(Detailed review below) Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was recommended this place by a friend with a warning to expect long queues! Luckily for me, there were no queues and I suspect that turning up an hour before closing time helped! 😅 We had the laksa pasta and the stout glazed French toast with bacon and both were nice. The laksa could be better (IMHO but I'm probably picky). The French toast was truly outstanding; fluffy toast with just the right amount of sweetness. I was told later that I should try the waffles so that's definitely on my hit list for my next visit! Thanks folks for a lovely meal in a nice casual vibes cafe!

We celebrated a birthday brunch here and was a pleasant experience.🙂 Food was good. Service was good. Coffee was good. While there was nothing to complain about, there wasn't much to shout out about too. Pricing was average, not overly expensive. Given the reviews, we were hoping for a memorable experience, but it fell short. One thing we observe is that it's really crowded here on any given day. So make reservations and be punctual. Almost lost our table cos one of us was at the crossing and was a little late. Yes 🤗 it was nice enough for us to consider coming by again when we are in the vicinity and it it wasn't too crowded

Came here on a weekday before 10am and it was almost full! Tolido's serves a good cup of coffee + hearty foods (Truffle Scrambled Eggs, Stout Glazed Bacon French Toast were superb!) We also tried their Homemade Fudgy Brownies but it was only okay. Overall a nice place to hang out!

Heard so much about this place, and it lived up to its hype. Delicious mains and strong coffee. My full breakfast was a really good - the smoked salmon was so fresh, and even the unassuming cheese sausage was good. The rosti was also surprisingly flavorful. Food was served really fast and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely come back.

Pesto eggplant sandwich - 4.5 stars It's hard to find good sandwiches in Singapore. This is one of the best I've had. The ciabatta was lightly crisp on the outside though a tad dry on the inside. Eggplant's texture was spot on with just enough salt and acid. Banana almond French toast - 4.5 stars Excellent texture but got a bit dry towards the end. Could use some yogurt/cream. Rosti - 4.5 stars Rosti had great texture and flavour. Scrambled eggs - 4 stars Shakshuka - 3.25 stars Needed more umami even with the bratwurst. My husband thought the chickpeas were a good addition. +++ Drinks Hot oat white - 4.25 stars Liked this better with the oat milk but it still does have a strong bitter aftertaste. Hot white - 3.75 stars Excellent texture and microfoam. But it was too milky and had a bitter aftertaste. This tends to happen for me when I get regular milk so I might try this with oat milk the next time, and/or get the cortado. +++ Dogs allowed outside.

Disappointing experience. Hard boiled poached eggs. Where’s the runny yolk? If a restaurant cannot even do a proper poached eggs, they should never be selling Eggs Benedict. Food portion is large for cheap products like potatoes and bread. Avocado spread is so thin that I could hardly taste it. Smoked salmon has bones in it. Rosti is just overpriced with what it comes with. Service is zero. I spilled half a cup of water right before a service crew and the table was soaked and dripping onto the floor but she did not offer to wipe the spill. Someone could have slipped on the puddle of water on the floor. I was using my own tissue to wipe down the table. This is a place I will never return. There are other places that can do brunch with proper poached eggs and better service.

I have lost count on how many times I have patronised this place!!! The coffee is great and hits the spot everytime! The Rosti is also one of the best I've had in a qhile and their service and overall food is gooddd! This time around we had the Pandan Pancake w Coconut Ice Cream, Rosti w Cheesy Sausage, Pesto Pasta, Savoury French Toast, Beef Stew and my fav... Sea Salt Caramel Latte!!!

It was packed when I arrived, but surprisingly tables became available really quick (in about the time it took to head to the restroom, in fact). The food is typical cafe style done well, with some unusual selections (mainly thinking of the sambal fried rice and laksa pasta). The pancakes did not live up to the hype for me personally. The coffee's decent enough. It'd be nice to have some pourover options!

Ordered a Pancake with eggs n sausage. Pancake was powdery. Worst than frozen ones. McDonalds are better. Need to do something about the flour mix, definitely wrong. Another item is the mushroom sauce over croissant. This recipe need to go. Looks nice on the menu photo. But pouring mushroom over crispy croissant is bad idea. Makes the croissant mushy n soggy. If the Chef feels the sauce goes well with croissant, suggest setting the sauce aside. 1 star for both item. The coffee was good. More of a coffee place.

The service from the staff are good. When I was standing outside the cafe before their opening hours, a staff approached me to check how she can help me. The foods are really great and quite filling. I really love the coffee as it is strong and thick. The songs are nice too~ Overall, I'm pretty enjoying the foods and songs. I'm glad I managed to enjoy the foods here as I always see long queue during afternoon which is why I came at 8am that is their opening hours.

A pleasant first time visit. Had called up 1 week prior but was told the earliest reservation would be 3 weeks later😅 Advised to walk-in early instead. Already there was a queue at 9am on a weekday. Luckily we were seated after 15 minutes! Food was served promptly. Taste and presentation was good. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!

I feel like there's always a line here, but they manage it pretty well. The real draw of this place is that price to quality ratio. You can go to common man and get robbed for a 120 dollar brunch, or you can come here and be well satisfied. For 50 bucks. We first came here during lockdown so it was takeaway only, can't quite remember what everyone else got but I remember really liking my french toast. Recently we went back to dine in, and we got a rosti and a pancake. For sure, compared to other brunch places, it's not as fancy (I don't remember we got any mesclun salad type fanciness with our dishes, and likely nothing is farm to table organic what have you), and the choices are less (no 5 types of benedicts or benjamins what have you), but what we picked was great, not too large/heavy, and best part, coffee was perfect. Oh and, for better/worse, no 18 dollar truffle fries 🥲

Finally entered the 3rd time I came around to this place, with the previous attempts proven unsuccessful due to the long queue! Ordered their famed rosti and laksa pasta and oh my.. I was blown away by how well the rosti is cooked, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, YET not too soft that it all crumbles away when you go at it - perfection 👍🏻 The laksa pasta is a good marriage between the 2 cuisines, kudos to the well boiled pasta, light yet savoury laksa base, with a touch of pork lard to kick things up a notch 🤤 My only complaint would have to be the hot chocolate, as we expected a darker and richer version of it. Mocha was decent though, would definitely go for this moving forward. I will be back to try the pandan pancakes for sure, looks awesome! 😎 Update : Their French toast with bacon was awesome too! Must come back to try their eggs selection (+ala carte rosti) with pancakes the next time! Update 2 : Pandan pancakes were super flavourful + chocolate ice blended was good too!

Wish we discovered this gem much earlier! What have we been missing out on? Super yummy and savory dosas (the podi is so unique!). But the show stopper is the vada - these were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside. The chai was good as well, tasted very homemade. We also ordered the cardamom halwa as a dessert as this is rarely found in other Indian restaurants, perfect ending to the meal. Can’t wait to go back :)

Been wanting to try this place out.. but the seating is limited and can get too busy during peak hours. I thought the food and coffee were great.. the team were friendly too.. but they could do a bit more managing expectations when customers come in family of 3. I know its not easy to accommodate given current regulations, so I only ask for an explanation on possible scenarios (like 2 tables being far apart).. so we can decide whether to dine in.

Super nice place for breakfast. Very busy even on weekdays so best to arrive early. I think they have recently added the option to reserve. The seats outside is nice on a slightly cloudy morning. The banana almond toast was amazing, so was the ice blended pumpkin spice latte. The rosti was so-so. Will definitely visit again.

Came on a weekday morning so there wasn't much queue. Waited about 15min to get in. Ordered Basic B and truffle cream mushroom croissant! The sourdough bread was awesome, cream truffle mushroom was slightly too creamy for me though 😋 overall it's good!

Been here 3 timesss and always for the damn super nice potato 🥔 rosti!!! Best rosti I ever had in SG in my opinion!! Ordered the regular rosti set and you can taste the original flavour of potato fried to perfection! Truffle rosti is my favourite, you can try if you dont mind the strong truffle flavour (might be too overpowering). Besides, I've tried the beef stew which is nice but not outstanding, I suggest you can give the stout-glazed bacon french toast a try, quite nice but kinda sweet to me. I will go back for rosti and probably try their pasta next time! p.s. do not suggest ordering scramble egg on top of your order, very normal and small in portion for a $fiver $

Lovely Rösti on the menu with and without truffle mayonnaise, which go well with eggs for breakfast. Coffee is good and strong. It’s a small place with some outdoor seating possibilities, waiting is not too long as it turns over quickly.

Great place for brunch with limited options for vegetarians. They were able to accommodate my dietary restriction of vegetarian, without onions and garlic. I had the Truffle Scrambled Eggs. My gripe is this place doesn’t take reservation & they get busy on the weekend. We waited 1 hour before we finally got our table last Sunday. Also due to tight space and popularity, the place can get loud. Something to consider if you’re looking for a quiet(er) place. Otherwise, happy with the food and the friendly service. Please come up with a few more options for vegetarians!!

Great little spot. Decided to go here based on reviews and wasn't disappointed. Friendly and welcoming service for the time we were there. Food was delicious and really ordered through their app. Large servings and no issue to alter food for vegetarians. Definitely a place for breakfast while you are here.

Love their coffee but the food has just been alright so far, not sure why people would queue over an hour during the weekends for normal brunch fare! Would go if there wasn't a queue, but not for an hour surely. If you do go, the sea salt caramel latte is definitely a must-try! My favourite on the menu.

Went there with my hubby on a saturday afternoon after seeing NOC food king rated 3 stars for this cafe. It was a 1 hr 20 min queue on a raining day. Ordered some food which were highly recommended by food king. Verdict: laksa is average and don't deserve a long queue for it. My favourite dish is Shakshouka with bread. Very heavenly and comforting food. Latte is bitter but still taste good. Pandan pancake is delicious only if you eat it with the coconut sugar syrup. Plain if eat on its own. Coconut ice cream goes well with the waffle.

Love their rosti and dirty hojicha latte. Rosti is crispy and yummy. It taste nice even when not hot! The ice blended dirty hojicha or cold hojicha latte taste better than the hot version. Hot version not as fragrant, not sure why. Expect super long Q on weekend or when the Taiwanese eatery Eat 3 bowl next door is not open(Mon). Everyone end up Q-ing at Tolido. Tolido is close on Tue!

Weekends are jammed packed, service is good, food is decent but prices and the long queues don't make it very worth the effort. If there's no queue though, the problem is just the prices. Coffee is decent too.

Food was okay. The sea salt caramel latte though... Was incredible and unique, something that is hardly found at other cafes. However, still not worth the super long queue. Almost waited for 1 and a half hours just to dine in. Maybe next time will just tabao the latte if it's too crowded.

Was here at 10am and the queue was already snaking with so many people that we gave up and head to another cafe nearby. ===== 6 months from my previous attempt, I finally visited on a Monday afternoon. No queue at all since it is a weekday plus only the fully vaccinated are allowed to dine in. I have high expectations and that maybe why I was left disappointed. Despite the great reviews from others, my plate was nothing close to greatness. I ordered a truffle scramble egg. The brioche was so dry and over toasted that my throat hurts. The scramble eggs here have added cheese and truffle oil, which felt too excessive to me. The overall texture wasn’t runny but instead hard and felt overcooked. The side potato too was rubbery and once again excessive truffle oil and seasoning used. Overall, I didn’t enjoy my plate. Tried and tested. Not coming again.

Fortunate to get a table shortly after arrival. It was a rainy and cooling day and we took a seat outside. The environment and ambience was great. Definitely must try the laksa pasta and rosti. The pandan pancakes with coconut ice cream was great especially when you combine the dessert with Gula Melaka. It’s a pity that the shakshouka eggs.

09/05/21 Food is not bad and coffee is great. Price is reasonable though some of the items can be easily bought off the shelves. However, the queue is real bad if you are going there on a Sunday morning. It took me 1 hour to get a table for 4. The food don’t really worth the wait. Probably visit again when there isn’t a queue.

Yum yum yum!!!!! Everything was good 😊 the potato rosti, the cheesy sausage, the banana bacon french toast, the creamy truffle scrambled eggs... EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! We even loved the drinks we ordered the salted caramel frappe and the peppermint mocha shake! The only reason I gave it a 4star is because there was a long wait (>1hour) so I wish they took reservations. But I might come back soon because the food was sooooo worth it

Didn't have to wait too long for food to be served after ordering despite full capacity. Larger portion and slightly cheaper than other hipster cafe in the area.

I fell in love with the thosai here. Just the best I've had. Crispy on the outside, very fragrant with a very yummy mashed potato inside. Tried many of their other dishes too. Mostly good. Always a 20-30min wait. Inside the restaurant is very basic and clean. Order and pay upfront at the cashier before sitting.

They let us wait 30 minutes in the queue under the sun before letting us know that we couldn't enter with the stroller. They saw the stroller and they took note that we needed space for it, but when our turn came they said they don't allow strollers inside. My 4-month old was sleeping and even if she wasn't sleeping she definitely cannot sit on her own. Terrible service, it was one of my favorite places, but I'm never gonna come again.

“All types of western breakfasts available, with great coffee in accompaniment” Having dined here multiple times in the past, I feel compelled to leave a review given how standards have been largely consistent despite it becoming super popular. Had the BBB this time with a cup of cappuccino with an extra side of bacon cause why not, and it was really great. The sourdough toast was well done, and so was the scrambled eggs. The coffee as usual, was great and nothing to complain about. They’re running on a walk in basis and it can get crowded so if you are in a hurry, avoid coming during peak lunch/brunch/breakfast timings. Queues can get quite long.

Ordered rosti top with bacon (awesome) and avocado bruschetta for main. As for ☕ we had Cappuccino and salted caramel ice blended. Food was good except rosti was a little oily. Complimentary water for patron. Also, for those who is looking for pet friendly cafe, this will definitely be one of your option. However, do pop in early as only limited seats available. For big group, pls check on the reservation to avoid waiting time. They serve non halal food. Pork bacon and sausage is good. Not to forget the helpful and friendly service crew. Note: cashless payment method only.

Small serving western style foods. Limited choice on the menu. Always crowed, and need to be cheque up to 20 - 40.min for a table /seat. Some time you get seat very fast, if you didn't preference for waiting a seat in door. Thia cafe don't accept Cash payment. Using scan for ordering / credit card payment acceptable. Was here just for a coffee break with a croissant. 2.5/5 black coffee - taste more soury. Serve with plain water. 2.5/5 almond croissant - the croissant is the type with cake texture (mix together) so... It abit saggy / soft, not the Crunchy type. I still prefer without the cake texture and the type pastry (千层酥)with very Crunchy one.

Nice rosti. Pastas were slight. Very tight seatings esp over weekends. Don’t expect nice ambience, more a dine and go due to Q waiting outside. Once meals were finished, service staff would come to clear your plates. Service was good. Price point not exactly value for money given the lack of ambience.

Let me tell you, I enjoyed this brunch so much to the point that I think I can brunch there every week for the rest of my life and not get bored. It has a very trendy interior, and the waiters are very helpful and friendly. We got the truffle scrambled eggs and the prawn and scallop special scrambled eggs. The eggs was creamy, perfectly cooked and the combination of truffle on one dish and mixed seafood on the other was like an explosion of flavor in my mouth, simply amazing. For dessert, we got the pandan cakes and ice blended salted caramel latte and ice blended mocha, which is the restaurant's signature and it was the best ice blended drink I ever tried. It was creamy, rich in flavors and just satisfies your taste buds The prices are reasonable, especially for the service and the quality of the ingredients used, maybe I will be back one day

Servers gave our food to another table who came in later than us and were not apologetic at all. Furthermore they mistook our order for takeaway when it was clearly dine-in (we scanned QR code on table to place order). Ended up our “takeaway” food was sitting at the counter for the longest time and our food was served cold.

Great place for hanging out with friends. The coffee was great - we had seconds. The food was decent too. The pandan pancake with coconut ice cream was very enjoyable. Fluffy and the flavours come out well. The gula melaka is served on the side so you can determine the level of sweetness for yourself. The avocado and tomato bruschetta was not bad, but it was a little too tart for me. Order is via QR code. The staff were attentive and friendly :)

My go-to cafe for reliably delicious and reasonably priced food. Coffee is a bit of a hit-and-miss (Douglas the boss makes it the best) so if the consistency improves, there is literally nothing else to complain about other than the long queues that are a testament to Tolido's popularity. Highly highly recommend their prawn laksa pasta. I've tried many others and they've all paled in comparison.

Visited Tolido’s on a Thursday morning for brunch and it was packed with tourists! My favourite was the Truffle Scrambled Eggs and Salted Caramel Ice Blended Mocha! Portion for the mains were big and damnn… it tasted amazing!! Best of all, pricing of their food and drinks were super reasonable as compared to other cafes.. 2 pax (2 mains + 2 drinks) for only $56! They have lunch sets and promotions going on as well. This cafe is now my no.1 go-to cafe! Highly recommend!

Unhappy with our treatment. Called ahead and were told we didn't need to reserve or go on the waiting list and that we could easily get a table for 2. We show up and are told there is a waiting list and it will be 30 minutes. Okay, no problem. One hour later, we're still waiting. We ask how much longer and are told 30 more minutes. I don't mind waiting, but don't lie or mislead about the wait time. If we knew it'd be this long, we would have come back another time. They could have easily told us on the phone there would be a wait. If coming here, I suggest calling a day before to reserve. Otherwise, if you come at peak hours, expect to wait 45 mins to an hour and a half

Very disappointed with the service here. Wanted to try to food here and had it saved in my maps for the longest time. Finally travelled all the way down only to receive rude remarks from the waitress here (she braided half her hair that day). Eventhough it was a really long queue, my partner and I decided to go through with our plan to wait in line. We understand that we need to have social distancing, and that was what we did, standing more than 1 metre away from the person infront of us. But the waitress came by and abruptly said to us that we need to have social distancing. I replied saying that we are quite far apart from the person infront already. She proceeded to say that we need to be 3 tiles away from each other, and I looked down, 5 tiles. So I replied saying that I believe we are more than 3 tiles away. She then rudely replied "Ya? The person infront needs to move back too", which of course I would have understood if you said that in the first place. Instead, she made it sound like I wasn't practicing social distancing which of course I would have to question. So to which I said, oh, I thought you were saying that I don't have any social distancing, and she said "I think you are too sensitive." And she walked away. What even.... The whole experience was spoilt even before we enter the cafe. It was so unnecessary and rude. People would have understood if she was to communicate properly. Very arrogant and offput by the service here. The people waiting in line behind us also left after hearing the waitress say that. What a disappointing experience.

Amazingly fluffy pancakes, the rosti portion is huge, the cheesy hotdogs were great, service was great too, nothing to complain about except maybe the use of disposable cups and ketchup packets which doesn't compromise taste in any way, and the possibly 2 hour long queue during weekends ? Do make a reservation or just be prepared to walk around the area while waiting ?

One of the better cafes in Singapore. Been here a few times and they have been pretty consistent. I recommend their French toast and rosti. Not a fan of the baked eggs (too dry) and laksa pasta. Fair pricing without service charge. Service was good as well on a weekend morning. Will definitely return!

Coffee is good but they can’t manage the crowd post-Circuit Breaker. I drove past, saw the crowd but was craving their coffee so did a Grabfood self-pick up while I go grab some other food. I arrived later than the indicated pick-up time by Grabfood yet they had not prepared my coffee and made me wait 15 minutes in the searing heat while they prioritised restaurant orders. Wait staff kept promising “2 more minutes” but they turned out to be lies. If Tolido’s Espresso Nook doesn’t get their act together, I’ll just skip it. It’s not worth the wait.

Tried the Cafe on a Wednesday afternoon about 12pm, the queue was amazingly long and took 1hr to get in. But I would say its worth the wait as the food quality is superb especially the drinks which are made by professional barista, awesomely flavourful, bold and smooth.

  • 4/5 Nicholas Goh Shyan W. 3 years ago on Google
Queued 1.5 hours to eat over here. Food was decent, but not worth the long wait. Not that it is bad, but the queue can be quite a put off. My partner and I ordered the Laksa Pasta and the Stout Glazed French Toast, along with an ice lemon tea and a sea salt caramel latte. Laksa pasta was interesting, but just tasted like the noodles in a normal laksa was substituted with pasta. Stout glazed french toast was not bad too. Bacon was cooked nicely with a crunch, french toast was soft and fluffy inside. However, I was disappointed with the sea salt caramel latte. It sounded much nicer than it tasted. A simple cold brew might have been a better choice.

Came down with a 3 stars rating expectation from NOC. But felt that its a lil over rated. Seems over priced. Rostti feels meh ($17...), Bacon Toast is alright but won’t repurchase ($16...)

  • 4/5 Benjamin F. 3 years ago on Google
First time customer today and wish I’d discovered this gem earlier. Space is small so expect to wait a good 30-40 minutes. We got there at opening and already it was full. Was the wait worth it? Absolutely. Ordered the Stout Glazed French Toast with Bacon and the Rosti with Corned Beef and coffees to boot. The French toast was warm and fluffy throughout and the stout glazing came across tasting more like what you’ll get for coffee pork ribs at a Tze char stall. It’s hard to screw up Bacon and this one was crispy enough. One could tell there was a good level of thought that went into the creation of this dish. Must try. Rosti portion was sizeable and fried nicely unlike the rush job wet version which you’ll find at Marche. Corned beef was a little dry but having the sunny side egg on the side helped. Ordered flat whites and they were strong in flavour but yet not overpowering to let the sweetness of the steamed milk balance it off. Service was perfunctory but hey there’s no GST or service charge which brings us to the pricing. The prices offers tremendous value given the portion and quality of the food. All in I’ll definitely be back!

Reservations are available on weekdays so it's good to call ahead as the queue on normal days already super long. Do book early as the seating is quite limited due to social distancing. Food in general is good but I wouldn't say it's mind-blowing. Out of all that I've tried, the rosti with corned beef was my favourite as it's done really well. Pandan pancake was not bad.

We were really excited to dine here after great reviews from food king (NOC). Travelled all the way to lavender from the west and we were greeted with an arrogant server at the main entrance (he tied a pony tail that day). Told us to write down our contact number and after that, he used an extremely sarcastic tone to show us that their waiting list is very long. We understand that it’s a long wait and we initially didn’t mind waiting if the food was good, but the guy’s attitude was simply off-putting. He was arrogant and seems like he was trying to tell us ‘hey, we have alot of customers and we don’t need your money’. In the end, we dined at the taiwanese restaurant beside them instead with much better service. After finishing our food at the taiwanese restaurant, we wanted to give him the benefit of doubt (thinking that perhaps we heard wrongly) so we went back and requested to see the wait list to see if it’s our turn soon to get some dessert. We remained polite to him the whole time but he just stared at us as if we did something wrong and slammed the wait list in front of us. We were so off-put by him that we left immediately. We just received a call from the restaurant and no longer to our surprise anymore, the staff (not sure which one of them is it now) on the phone just very rudely asked, “HELLO you still want your table?” Such horrible service and arrogance is not reflective of the amount of buzz this restaurant gets.

Reservations available. Best to make them prior if going during lunch time because we waited for an hour for a table as their reservations were already fully booked. Customer service is perfect! Nothing to pick on - staff was friendly, polite, pro-active and attentive. Environment real chill as well. Enjoyed it for my Sunday brunch. Food wise, satisfying but definitely some small areas for improvement. My ice chocolate had just the right amount of chocolate for me. Love it. However, like always, it’s difficult to find good ice latte; their ice latte is a little too bland for my partner’s liking. The banana almond French toast is a little too sweet for our liking. But the truffle scrambled eggs was real delicious. You could smell that heavy truffle smell right when they’re serving it to you. Super fragrant and tastes just as fragrant too. The sides that went along with it: brioche toast was toasted just right (but would have appreciated some sea salt butter to go along with it), the fresh salad’s dressing tasted yummy too, but the mushrooms and baked potatoes were too dry for my liking. Price wise, I think it’s real reasonable. We paid less than $50 in all for a really satisfying meal. Thanks for the awesome meal!!

Tried Tolido’s over the weekend, it was excellent! We had a flat white, a Rosti, and their famous pandan pancakes. The coffee has plenty of character (a tad strong), but probably a preference thing. Rosti was perfectly cooked, and the pancakes were fluffy and tasty. Zero complaints, it was a great meal!

Good coffee. The default for the white is a double shot. Uses beans from Yahava and milk from Meiji. The latest cup was robust with a heavy body but the flavour, as in the previous visit, was mainly chocolaty and less rounded than before.

  • 3/5 N B. 4 years ago on Google
The food is quite below par actually. No idea what’s happing with the rating for this place. Baked eggs royale felt too oily and burned. Rösti was quite bland. The nicest thing was probably the drinks: coffee and banana milkshake.

  • 4/5 Brenda C. 4 years ago on Google
Pandan pancake with vanilla/coconut ice cream was on point, awesome!! Rosti was good too! Coffee was ok. However, went to tolidos a couple of times, tried different scrambled eggs, was super disappointed with the inconsistency of the texture of the scrambled eggs. Not sure if it’s the result of different chefs, however as a popular go-to, Tolido’s should at least maintain a consistent standard. EVERY TIME we go the eggs just seem off. :/

10/10 for the food, food was well-done and the waiting time for the food is about 20minutes, drinks were served pretty fast. Definitely would come back again if I happen to be there at around 2pm since the queue would have died down by then. Would recommend patrons to go there around late afternoon after 2pm, that's when you don't have to queue for more than 30minutes. Went there on a Sunday, 12.30pm and waited for around 40-50minutes. The tiger laksa pasta was good, prawns were really fresh. Drinks were also not too sweet.

Writing this review even though the taste was undescribable, out of this world!! Laksa pasta should be the only pasta that exists 🤤🤤🤤 Rosti was crispy & delicious 😳😳 We had the Iced Sea Salt Caramel Latte and Ice Blended Sea Salt Caramel Mocha! The sea salt and caramel in the beverages were prominent and tasted great! The ice blended was on the sweeter side, wouldn't recommend to those that do not have a sweet tooth.

Laksa prawn pasta was sooooo good. Better than the og laksa. Has a spicy kick to it so not for anyone with Low spice tolerance. The bacon French toast was extremely soft and fluffy. Easily one of the best cafes in Singapore. Loved their fusion cafe food which suits the local palette. Laksa pasta was perfectly al dente, and had wafting with the scent of curry leaves. Prawns were very fresh and bouncy. The bits of bacon in the pasta were an interesting added touch. Pandan pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet. Patience is key to dine here. Long queues even for weekday brunch - partly also because the space is really small. Food will also take considerable amount of time to arrive. Staff were attentive and very polite. Highly recommended.

Food & coffee is nice however not the environment & service. If u make appt at the time n u reach earlier, there's no way u can go in when there's next seat available so kind of rigid. (Maybe there's designated seat for u so if someone is still there then have to wait for them to leave) waited outside for half an hour n they didn't offer seats too so is v.hot. As they're quite popular thus it sells by itself. No cash payment & even if u buy their coffee brew (bought 8 bottles) no dry ice offered nor cooler bag available. I guess if purchase 5 & above, something can be done especially sometimes where customers after buying is not gg straight home. Lastly when u order dessert, they do not offer serve later unless u order later which mean u got to re-queue (bear in mind long q) & music is very loud (maybe is the intention not for u to stay too long. U R ONLY ALLOWED 90 MINS. ( gd in a way where others can get the seats as their q is always there)

Price of food is very decent and very tasty. I ordered the Rosti with Cheesy Sausages and was very happy with the $14 price. Coffee was slightly on the expensive end (cold brew) plus it was a very small bottle. Went on a Sunday late brunch. Had a short queue (queue steadily streamed in after 11am). The service staff were really friendly and attentive which was great! Ordered the prawn laksa pasta, banana almond french toast with bacon, rosti with smoked brat, cheese mac and cheese and pandan pancake. Also ordered the chai spiced latte. My fav was the laksa pasta, followed by the rosti and mentaiko mac and cheese. The mac and cheese can get a bit jelat if eating it alone. Wasn't a big fan of the almond french toast as found it a bit sweet, but the french toast was really fluffy, and has a generous serving which was nice, great for the sweet tooth. The pandan pancake was alright, can give it a miss if you're too full. The spiced chai latte lacked the spice and was too milky. Would come back for their laksa pasta though!

Have been to Tolidos's a few times and they have been consistently good. Do expect to wait for a seat though. The shaken ice lemon tea is still a personal favourite of mine, the right amount of sweetness and a refreshing lemon taste. The rosti is also another favourite of mine. Crispy/slightly charred on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It is served with an egg sunny side up and a choice of sausages/salmon. The beef stew is a new item on the menu. The beef was tender and carrots very sweet but I felt that the broth lack alittle depth/richness. Still a really great place, happy to see them doing well.

Went on a weekday afternoon, not crowded likely due to restrictions. Stout french toast was super soft and good, not sickeningly sweet. Mentaiko mac and cheese was surprisingly a good combo and enjoyed every bit of it! Be sure to squeeze the lemon otherwise the mentaiko would be overwhelming. Rosti was crunchy, though corned beef was slightly dry and bland. Warm, lively place. Can understand why it would be crowded on a weekend for brunch. Prices include gst and svc. Unfortunately, they only allow walk-ins; would come back again if the place doesnt return to its normal crowd!

A heaven for vegetarian! We went here on Tuesday. Each day they have a special menu. On Tuesday there was madur bada (a must try) ,soo crispy and non oily and full of flavours! Akki roti ,a light aromatic rice crispy chapati One of the other unique dish to try is dal vada, where vada is served in dal, which makes it non spicy and flavourful And dahi vadass are also a must try , but you get it only if ur lucky as they get over so soon!

MTR here in Singapore is the closest place to authentic taste and flavor of Bangalore darshinis you can ever get to. Expect long queues during peak hours but the wait is worth it!

Visited today. Tuesday Morning, everything is fresh because Monday it is closed. Had Ghee Podi Dosa and Onions Rava Uthapam. Lovely presentation and delicious. Butter Milk drink was wonderful. The Vadas were tasty. Sambhar had lovely fragrance. Chutney was great. Service was excellent. Coffee was served at the right time towards end of dining. Enjoyed. Must visit to enjoy South Indian delicacies.

A truly excellent option irrespective of whether you choose to opt for the very reasonably priced food delivery service or actually prefer to dine in. Extremely efficient, well packaged food, and more importantly, it arrives hot enough to not require any re-heating. A great menu with lots of daily specials - the vanghi bhath (brinjal rice) and buns (a sweet variation on puri) are truly exceptional. The taste compares very favourably to the main Bangalore outlet. Thoroughly satisfied every single time I've eaten at the restaurant or (more recently) ordered from it.

This place is good. Great hygiene. But the food is not as it was. Rasam sambar had salty rasam with a lot of rasam/sambar powder on 5th Sep. Too expensive eventhough quality of some items is good like rava idly is really good consistently. I always thought owners or some manager test each item especially like sambar or rasam or chutney a quick sanity check to ensure there is no excess salt or spice.

We are regular customers of MTR. Visit them almost every week or two. We also do delivery. The food has always been good and very nice. One issue happened during delivery. The problem was the delivery was done on motorbike and hence it was not allowed at the Hotel. I had to leave my family and travel to the Casino about 2 to 3 stops from my hotel to pick up the food. Pavan, Param and Manager Shakti called us for the inconvenience, sorted things out. Overall happy. Will recommend MTR to friends and family.

Authentic Karnataka style food. Exclusive veg cuisine. Most menu items they have retained as available in Bangalore MTR. Food is always sumptuous and weekends special do not miss. Bisibele Bath is their signature dish across the globe. Neer Dose is another signature dish which is available only in this place for whole of Singapore. Try it.

A favourite hunt for South Indian cuisine in Singapore. The Uttapams are delectable anf I am still wondering about the secret of the mildly spicy sambhar. Didn't know of such a variety of dosas before I stepped into this joint. I wish they had more branches across thr city.

pancakes were not fluffy and had a weird texture to them. The bacon was crispy but it was slightly hard as well. Cheesy sausage was just the regular sausage one can expect from ntuc. Food here is decently priced if you get the lunch set which comes with a drink, dessert and main for $22. This place gets crowded with limited indoor seating. The brownie was pretty good and decadent and that was probably the best thing I tried.

  • 4/5 Chermine T. 2 years ago on Google
Finally gave Tolido's a try after many many years. Got the iced peppermint mocha and rosti with cheesy sausage. The drink was great and refreshing, tastes good. Rosti was pretty nice, good texture throughout, just a tad too oily for my own liking. Got it with scrambled eggs which were done runny. Very buttery taste, would be great with some pepper.

My favourite brunch spot in the area. Tolido always attracts and long queue and that’s because the food is so good. I particularly like the pancakes and coffee. Will be back again soon!

Extremely nice salted caramel latte, staff is friendly. Food presentation is great but the taste is a little lacking. Pancake has taste of flour and a little too dry, no fragrance. Bacon and sausages are nice. Overall still great experience

Truly one of the best cafes in Singapore. The food is excellent and not very expensive, service is awesome, and if you get to sit outside in nice weather- that's all you need to make your weekend right. I personally feel it's great they don't take reservations on weekends. Looking forward to coming back again for sure. Their sea salt caramel latte is absolutely amazing. Also ordered spagetthi, avocado toast and eggs schashwivk..

we were in the area looking fr brunch places to hide from the rain and so i guess we were lucky to be able to walk-in without having to wait at all on a Tuesday morning? :) but we did notice a crowd building up around noon time. i must say we had a lovely time there indeed. both the mains we ordered were perfectly done particularly the scrambled eggs ahh so moist yet so fluffy. as you can see, the portion is incredibly huge and generous. dirty hojicha latte is a total hit that i almost wanted to order another one to go! staffs are super friendly and attentive. service is excellent. will definitely be back again as soon as they’re done renovating!! :)

I walked past this place thrice in the past because of its usual snaking queue, but finally made it into the cafe last weekend when there was no queue early in the morning ✨ The truffle eggs were amazing and the portion was huge for my small morning stomach. My friend loved his rosti - which is good, coming from a great cook himself. We loved their ice blended too - great for a warm morning! The staff we interacted with were super friendly, which is a huge plus. Also, note that there is a dining limit of one hour (iirc) so do hurry or you WILL be reminded to leave asap!

Ambience is nice , food is good but pricey, place is clean , staff is energetic n accommodating, so if u don't mind paying a little more they got good coffee, dishes which are not very common but are above average I will say and creative desserts which are interesting . Once awhile its ok to pamper .

Visited on a Thursday afternoon and ordered the Rosti and Shashouka Eggs as well as a cup of Peppermint Mocha and Iced Latte (not in picture). Rosti was tasty and had a crispy exterior and was well seasoned. Shashouka Eggs were such a delight, and full of flavour.

  • 4/5 Eve T. 2 years ago on Google
This is my second visit. Had the rossti with cheese sausage and a long black. Food is decent, service is average but the music is always very loud. The place is small so don't come in big groups, ideally 2 pple, only a few tables available for 4 pple. Usually crowded due to the limited seats, be prepared to queue

  • 5/5 Jingshen L. 2 years ago on Google
I've been coming by this spot lately for breakfast. Nothing better than rosti served fresh, buttery and with a side of eggs. Great service crew too! Thank you.

Excellent customer service and nice truffle scrambled eggs. Coffee were very good too. Managed to get a big table for 6 despite arriving at full house. Such unassuming cafe at one glance is actually a good place to be at for any occasion. Highly recommended.

Dropped by on a Tuesday afternoon around 3+ and did not have to queue to get a seat. The interior isn’t very big and it was 80% full despite it being a weekday afternoon. Was pleasantly surprised there’s a 1-1 coffee promotion on Tuesdays. There’s also a 1-1 ice blended drinks promotion on Thursdays and weekday lunch set from 12-2pm which looks pretty worth at $25++. The coffee was served in a large cup. The first cup of coffee tasted a little burnt and the second cup was much better. Both had beautifully poured latte art which is a huge plus. Staff on that day was also nice to greet upon entering and upon leaving, something that doesn’t happen too often.

As an Australian resident, good coffee can be hard to come by overseas. This place was brilliant. Coffee was excellent and food was too. French toast and pancakes were incredibly fluffy and great flavours. Orange mocha by the way is insanely good. Will be back!

Ordered the Shakshouka eggs with bratwurst. Tasty middle Eastern dish with crispy toasted bread to dip and slurp up the sauce. Their prawn laksa pasta was a lemak but not spicy version. Good portion. Staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive. Order and pay through QR code. Easy

Came here on a Friday afternoon around 11am and there was no queue but few foods was sold out from the menu. Ordered Basic B and a cup of latte. Decent coffee and the food was great, love their bread. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Lovely quaint place at the corner of the roads and HDB. There's always a crowd so be prepared to wait around 15-20mins minimally. Must order: - rosti was properly fried and very tasty. - pandan pancake with coconut ice cream, while on the slightly eggy side was something that I really enjoyed and liked. Not forgetting the coffee was great, beans were nice and milk was done to the right amount. Unfortunately, the braised beef felt abit underwhelming for us. But may just be our taste buds

Pleasant experience having brunch here with my sis ytd. The foods were decent and big portion, not to mention they were served pretty fast too. The only complaint was the place got too crowded most time during weekend, then would be difficult to get a seat and could be too noisy to talk with your brunch mate.

  • 5/5 Isaac S. 7 months ago on Google
This is probably my 3rd or 4th time here, and it's still as crowded as ever. But this is testament to how good it is, considering it was established even before Covid. We ordered the rosti with bratwurst, and the prawn laksa pasta, both of which are their signature popular items, and they were so good! The rosti, especially, was done to perfection and I kept wanting more! There is always a bit of a wait, but it is worth it. If you come around lunch time on a weekend, be prepared to wait for an hour (but they are usually able to get you a seat before the stipulated time). Just be sure to head in to ask to be placed on the waitlist once you arrive. There is no doubt that I will come back here again for all the yummy food!

  • 5/5 Foong Kin W. 6 months ago on Google
They have improved their food and drinks. Had a great time here. The wait of 30 minutes was worth it. Must try their rosti. Crispy and delicious. The staff are friendly and responsive. It will be one of my frequented cafes. Highly recommended. Their ice blended drinks is thick and flavourful unlike some of the franchise cafes.

  • 5/5 Shane 5 months ago on Google
I must say that the standard hasnt dropped after all these years. Laksa prawn pasta still tastes as good as it used to. A great place that deserves a revisit for a meal or a catch up with friends to share its savory or sweet dishes on the menu. On suggestion though is if the eatery can include some healthy options especially in its drinks section - for those who are not that into caffeine and sugary food.

  • 5/5 Anne C. 5 months ago on Google
Honestly one of the brunch places I’ve been to in SG. Not a fan of the black coffee (too acidic for me) but I loved the FOOD. The potato rœsti, pandan pancake, and big breakfast was so satisfying:)

This was my first visit to this cafe. I had the impression that this café was always crowded with people and young people. I ordered the laksa pasta as my lunch set. I was surprised that the coffee was served in a chilled glass. It was delicious coffee. The pasta was also tasty with a good amount of shrimp and was served quickly. And I chose the brownie for dessert. The brownie was served warm and was perfectly balanced and very tasty. I would visit this place again.
