One of the best day spend with the family, we were there from ten in the morning until six in the evening. Start with the unlimited tram ride around the zoo. Then watched the animals show. After that we visit one enclosure to another. Managed to clock about 12 km of walking.Managed to spot, most of the animals hiding and well camouflaged among the bushes. We also managed to watched the sea lion splash show. Really enjoyed and having fun at both animals show.Have the last tram ride before going home.

Great adventure, the fauna is very diversified from all over the world. At first it may seem disappointing (few exponents and/or hidden) but you'll eventually realize there's a lot to see. They have a tram covering the main road, however it has only a few stops, don't use it for actual visiting but just for returning and/or going to a specific zone, otherwise you'll miss out on a lot. They also have periodic shows throughout the zoo with various topics, would be interesting to see one or two. If you have kids get the wagon car to carry them around, the zoo is quite big and there are a lot of roads to cover. It has a restaurant somewhere in the middle and one more at the end.

It is a nice place to visit just once. Well maintained and comfortable for humans, but it breaks my heart to see how “restless” and “bored” the animals are in their small enclosures. The human walkways and amenities are so spacious compared to the animals’ enclosed homes, we should put the animals’ mental & physical welfare as priority, not profit.

Award-winning zoo with a wide variety of animals; perfect for a half-day visit. For those who are not keen on walking around; tram rides are available as well. Perfect for kids as there are areas where kids can interact with animals and run around freely. Also interesting to watch the well-trained animals participate in the animal shows.

Have a great visit here. With a bonus of nice weather. A bit crowded during weekends, a lot of family groups. Able to watch some animal shows. Reasonable entrance tickets fee. Worth to go if u love to see a lot kind of different animal species. Spend around 5 hours here, enjoy the walk, spot a lot of rare animals.

I enjoyed my visit to the zoo, although it's the only one I've been to so far! 😄 Not much to comment on, but it can get crowded. I'd recommend bringing your own umbrella for shade or a fan if you're sensitive to heat.

It is one of the best zoos in the world. Malayan tiger is the attraction of the zoo. Lion was looking very weak and aged, but all other animals were very active. Take the tram ride after walking from one end to another to return back where you can glance at all animals one more time from the comfort of the tram ride. Try fresh orange 🍊 juice from the vending. It was super refreshing.

This zoo was great. Definitely one of the best zoos we have visiting. Facilities were very good, and the zoo was maintained very well. Animals looked healthy. There was a great variety of animals too. The area is very big, so you’ll have to walk a lot to explore the whole thing. We spent almost a whole day here, and it was totally worth it! All the animals were well-cared-for & everything was super clean. We paid $8 extra to feed the giraffes & elephants. Only 2 food outlets open at this stage. Easy to access from Singapore city by MRT & short bus transfer.

The Singapore Zoo is hands down the best zoo I’ve ever been to in the world. The exhibits are beautifully designed so that you feel as if you have truly stepped into the animals’ habitat. The messaging about climate change is solution-focused and the Zoo clearly demonstrates it’s commitment to and involvement in conservation. There are several distinct areas of the Zoo, each with its own focus (and a separate ticket). We did the Night Safari (highly recommended) and then bought a two-park pass which enabled us to go to any two of the areas one time each during a seven-day span. We visited the Singapore Zoo the first day and came back and did the River Wonder the second. We could have spent another day at just the Zoo. There is so much to see. What’s most remarkable is that the animals are really active and you can see them doing many of their natural and normal behaviors. It’s something I’ve never seen at another Zoo. I recommend bringing your own water bottles (plenty of places to fill them) and hand cloths and/or tissues (napkins cost extra at all of the restaurants). Definitely book tickets in advance.

The zoo was pretty well maintained. The animal shows need a special mention. The sea-lion show was especially fun. The cages and enclosures are quite well maintained as close to the natural habitat. Entry and other processes were really easy.

Definitely a way better experience than River Safari. Nice to see animals such as giraffes and rhinos within fairly close proximity. Not a very big zoo but if you don't have kids keeping you busy, then you can make the whole trip within around 2 hours.

The zoo is enormous with a variety of zones to explore. There are bus services available to reach different points within the zoo. We use rewards for a complimentary breakfast, which offers a diverse selection, though the taste is decent. Animal shows are scheduled throughout the day. Overall, it was very impressive.

Please start training for long walks a week before you visit the park. It's about 5-8 km walk throughout the park and standing in various queues. But it's all worth it. The animal exhibits are fantastic, the animal shows are amazing. Makes all the effort worth it. Getting to the zoo is easy by taxi, but coming back can by taxi cab be a hassle. Use the public transport bus and MRT to get back to the city . Plan for day tour of the zoo for good view. Night safari begins at 7 pm. After zoo tour, one can visit river safari which was an enjoyable experience. Especially if you have young children with you. One cannot do zoo tour, bird tour and river tour properly in 1 day. Plan accordingly.

Our trip to the Singapore Zoo was quite a lot of fun. We were lucky that there weren’t a lot of people visiting so we were able to pace ourselves and see all the animals without a rush. The zoo is well maintained and the animals looked quite well fed and healthy, which is a good sign. If you haven’t been to the zoo, you are surely missing out.

Set aside an entire day for the visit. Do check out the timing for the shows and plan your route around the zoo to see all the animals. Be early for the shows as the seats fill up fast. With Covid measures in place, each show is limited to a smaller group of audience. Water play and some children attractions are closed. Washrooms and snacks counter are plenty around the entire zoo. You can bring your own snacks to picnic.

Singapore Zoo followed the modern trend of displaying animals in naturalistic, 'open' exhibits with hidden barriers, moats, and glass between the animals and visitors. It houses the largest captive colony of orangutans in the world. There are about 315 species of animal in the zoo, of which some 16 percent are considered to be threatened species. The zoo attracts over 2 million visitors every year. It is the world's first night zoo that allows visitors to observe nocturnal animals in a natural habitat.

Fantastic place for a wide variety of animals. Great biodiversity. Very child friendly place. Trams available. Many animals that you may not find elsewhere. The panda is not in the zoo but in the neighboring River wonders. Not many vegetarian Indian options at the eateries so Indian vegetarians to be prepared. Great experience, might be the best zoo I have ever been to. Loved the enclosures and diversity of animals in the park. It was also great to be able to get quite close up to some animals. The free shows on the park were also great, it is a good thing that they incorporate awareness for climate change into the show! All loos and areas are designed to suit needs of elderly and young children too.

The Singapore Zoo offers a captivating and immersive wildlife experience, making it a standout attraction for nature enthusiasts and families alike. Set amidst lush greenery, the zoo's open-concept design provides animals with spacious and naturalistic enclosures, promoting a more humane and enriching environment. One of the zoo's highlights is the diverse range of animal species it houses, from iconic lions and majestic elephants to rare and endangered species. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed to mimic the animals' native habitats, offering visitors a glimpse into their natural behaviors. The orangutan habitat, with its elevated boardwalks, is a particularly engaging and educational experience. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education is evident through its informative displays, interactive shows, and educational programs. The well-maintained facilities and amenities, including dining options and shaded areas, contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable visit. The staff members are knowledgeable and passionate, adding a personal touch to the overall experience. While the Singapore Zoo is a fantastic destination, it's worth noting that peak times can get crowded, affecting the pace of exploration. Nonetheless, the zoo's dedication to wildlife welfare, conservation, and education makes it a must-visit attraction for those seeking an enriching and memorable day surrounded by the wonders of the animal kingdom.

Amazing place with ample amount of wildlife and exotic creatures. It is very good place to visit with friends and family as it helps to make stronger bonds with them. Though it is quite busy at sometimes in the day, you still have the same amount of fun there. There are some food stalls open outside the entrance and not inside the zoo. So it is advised to eat first, then go inside.

Our experience at the day zoo was very enjoyable, we could see many animals up close. You can get really nice candid photos of them unlike some zoos overseas where animals are caged up. But make sure that you come prepared for walking & do plan your day proper. Start early, arrive as early as 8:30am if possible to have the complete experience. Scan the map at door. Make use of the tram to reduce some walking, book all the animal shows & performances. The Splash performance was really good. Staff were also helpful & friendly.

I heard the zoo is super popular here, so we chose to enter the park when it just opened in the very early morning. This is the best decision we made on the day. A world-class experience with few tourists there! The park is very well organized, not that big but can feel the cares to the tourists from many details. And also, this is the best place for kid education, teaching them how human beings' behaviors can change the worldlives. Definitely, the trip is worthy. BTW, as a photography and nature fan, no other places are better than a zoo!

Great zoo! It was hard for our kids to walk around and no strollers were available for rent. Highly recommend getting a bundle pass for all 3 locations beforehand! A lot of construction going on when we were there, but other than that, great zoo!

Most pleasant experience for my wife and I after many years not visiting the zoo. Was surprised that it was less humid to visit in the afternoon than morning. Was thankful for the shared walkways and many drinking water top-up points. Having the animals in their natural habitats is pleasing to the eyes compared to seeing them in cages. They were happy and going about their normal activities when we looked at them. Wonderful 👍

8/10 Here you will feel like in the jungle. The animals are really many and beautiful, but the size is not that big. I would say the zoo is Medium in size. But here you will feel like in real Malaysia, so I think it is a must see.

The zoo spans many hectares. There is so much to see and it is great value for money. We went to see the sloth in particular. There is a hop on/ hop off tram which makes getting around easier. There are refreshment stands spread throughout which helps in the heat.

Its a nice zoo, open and easy to walk around or take the tram. The kids area was quite nice with a water playground and farm animals that you could pet. You do come quite close to some of the animals are the zoo, but the big cats and other rare species so tend to be hard to see. I rekomend to hire a stroller if you have kids, the stroller can carry 2 kids with a load capacity of 35kg 20$

Tickets need to be booked online. There is a zoo app with map and show times that seems to work well on iOS but not so reliable on an Android phone. There are a lot of animals and it's a well maintained and clean zoo and the animals seem to be treated well. The shows are entertaining, informative and remind the audience of the need for recycling and reusing. The show times information is available on the app. The feeding times information is also available on this. Even if you don't book a feeding, do watch if possible. I enjoyed watching the chimpanzees and orangutans being fed. I'd highly recommend taking a walk in the fragile forest section as well. It's a big zoo and needs a lot of waking but tram options are available too. There are a few drinking water stations to refill bottles. There are automatic juicer machines too spread throughout the zoo. Ah meng cafe has good meal options.

By far the best zoo I have ever visited. The animals are less restricted and can move about a large area, sometimes even between enclosures should they choose. While still being safe, there is also less of a barrier between you and the animals, giving a greater experience and a respectful degree of personal interaction. Unlike what I have seen in other zoos, the animals seem at peace, and the enclosures are immaculate. There was no sense of overcrowding, and the interaction between animals was more natural and often playful. I especially enjoyed the short show they put on with lemurs, otters, and other small animals. The chunky little badgers were amusing, and the bird display at the end of the show was impressive. We were there for about 3.5hrs and I wish we could have stayed longer. I would have also really liked to have seen the night safari; maybe next time. Be sure to drink plenty of water as you walk around the park. It's Singapore, so you are going to get sweaty

Definitely a lovely zoo. It's a really nice zoo to visit at this time of year when it's not too hot. A major overhaul has been carried out and a new children's world has been introduced for kids. I enjoyed the fragile rainforest-like enclosure where I could get closer to the animals.

Really good zoo, extremely well designed, planned and covers a wide variety of wildlife. Also great to see wildlife in their natural habitats and surroundings. Weekends tend to be crowded, hence best to visit on a weekday if possible. Infrastructure and facilities are great - water taps, vending machines and washrooms every few hundred metres. Buy tram tickets online - can be bought online only and useful to navigate across extreme ends of the zoo

The Singapore Zoo is one of the best zoos I have visited in the world. The animals are kept in enclosures which are designed as of they are in a natural environment. Had a fabulous time at the zoo with a very knowledgeable guide for our Discovery tour. Caught most of the animal shows as well and participated in animal feedings as well as tortoise interaction. The Singapore Zoo is really a wonderful place for the young and old alike to get close to animals and learn more about them.

A place to visit if you like to see animals. The zoo is designed to have an open concept so you will see the animals living 'freely' rather than kept behind metal cages. The entire zoo has a kind of happy vibe going on and it's positivity shows in the animals as well. Also, info boards about the animals are available for those who are interested to know more. All in all, a good place to spend the day in Singapore.

My 1st visit after maybe more than 20 years. Wow the zoo has really transformed to a wonderful world class attraction. No wonder it's rated one of the top 10 zoos in the world. The creatures are in an open environment therefore able to roam in their environments respectively. You gotta see it to believe it. Getting there is so easy as well. Really cool place to spend the day with the family or your significant other. We spent three hours there and covered most of the zoo and saw all the major animal attractions. There are shade stations throughout the zoo but it is advisable to wear sunscreen and bring an umbrella. There are opportunities to feed the animals like rhinos, giraffes, and elephants but you have to book it early when you are booking your tickets.

(Translated by Google) I have been to this zoo twice and both times I was absolutely delighted! Very competent location of aviaries. A huge variety of exotic animals, an interesting excursion on typewriters. It helps a lot not to get tired, the zoo is big. And in the heat it is not a fact that you will have time to see everything on foot. The environment itself is as close to natural as possible. Visually, it feels like a predator is next to you, but in fact we are separated by several meters in height and a moat with energized water. It seems that you are right in the aviary with a tiger or a lion, but completely safe. Orangutans were especially pleased with the opportunity to dine with them. 👍👍👍👍👍 I liked the aviary with birds and lemurs very much. One minus, a polar bear. This is not his habitat.

Amazing place to spend half day for kids. Lots of ground to cover, many wonderful shows, hundreds of beautiful and exotic animals from several continents. Most of the enclosures are huge for the animals and birds to roam around. Reptile garden has huge collection of reptiles and the show of feeding large snakes seems to be a huge hit. Live feeding to large animals of prey is another crowd puller. Shows including Orangutan, elephants, sea lions, are also very popular and it is witnessed in the crowds and the giggling and laughter sounds during the shows. Taking pictures with parakeets and Sea lion etc is charged but serves a lifetime memory. If you are in Singapore, have half day with kids, don't miss it.

2021 update: While it's heartening to know that the Singapore zoo tries its best on #conservation efforts, the variety of animals and its population count is not spectacular. For example, during my visit, I could only spot 2 crocodiles and some enclosures were closed. The animal shows are fantastic and you can learn so much on how the zoo helps animals thrive and supports conservation. In any case, it's a great place for a nice stroll with the family and enrich children's experiences with animals up close. Also, there are plenty of kid-friendly theme parks and playgrounds around to keep the little ones busy and happy.

Amazing! the best Zoo I have ever visited! So many animals, the layout of the parks are designed fabulously! There are four parks in total, Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari and birds park. The first three parks are all located in the same area! The biggest park is the Singapore zoo and you can spend one day just on that park, however, We managed to finish all 3 parks in a full day! Staring from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm. They are huge with lots of different wild animals. The birds park is located somewhere else and you need to take a transport to get there. The Night Safari, has two routes one with Safari and one you just take a walk which you will see different animals in each route. The panda is located in River Wonders park. I would highly recommend visiting all parks if you are a visitor like me!

We had a fun day here. Lots to walk and lots to see. Spent close to 6 hours here with an hours lunch break. We still have a lot more to cover, so the time taken around to cover the whole area will be relative. Regardless, here are some pointers that might be helpful for you visit. 1. Book online 2. Strollers/wagon/mobility vehicles can be hired 3. Lots of eateries around, but do plan your lunch break to escape the crowd. 4. Lots of food options available for adults and kids. 5. Having a water bottle to refill is great tip, I learnt from the review and I vouch for it too. 6. Don't combine your trip with river wonders, book on separate days. Wish we knew it before, it was exhausting after a whole day in the zoo. 7. Please be warned that getting a taxi ride from the zoo at the end of the day wasn't easy for us. We've heard that's the case on many days, be prepared for that.

Went there for the first time last weekend. I enjoyed the sight of the zoo animals as well as the long walks. For small children, carts can be rented for them to enjoy. While in there we saw tiny monkeys cross the other side. The fishes were relaxing to the eyes. The animals during the shows were a joy to watch, too. Unfortunately many of the animals were not present. Not even the white tiger appeared. When you go on a break, there are many choices of places to eat, water refilling stations are available at many corners, too. Souvenir shops are open for your shirt or plush toys and other things you want to bring home (for a fee, of course :)). Just some tips: bring a hat or a cap as it can be too hot or sometimes drizzle; a reusable bottle - so you could refill at the stations, a portable fan and some clothes to change into. The experience was fun, perhaps there could be more in the future.

Nice place to visit and check out the various animals up close. The whole place isn't very big, we finished it in half a day. There's a tram that stops at 4 stops. Some of the nicer animals include the leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, chimpanzee, bats, insects and reptiles. The tigers and lions were too far away to see clearly. It's a good place to spend half a day. Obviously, it's best to visit on a weekday and not during the school holidays.

This zoo is one of the best in the world, and has a feeling of strolling through a tropical jungle and seeing animals in their natural environment. There are almost no fences, the variety of animals is amazing, having a focus on a lot of rare and endangered species. The orangutan being a major drawcard, and they don't dissapoint. Very special place.

Wonderful zoo without bars. You can view the animals so closely. Rained constantly while we were there, but most of the paths have cover or places to wait while the rain pasess. Lots of opportunities to interact with staff. Lots of places to eat or buy snacks and drinks. My only criticism is there is no water for sale, only soft drinks and juices.

Got to feed Growy the giraffe - made my visit as this is what I specifically came to do. Typical Singaporean perfection with attention to standards lacking in most zoo's around the world. Animals are kept in top notch enclosures and seem genuinely happy to people watch. Its like we humans are they're zoo. The animals were very interested in us at almost every exhibit. This is a sure sign of there contentment.

The Singapore Zoo, formerly known as the Singapore Zoological Gardens or Mandai Zoo, occupies 28 hectares (69 acres) on the margins of Upper Seletar Reservoir within Singapore's heavily forested central catchment area. The zoo was built at a cost of $9 million granted by the government of Singapore and opened on 27 June 1973. It is operated by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, who also manage the neighbouring Night Safari, River Safari and the Jurong Bird Park. There are about 315 species of animal in the zoo, of which some 16 percent are considered to be threatened species. The zoo attracts over 2 million visitors every year

Its worth visiting this zoo. Animals here are well taken care off. The enclosures and the area around them are really clean. Once you enter the zoo, an enclosure with few species of penguins are worth watching. Also the scientists and zoo keepers have a room where their eggs are hatched in an incubator and controlled environment.

Haven’t been to the zoo for many years and it is good to see the animals very well taken care. Their beautiful coat of fur or feathers and being so comfortable in their habitat are things that I am so glad the zoo maintain for the animals. Managed to see the white tiger active which was the highlight for me.

The private buggy tour is recommended where you get to see and touch some reptiles and snakes. You also get to go into the tortoise enclosure and touch them. Lastly, you get priority queue to feed the giraffes as well. Our guides Sean and Bridgette were great!

My family and I visited it recently, it was a great experience! We had booked animal feeding, and the staff were soo helpful, accommodating, and pleasant. I recommend to get a tram tickets if you have a toddler or an infant or you are not a fan of walking, its really helpful specially when your child is tired. Also I'd recommend that you watch out for the weather, as it has a large factor on the trip.

Singapore Zoo is the must go place no matter you are tourist or local Singaporean. A lot of construction around the zoo area, even the zoo entrance is renovating now. There are still plenty to see inside the zoo, like the lion, giraffe. When we were there few weeks ago, one of the show was close (Animal friends show), but other shows are still great. The queue for the show is long and should go 20-30 mins earlier in order to get a seat as the number of audience is restricted due to COVID. There are quite a number of wild monkeys inside the zoo and trying to get food from the rubbish bin when I visited. The staff should better find some ways to get rid of those wild monkeys for better visitor experience.

best zoo I have even been to. The absence of cage and well designed moat around most enclosures allows us with unobstructed view of the animals in their natural habitat, albeit man made. The animals looked comfortable and well fed. The grouping of the enclosure and the pathway leading to them make for a joyful trip of discovering. The wordings are just sufficient to introduce the important points about the animals. Staff are helpful and happy. A great 3 hours trip. In terms of refreshment, lots of drink vending machine can be found with small food kiosk and a food court. Oh, there’s also a KFC at the end of the zoo before you turned back and head to the entrance/exit.

Great place to take young kids to. There is a wide variety of animals, birds and trees. Walking along the zoo, with it's almost mini forest like walking trails makes you feel closer to nature. Although a zoo is never an actual natural forest, but Singapore zoo feels almost like a Safari park.

My 60 years old mum had never gone to a zoo before, and it is safe to say that she had the best of her time there since the pandemic started! This was my 2nd time coming here this year and I still had blast. The little boat ride is so underrated but it was so much fun, and do remember you can always ask for a 2nd round :) The entire park is very well maintained, clean, and the animals are taken care with love. Food pricing is reasonable, and the amenities are pretty well spread out for convenience. Don't miss the shows! You have to come in early and book a spot 90 minutes before the show starts so plan your journey well.

It's a good thing to go on a weekday now and you should go for the earliest slot of 8am if possible. It's really serene and tranquil at that hour. Makes it really good for children to explore without the crowd until 11am like that. So that's a good 3 hours of exploration in the zoo without the crowd. Also there's a new animal playground show coming soon, where Inuka the polar bear exhibition was. It says coming soon, but no news when it's starting. The place is fully done up and accessible for public to see and sit though.

First time back at the zoo in over 20 years, and loved it! I remember it to be fun before, but it's even better now. The enclosures are well designed, and it definitely makes you feel like you're in a safari. Beautiful scenery with lots of wild life. What an experience! The entire place is well planned to have plenty of rest stops along the way, and the water dispensers distributed throughout the zoo makes sure that you won't go thirsty. The only downside is that the shows are extremely difficult to book. They open for booking 2 hours before showtime, but get booked up within a minute, so be sure to get everybody in the family ready to book the second it opens.

Great day out. The place is not crowded during mid week, perhaps because with an over casted sky. A day ticket for an Adult on the tram S$5, various pickup and drop off points which is close to the various attractions. Helpful staff offered to load and unload child buggy. Highlights of our visit got to be the shows which will require booking in advance. Unfortunately not all exhibits are open. It would be nice to watch the tigers & lions at feeding time.

It was such an amazing zoo. The best zoo I have ever been. Thus, I checked its online ranking. It is selected amongst top 5 zoos in the world. The animals feel like they are in nature. It is so big that by rushing I could have walked all area in 3 hours but I could have spent more time. Still I did not do other two attractions night life safari and sea world. And imagine, they are expanding the area. So it will get bigger. That is why spending 55 sgd did not hurt me. It is worth it. It is such an amazing facility.

A great contrast to the city. The zoo has some enclosures which are smaller than you'd like, but others that are great as over time it changes and improves. I guess I'd give it a 4.5* Despite it saying that you have to buy tickets online, if you cannot, then you should be able to buy 'Extra Tickets' from a machine or a person beside the entrance.

Singapore Zoo is truly a remarkable place that offers an exceptional wildlife experience. During my visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the zoo's commitment to animal conservation and welfare. The enclosures are spacious and designed to mimic the natural habitats of the animals, allowing them to roam and thrive in a setting that closely resembles their native environments. One of the standout features of the zoo is the extensive variety of animals it houses, from majestic lions and tigers to playful primates and exotic birds. The zoo's educational programs and interactive exhibits provide visitors with valuable insights into the importance of wildlife conservation and the efforts being made to protect endangered species. The zoo's staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their work, readily sharing information about the animals and their conservation efforts. The animal shows and feeding sessions are not only entertaining but also serve as opportunities to learn more about these incredible creatures. Furthermore, Singapore Zoo's lush and beautifully landscaped grounds make for a pleasant and immersive experience. It's evident that great care has been taken to create an environment that is not only enjoyable for visitors but also conducive to the well-being of the animals. In terms of facilities, the zoo offers a range of dining options, making it easy to enjoy a meal while taking in the scenic surroundings. Additionally, the gift shops provide an opportunity to purchase souvenirs that support wildlife conservation efforts. Overall, Singapore Zoo is a world-class attraction that combines entertainment with education and conservation. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the natural world and a place where you can appreciate the beauty and importance of our planet's diverse wildlife.

Huge zoo with beautiful open habitats (except for obvious safety measures), gorgeous leafy landscaping, and strong conservation messaging. Definitely book in advance especially for animal feedings as these book out fast. Our animal experiences were a nice balance of getting to interact with the animal while keepers still monitored for safety and wellbeing. Guest facilities are clean and accessible, including some of the most beautiful restrooms I’ve ever seen. Plan to spend at least a full day here - we did the Zoo and River Wonders in the same day and didn’t quite make it to all the exhibits.

Got the good deals 30% discount on ticket from Mandai website. They have good system where we can see the animals nearly. The new established playground Kidz World did bring lots of joy to the kiddos. Also, complimentary tram ride is provided, it’s really convenient for parents who are bringing the young children for sightseeing within the zoo. I would like to special highlight to the excellent service from the rental service department. Thanks for the great service from the staff Eletsya, she offered me to put my luggage in the dept and offered me to charge my phone, even though it’s almost the closure hour, she was so helpful l so that I could get my transportation back to the hotel. It's tough to appreciate the zoo that we have here in Singapore until you have been to the zoos in other places. Not that the zoos elsewhere are worse off but it's probably we really dedicate very substantial resources to upkeep and rejuvenate our zoo to a "touristy" standard that justifies the high ticket costs. :) Huge enclosures with a variety of species. And many f&b places, although seats are usually hard to come by during lunch hours.

My kids loved here as seeing animals which is different from what they seen in our hometown. It was rainy day, so thought about buying a raincoat, but it rained back and forth, we were okay with umbrella only. Arrived through grab. But you can use shuttle with $1. Bad weather didn’t matter to see the animals. But we couldn’t see lion, leopard, cheetah etc even before 6pm as it was close to 6pm, closing time. Shop opens after 6pm so you can still buy souvenir. We ate KFC in Kids ranger area, and had to spend 30min to order, so consider the time to eat to avoid crowded time zone. Zinger burger was all sold out and the price is higher than normal KFC outside of zoo. There are bird paradise, river wonder, night safari together, so might consider visiting 2 places one day. It took 4hr including eating burgers to look around Singapore zoo.

One bright spot during the Covid-19 outbreak is the lack of crowding at popular attractions. We booked a mid-afternoon start time (caution: the Zoo closes at 6 p.m.) and risked getting rained on. On a Tuesday afternoon, we never had more than five people within view (sole exception: Reptile House). The animals were less spooky, with the highlight being two giraffes which walked up to within five meters of my son. It was a great viewing experience. Not everything is great, however. The tram doesn't run, so wear comfortable shoes. Almost all F&B outlets are closed, too, so drink water before you enter (or carry it with you). About 5% of the exhibits/animals enclosures are under renovation and the animals aren't on display. But none of those drawbacks detracted from an overall great experience

The Zoo itself was very good. Animal enclosures seemed humaine and there was no indication of mistreatment... It was well designed and layed out. Out baby especially enjoyed the butterfly enclosure and white lions. The biggest disappointment/frustration of the day was trying to leave. The park closes at 6 so everyone was leaving around the same time - they've made no arrangements for taxis for the masses. There were about 60 people waiting for taxis to leave. All families because we can't always simply get a Grab etc.... In the 40 minutes we waited not a single unbooked cab arrived. Only booked. Everyone had to send for themselves and try to book - which was near impossible and when it finally did work, very expensive... It took us 45 mins to just get on the road to leave the Zoo. With a 9 month old at bed time... far from ideal. It ruined our entire experience. They should have some kind of arrangement with the taxi company - I'm sure this is not the first time it's happened...

Pretty upset as are a few animal enclosures closed due to upgrading or repairs today(08.08.20). Maybe not my luck to see all the majestic animals. My daughters are quite upset but nevertheless. From my past visits, the SG mandai zoo never fail to impress me and my family.

Love the animal feedings but please remember to purchase online first! Limited slots so book early. You can book tram tickets online also. Hassle free booking and entry to the Zoo. Some animal shows are still available but on a first come first serve basis because of social distancing measures so plan your visit in advance.

  • 4/5 Eunice F. 3 years ago on Google
If you’re looking to take a trip down memory lane, this is the place for you. Everything is exactly as it was a decade ago. Basically it’s your average zoo with animals. Because of COVID, all the shows have reduced capacity and hence I’d advise to queue up at least 50 minutes in advance to secure a seat. We were quite sad to have not had the time to enjoy all the sections as the animals were herded back and kept in their indoor enclosures at 5.30pm.

  • 5/5 Baby KookaBura C. 3 years ago on Google
Timely is of importance to enjoy the trip without queues. Important to schedule your trip in the morning to enjoy the live shows and also animal feedings. Fresh air in some areas especially the amazons settings. Love the cool weather as well in the rainforest setup.

Brought my son for his first time visit to the zoo. As of 4th dec, KFC was under reno and there were not much Halal food options. If I'm not wrong I only saw Ah Meng Bistro being Halal-certified. Recommended to bring your own foods and drinks! And carpark parking from 1030am to 430pm was $10 - so be prepared to top up your cashcard. 😂 And please wear comfortable clothes and comfortable/sport shoes as you'll be doing a bit of walking.

The Singapore Zoological Gardens is probably one of the best zoo in the world. It is open daily from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm. You can watch meow than 2000+ animals and for feeding time, you may refer to the website. Suggest to wear hats and bring along sun block as well as mosqito repellent for those whom are prone to mosquito bite. Suggest to bring along portable fan as the temperature is between 26 - 30 degree.

I've been to many zoos in so many countries but Singapore zoo takes the first spot in my opinion. Its well maintained and properly laid out but its not possible to explore every nook and cranny of this vast place in one go. Your legs will run out of energy but the zoo won't end. Visiting it in summer heat will definitely limit your chances of seeing all the animals as most will be hiding in shelter (just like you'll be looking for one) And then there's a night safari that I have yet to see.

What can I say, we watch the animals, the animals watch us - a good experiment in inter species observation. Went on a cooling day and explored for six hours with a lunch break without being too fatigued, but if the lions broke loose and it really came down to it I’ll let them have the kids. Fair word of advice: don’t do stupid TikTok videos in the enclosures if you’re born after the millennium and have that kind of inexplicable urges, at least come prepared with better video recording equipment.

Same feeling as always visiting the Singapore Zoo 😊. Clean, neat park with variety of animals who goof around showing their antics. The animals are also in good condition. 22 Dec 20’ My family was zoo member in the late 80’s, our children enjoyed seeing wild animals & the shows very much. As a local, I have not been here since I was a child and this visit brought back many memories with my family! I have since visited some of South East Asia's conservatories and zoos and I must say KUDOS to WRS for such an amazing upkeep of the park and care for the welfare of the animals. They are in great condition and the park allowed many up-close animal encounters which were unforgettable :') Thank you for quenching my wanderlust and making me feel like I visited Africa, Australia and Asia all in one day! Highly recommend for tourists visiting Singapore to set aside a full day here! (so good that even locals should visit!!) Super worth it!

  • 4/5 Julia C. 3 years ago on Google
Because of the limited audience allowed for the live performances, my family , including the kids were able to catch one show only and that was a 30mins queue as well. Some seniors like me prefer hard copy of the map for better search. The digital map on hp is difficult to locate the places/ animals we like to see. Please reinstate the hard copies or have some reserves for seniors or those for some reasons need it.

Been in love with Singapore Zoo since I first stepped into it. The cageless style zoo was really a new concept back in the 2000s. Recently, I went back with the kids and was pleasantly surprised on how well the zoo managed the crowd during the pandemic so that everyone could have fun while being socially distanced. First off, this holiday, they introduced special Mickey/Minnie event for kids. Complete the mission and exchange the card with an animal keychain. Q-ing for the card was fast, many zoo employees were around to facilitate the q, tapes on the floor to denote the safe distance between patrons and definitely everyone's wearing masks. To reduce crowding, visitors have to book their visiting slot in advance. When we entered the kids' area, we also found out that feeding session for the goats were also to be booked online. Too bad we didn't research well before going. But the kids weren't disappointed because they also could join other activity in the area (it was floating bubble activity when we went). Expect long q for shows (Rainforest show) since there's limit on number of people allowed. We decided to skip on the shows since the kids wouldn't want to stand and wait around under the sun. If you would like to save time and place (and to avoid crowd in the eateries), pack your own lunch and eat at open areas and benches spread around the zoo. While everyone was masked and all, we would rather avoid crowding by packing our own lunch. Overall we had fun at the zoo. Just ensure you have umbrella ready since it has been rainy recently. Have fun!

Good for all age ;). Plan your visit ahead and pack lots of food and drinks if you like to spend full day here . Can be very annoying with kids, if you don't take strollers. You get it here on rental basis too. Membership is best way to enjoy the Singapore zoo economically and year around .

  • 3/5 Kelvin W. 3 years ago on Google
The last time I come to zoo is about 10 yrs ago. Animals still the same. Only change is the price keep increasing. Not worth it for locals coming here. The subsidy for locals here is not that much, should have given more for citizen. Don't think I will come back to the 4 parks again only another 10 years time. Going there during this covid period is not that crowded but many shops closed and shows are limited. Limited seat for the show too and have to queue 1hrs before the show to get seating. Show still similar 10 years ago, not worth the queue.

  • 5/5 Metta S. 3 years ago on Google

An absolute must visit. This is possibly one of the best zoos in the world that I’ve seen. There is an incredibly large assortment of animals to see (some up close), plenty of quality shows, interactive encounters and more. Sounds like I’m writing an ad for the zoo but seriously - if you’re in Singapore and you’ve never been then you must give it a shot.

Singapore zoo is a once in a lifetime experience. With live shows and interactive experiences this is one of the best times I've had. You have the bird show, then the elephant show and you can actually feed the tiger cubs there. There are various open enclosures for the animals. And it has many facilities like spic and span washrooms and a separate area to eat. There are individual recreational spaces for kids to. If you are an animal lover, you will have a gala time here.

If you are lucky the animals will be awake. Went today and about 50% were asleep. The main attractions are the elephants and the white tigers. The aviary was also quite amazing with its variety of birds, and the malayan flying fox and the sloths

  • 5/5 Donald D. 3 years ago on Google
The Singapore zoo is surreal these days. Hardly anyone there on a weekday. This means you get to see lots of amazing animal behaviours. The turtles were digging holes to lay eggs. The birds were out and social. Many of the penguins really seriously miss people, and some were staring at every human face they could find. And you can see it all very easily and peacefully.

A must visit place where you can meet all animals free from cage and feed them according to the given timings. There is a feeding time for each animal and if you wish you can reach that time to the particular animal and feed. It is good if you find time to enjoy night safari too. All types of animals are there in a big area. May take one full day to enjoy properly.

  • 5/5 Guy A. 3 years ago on Google

It was alright. I was there with my kid and thought we'd check out the kid's section thingamajig. It was cute but the staff at the goat section was unfriendly. I mean the place is meant for kids and kids do not like to be restricted. If you only want ppl who can take instructions to enter the place, then say so? Maybe 7years and older or wtv. Can't blame curious children who want to have a closer look or innocently pet/feed a goat or pony. Bleh. Otherwise the zoo is a good place to burn out active kids.

Visited the zoo on 31st Jan 2021. The zoo was undergoing alot of renovations and refurbishment. The place was already rundown and a mess. It makes no sense that they are charging top dollars and you only get to see some of the animals as most enclosured are closed due to Covid/renovations. They should just close the park and only open when all renovations are completed. FELT like I was ripped off as the price and sights are not on PAR. For a Singaporean, I felt cheated. One star is for the friendly and helpful staffs who are always smiling and happy. While one more is for the way they handled the SDM protocols. Stars missing are for the hefty price not on par with the zoo standards, the rundown feel and lack of proper regular food for visitors. THE FOOD were TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ThE QUALITY AND QUANTiTy.

(Translated by Google) Night shows are hard to see. The park opens at 18:30 and the earliest reservation is 19:15. I went there at the same time as the reservation, but the night show was already full, and the next one and a half hours later, I couldn't make a reservation, so please line up. If you do not line up one hour before, the seats will be full and the deadline will be closed. People in the family who are not in line cannot enter. Why can't I watch the night show even though I went to the reserved time? It is a waste of effort to explain the staff one by one. If so, why not make a reservation for the night show in advance? I would love to give it 5 stars but because of covid 19, the queues to restaurant have been really bad. Queue time about an hour and I came in with toddler, there is no priority of any sorts. They could have add more friendly booth that sell on the go food like drinks with sandwiches. I would have brought in my own food if I knew in advance. Otherwise the attraction are still top notch with many animal to watch and learn. Definitely one of the best zoo for many years.

Here to share my experience overall attending an afternoon session. The blistering sun was not actually much of an issue with tons of shades around even when walking. You'd have to remember to book the feeding of animals online prior to your day of visit. This wasn't told to me (at least not from the e-tickets I received). If you're lucky, you may get a slot on the spot but the chances are really slim. The giraffe and elephant feedings are the most popular. If you're into shows, there are currently 2 running and you can register on the day itself 60 or 90 minutes before the show starts via a QR code there. I'm not sure about the morning slot, but when I head over in the noon, a lot of the animals are not seen. They are either hiding somewhere in the shade far back of the enclosure or sleeping. Probably food coma or something, idk. So, if seeing of animals is of utmost importance, consider going in the morning. You may have a higher chance. There are not much food choices, so take note of this. Some of them are not even open. The staff here are perpetually helpful, so that was a really nice touch! They are very on the ball about safe distancing guidelines, which I appreciate. Lastly, I went on a weekday noon and I saw less than 100 unique visitors throughout my whole visit. I'd consider this a plus point for me. One of the guides told me that mornings are always more packed.

Great experience to see the orangutans feeding at around 3pm. Good that the weather was cloudy as there are limited shelters along the way if walking. Efficient and well kept zoo for past many years, night safari is a good add on for nocturnal animals, with the fav tram ride that brings you around. Staff and animal guardians are always very friendly and considerate. Will be great if they can perhaps replace old pulling wagons for kids to be more comfortable in.

Had a day out at the zoo. There's a direct bus $1 from khatib mrt. Convenient. Quite a few sites are under maintenance, but generally still an eyeful. You can choose to cover the park by foot, or tram ($5) or rent a cool bike at a cost. There's shades from the trees in most area, so the sun doesn't really bother. And there's also small air conditioned hut that explains the flora/fauna , species etc is different part of the park. Resting area also easily found everywhere. Food choice is pretty standard like in any tourist attraction, nothing much to applaud or complain. General a good choice for a family day out!

In Jan 2021 - March 2021, I had visited Singapore Zoo several times. There were large qty of small flying insects gathering and flying together as a group in elephant areas, going into the hut. After I didn't go to the Singapore Zoo anymore, I was also disturbed by some of your india working staff in Singapore Zoo in public areas, eg in Lorong Ah Soon HDB flats, shouting loudly and stalking me to visit Singapore Zoo. I had bought online tickets to visit 4 animals' parks in October 2021, so please make sure that these elephant areas are free of flying insects.

I have taken my daughter and my niece to visit Singapore Zoo. We went during school holiday so it was packed. We have decided to go on same day, although it will be better if you can book your trip ahead. This will give you oppertunity to book additional activities such as feeding animals. Since we booked it 1 hr ago so we missed out of these activities as they are already sold out. We have still enjoyed the trip, we have taken the tram ride, but we have hop off at every station. You can rent a push cart from Singapore Zoo for kids as well, which will make it a bit easier to move around. Tip: it is a lot of walk inside so you better come prepared. Water is a bit expensive so you can carry from home as well, if you want. There are restaurants available inside Singapore Zoo as well, they do serve Halal food. It is a unique experience to see the animals so close and in open, my daughter and niece are very excited. African enclosure of animals has Rhinoceros, Zebra, Giraffe, Lion and Tiger. They are kept in a good health. On Asia side, we do have elephants, you can sit and watch them for a while. I enjoyed the butterfly enclosure as well, my daughter was very happy to see these butterflies. They are so many and so beautiful. We are not able to see white tiger and Australasia section as we have become tired, but it was a good experience. The ticket cost us aroud 110 for 2 adjusts and 1 kid along with tram ride. My daughter is under 3 so no ticket for her. It is a good place to be with kids, if you are in Singapore it is one of the places to visit.

Overall, a very nice place to visit (not on a weekends / school holidays though) My friend and I were amazed by the mobility scooter that was going off at a very reasonable pricing. Do check it out if you are feeling lazy to walk around. The staffs were rather friendly and polite. Thank you for your hospitality for your visitors! However, some downsides would be the seating availability of the shows were rather limited (the form only opens 90 mins before the show starts. E.g. 1000am show. form will be open at 830am) Do scan the QR code in front of the venue to reserve your slots quickly as it runs out fast. Another downside will be the amount of people who visits the park. My friend and I went in at 830am, however it was very crowded (not what I expected on a Friday). Therefore there was a long queue for the tram and F&B establishments. Overall, we were very thankful for the hospitality provided by all the staffs. Thank you ! Visited on 3rd Sept 2021

Honest.R : Although it was raining when I went, the experience was still good as it wasn't too hot, the cool rain & wind made it not too tiring. 😁 Although, there were some slight disappointments, no shows/performances, no polar bears perhaps due to covid situation. Hope all these can come back soon. Paid a price of 35 - 40sgd + a 10sgd for the tour train. Can't say that we weren't abit disappointed. Overall, the experience was A-O-Kay. 👍😁

Convenient tram around the zoo, animals look healthy. Tigers, lions, rhinos and other african animals are the most interesting in my opinion. Butterfly zone is quite entertaining too. White tiger never appeared. A myth? The only trouble is to get out back to the city.

Love the way they dressed up the place with lights as well as the interactive light shows that kids will love. Favourite part of this has got to be the lighted forest walk where they projected lights all over to simulate fire flies. Do pile on insect repellant if you get bitten easily though, as the mosquitoes there are relentless.

For those who like to cycle to The Zoo, you can park your bicycle at a bicycle lot before River Safari entrance. Just ask the friendly security and they will show you. Do get a nice chilled drink at Starbuckz. They have a very nice view.

2021-Oct enjoyed my visit to the zoo. Most of the animal exhibits were open pen natural habitat style. A few were not but maybe this will be changing as there is significant renovations ongoing. Also due to Covid there r no show performances & the Rainforest Kids world area is only partially open. I really enjoyed the Fragile Forest exhibit with butterflies, various birds, mouse deer, etc. And first time to see Tree Kangaroo's. When the renovations r completed I definitely want to go back and I expect a 5 star experience!!!

  • 4/5 Pak Soon L. 2 years ago on Google
Still a great place to spend a leisure day but the zoo is looking its age and in need of a major renovation. The pandemic restrictions also made the experience less exciting as most visitors that made the trip were shut out of the animal shows which allow only 50 persons attending each time. Hope to see the crowd returning and the zoo rejuvenated.

  • 4/5 Jaron C. 2 years ago on Google
A great place to visit for both adults and children. The animals there are cute and fluffy. There is a reptile section, and a butterfly enclosure where you may walk in and experience butterflies flying around you! However, there were quite a few exhibits that were under maintenance when I visited. The sun bear was also nowhere to be seen. Will be great if the zoo can list down the sites that are closed for maintenance on its website to allow visitors to understand what exhibits will not be available before visiting.

Expect to spend 3-4 hours here. My favorite parts were the apiary where you can get up close to butterflies, bat's and birds. The plant landscaping of this place is also well done, simulating the rainforest cool weather.

Went to zoo countless of times and never got bored of it as the zoo. I gave 4 stars because the online booking for the shows is such a dissapointment. Prefer the old method where patrons will book the shows when the patrons arrive at the show location to book. The current online booking slot open 2 hours before the show time . The booking only allows either 2 adult or 1 adult and 1 child. The slot will full immensely less than 15 seconds , Gosh..

A pleasant getaway to the wild to observe multitudes of animals that roam quite freely compared to other zoos I've been. Especially in the butterfly and bird gardens, butterflies fly around you to the extent that you have to be careful not to touch them. Also, the animals are more active and you should definitely ( I mean it) visit all the shows they're having. You just have to book a timeslot from their site and OMG I couldn't believe those were free to watch! So loved the show with the cute sea lion. Definitely would visit again.

Sungapore Zoo is located at Mandai in Singapore has has good connectivity via road and MRT. Cabs are preferred way to travel after a good long walk at the zoo. The zoo itself is divided in multiple attractions sections each with its own entry tickets. The Singapore zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari are some of the main attractions. River Wonders is the place to go if you want to see the top notch attraction of the zoo - The Panda 🐼. There are few promo offers running around the year to club multiple visit.

There’s a lot of construction works on going around the zoo now. So it’s a bit confusing for drivers but it’s actually convenient to take a public bus from choa chu kang bus interchange which is just by the CCK MRT station. Now there’s no counter at the zoo to buy tickets due to covid restrictions but the staff were helpful to assist us on the spot to buy tickets. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although there was a Q to enter, it was cleared very fast. The exhibits were very well designed and it feels like a safari park instead of a zoo. The animals seemed “free” in their enclosures and not caged. You can feel close to the animals. It was interesting. But due to covid, many of the activities are by booking and no Q such as the animal feeding or shows. It’s a bit of a downer as it’s all outdoors and should be able to accommodate more people. I wish there would be more zoo staff to help guide and earn some errant guests. Some of the adult and child guests were blatantly touching the butterflies despite the big signs not to touch them at the butterfly enclosure. The poor lady staff there was overwhelmed and couldn’t do much to stop these poorly behaved guests. There are some dining options there like food court , restaurants and cafes. But the park is very big so it’s best to bring some snacks and drinks with you. We also found a picnic spot and it’s quite nice facing the lake. Although it can be quite sunny and warm, the zoo was designed with my shady spots so it didn’t feel too much like a chore trudging under the Sun. Overall quite a refreshing activity in the city island. Can be very crowded in the school holidays. Be prepared to rush with the crowds then.

Ok, I'm torn... On one hand I LOVE THE SG ZOO, but on the other hand, It was so much worse then the last time I visited 2020 pre-covid So much construction, missing animals, and shows were changed for the worse. Can I blame covid?! Or is it just all the renovations? Either way, I was a bit disappointed this time round. Wish they had better signage for enclosures that had no animals inside. Not just let me spend 10min on each pen to look around just to find out its empty. I hope by the time all the renovations are done, and covid does down, the zoo is 1000% better. Much love from Canada, tks for another friendly visit! Ps: Staff are always 1000% awesome, you guys rock!

  • 4/5 Jordan N. 2 years ago on Google
Generally good, but some signs and attractions look a little dated. Certain enclosures seem rather small for the animals too.

  • 4/5 Rizwana 2 years ago on Google
Shows were average, thought there would be more but probably due to COVID restrictions. Feeding time is the perfect time to see the creatures come out. I enjoyed the experience though. Favourite area was the Fragile Forest. I feel that River Wonders has better quality but Zoo has the quantity. Long queues at dining areas. Went during school holidays so I guess it was expected. Good for kids more than adults. Took about 4 hours to explore everything, inclusive of 1 hour lunch. Better to get like a package with River Wonders and/or Jurong Bird Park. Also very accessible with shuttle buses from certain MRT stations.

Michelin 3-star attraction. A must - go for tourist and local residents. Together with the River Wonders and Night Safari, Singapore Zoo definitely is one of the world's best rainforest zoo to visit. Don't forget to visit Le Le, our baby Panda, at the River Wonders.

Great zoo. Lots of different animal types and attractions a little hard to navigate using a map and the signage is a little bit confusing. Also I felt like a lot of the enclosures were closed and not clearly marked. Other than that nice time walking around and looking at all the different environments.

Fantastic place to visit with kids. They have several eateries so no need to pack any food. The animals exhibit seem so close to you especially the lions and tigers it’s scary and exciting. Enjoyed our time at Singapore Zoo. We were impressed by how often the animals could be seen out in the open without glass or other artificial barriers blocking the view. This made it much easier to take pictures. We did have to be careful not to step on any of the lizards in one of the walk-in enclosures, but we were all very careful. A nice zoo with a surprising number of active and engaged animals on the day of our visit.

Very quick entry no queues at all, you have to purchase your tickets online which is annoying if you like to pay by cash. the taxi drop of point is about 5 minutes walk away. There is occasional cover from the sun and heat, they have put fans around the whole work and some air conditioning in places. The food area was very disappointing as 70% of the items where sold out at 2.30pm. The animals seem to be very well looked after and the enclosures where well maintained. Beware there is wild monkeys which can take food from your hands and pushchairs.

Singapore Zoo is definitely one of my favourite places to be. There is just so much to see, learn and enjoy. But during the time of my visit, there seem to be a lot of ongoing upgrading and renovations being done to the place, so I believe some of the animals were not able to be put up on display at the zoo. Apart from that, the animal presentations were a blast, the trainers really brought out the best of the animals they’re handling. I will never ever forget Pedro the sea lion. I will return once more in the future and am so looking forward to see the zoo get even better!

Fantastic place for a wide variety of animals. Great biodiversity. Very child friendly place. Trams available. Many animals that you may not find elswhere. All loos and areas are designed to suit needs of elderly and young children too.

It's not a huge zoo compared to San Diego. But this is not a tiring experience. Lots of animals are free to roam around. Highlights for me were orangutans and white Tiger. Clean, walk ways where you can shelter from showers. Sea lion Pedro entertains kids and adults alike.

A large, well set out zoo with plenty of interesting displays. It is easy to catch the train although the signs for the connecting bus are a little hard to see. Once there, take a moment to get a map and plan your route as the pathways are a little confusing. I suggest going anti-clockwise. We really enjoyed the African section and the rainforest display. It will take most of the day to see everything and lunch at the cafe is recommended.

It's a one time watch. Most of the animals are covered in the zoo. Kids would enjoy the time here. Crocodile, Hippo, Lion, hyena, orangután, 🦒, Tiger etc , There is a tram available and it keeps hopping between multiple places in the zoo, one can hop in hop out and explore the place. Food items, restaurants available, but bit costly. One can carry their own food and no restrictions on it. For only zoo 2-3 Hrs is enough and buses are available from the zoo entrance to city and the frequency is good.

My boy is 2 years old, you can rent the cart from the zoo (near the entrance after entering) and pull him along, which he can also rest inside after running around. Our visit to the Singapore Zoo after over 2 years was a memorable experience, especially for my 7-year-old daughter. She was enthralled by the reptiles, African dogs, and the opportunity to feed zebras. Although the lions and tigers were napping due to the hot weather, it was understandable. Booking feeding tickets in advance is advisable. What stood out was the charming Bunny House, where she could interact with and touch adorable bunnies. The adventure rope activity added an extra layer of fun to our day. Overall, it was a fantastic day out for us!

Make sure you got good walking shoes. Kids loved it and that is all that really matters. We spend the entire day there. In addition to the animals a newly opened Kids zone had just opened and helped to burn up even more of the kids energy. Food is well......amusement park fare (prices included) but at least there were no problems in getting the kids fed. Bring your own water bottles as there are several refilling stations throughout the park to keep the family hydrated. Lots of shows around the park. Try to find or download a schedule for shows and feedings times.

The infrastructure is well-maintained, and the hygiene standards are high. I had a pleasant walk in the zoo, which was beautifully adorned with plants on both sides. The restaurants in the zoo offer decent food options. However, when compared to other zoos in Asia, the variety of animals is somewhat limited.

Nestled amidst lush greenery, the Singapore Zoo is an absolute marvel that seamlessly combines conservation efforts with an immersive experience for visitors of all ages. From the moment you step foot inside, you're transported into a world where animals roam freely in habitats mirroring their natural environments. The zoo's layout is thoughtfully designed, ensuring easy navigation and optimal viewing opportunities. Each enclosure is meticulously crafted to mimic the native habitats of its inhabitants, allowing visitors to observe a diverse array of wildlife thriving in near-natural conditions. One of the most remarkable aspects is the commitment to conservation and education. The passionate and knowledgeable staff provide insightful talks and interactive sessions, shedding light on the importance of wildlife preservation and fostering a deeper appreciation for the animal kingdom.

Beautiful and well maintained zoo. Think need to wait for kids to be older to enjoy it fully. At least 5 years. Cause the place is too big to walk around. Best is with the tram but at some station need to wait sometime. There is a kids zone and petting zoo. But I think my kid enjoyed the water playground more than the animals. Easily could spend the whole day there.

Always a favourite for myself and my family to revisit. The zoo keepers and tour guides here are all clearly passionate about animal welfare and wildlife conservation. IMO, no other zoo overseas compares to Singapore’s! All the enclosures and exhibits are so well maintained, the animals look happy and well-fed and stimulated (not bored), there are daily feeding and learning activities, it’s very walkable, monkeys and birds like peacocks roam freely, the guides are knowledgeable, and the sign boards are informative. Plenty of shade and benches available throughout the premises to rest if you’re tired, and you can get a drink or bite if you’re hungry. Parking is available.
