Restaurant Cafe Coffee shop

👍 Tasty economical-rice-style vegetarian food in this newly renovated kopitiam. It's to my liking. Quite a selection of veggie dishes to choose from. I had the curry mock meat, brinjal, curry cabbage and green veggy. People often mention good, coffee, chicken, rice, stall, drinks, shop, meat, clean,

After a massive renovation and rebranding, the place is now worthy to be presented to tourists from far and near, visiting the so-called Buddha Tooth Temple. Their coffee black and red tea is robust, a rarity in Singapore coffee shop these days. Chicken Rice plain and simple - exactly the way it should be. Affordable prices too. Used to be run by two enthusastic Malay-Muslim guys. Recently was served by a young Malay-Muslim girl. Not sure what's the history but ... chicken rice in Chinatown? Anyway, the chicken and rice are up to par in terms of flavour, freshness, and portions. Must support these guys.

It’s a Local coffee shop and food court with reasonable price, there are many choice. Traditional coffee and tea, you should try it. It is specially for the chicken rice and the Hong Kong roasted duck. The chicken here is very tender and have the sweetness of chicken taste, the rice and chilli sauce very good too.

A great place to eat and have coffee at. The CBD skyline is spectacular, and also the Buddha Tooth Relic temple is directly in front of this coffeeshop.

Nice place to eat. Unfortunately, not many stalls are opened for dinner on Sundays. Bright and clean. Prices reasonable.

Tried the dumpling soup at Happy Pot, dumpling was yummy full of meat, soup was flavourful. Will definitely go back to try their clay pot rice.

Just recently went to this coffee shop to have lunch and it was quite ok. But sometime bothers me is that the auntie from the drinks stall is really rude and impatient. I approach to the drinks stall and ask the lady to have a plain water and 100+ drink, the lady told me to pick the drinks from the aisle instead of letting me know about that. As I'm about to pick up the drinks from the aisle and pass it to the counter for payment, the lady asks me if I want a ice cup as optional and I said "yes I want ice cup" in english and they don't seem to understand what am I talking as they're not aware of understanding english. Suddenly, the auntie from the drinks stall started to scold and shouted at me for taking too long to decide. I was really really scared and frustrated to speak in proper chinese, then I managed to finish the payment and walk away from the auntie and the drinks stall. Needless to say, the auntie is very rough and rude to customers when ordering something at the drinks stall. If you hate your job, then resign your job and take another one. I will never return to this coffee shop anymore. Beware of the auntie from the drinks stall if anyone is heading there to try out their delicious food.

Everything is good at this coffeeshop, they used good coffee beans and selection of Western, Chinese and Indian food. Except for the Vegetarian, overpriced from 2.50sgd to 4.20sgd. Selection of vegetarian is minimum, strongly suggest alternative vegetarian good nearby. Eg, food court above Chinatown market and basement of 佛牙寺。They served good vegetarian selection at commoners affordable price

stale toast, kaya no flavor, kopi just awful. I was going to give this place one star for cleanliness but then I went to the restroom and it's not clean at all. I won't return.

It's clean, spacious, airy and not as crowded as the nearby hawker centres even during the lunch hours (at least not yet).

Ramen broth is just plain msg taste, not like some other stalls which serve real pork broth. Egg and char siew tasted bad, definitely not fresh, felt like they were kept for a few days. Do not try this stall

Your staff at Gao Ji Yong Tau Foo at K88 Kopitiam is very dirty. His chopsticks to stir the noodles dropped onto the floor. He picked it up and just rinsed it with water and it took less then 3 seconds. I highlighted to him and he said it was clean. I paid and threw away my food. This is ridiculous. Pls send your staff to WSQ food handling course. I have sent a complaint to SFA as well.

Keep a lookout of this place especially if you are a tourist from China. There are gangsters in their 60s-70s lurking in the coffee shop to steal your belongings and then hold to ransom for “helping you to find them”. They even target local elderly, let alone targeting the tourists.

Nice, quaint little place to grab a bite at. I've tried the chicken rice, claypot rice and (franchise) yong tau foo. Unfortunately the food here is below average for singapore standards, more so when maxwell food centre is just one road away.

Pretty good hawker center. If you are a vegetarian looking for options in china town. Try the mock meat here. Chicky fun is another outlet just beside the mock meat outlet - they serve chicken rice. Quite good i would say. You gotta eat it with the red chilly sauce along with it. The consistency of this place is a little off. It depends on the staff, some of them make sure server top quality chicken always and some of them dont.

the thai foods here are expensive and with very little ingredients. I say no to Bak ku teh store here. So far, only the chicken rice and the laksa are decent.

Was at K88 on 11 Jan 2020 about 345 pm. Ordered 2 sets of Kaya butter toast, one additional coffee and ice Milo, cost $11.20. My brother saw all items was charged individually and query the cashier. She told him Toast set only applies for morning which were not informed during our order, only upon payment. I went over to clarify and she told me Toast set only till morning 10 am. No time period was stated next to their Toast Set Menu which gave people wrong impression. Understood per set is only $2.50. Probably patrons take note to avoid paying extra.
