Decent coffee shop. Seem to make an effort to going green and reduce use of plastic by offering glass bottled juice varieties and paper straw. However like many others, they continue to use plastic takeaway cup for cold drink and plastic lid for hot drink. They forgot my order of blueberry scone but was brought promptly when reminded. Served warm and was not disappointed. Light and lightly sweetened beyond the blueberry itself. Decent place for a quiet coffee in the morning.

Came on a Sunday late morning and surprised that their only food options were pre-prepared wraps and sandwiches on display - no hot food or open face toast available. Staff were efficient but not friendly 🤷🏻‍♀️ definitely disappointed since it was barely noon, not sure if this is the norm for here. Coffee was fine, outdoor seats a plenty. But Ive had much better experiences at other Dutch colony outlets.

Went there for a light breakfast. We ordered Plain Ctoissant and Raisin Croissant. Ambience was nice staff very polite and customer service excellent. Importantly the pastries we order was delicious. My earl grey tea was served in a pot and strainer. Very presentable. Will be back

Nice place to have your coffee and try their food: wraps, pastries, pies. You can enjoy your Latte inside or outside. Umm, they have some cookies and more wonderful drinks. Comfy chairs and a very clean place, too.

Very very amazing bunch of people here. So friendly and always working well in a team. I had 2 chai lattes and they never fail to disappoint me. I also had the granola bowl well prepared with nicely chopped up fruits. Thank you for the warm service

It was a quick hop in and hop out but I was really impressed with the cafe. It was quite packed with people and I can see why. Deco is simple and classy. The pastries are really fluffy and drinks were satisfying. Two thumbs up..I look forward to dine here one day.

One can see why Dutch Colony cOffee is always packed over the weekends. Expect lots of families and friends coming here for brunch. The cafe is small but has plenty of seating outside. They have a lot of wraps and baked goods. The food is nice and the coffee is very good too. Service is prompt. And plenty of seating outdoors makes this cafe very popular.

We have been staying in Park Avenue just around UE Square. Dutch colony coffee company offers good warm vibe and inviting decor. They offer some vegetarian options as well. Great filter coffee and good variety of wraps. Usually not too crowded and good outdoor seating.

Poor Coffee Poor Food . 1) Banana Walnut Muffin - could barely taste the banana , warmed up but still tasted cold - had to ask for it to be warmed again. 2) Mum had an orange scone - basically flavourless. Mum’s favourite is scones so we’ve had scones and pastry from a lot of places and this was really poor. 3) Mum’s hot latte + my iced latte was very meh to say the least. Very bitter - don’t provide sugar unless requested and even after the sugar - didn’t taste nice at all. 4) When asked for some milk so my iced latte would taste less bitter, the staff just took out the bottle of milk and poured over . What disgusting service as well. One of staff with short hair was nice but the other lady wasn’t given the experience I had above. Eventually I can’t bring myself to drink such a terrible cup of coffee, had a few sips and left with more than 3/4 of coffee on the table . Took pictures but not sure why I can’t seem to upload them here. There are 7-8 places for this pricing that I can name for coffee that hands down beats this place. Poor and won’t come back. I’m not sure what others see in this place

Amazing coffee shop— I highly recommend! I ordered a quiche and it was delicious. It came with a side salad that had an amazing vinaigrette dressing, and I also ordered an iced coffee. The only thing I wish they had was more fine sugar (the kind they have is very granular).

I checked Dutch Colony out while exploring the best coffee Singapore has to offer, and was very pleased with the espresso and filter offerings. I don’t usually go for the big boy Brazilian single Os, but I was pleasantly surprised, and the Guatemalan filter was on point. The team was knowledgeable and skilled, and although I didn’t try a milk based coffee, I saw some pretty nice latte art go out. I also dig the cool minimalist fit out, which made a relatively small space feel light and very roomy. Definitely worth a try!

I really love the coffee beans they sell. To date, they're the best I've found in the country, and I really appreciate that they also stock accessories for pourover at home. Staff is extremely friendly which makes for a consistently pleasant experience. However, my espresso wasn't extracted properly (no crema) and came with club soda instead of still water. I am also unable to recommend the pastries offered. Still, I think this place has potential - and they roast really nice beans which they will also grind for you upon request 🌷

Decent coffee but service was differential. I was not given table service, was told it’s self collect but the cafe staff were happily serving the expat population. When asked “why is the service different for expats”, the cafe staff just shrugged and walked off.

Can't get used to the coffee...a bit on the sour side. Staff was lovely as they offered to change to less sour coffee bean. Indoor seats are limited. Outdoor seats will get the sun. So better for takeaways or late afternoon visits, nearing their closing time.

One of the many DCC locations with delicious coffee and cakes. Flavourful mildly roasted coffee served by smiling barista. They have indoor and outdoor seating, with limited collection of food as well. Very popular with families and walkers strolling around for a quick coffee grab. Worth a weekend coffee visit. Don't serve free water. ♿ wheelchair accessible

Good coffee from this well-established local roaster. Default double shot for the large white. This latest cup, made with their Nutcracker blend of Guatemala Finca El Regalito, Guatemala Finca Santa Isabel, and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Aricha, and Meiji milk, had a fruity/nutty but not so clear flavour and was a little foamy.

Great coffee stop! Located inside UE Square. Enjoyed their Filter Coffee and Iced Caffe Latte. Their croissant is really good too to pair with the drinks. The place is nice to take a break from work or your walk, also nice for meet-ups and conversations. Took home a bag of beans to brew too and happy that we did.

  • 3/5 N A. 11 months ago on Google • 41 reviews
Pour over coffee is okay, however it was served in a super cold cup, which would inevitably cool it down too quickly. The croissant was horribly dry and almost stale, and hardly warmed up. However, this complemented the dry and underwhelming service. It took three requests to get the water. The coffee and tea arrived before this.

The service is quite bad, my hubby and I went there 2 times for breakfast, in both times they didn't have several things from the menu. I decided to have a "ham &cheese croissant" but theu didn't have ham,,I was still charged for the whole croissant. We were told that our food will be delivered to our table, we'll I waited so long and I needed to be the one collecting. I am not planning to go back. There is a bakery/restaurant next to this place that is much better

After visiting this cafe today i wonder about all the high ratings Our experience - staff is stoic.. They don't say much or do much. Looks like they're under some kind of duress - coffee - average. I got my coffee served too early and hence it was not hot - food : for avo toast. Who in the world does hard boiled eggs on avo toast. Also the avocado was bare, it was a thin layer of some avo mixed with some cream. Menu item said glaucamole but this wasn't glaucamole by any stretch. - asked for ice water, got tap water instead - asked for tobasco, got chilli sauce instead Bad experience.. Really poor

Decided to visit the UE Square Dutch Colony branch after seeing numerous reviews of the brand on social and wanted to try their breakfast. We came on Sunday before noon, and there was already quite a no. of people but there was still seats available. After safe entry check in, we scan the QR for the menu. Upon ordering, I wanted to order the Salmon & Avocado toast but was told by the Cashier staff that the menu recently changed and they do not serve that. So the only options available were the wraps and pastries. So we went with the wrap since it was the only "proper brunch" option. We ordered the Beef Bulgogi wrap and Tex Mex wrap, and 2 coffees. When the food arrived, we realised the price didn't justify with the food served. The wrap was smaller than a kebab and only contained the protein aside from the mini salad served on the side. Lucky, the wraps tasted alright and the coffees were pretty decent. Service was so-so. I only interacted with the staff that was manning the cashier and she spoke so softly. I had to repeat my order just to ensure it's correct and I swear she look annoyed. It would be great if she could at least smile or present that she enjoys her work. After scrolling through the past reviews, we realised that the recent menu changed, wasn't recent at all, as there were already reviews on it from 11 months ago. I think it would be helpful for the brand to create this awareness to customers that not all branches served the same menu to avoid disappointment and waste of travel time. The 2 stars is for the interior and the decent food and coffee.

Pet-friendly cafe at he outdoor seats. While it's sheltered, it can be a bit hot as not much wind. Food is great though and service is excellent. It's not too crowded and is a good place to chill. Plus you can do grocery shopping at nearby supermarket. I would recommend this for a weekend chill out spot.

It took them almost 20 minutes to make a single matcha latte in a cup smaller than my hand on a Thursday morning, worst of all it didn't even taste good. Granted it was busy, I expected some delay but nevertheless. You're better off going to the Starbucks next door.

Nice coffee outlet with indoor or outdoor seating, and a large variety of coffee types and beans to choose from. I selected a single origin Honduras bean, brewed in a pour over method. Coffee was light enough to capture the tasting notes, and I like Central American beans for the more subtle fruity and less earthy tastes. They also offer a fairly nice selection of bakery items and I snacked on an orange scone. Excellent dense texture and not sweet orange flavor. Staff can get busy and preoccupied recommend to pay attention for your order to be ready.

It's great to find another nice breakfast place around river valley and fort canning. This branch of Dutch colony includes indoor and outdoor space. Pretty lucky to have found seats on a busy breakfast morning. Food and coffee are okay today. We had granola, tomato herb wrap, and cinnamon bagel with cream cheese. Cappuccino and Oat Latte. All in all, food and coffee are okay.

Good coffee, but menu on the board isn't what they have to offer and the pain au chocolat was inedible it was that soggy I think because it had been through too many heat cycles/was from a pre-Covid era batch. Granola bowl had lots of fresh fruit in though which was good. Overall, just another one of those generic coffee chains that probably started off awesome but have scaled with hiccups

Came over the cafe to be greeted by welcoming baristas. Perfect coffee blends and good food pairing. I love the Beef Pastrami Croissant which gave a new look and experience to guests. Attire is very coordinated with all of them wearing checkered. Suhaila served me very well, Suffian prepared and served me the food and Danny prepared the drinks smooth and timely. Although they were wearing masks but looking at their eye contact with me and the intonation of their voice definitely made my day. Yours truly, Bobby Sanders.

Great coffee and nice servers, although in the morning they had some issues due to overwhelming people coming in. I think that the team handed very well. Danny was nice enough to guide me on the preference of coffee wether I like it bolder or lighter. With a brief explanation from him, I admire his knowledge although he told me he only worked for 2 months and he managed to speak a little Spanish with me. I like the attire of them wearing shirts where they blend in with us like office workers. Good job and keep up the good work especially the Chinese Lady who was with him

The five stars are awarded to the professional barista! I ordered filter coffee, and as usual I love recommendations from the barista. I have been told all three are nice geisha, but i should try the one from Panama. The barista offered me the reasons for such, and I was happy to order. When the coffee was ready, the barista explained to me again the tasting note. He told me how the flavour will develop when the coffee becomes cold, and how does my cup (Panama) is different from the others on the list. I enjoyed it until the very last drop. With great respect of his profession and skill, this is not the best cup of Geisha I have ever had - and it all depends on the batch and roast as well. However I respect his passion and professionalism. What a delightful morning. Thank you again.

They don't make their coffees in order. I was waiting for my flat white for a long time and a few customers before me got their coffees first. I like coming for their coffees, it's not bad, but I am really disappointed by their management of service. The barista didn't really seem like he wanted to apologise either. Don't know if I'll come back again, it's a shame because you are so close to home.
