I
stayed
in
Tree
in
Lodge
hostel
in
Burgis
which
was
located
near
the
mosque
and
in
the
area
of
Muslim
community.
I
took
the
first
look
at
the
area
and
I
had
to
say
that
I
liked
it
a
lot.
Colorful
streets
and
lanes,
the
mosque
was
right
in
front
of
me,
the
MRT
station
was
very
near
and
it
was
so
so
convenient.
It
was
kind
of
weird
in
the
hostel
and
it
still
made
my
laugh
so
hard
now.
For
a
normal
hostel,
you
just
opened
the
door
and
walked
in.
But
since
there
was
no
receptionist
there
at
night,
they
locked
the
door
and
only
guests
of
the
hostel
and
owner
can
open
the
door
using
the
keycard
they
gave
their
customers
when
they
checked
in.
So
there
was
a
bell
there
and
I
had
no
idea
how
to
ring
it
so
I
got
stuck
there
for
awhile
before
I
decided
to
lift
their
curtain
and
called
them.
They
were
right
there
so
they
could
hear
me.
I
booked
a
mixed
room
for
6
and
again,
I
was
lucky.
When
I
texted
them
to
ask
for
a
lower
bed
because
it
was
convenient
for
a
clumsy
person
like
me
and
I
didn't
want
to
fall
off
the
bed
because
of
my
clumsiness,
they
texted
me
back
saying
that
they
couldn't
guarantee
anything
because
if
there
was
someone
else
staying
longer
than
I
did
and
they
asked
for
lower
bed,
or
someone
checked
in
before
me
and
asked
for
lower
bed,
they
had
to
give
it
to
them.
The
hostel
also
provided
breakfast
but
the
truth
was
that
they
always
had
toasts,
jam,
peanut
butter
there
for
hungry
people
and
they
can
eat
everytime
they
wanted.
Coffee
and
tea
were
available
for
24
hours.
Water
in
SG
can
be
drunk
directly
from
the
tab
and
I
bet
it
was
cleaner
than
water
in
your
house.
They
had
3
bathrooms
and
2
toilets
there
and
I
thought
it
was
kind
of
inconvenient
but
somehow
that
was
really
enough,
no
one
had
to
wait
for
their
turn
to
use
toilet
or
bathroom.
They
had
2
washing
machines
for
people
who
needed
laundry
and
there
was
no
clothes
dryer
so
you
just
hang
wet
clothes
and
waited
for
them
so
dry
naturally.
I
guess
they
cared
about
the
environment
like
other
Singaporean.
They
also
had
different
trash
cans
for
different
types
of
trash.
When
there
was
no
one
in
the
room
they
turned
off
the
AC.
And
they
ran
the
AC
at
temperature
of
25
degree
Celsius
at
the
same
time
with
the
fan
so
it
was
faster
to
cool
down
the
room.
Each
bed
had
its
own
curtain
so
that
the
person
who
stayed
there
had
some
privacy.
They
gave
me
a
locker
to
put
everything
important
in
there.
The
funny
thing
was
that
they
had
the
rule
that
no
shoe
in
the
room
and
bathroom
area.
Most
of
the
time,
I
saw
people
walk
around
in
bare
feet.
That
was
fun.
I
just
didn't
like
their
blanket
because
it
was
kind
of
short.
I
was
shot
and
the
blanket
was
short
for
me,
I
can't
imagine
how
it
worked
for
big
tall
people.
The
hostel
owner
and
staff
were
very
helpful.
If
you
have
problem,
talk
to
them.
If
you
want
to
talk,
talk
to
them.
If
you
have
something
to
ask,
talk
to
them.
