As a former member of Virgin Active, I highly caution anyone from joining this unscrupulous gym. When I joined there was only the Raffles Place outlet but I was told that a Tanjong Pagar branch would be opening in about 3-6 months but ended up being about 9 months. The pool was supposed to be opened together with the gym but got a further 2-3 months delay. The front of house staff would continually lie about the openings and would always say that they would be open in the โ€œnext monthโ€ for many months on end. Joining their classes was also a hellish experience. Popular classes like hot yoga and vinyasa yoga for example, require you to register the same night or in the early hours of the next day to secure a spot. Then when you actually do, there is no organization and the members just lay their mats wherever they wish and if you donโ€™t come early you wouldnโ€™t even have a proper spot. Their billing system was also extremely buggy, with my charges often being incorrect or failing to be charged (in which case they call you multiple times a day) while I had no problems using my card elsewhere. Yet, that same diligence was never extended to when they increase your fees. They had never bothered to reach out to me to inform me that they would be increasing my dues after my contract was fulfilled (three times before I finally had enough and decided to leave). They claimed to have sent me an email each time (which probably ended up in my spam folder, where they rightfully belong anyway) when I had raised the issue to them, but not once did I see any of that diligence to actually contact me to ensure that I actually knew of the increases. Given, they might have all those fancy and fun facilities and features, but with how busy it always gets, you hardly would have the opportunity to enjoy it anyways. Off peak isnโ€™t really an option either considering how short their operating hours each week are at most of their outlets. When they have so many members and so few clubs, you would think that they should keep their outlets open more right? Nope. All these issues combined with the little things like poor housekeeping, frequently damaged facilities, pathetic beverage offerings, unfriendly staff members, extremely uncomfortable workout shorts, worn out towels, etc, just sealed the deal for me to leave. To add insult to the injury, the welcome gifts I got were hideous pink low quality pleather duffle bag and shoe bag while soon after they started giving out sleek and handsome Under Armor ones instead. My whole experience with Virgin Active was one that left me feeling conned, harassed, and endlessly frustrated. Unless you want to feel that as well, I highly recommend you to search for other options.

The trainers and staff here are very nice. the classes in the mornings are mostly filled with older women in my experience. WARNING: DO NOT JOIN: RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGER. I was giving feedback on the state of their changing room & showers and how I thought it was unfair to make me pay for 2 more months membership fee when the state of their showers were disgusting and I had just missed the "cut off date" by 2 days. the manager gave me a standard copy and paste reply and then stopped replying me all together. Had no interest in resolving. When you sign up they are all about - forming a relationship with you and being there for your fitness journey. and then when you give feedback and want to cancel your membership they turn stone cold and just flick you off with IT"S POLICY. This is a bad club. the trainers and staff are really good but the facilities are terrible - the showers smell like urine and there's hair everywhere and gooey slime. people leave their used sanitary pads everywhere and dirty underwear with wet towels. the cleaning staff does their best but this place is gross. DO NOT JOIN.

Unprofessional service from sales consultant. Seconding another review that complained they did not convert AIA vitality membership in a timely manner and charged extra money for an unreasonable amount of time.

Although it's very nice, the customer service is terrible and the excuse is "we don't have a customer service manager at that branch". Even when I was overcharged, it took 6 weeks to process a refund and I had to put a block on my credit card to stop being overcharged again as it was not rectified quickly. It is a small gym, with a focus on classes, but almost all classes are booked up and unavailable, even one week in advance - meaning you more often than not have to visit another branch. This might not be a good place to join if you need to be flexible with your schedule and you are choosing it because of location. All of the staff are lovely and friendly, however they are unprofessional at times and would benefit from more customer focused training.

Make sure they never get hold of your credit card as they will keep charging you for the rest of your life despite your request to cancel several times. Sales rep sold us a membership for a higher price than normal. Signed up for 3 months only but they kept charging us without any notification or receipt till month 10 until after several calls, emails and visits we finally managed to cancel the membership. The personal trainers and staff are quite good and hardworking but unfortunately the whole thing is managed by money driven frauds

Outdated and old equipment, yet membership fee is so high. You get the same quality of equipment at ActiveSG gym and Safra EnergyOne yet have to pay a lot more, nearly 200SGD per month to FF. And classes are extremely hard to book as there are too many members FF signed up but too small capacity.

I saw the cleaner doing his work out during his work shift. WTH?! What kind of gym lets the cleaners to work out, especially during the COVID time when be should be busy wiping down equipment after the customers? Plus this club doesnt even have an email address to report complaints.

I am very disappointed of the service from Fitness First Paragon outlet, I had applied for Fitness First of AIA for special membership rate until now still charge me the old monthly rate and not yet settle since Sept 2018. I had visited to ask for advice around 4times but everytime giving me the different explanation. The last explaination was the HQ not received this info but documentation all updated on system? Can anyone advise me on this matter and don't keep find excuses. I hope fitness first don't destroy further from my trust.

What your attitude to scold me for mask on and even said rise up your voice to tell me โ€œ this is not a restaurantโ€. Im feel sad that ff have such of manager, thats why many ppl is terminated their membership and join other gym.

It is an outlet where there was no greeting from staff. Smile, thank you, have a nice day, etc. When I left the gym, I passed by 4-5 gym staff, but I didn't say anything. Even for 2 person reception staff. disappointing. If the staff are laughing and enjoying the conversation with colleague, why don't you do the same to the guests? It is a very disappointing outlet in the center of the city.

Fitness First Singapore Had an unpleasant experience at Paragon on 19th Oct 2020, 11.45am. Cooperated by standing outside the entrance (glass door) at 11.28am after a RPM class (10am to 11.15am) to wait for the next RPM class 12noon. At 11.45am, at the counter, I requested for yellow tag but I was told "customer cannot choose sides". I was puzzled because I had witness many people requested their preferred sides not only for RPM classes. I provided justifcation for the need for me to choose the yellow side because I already used a particular seat and I hope to go back to the seat (all adjustments done already). Yet, they insisted that i cannot choose sides and the rule was implemented recently (last Monday). I queried whether there is a written evidence stating the the new rule, they told me there is no written evidence. Then, I made a phone call to the customer service to raise the issue of the new rule of no choosing sides. The customer service officer call me back after he claimed that he called Paragon to clarify. He informed me that the new rule is applicable to Paragon only and it was implemented by the Manager of Paragon branch. So, I wonder this rule of not allowing the customers to choose their preferred side ethical. During this pandemic period, limitation of slots, safe distancing etc. are understandable and more than willing to comply. However, as a paying customer, I am not allow to choose where to sit or stand in the studios does not make sense at all. Furthermore, applicable to Paragon branch only. It is so strange. How come Paragon branch has such privilege to implement such rules to dictate customers? Feeling puzzled and angry

Very good layout and equipments at good working conditions. Staff are friendly and approachable. Clean toilets with attire and clothes to change. There is also good drinks provided such as coffee, tea and energy drinks. There are also magazines for people to read. Feedback was also easily submitted using iPad. There's professional chairs and space for resting. Instructors are well presented, prepared and professional. People who visit feels welcome.

Beautiful facilities but absolutely poor attitude of sales staff. Very poor after sales customer care. When you run into problems with payment for membership it will be difficult to impossible to resolve. No one answers front desk phone and when they do they will inform you that your customer service staff is unavailable and will call you back. But good luck on getting that call back. Nice facilities but you won't get to use them as the classes are pretty difficult to book into. Considering joining fitness first at westgate instead. They have outlets at clementi, fusionopolis, metropolis and paragon all of which are well worth the short drive. Admittedly fitness first won't be as luxe but at least you'll get a spot in the class and my friends who have had problems with continuing their memberships for medical or personal reasons have said that the after sales service is excellent. Don't be fooled by the beautiful facilities on your tour of the gym!

The club has grown its membership since joining. Facilities and รฉquipment are now suffering the effects of wear & tear. Further, the after sales service is severely lacking. They were very courteous during the pre-sign up phase. But subsequently was near impossible getting a response to queries or even request to review strike out points due to illness. Repeated daily calls over a week was required for 1 strike out review due to illness. In spite of having a legit reason for cancelling the class late (after 9pm the day before), they merely entertained my query to review the strike out & took no action as was promised. After sales service can be improved, perhaps due to the overwhelming increase in membership to staff ratio; service is severely lacking. Response from the dedicated manager upon sign is non existent

Very terrible business ethics. Auto renewal even though customers specifically called in to mention that they wish to stop their membership? When you mistreat your customers, it will definitely come back to bite you, especially when there are so many alternatives out there. Totally unacceptable.

The location is great and the equipments are newโ€ฆbutโ€ฆfor some reason this branch has so many dudes that just literally squat at the weight machines for up to half an hour doing no set but just keep watching their phones. They block out people who want to really use the gym efficiently. I saw a lady asking one guy how long heโ€™d need to use a machine. He told her heโ€™s resting but once she walked back he went back to his phone. Sad but I donโ€™t know what can be done.

The very first branch opened by Fitness First in Singapore, the Paragon gym has received a couple of face lifts, and would be what I call a complete compact urban gym. It has a comprehensive range of machines, a sizeable free exercise area with great equipment, and even a reinforced for squats, and lifts. It's my favourite gym to visit during office hours on weekdays, and isn't crowded even during lunch time. Avoid during the weekend though. Don't be lazy and go if you work in the vicinity.

Please don't join this gym. Poor service from the staff and slow response. Currently am a member on the gym and can't wait to finish my membership with them (3 months more). During covid time they charge you the same but more than half of the classes and facilities are not available. It's impossible to book classes too. Recently I got a knee injury and couldn't come to the gym. Though I missed the cut off time to inform them, the least they could do for me is to freeze my account from the next billing cycle but instead they ask me to message them again nearer to date. Basically they're counting on people to forget to freeze. Thanks so much for your "service". For the first time I feel like it's the kind of gym that just wants to drain you off.

Very disappointed. Whilst the gym is beautiful, the 6 class only booking system is flawed in that it penalises those that are keen to enjoy unlimited classes across the week. I enjoy taking an active class followed by a yoga or pilates. Their booking system only allows for you to book 3 days ahead which means the rest of the hot classes get booked up. Reception tell me you have to book over the counter for any of the available classes which is not practical for anyone planning a week ahead. I have yet to have one satisfying week of exercise..tried now for four weeks to get this resolved, sending emails and a face to face discussion with a manager with no results. Wish I had joined Fitness First...Not so glamorous surroundings but better number of classes and no limits there! Richard Branson, are you there? Please help!

Read terms and conditions! Beware of signing online yourself without any consultant. End up paying $879 for 1-month. They play with fine prints! Took one month membership on Jul 2022. Supposed to end by 31 Aug but still fee got deducted. When asked they say, since no notification received to cancel, membership will only cease by end Oct. Haha...these people are a joke and more so is their policy.

Just changed jobs and I'm working in the area and looking for a gym. Frank was really helpful in explaining and providing important information based on what i needed. Was considering between FF and the other nearby gyms, and decided on FF. What led me to decide was the towels, attire and socks provided. I just need to bring shoes. As i only got a 30-40 min lunchtime window, this helps. Good for busy execs and light travellers.

I am giving it three stars because the gym clothes that are provided in this branch are usually not laundered properly (some lingering smell, and the condition is also not that great as compared to other branches). The place has very limited equipment so you have to be either really early or go during lunch to make best use of your time. I think this branch is more suited for attending classes. Otherwise just go to other branches and you will end up saving more time.

The gym has got the needed equipment and they offer a decent variety of classes. The classes book extremely fast though. Everything is clean and very well maintained and classes are punctual. Donโ€™t expect to ask for anything extra, I requested them for months to provide me a consolidated invoice to get my membership fees reimbursed from my insurance and had to follow up for it for over 3 months and at the end it wasnโ€™t done properly and I was never able to get my reimbursement due to extremely bad administration so that annoyed me a lot. In Singapore though this is very common. I went for few months trying out other gyms and yoga studios but eventually came back to Virgin Active. When it comes to value for money thereโ€™s really nothing special about it and Iโ€™m not sure why their fees are higher than Fitness First, if the later was also in Holland Village I would definitely quit Virgin Active.

I hope the management can send someone to look into this feedback as early as possible The male cleaner that you engaged is very rude to your members. I was quite taken aback when he scolded a fellow member and asked whose towel does this belongs to, why never put into towel drop. While I agree everyone should do their part to throw the towel into towel drop after use, this cleaner should have questioned that member in a better tone ( not in a rude way please) When a fellow member in the locker room explained politely it isn't his, the Chinese speaking cleaner said aloud "how lazy are these member (s) " I want to know is he very unhappy with his work in FF paragon? I'm loving the range of classes provided in this club and although it can be crowded at times, you will still be able to find something that you can do in this gym :)

One of 20 outlets. Can be crowded during peak hours. Attire is provided here. There are separate studios for general exercise, mind & body and cycling classes.

One of the best FF club in Singapore. Bit overcrowded during peak hour (but that's normal). Sufficient equipments, staffs are friendly. Plus point: Dyson hairdryers are available here. :)

Best Fitness First in Singapore ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Even better than Fitness Fist platinum in Sydney The Staff and personal Trainers are all professional high standard level. The music is very inspirational, doesnโ€™t compare to other gyms! Makes you want to train hard! ๐ŸŒˆIn Shaa AllahโœจGod willing๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿซ๐ŸŒด

Great gym, quiet and peaceful compared to the city outlets. Broken into two levels of a public mall which can disrupt the experience slightly, but great experience on the whole.

This is a much smaller gym compared to the ones at Tanjong Pagar or Raffles Place. It exudes cosiness though the free weights or machine area is small. It is however not v crowded esp in the weekday afternoon. I do not attend the classes but I believe it is one of the draws to the gym.

New gym with some very nice exercise machines. If nothing it's a tad small, with change rooms on a separate floor to the exercise level.

Prime location at the heart of Orchard. May tend to be crowded at peak hours. Nevertheless, all staff are courteous and classes are well taught.

V pushy sales representative who kept convincing me to add on stuff for membership registration even though I said no. Wonโ€™t return to paragon outlet.

I left my shoes at the gym. Called FF which said it will get in touch w club at 9.30am. At 11 I called again to follow up, the person on the line said club hasnt gotten back. Till the end of the day, nobody has called me back. I am unsure if I should head to the club to look for my shoes.

Located on the 8th floor of the Paragaon, Orchard, it is one of the popular FF in Singapore. The views are amazing from the studio and well organized. The male changing room has sauna and steam facilities.

like what many other reviewers say, really bad service by the staff and really unfriendly. no longer the same policy of bringing guests in through walk in, but instead they have to make an appointment to do a trial, not a guest. otherwise is $32 entry. inflexible staff and unclear wording on websites regarding guest policy

Bad experience at FF Paragon. I was looking for a new gym around my office and did a trial class as I am looking for HIIT classes. After trying one class, I found the instructor to be not really motivating, the HIIT session is within main area so you are with other people, overall not my style. The sales representative was trying to give the details until I told her I did not like the gym style, and she replied : so you are not interested? And change her attitude and not even taking time to say bye, and just left me to leave the gym. This is honestly rude, and not an attitude a commercial should have.
