the exhibits are shaded and there is plenty to learn. The manatees exhibit was my favourite. The panda exhibit was not available cos it I'd mating season so check before you head there. The Amazing River Quest was a good break to sit and watch. Go for it!!

We had a very fun time at the River Safari while learning new things and looking at interesting animals. Highly recommend this as a family activity. Like most reviewers have said, most of the walkways are covered and it was a very relaxing visit. We did have to queue up for more than an hour for the animal show due to the limited seats though. This was on a peak day. Otherwise, staff are generally friendly and helpful, the entire place is organized well, the animals look happy and healthy. Tickets are a tad pricey but I'd say that it's worth the visit.

  • 2/5 Jack N. 2 years ago on Google
They do not even provide basic stuff such as park map.Not many activities. Finished the entire park in less than 2hrs. Boring... You go around telling people you're going green for not providing maps, but printing out photos which cost $30 each even when no one is buying them. It's just plain excuse to cut cost.

River Safari Singapore. Well, if you are interested to find out about life at the river, you are in the right place. Here, you will get to find out the wildlife found at rivers in Asia. Also, get to see our famous Panda couples with its first born right here. Remember to have a photo shoot before you enter the panda exhibit. If you like the photos, make a contribution to the establishment by purchasing it. The animals thank you for keeping them safe there. Also, don't forget to get yourselves souvenir coins. 3 designs to choose from. You can only get it from inside. It also has a nice restaurant in the park. River Safari- Completed the place within 1.5hr. Not worth the money and a waste of time. Mostly fishes where u can simply go to a fish shop and view. Sea Aquarium is the place to go instead. Otherwise, zoo or night safari for others.

  • 5/5 Wai Kit C. 2 years ago on Google
Good to bring kids for exposure to animals and nature because almost the whole place is sheltered or air conditioned. It is not too big so just the right size for kids to spend one day without dealing with them getting tired. The highlight were the huge catfish, sturgeons and rays which amazed the children. In fact I think the fishes were more interesting than Sea aquarium and with much cheaper admission.

A little small compared to other similar attractions. River cruise ride is not included in the entry ticket and was an additional $5. Do note that from our experience, the shows are virtually un-bookable. We had camped on the site and refreshed before the opening of booking. Once the clock struck on the second, we were in and in 10secs, had completed the form, but the show was full by then. 😑 Pandas were the main attraction for us. Kaikai was impatiently pacing around waiting for food and he was quite entertaining to watch. Jiajia was nursing the baby and we could only see them sleeping through the monitor. The monkey safari was interesting to be in so close to the howling monkeys and small primates. The rest of the park was pretty average to be honest. Mostly Biotopes and reptile enclosures. River cruise was a 50min wait and an 8min ride. But it seemed the pace was a bit too fast really enjoy any of the sightings and you are speed turning your neck left and right in hopes of not missing anything. If you only had a day, I'd say visit the zoo anytime over the river safari. Or river wonders. Or whatever they are called when you read this. 😬 Oh yes, one positive point, the food is surprisingly decent and doesnt cost an arm. Check out mama panda kitchen! 😋

Fish and species are obviously much less. Not as exciting as I have been to before. Especially now it takes more than 30 ~40 minutes to line up. Need more patience! Be careful that some people will jump in the queue at the turn. The staff should take care of these issues more carefully. No live video of baby panda, and you may not see the giant pandas during their feeding times. There are still many areas under expansion. Look forward to better and more attractive measures.

First time there since its opening in 2012. Smallest of the three zoos in the Mandai area. Quite enjoy the 2-3hours walk around the place. Would be a good short day out for kids. If there are more exhibits and performances, it would have been great. Regardless still enjoy the river wonders.

  • 5/5 Sonzy M. 2 years ago on Google

3rd time visiting this amazing place. mainly for the kids to see the new species, breathe in some much needed fresh air and also to tired us adults out. saw some renovations going on mostly beside the lake so doesnt affect much while we were exploring along the whole area. place was clean throughout as usual with the high standard of cleaning maintained. not the usual crowded pack on a weekend but still manageable crowd.

It's a much better time to visit the Singapore Zoo or River Wonders now. With the outdoor and mask optional ruling, it is a much welcome move in humid Singapore. Shows are also back to full capacity but you will still need go book them. Bookings are open 2 hors prior to show times. There are still areas where it is air conditioned or enclosed area where you need to wear a mask. Overall positive experience with the kiddos to this fantastic attraction. You get to see something new with every visit. Ours were the squirrel monkey feeding session for this visit.

  • 5/5 Merica D. 2 years ago on Google
Best place in Singapore for a day out with your kids. Here you'll get to take a leisure walk with covered pathways throughout so it's really accommodating for Singapore humid and hot weather, imagine walking in a 30°C heat without a cap. There are fresh orange juice machines along the walk so if you need to bribe your children, it helps. The selection of sea life, mammals and reptiles is just the right amount so you get to see not only manatees, stingrays, large fresh water fishes (by large I meant REALLY LARGE) but also pandas!!! Even red pandas... Ooh they're so cute if you're lucky enough for them to be out. Sometimes these pandas hide in their rooms so you won't see them out wondering about in their enclosures. There are also performances which we never get to see because they're always fully booked and we always decide to visit spontaneously. I heard before COVID the place offer boat rides too. All in all, a must go.

  • 5/5 Kate M. 1 year ago on Google
This was a cute party of the Mandai Reserve to visit. The panda exhibit was the busiest by far. I enjoyed the river boat ride and thought it was a great idea, just wish it were a little longer. The squirrel monkey exhibit was set up so it could be walked through with the monkeys all around you. I wasn't sure if this part of the reserve would be worth it but am glad I went to see it.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. The crowd is not too bad for a weekend and we loved the atmosphere. The whole place is fully shaded and we were not under the scorching sun most of the time. Certain areas are air conditioned and we are able to cool off. We were lucky to see both Pandas out that day, didn't manage to see the baby Lele. Would recommend purchasing them in advance for additional discounts if promotions are running.

Giant aquarium with a big emphasis on rivers. Gives very good info on make rivers of the world with an obvious emphasis on Asia. There are animals from this region also. Red panda and giant panda were hiding. Amazon River ride is good. Beware, at the entrance they charge you again even if you have the ticket. For a country where honesty is celebrated, this is a shame.

I really liked that they divided in more parks even if you have to pay more. We bought Park Hopper with all 4 parks. River Wonders is famous for its Pandas and you can find a boat ride that it is really nice for kids. Lots of huge fish and rover animals.

Arrived just before opening time and got straight in. Had a Coffee at Starbucks right next to the entrance. We spent the whole day here. The best part of the River Wonders are the Panda Bears!! Absolutely loved it! It takes about 3 hours to leisurely explore this zoo including the Amazon river quest which is around 10 Minutes long. The thing I liked about this zoo is how well it is organised with a path to go through and not get confused by going back and forth from one exhibit to another.

River Wonders is a nice place for family n friends to spend half a day together. Leisure stroll, enjoy the scenic view, learn about the wild life n marine life. Of coz there is the lovely panda n the super cute red panda 😍. Nice shades and air conditioned place. Food price is reasonable for a tourist attraction. Must try - Amazon River Quest. A 5mins ride on the boat to see animals. Only sad thing - not that many animals 😞

  • 5/5 Andrew S. 8 months ago on Google
Of the 4 Mandai animal parks, the River Wonders is my favourite. Beautiful, scenic and peaceful worth fish and aquatic creatures from around the world. There's no doubt that the pandas and the manatees are a highlight but the live show featuring capybara is a must say well.

  • 5/5 Harsha H R. 5 months ago on Google
A very nice tourist attraction where fresh water animals are on display. Not to be missed when in Singapore. Panda is one of the main attractions. There is a boat ride also called the "Amazon River Quest" for which you need to buy tickets separately. The entry ticket to the park will not get you the boat ride. There is an Animal show as well. However, you need to reserve a seat at least two hours before the show. Check the show timings on the website. The Bird park, Zoo, River wonders and Night Safari are all in the same place and you should plan to see all the four in a single day.

  • 4/5 Kent M. 5 months ago on Google
Be able to see the Giant Pandas inside the area. Nice walk to see the different river ecology. The 10min boat ride is definitely worth it if you are in River Wonders.

River Wonders is an interesting place but each enclosure was smaller than I imagined, aside from the giant manatee tank. Highly recommend to arrive early (at least 20min) for Once Upon A River show to get good seats. The wildlife rangers running the show are really fantastic but the show itself is not that spectacular. I don't foresee myself returning to River Wonders nor bringing tourist friends here.

Eye level: I suppose this park was built with children in mind because the ideal height for viewing is for people around 100cm. I would not say they did this to be wheelchair accessible since this is singapore lol but because of how low most of the tanks were, I would say it is good for persons on wheelchair. Information boards: The information on the boards did no good as in depth as you’d expect from a river themed zoo, again leading one to think this park prioritises the experience of younger going visitors. Most of the time boards did not include all species found in corresponding enclosures. The languages were also inconsistent-sometimes there are alternate translations sometimes it is absent in specific language. Boat ride: Amazon river quest was surprisingly short, I think the $5 ticket should not have been charged, but included into the $40 admission fee. All in all I feel like one can expect more out of a tourist attraction in Singapore and River wonders is really not value for money considering you have to spend time to go to inaccessible Mandai area too. Many of the tanks are not well maintained, where is the park spending its earnings on? It was really sad to see the animals live in such conditions! Touching animals: Witnessed Chinese visitors running after Azara’s Aguoti and eventually carrying them… Please reinforce such rules instead of allowing animals to be traumatised if they’re going to be free roaming. If the park can have staff stationed by the pandas, why not in Amazonia encounters too?
