Possibly
one
of
the
best
brunch
places
I've
ever
been
to!!!
This
is
gonna
be
a
long
review
because
I
have
a
lot
to
say,
so
tldr:
excellent
food,
great
coffee,
good
for
coffee
enthusiasts,
good
value
for
money,
nice
ambiance.
Being
a
coffee
enthusiast
myself,
I
learned
about
Toby's
estate
while
doing
research
on
roasters
in
Singapore
to
buy
beans
from.
My
girlfriend
and
I
are
huge
brunch
fans,
and
the
fact
that
Toby's
roasts
its
own
coffee
was
a
big
bonus.
We
visited
on
a
Saturday,
around
noon.
There
wasn't
much
waiting.
The
cafe
is
by
the
water,
but
unfortunately
due
to
some
construction
work
the
view
was
blocked
off.
There
are
3-4
small
outdoor
tables
overlooking
the
water.
The
inside
of
the
café
is
really
nice
as
well.
They
have
a
very
long
communal
table
surrounded
by
smaller
tables.
The
atmosphere
is
very
nice
and
cozy,
nothing
too
fancy
(in
a
good
way).
Toby's
has
a
very
expansive
menu
with
a
lot
of
options.
Since
we
had
gone
for
brunch,
we
focused
more
on
the
breakfast
items
but
the
lunch
items
sounded
pretty
good
too.
The
food
is
absolutely
amazing.
This
is
one
of
the
very
few
places
I've
been
to
where
I've
LOVED
every
single
thing
I
ordered.
We
got
the
following:
-
Breakfast
tacos:
the
breakfast
tacos
were
absolutely
delicious.
We
were
served
3
soft
shell
tacos,
stuffed
with
scrambled
eggs,
chili
jam,
onions,
cheese
and
much
more.
The
eggs
were
delicious
and
cooked
to
perfection,
and
went
so
well
with
all
the
other
ingredients.
The
chili
jam
especially
was
nothing
like
anything
I've
ever
tried
and
gave
the
dish
an
excellent
kick.
-
French
toast:
Possibly
some
of
the
best
french
toast
I've
ever
had.
It
was
very
soft
and
the
taste
was
perfect.
It
came
with
glazed
bacon,
maple
syrup
and
a
berry
compote.
The
bacon
and
the
compote
went
wonderfully
with
dense
toast.
The
French
toast
was
nice
and
spongey
and
soaked
in
the
compote
so
well.
The
bacon
was
absolutely
delicious
and
some
of
the
best
I've
had.
-
Toby's
avocado
on
toast:
another
great
dish.
It
had
mushroooms,
poached
egg
and
green
hollandaise
sauce
over
sourdough
bread.
The
egg
and
the
hollandaise
gave
the
dish
a
very
creamy
and
delicious
texture.
Mushrooms
were
also
very
flavorful.
-
Pecan
pie:
An
excellent
dessert
option.
Very
dense
and
rich
and
yummy.
Personally
I
would
recommend
sharing
it
with
someone
because
it's
a
very
rich
pie
and
may
be
too
much
to
have
on
your
own.
-
Waffles:
Although
the
waffles
were
good,
this
was
the
only
dish
that
had
a
bit
of
scope
for
improvement.
It
was
a
little
sweeter
than
I'd
like
and
the
chocolate
sauce
used
was
not
the
best
I've
had,
but
still
a
good
dish
overall.
-
Iced
Latte:
very
good
coffee,
strong
and
flavorful.
I
enjoyed
all
the
food
we
got,
and
to
make
things
better,
it
was
all
very
reasonably
priced.
We
spent
about
$100
for
all
of
the
above
along
with
a
flavoured
soda.
Definitely
one
of
the
best
brunch
places
in
terms
of
value
for
money.
One
small
nitpick
would
be
that
the
portion
sizes
of
the
dishes
are
a
bit
small,
but
considering
the
reasonable
prices,
it
worked
well
for
my
girlfriend
and
I
since
we
could
order
and
try
out
more
things.
The
staff
is
friendly.
For
the
coffee
enthusiasts
out
there,
Toby's
has
a
large
selection
of
coffee
beans
and
coffee
brewing
equipment.
It's
a
little
expensive,
but
I
guess
that's
because
it
must
be
imported.
The
coffee
itself
is
quite
recently
priced.
There
was
a
clearance
sale
going
on
when
I
went
and
they
had
200g
bags
of
beans
going
for
$10,
which
is
much
better
than
other
cafés
I've
seen.
Overall
an
excellent
place
which
is
worth
every
cent
I
spent
there.
Will
definitely
be
revisiting,
maybe
during
lunch
time
next!
Highly
recommended!
