Heard so many good things about this place, but the food was unfortunately a bit of a let down. I had the warm grains bowl (opted for vegan version), and the food was bland and lacked flavor -> I could only really taste the salad dressing. Furthermore, the portion was quite small considering the high price tag. We also had the fluffy pancakes (which they recommended as one of their most popular dishes), and while it tasted nice, it was very simple and was nothing out of the ordinary (it was >$25 for two pancakes too)…. Finally, the most important thing… the coffee! I heard amazing things about their coffee and how good and it is but I ordered the oat milk flat white and it was quite disappointing 😭 it was not well bodied and felt a bit diluted, it just didn’t hit the spot for me :( Overall, I probably would not choose to come again. Again, the food is not bad, the dishes were generally decent tasting, but yeah they were really only average not great. For the altogether $80 price tag (for two meals and two drinks), it was sadly not worth it :”) EDIT: one thing I do want to mention is that the service was great, the staff was friendly and prompt in assisting us with the menu, and attentive to refilling our water, taking our orders etc. Despite the restaurant being really crowded, they were organized and efficient. Always appreciate good service and I do hope the food can be improved!

Good food, great coffee and a lovely cafe 🌟 Great place to relax and chill / just sip on your coffee. The ambience is Fantastic 🌟👍. The attention paid to aesthetics is simply stunning. Every piece of art, furniture and fittings has been carefully thought over before giving them a home here. Prices are slightly higher and that's understandable. Staff are good, attentive, warm and friendly 🌟👍 and a shout out to them. Good service must be appreciated 🌟👍

The 2 breakfast we ordered are awesome. The earl grey tea is fragrant but my long black is ordinary. The food is definitely on the high end, ambience is good, kind of angmoish, not local. I will come once a blue moon cos breakfast is costly to me. 2 pple = $70++

Everyone is super attentive and friendly here! Love their wholemeal sourdough, it was pretty grilled/toasted. Mushrooms were nicely sautéed. Eggs were ok, taste like eggs. Not really a fan of the salted butter. Iced flat white was towards the bitter side. Wanted to buy their sourdough back but they only sell in loaf :-(

Pleasantly surprised by the pumpkin hummus, it was smoothly blended but taste wise was on the milder side. Enjoyed the Turkish Common Man Breakfast as I liked the phyllo wrapped soft boiled egg and pomegranate bits. Overall, food is good but pricing is on the higher end.

Flat white - 4/5 Common man full breakfast - 4/5 Pricing - 2/5 Parking - 1/5 Arrived at 11am on a Saturday to a relatively short queue probably due to covid restrictions. Coffee is really good. Take note both the regular and large flat white coffee comes with two shots. The only difference is that the larger version just has more milk. The pricing for their brunches cost an arm and a leg. The ingredients that went into the common man full breakfast dish were all of fresh and top quality! Note that if you don't take any of the side dish, they allow you to substitute for another side in that dish. We substituted the beans for sausage. Tomatoes were sweet, portobello mushrooms were juicy and flavorful. Sourdough bread was super fresh and went very well with scrambled eggs. The buckwheat ketchup that came with the full breakfast was delightful too! Parking rates at the building is insane though! $3.30 per hour but for part thereof, it's charged at another hour block! $6.60 for 1 hour 15 min off parking. Crazily expensive!

Good experience. Food is nice. And the barista take effort in serving the food. The is the level 2 cafe inside Yoga Movement. Quieter than the one on the ground floor. Order a black coffee $(5.50) and a balanced burger ($18). Very well roasted coffee and the burger (eggs, sauce, bacon strips) with the green salad is well paired.

I recently visited this cafe and overall, I would give it a 4/5 rating. The food was definitely shocking because of its flavour - didn't expect much and I was pleasantly surprised! My Organic Eggs Benedict and my friend's Cubanos Sandwich both were really tasty. However, I did find the prices to be a bit on the pricey side, which might make it hard to justify regular visits if you're on a tight budget. The real star of the show, though, was the coffee. It was absolutely delicious, and definitely one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a while. It's clear that this cafe takes their coffee seriously, and it definitely shows in the quality of the drinks they serve. One downside to the cafe is that it can get very crowded, especially during peak hours. This meant that it took us a while to get seats, but once we were settled in, the service staff was very helpful and attentive. They really went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience, despite the crowds. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great coffee and delicious food, but it might not be the best choice if you're on a tight budget and looking for a regular weekly spot. Despite the prices, though, I think it's worth a visit if you're a coffee lover and want to treat yourself to a special brunch or lunch.

Ambience: This place has a very relaxed, friendly and cool vibe which is perfect for a day with friends or family. Might be a bit too loud for a first date though. Food: We loved the food and coffee. Although I might add that the pumpkin hummus needs a bit more flavour. Besides that both dishes that my friend and I ordered were delicious and filling made with good quality ingredients Service: very professional, friendly and efficient. We were promptly greeted at the bottom of the stairs by a staff member who then got her colleague to help us. We were seated immediately and attended to without much wait time. All in all, it’s a tried and tested place to which I have returned time and again.

Highly recommended. Came for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was already quite crowded at 9.30am. 5 star service. Breakfast is really tasty and the portion is big. Good for 2 to share if you are not so hungry. We order the Full Breakfast to share. The coffee is really good. Definitely worth coming back for more

Extremely happy to find a high quality cafe in Singapore as a traveller from Australia. Fast service with very kind staff. Brilliant food for a price that you would reasonably expect at a cafe.

Went there during Fri lunch time. Quite crowded but there was no queue. The cafe was pretty spacious. The ambience was good. Service was excellent. Egg Benedict with beef and crab salad was average. Hot chocolate and flat white were awesome. Overall slightly pricey - $26 for salad

Wow, just wow. Come to this place via many recommendations I’ve read here in google. The place didn’t disappoint me at all. Lovely lively atmosphere with a great welcoming vibe. We visited during Christmas holidays so it might be not that busy around the year. We ordered Eggs Benedict with Salmon instead of the beef. Highly recommend it. Umami mushroom toast toast and fluffy pancakes were ordered as well. Too delicious. It’s a bit pricey though.

Very nice ambience, strong coffee and friendly service. It’s a very decent place but there is no big pull factor to make me want to come back If there is no queue, then it’s worth trying. But if you need to queue very long, then you can give this place a miss.

my flat white was average; my friend's long black was slightly sour..i won't recommend their coffee. however the food was good - ordered marmite mushrooms with avocado on sourdough toast. thumbs up for that! ambience was good except for the cockroach episode which gave several groups of customers a huge shock. that cockroach was huge!! please keep up on the cleanliness CMCR, don't let that spoil the otherwise great ambience.

Been there a few times already and also their Joo Chiat location too, I really enjoy having a good breakfast or Sunday brunch there after my workouts! The food is great, and the coffee are amazing. An idea cafe for an ideal afternoon! Go explore the place for yourself, I have no doubt that you be in for a treat! P.S: their hashbrown and mushroom avocado toast are my favourite!!

I would say this is the best place I’ve been for slow brew specialty coffee. There is a good range of beans for those of us looking for more specific flavors and they include an information card about some of the more uncommon ones. I’ve sat at the bar seats and seen them brew the coffee and they take great care in each step including running hot water through the filters and weighing the grounds and water accurately. The food was diverse and used good ingredients but wasn’t my main interest in going so I can’t really speak on most of it. The vibe and idle noise were more comfortable than overwhelming as there was ample space inside and outside. I honestly enjoyed just spending some extra time there to relax. Only downside is it was pricey but I think that is to be expected considering the ingredients.

Coffee wasn’t hot. Eggs Benedict was way undercooked and runny like snot. Replacement order was hard boiled. Worst dinning experience in Singapore. For a much better breakfast, go to Five Oars!!!

Great place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Coffee is delicious, juices are good and every food item I have tried has been great. Healthy options as well as bigger plates of delicious food. Can also make a good breakfast out of the sides if you don’t want such a big breakfast. I did that on my most recent visit with sourdough, avo, bacon and has browns. Great atmosphere and the staff are always so friendly. Great service. Parking very near by if you are driving too.

This restaurant is definitely one of the top three brunch places that I have eaten at in Singapore this year! I was really hungry at the time, so I ordered a dish that looked like it had a large portion, and it turned out that the portion was really big. I even took the leftovers home and they still tasted great after reheating. If I have the chance, I will definitely go there again. The only downside is that the restaurant is a bit hard to find. After getting off the car or subway, you have to walk a little bit, and if you're not careful, you might miss it. You can choose whether the eggs are scrambled, sunny side up, or over easy. The roasted mushrooms are very fragrant, and the texture is just right - you can see your own bite marks. The rectangular shape is crispy and fragrant mashed potatoes, with a crispy skin and a soft and warm interior. My friends and I both thought this was the best thing on the dish. The bacon was a bit salty, but it tasted good when paired with the other foods. After writing this review, I already miss this restaurant and can't wait to go there again!

Great cafe and yoga studio upstairs. Excellent coffee, some good latte art on a few coffees being walked past. The staff are really into the coffee and have great service skills. Lots of single origin coffees and brewing tools available to take home also. The kitchen makes a great range of delicious foods. The yogurt and muesli was so damn tasty, I will be back again.

Common Man Coffee Roasters has nothing common! It's a beautiful cafe with old, western-style interiors that give a hint of the 19th century America. The menu, though quite overwhelming, has everything that a coffee lover would ask for. The seating arrangement was great - individual seats on a huge table as well as separate tables for couples and families. I highly recommend this place to all the coffee lovers who aren't just looking for a caffeine-rich drink, but seeking nice ambience and solace.

Ordered an oat milk chai latte, but received (and drank) a regular milk chai latte instead. With such a strong flavour of chai, you can only trust they’ve gotten it right. It’s lucky for them that I only suffer from lactose intolerance instead of a milk allergy.

It pains me to write a bad review of these guys as I have been a very loyal customer for the past two years - eating here on average once a week. I am a devotee of the marmite mushroom toast and pretty much order it every time. On the past two visits, I have been extremely disappointed. Last week, I found chunks of avocado pit in my toast and today I was served stale bread. So stale I had my husband try it and he spat it out. On both occasions the toast came 10-15 minutes after my partner's meal arrived. How hard is it to prepare two brunch-type meals to arrive at the same time with fresh, unpitted avocados?! I will be on a Common Man hiatus for the foreseeable. My message to the management is this: sort this out and, while you're at it, update the menu with some new items. Not only is your bread stale, so is your menu!

This has to be one of my top favourite brunch spot in Singapore. Their pancakes are a must try. So are the eggs Benedict. Every dish is delicious. They do have some fantastic freshly brewed coffee. Waiting period can be half an hour during the if it is a big group. 2 people easily get seats. Prices are on higher side, but it is justified by the good quality ingredients in your food and warm service. Always look forward to visit CMCR.

Great place for brunch to catch up with family and friends. Hearty and healthy brunch option. Price point is not cheap. A bit hard to sit at the high table in between the bar counter & table seating. 1 side of the seating will have to bend down while eating & the side of the lower seating will have to slit their head up while chatting with friends.

A thoroughly disappointing experience of a Common Man delivery order for two. The abysmal meals lacked flavour, and were very overpriced for the quality and quantity. Inedible scrambled eggs, tough halloumi, barely any avocadoes and watery hummus. The fries were the only enjoyable part of the order, but barely worth the $10 price. Delivery was organised by CMCR. I arrived early to meet the delivery, in an effort to make the handover as easy as possible, standing in a highly visible place. The driver arrived at a busy SGH drop-off area in a plain white 'private hire' car with tinted windows, he did not make any effort to make himself distinguished from the taxis or other private hire vehicles passing through. We didn't have any driver or car info from Deliveroo or CMCR. He sat in his car 8metres away from me for 8mins, then he made an angry call to my wife who was in her hospital room, complaining that there was no one there to meet him and he had been waiting for 20mins. The 'common' experience for delivery in Singapore is good, with friendly drivers and quality service. The report card for Common Man is 'Way Below Expected', with an angry, lying delivery driver bringing overpriced tasteless food.

Best coffee in SG for sure! Breakfast is excellent! But why is everything so brown, y’all need some colour in there! The blue or green cups before was so cool 😀

The food is consistently good although some what overpriced, - however the service isn’t the best and some what rude? After paying my bill and waiting on the roadside for my taxi a member of staff approached me and asked me if I remembered to pay my bill? I’d suggest they check with their colleagues and internal systems should they have any real concern

My awesome first visit here with my dear: Ordered a Croissant Croque Monsieur Madame, so tasty and yummy! Coffee was amazing too! Staff was very attentive and cheerful... special thanks to Chyna and Xinyi for their wonderful service. 😁

On a wet and gloomy day, the staff at this establishment made the brunch experience here a bright and warm affair. One of the ladies there who goes by the name Chyna and Xinyi, was really attentive to all the guests, making sure everyone was well attended to and comfortable. They made good food recommendations and could see that she enjoys her work with passion. Even though the place was packed on a rainy Sunday morning, the team there made sure everyone was well taken care off. I’m a regular customer at the other cafe near Boon Tat street when I end my group rides there. The service level is also very consistent across both stores. Kudos to the team! Highly recommended!

Very decent meals ...little overpriced for the setting though. Too crammed though!! In this climate of recurring covid infections , thought it would be better spaced out . Wouldn't rush to eat here but if u have no where else to go .. I guess this would do .

Order: Regular latte extra shot Coffee was unfortunately quite terrible. Bitter, and over extracted. The coffee also tasted somewhat stale, as though old beans were used, or if they had used a shot that had been sitting around for some time for the extra shot.

Very very very nice latte ($6++), very strong coffee.. The full breakfast taste good, enough for two person. Nice ambience, nice food, nice coffee, and good customer service.

Common man never disappoints. We came here for lunch and I ordered the fluffy pancake this time round and it’s was very filling. In general the portions are very generous and the big breakfast especially is enough for 2 to share. Coffee is excellent as always.

Visited this cafe last weekend. Specious, good vibe, nice food, price on a high end though. Indoor and outdoor seating available, love their decorations and I guess their service crew to customer ratio is one of the highest based on all the visited cafe. In which you need not to worry your hand will hang in the mid air for a prolonged period😂 all crews are polite and helpful as well. A good place to have a nice cup (or few cups) of coffee after a long working week. Highly recommended.

The food was good, I got the big man breakfast. Loved everything but the baked beans, found them dry and overcooked. The staff were nice, I think they are a little under staffed.. Took a long time to get someone to attend to us and get a seat.

Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a quality brunch with friends/family. Fresh ingredients and great coffee (slow brew from Brazil was amazing). The price is around $25-30 for a meal but the portions can easily feed 2 ppl. Haven’t had such great cuban sandwich in a long time…

One of the famous cafes in SG. I arrived around 1.30 pm on Saturday. Quite crowded but still able to get a table for 2. Heard their coffees are nice but I am not a coffee person so I ordered juice. Tried their churros too, not bad. Service was good and serving time was fast too. Should try their main meal next time. Total bill is $34.13 (2 drinks and one churros for sharing).

Highly recommended place for breakfast. My boyfriend and I stopped by after an early morning cycling last saturday. Good thing they have the cycling parking space at the side of the building :). We never waited for so long in the queue as there is an available outdoor table. We were greeted nicely by the Manager on duty and show us the menu. After a while, coffee is served… the best coffee I’ve ever tasted in Singapore! I really like the ambience of the place, quiet and not so much car on the road maybe because it’s weekend. :) The food is great… fresh and hot! Excellent customer service of all the staffs especially to the Manager on Duty, very friendly to all the customers! We will definitely come back every weekend for breakfast!

Good food and coffee in a relaxed setting. Regular stuff on the breakfast menu but found the Turkish breakfast to be lovely. The pancakes were OK...not a fan of sourdough pancakes (no half measures in life!). The coffee was great and so was the peanut butter smoothie. All in all a good place for breakfast/brunch but on the expensive side.

Good ambience, generous food portions, great service 👍🏻 Definitely a perfect brunch spot to visit/chill at, except for the location and price. So it’s best to order a few dishes and share ☺️ My friends and I ordered Chilli Chicken, Common Man Full Breakfast, and lastly, Croissant Bread & Butter Pudding. When I saw the dessert section, I was so convinced by the dessert name and description that I had to order it. I swear the dessert was the best, drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s a MUST TRY when you visit CMCR😙

This place is a gem! Impeccable service, good food, awesome coffee in a beautiful setting. It can't get better than this. We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon, and as expected the cafe was full house, but the staff assured us that they'll get us a table soon. I've had my fair share of visiting crowded/popular cafes to be told that there are no seats now, just try later. But these folks at CMCR made us feel welcome by getting us seated at a temporary area so we could hide from the sweltering heat outside. We were seated at a corner tucked away from the main service area but the staff were always readily available, be it to check in on us if we wanted to make an order, or needed their help in any way. To add on, the coffee and full breakfast set was on point. My mom who doesn't usually enjoy baked beans said it's the first time she finished the portion herself. Definitely a place I'd love to visit again soon. Kudos to the staff for making our visit such a pleasant one😀

Been there a few times. It is on the high end price wise for brunch but quality is good. Cold brew coffee is fine and juices are very tasty. Food is also nice and good portions served. Staff is welcoming and friendly.

Loved this cafe! Good food and coffee. Also have to give a big shout out to whoever designed the space. I'm from Melbourne where we take our cafes pretty seriously and the aesthetic here is absolutely beautiful. The green tiled bar, the beautiful wood chairs and stool, the dark wood bench seating, the carved birds and lighting *chefs kiss* couldn't stop admiring it the whole time I ate. Staff were also friendly and quick.

One of my favorite places for brunch and coffee in Singapore! It’s located very near the park connector making it an ideal spot for your post-jog meal. Had the umami mushroom avocado toast this time and it did not disappoint. Coffee was also good as per usual.

Definitely one of the best cafes in Singapore, not cheap but the food is of top quality. Coffee and latte art is also exquisite. Food, coffee, interior everything is aesthetically on point. With the slight natural sunlight coming in while having brunch, perfecto. 👌🏻

A lovely joint on level 2 adjacent to Yoga Movement Robertson Quay that provides a great coffee break or light meals post yoga. Run by Common man roasters on level 1, the short menu is adequate and has some gems. We love the açai bowl and the mushroom toasties. Both are delicious, nicely executed and good value. A great place to chill with a cuppa after sessions.

Fine experience as a coffee option after yoga class. But the food is not very sophisticated. Poke is more a dry version with a feeling it was pre-cooked few days ago. Service is super friendly and vibe is very chill 🧘‍♂️

I love the fact that it’s outside the yoga studio I go to and it offers healthy food with awesome coffee! Go for the avocado toast and get ready to be mind blown. It’s a nice place to have coffee without having to queue, as they share the same beans from common man roasters.

It was Saturday when i visited and the cafe was crowded. Settled for the outdoor seats. Ordered a latte and a chocolate cake (comes with vanilla ice cream). Latte was not good. Cake was average. The only thing I like is the cafe atmosphere and vibe.

Great food and great coffee, although a bit pricey. I ordered the Common Man Full Breakfast - serving size was huge, and each component of the dish was prepared well. Coffee was really good too, as expected ☕️ Most of the diners here are expats, usually in groups. If you're dining solo, you can enjoy your meal by the counter.

Came here for breakfast early on a Saturday morning. Not too busy and the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the savoury pancakes as well as the fluffy pancakes. Presentation was very good. They were both so good and I will definitely come back again.

I ate breakfast there during my stay in Singapore and I loved it. I chose the turkish breakfast and it was delicious! So was the coffee! I had a mocha and it came with a beautiful decoration on top. My coworker had pancakes and a cafe latte and he love his choice as well. Really recommend Common Man Coffee Roasters for a very nice breakfast.

Service here is good but food is expensive. Pancakes at $24++ !!! Looking at the portion & ingredients, totally not worth the price. Croissant 🥐 with ham & cheese plus rocket leaves, $18++, it cannot get anymore expensive than this. Seating is quite cramp too where tables are very close to each other. Not conducive for private conversations. Furthermore we didn’t like the sour taste of the coffee. Despite all the negatives, this place is still crowded. Probably cos it’s located in high end residential area. *Edit: See the owner’s reply. I think they don’t understand my comment cos I never said I enjoyed the food. They must be delusional. Hope they give better quality & bigger portion for the high price they are charging.

Great place for coffee and breakfast. They have a selection of beans for slow brew (pour over) along with your normal espresso drink options. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is very friendly. Prices are a little steep, but the coffee is quite good!

Chose this cafe based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Great location, beautifully set up with a great vibe. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was prompt and the coffee and meal were great. Well sized, nicely presented and really enjoyable. Al very well received as we had just come off an overnight flight. It was consistently busy while we were there with many clients who appeared to be ‘regulars’

The place is nice and cozy. Spaces between tables are not too narrow. Full glass wall keeps the room bright but not hot because of the AC. Service was really good and nice. Staffs were friendly and helpful to recommend some menu items to us. Menu that we ordered: - Common Man Fluffy Pancake 8.5/10. Very pleasant to the eyes and palate, nice combination of texture, sweetnes and acidity from the topping. - Common Man Full Breakfast 8/10. It’s basically delicious combination of everything on the plate. Almost every item was prepared to perfection, but the hashbrown can be improved. - Ice Mocca 8.5/10. Nice balance of flavour, pretty generous portion. - Nitro Iced Tea 8/10. It’s either you love it of you hate it. If you like tea with hint of acidity and freshness, this drink is for you. Pricing is in middle up range (quite pricey for me) but considerably match with the quality of food, beverages, service and ambience. Overall, I trully enjoyed my experience with Common Man.

Pet-friendly outdoors for our dogs and they have water bowls on request. Friendly service! Turkish breakfast - 4.5 stars Their phyllo-wrapped soft boiled egg is divine. Pita is great too. Nitro honey oat latte ($9.50) - 2.5 stars Got this thinking there'd be some thicc foam. Nope. Didn't appreciate the latte either. I like their usual lattes much better.
