Our
family
of
4
booked
the
Funvee
Bus
Christmas
Lights
tour
on
26
December
for
the
7pm
tour.
A
few
days
prior
to
the
tour,
I
received
a
call
from
the
Company
whether
I
could
change
the
timing
of
my
tour
to
8pm
instead
as
their
7pm
slot
was
"oversubscribed"
as
according
to
the
caller.
I
stuck
to
my
time
slot
as
I
don't
want
a
late
bus
ride.
When
we
went
for
the
bus
ride,
I
heard
that
there
are
40
pax
on
the
bus
(Bus
Plate
No.
9301).
All
40
passengers
proceeded
to
the
upper
deck.
There
were
"no
sitting"
labels
on
some
of
the
seats
on
the
upper
deck
and
as
we
were
the
last
few
pax
to
board
the
bus,
we
sat
at
the
sheltered
front
portion
of
the
bus
where
the
seats
are
available
for
sitting.
However,
the
people
behind
us
proceeded
to
sit
at
the
open
area
of
the
bus
with
the
"no
sitting"
label.
We
were
not
happy
about
this
because
we
adhered
to
the
safe
distancing
measure
by
not
sitting
on
the
"no
sitting"
seats.
The
tour
guide
later,
in
a
lighthearted
way,
said
"by
right
cannot
sit
on
the
'no
sitting'
seats,
by
left
nevermind".
I
was
shocked
by
this
statement
and
asked
her
what
is
the
purpose
of
safe-distancing
if
the
bus
operator
is
not
going
to
abide
by
it.
It
was
only
after
the
bus
had
traveled
a
distance
and
I
have
feedback
to
the
tour
guide
about
it
that
she
said
"since
you
say
already,
then
I
have
to
abide
by
the
rules".
It
was
then
that
she
asked
the
people
sitting
on
the
"no
sitting"
labels
at
the
open
air
side
to
move
to
the
other
seats
with
no
labels.
By
then,
some
people
did
not
have
seats
on
the
upper
deck
and
ended
up
still
having
to
sit
on
the
"no
sitting"
seats.
If
the
seats
were
allocated
by
the
tour
guide
based
on
priority
boarding
with
safe
distancing
measures
taken
into
consideration,
it
would
have
been
alright
with
me
even
if
we
have
to
sit
in
the
sheltered
area.
When
I
asked
the
people
at
the
City
Tour
Office
(a
fat
guy
in
the
office
at
around
8pm)
whether
the
bus
was
oversubscribed
after
the
ride,
they
told
me
that
they
are
allowed
by
Singapore
Tourism
Board
up
to
50
pax
on
the
bus
and
challenged
me
to
check
with
STB.
I
want
to
know
if
the
50
pax
max
takes
into
account
of
heavy
rain,
where
all
passengers
have
to
move
to
the
sheltered
areas
in
the
bus,
including
on
the
lower
deck,
since
this
is
a
rain
or
shine
ride,
with
safe
distancing
measures?
Also,
another
point
to
note,
this
bus
ride
is
totally
not
worth
the
$20.90
per
adult
ticket
price.
After
all,
the
fun
part
of
the
bus
ride
is
to
be
able
to
enjoy
the
Christmas
lighting
on
an
open
air
bus
ride.
I
could
experience
the
same
thing
by
paying
$2
on
a
normal
TransitLink
bus
like
Bus
105
that
drives
through
Orchard
Road
for
the
same
kind
of
experience
if
you
sit
at
the
front
of
the
upper
deck
of
the
bus.
So
it's
a
"passengers
-
beware"
tour
if
you
have
purchased
this
tour
with
the
hope
of
enjoying
the
open
top
as
there
is
no
guarantee
that
you
will
be
able
to
sit
at
the
open
-
air
seats.
