Kim San Leng Coffeeshop (Owen Road)

Cafe β€’ Coffee shop

😠 Self service for ordering drink but the flow is slow due to shortage of manpower. Queue is long. Cna management look into this? If cant hire manpower why not use kiosk machine to do ordering? People often mention nice, good, stalls, coffee,

Another gem of a coffeeshop in the Farrer Park area. Includes branded stores such as Tai Wah Pork Noodle (from 13 Oct 2021, note that this is run by the cousin and not related to the one in Crawford Road), Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo, Min Li (this is a perpetual favourite which drew crowds pre-Covid), good roast pork stall, really nice rojak stall, Chargrill. Well worth a visit and detour.

There are really good stalls here. From Mun Ee for zhe char,to Michelin bib bak chor mee, to koo kay yong tau foo. But do not overlook this humble chat siew , roast duck rice and noodle place. Very reasonably priced, meats roasted on site and service with a smile. The young gentlemen are lovely to the older patrons , asking them to take their seats and serving them like their own relatives. Their business has been affected by the chain favourites but they still have their local patrons as the prices and portions are good

I like this coffee shop although the wait can be quite long for the Zi Char s stall. But they are reasonably priced and delicious. Just look at my portion of salted fish diced chicken fried rice, must go with sambal chilli. It's... YUMS!

Very pleasantly surprised by the assortment of stalls they've managed to bring in, and the quality of the food. It's not just one or two anchor hawkers, but a suite of very reputable stalls from around Singapore. The pork noodles from Tai Hwa Lavender. Chwee Kueh from Jian Bo Tiong Bahru. Yong Tau Foo that's heritage. Tse Char from Mun Ee, which is also branded. Western food that's quick and simple Chargrilled. Not sure what else to complain about. Location is convenient, and parking is easy. Coffeeshop is newly renovated, so everything feels great (other than not having air conditioning).

Apr2022 Tea is still as good. Many nice stalls here like yong tau foo and pork noodle. The place is neat and clean Older post Tea here is nice. Thick and not too sweet. Spacious coffeeshop and not too crowded even on weekends. Car park is just next to the coffeeshop. The usual coffeeshop seafood restaurant and has a char grill bar

$5.20 Roast pork and char side noodle. πŸ‘ nice crisp on roast pork. Char siew flavour is nice, mine was lean meat which is firm, fatty part will be nicer. Noodle sauce slightly insufficient but still ok, will be good if the char siew sauce can be added in. Chillie is nice.

We like almost all the stalls, fav being roast meats and Tze char. Loads of parking and breezy

Not many stalls operating, the mixed veg rice stall and the roasted delights are in my opinion the better ones. The roasted delights are pretty generous and affordable. Taste is not bad.

Hats off to this Kim San Leng coffee shop at Pek Kio for employing two β€˜special’ staff for the drinks/coffee counter. There are two young staff manning the coffee/drinks counter located near the wash basins, one gentleman with the dyed white hair and one tanned lady usually in ponytail hair. Both are hearing impaired and with speech disability as well. Difficult to make an order as they cannot hear us when we asked for assistance, and they cannot reply to our order requests. Most of the time, these two staff are not in the counter area as they are busy preparing something at the back of their shop area. Luckily, they are somewhat capable in lip-reading, so if we can get their attention, we should be able to make our order. They are very fast and efficient in making the coffee/tea order, so that is a plus point for sure. Thanks to Kim San Leng for giving such people a chance to make a living.
