Cafe Coffee shop

👍👍 A lovely coffee place served with a purpose, by people with different abilities. Coffee is dark roasted, and slightly on the bitter side. They do serve non caffeine based products like dark chocolate drinks and tea. A simple array of pastries are available as well! People often mention coffee, good, nice, great,

Inside the historic Temasek Shophouse you will find this coffee stand. A local establishment, they have a number of unique specialty drinks, and several local origin coffee beans from SE Asia. I tried a Laos bean pour over which was medium roast, light and sweetly acidic. They offer some tasty bakery items, when I went they offer 20% discount for bakery in final hour. I tried orange scone which was very nice. Slightly crusty orange glaze on the top, moist and crumbly in texture. The salted caramel chocolate tart was a single tart, dark chocolate with a thin caramel layer along the crust bottom. Recommend to sit in the back garden, a small private space along the canal, and a great place to sit with nature and enjoy your coffee. Helpful staff to help you select the right bean.

A social enterprise cafe located near Plaza Sing with affordable coffee and small bites. It’s a good place to study or work even on weekends (I visited around 11.30 and stayed until 4). They have free wifi, plugs, clean toilets, and most importantly they don’t chase you out. The barista was also super friendly and patient even though he had to take orders, prepare and clean everything on his own. To be fair the coffee/food isn’t exceptional, I had a skinny latte and the smoked chicken sandwich. Coffee wasn’t strong enough imo, but croissant was freshly heated, flaky and chewy so pretty pleasant to eat.

amazing place to study with great coffee and good service! This is the 2nd time coming around here, and this time I tried the hot latte (good as always!!) + banana muffin (v good!) + brioche bun (was ok). They also have a 20% discount on their bakes around 3pm for clearance. A bit sad that we didn't get to try any of their bowls though, as it was unavailable :(

Love Foreword coffee! The coffee is yummy and not too acidic or milky. Professional baristas! The staff is well-trained and efficient. Their baked goods are not bad too! Cool and clean environment to hang out at as well. Reasonable prices. Do support this social enterprise!

Stumble upon this cafe as I walked past the building… ordered the iced French mint chocolate and blown me away… the concept here is interesting…

I stumbled across Foreword while trying to find a place to hide out from the rain for a little bit and I have to say I'm really glad I stopped by! It's a nice oasis in the chaos that orchard road can be sometimes. It's in the lobby of Temasek shophouse which I more often just walk by without noticing. The lobby area has an amazing living wall and there is a nice garden out back to relax a bit in (when it's not raining). Coffee is top notch and really hit the spot. I liked it so much I had to come back the next week even when it wasn't raining.

A quiet space to rest and enjoy a cup of coffee and small pastries. It’s great to give our friends with special need’s opportunities to work and use their skills. The only downside is you can’t control what kind of music is played on the public pianos. My first visit was so pleasant, coffee was good, no music, no human noise. So I decided to return. But second visit was noisy. Me and my friend couldn’t even hear each other because there were two persons who took turns to play very loud and fast tunes with not much emotions but mostly banging away. One of them play music of games and anime that makes your heart race and the high ceiling of the building creates even louder echos. After a while, we had to leave because the sound becomes unpleasant. My suggestion for Temasek team is to put notice for pianists to play only soft music and control the volume for the sake of the customers of Foreword Coffee Roasters.

Ordered coffee and sandwich, they told me they’ll call me when it’s ready for self-collection. Not an issue. I asked them if they need my name, they said no. I waited for a while but was not called on for my order. Then when they saw me sitting around, they said “Oh your coffee’s been ready”. Apparently they rang a bell to indicate so. There were a number of people who ordered a latte before me. How are we supposed to know whose is whose, when’s our turn? My coffee was waiting for a while and it was cold by the time I found out and I picked it up. I also ordered the smoked chicken croissant sandwich and got the ham and cheese instead. The croissant was burnt. Won’t be coming back.

Nice selection of quality coffee. Nice ambience as it's in a quiet space. They have free WiFi (and you don't need to ask them for a password which is handy). The barista was very helpful and polite too. They do sell some food - a small but nice selection of sweet and savory snacks, including halal pastrami and cheese croissant. Very tasty!

A little gem of a place in Temasek Shophouse. Since it's incredibly quiet, it's a great place to sit down and do deep work while enjoying a coffee. The staff are very welcoming and are part of the great experience.

Love the coffee here! It was a nice and quiet space that would be good to do some reading or work or for a cozy catch up with a friend. The food is not bad albeit a bit expensive. Still! Would definitely visit (multiple times!)

Nice coffee place tucked in Temasek shophouse. It’s a business promoting good cause. Staff that I saw are young, friendly and diligent. Coffee is very good. They run a few promos. Bring your cup to get 10% off for take-aways.

It's pretty good coffee but they served in a paper cup even though we dined in at about 1.30pm on Sun. $3.50 latte with shopback

Set in a beautiful hall but it's very hard to get a seat as it has more of a reception area than an actual cafe setup. Love to support the special needs baristas who make great coffee. Avoid the food though; dry and stale, with limited selection.

It was my first time getting coffee, they had so nice service attitude and coffee flavor was good and fresh.

😐 This is ecstatically the best looking amongst the PS Cafes. They have a good selection of food and beverages that some might consider pricey. But their cakes and deserts are very good. It’s a great place to chill in the afternoons and also good for sundowners after a long day. It’s always a pleas...
