Passed by this place often and saw many raves about this place on blogs and even rating in Google was high. Finally tried them, cake (size of cupcake) was small and expensive ($7), taste alright though, there was no price tag, so myself to blame for not checking. Coffee was small and very diluted. Had salmon wasabi croissant ($9) and ham & cheese croissant ($7.50), fillings was not generous, the lettuce tricked into looking full, nothing to shout about. I don't see a reason to go there again.

Read a couple of positive reviews about their croissant and coconut latte so decided to give it a try. My final verdict is, overpriced and so so only lorrr... Latte tastes just ok, but overpriced for a small cup of 'specialty' coffee. I finished the coffee before the food arrived 'cuz it's so little... I had PB&J croissant, was good, with generous amount of peanut butter. My partner had Ham&cheese sandwich croissant was really disappointing for a price of $8 (or 7), cheese was hard, cold and dry, plus 1 slice of ham n 1 slice of lettuce in the croissant, it was just.. dry. Ambience was ok, got nice music, quiet, but honestly I won't spend this price again for a brunch in a HDB shophouse cafe location like this.

Used to love the mocha here as it was strong, but today, it was kinda mild/ bland with a rather slight chocolatey taste. Coffee was OK. The croissants are yummy. The vibe of this cafe is good. Great for a chitchat with friends, to do some work or just to wind down. Saw others who ordered coconuts, which surprised me. Ha.

Came by for a pre-meeting coffee, and was pleased with the drinks here. Chocolate was okay, nothing to shout about. Mocha had a fair balance between the coffee and chocolate. At $5 a cup, can’t complain much about the drinks.

Located at Bedok, Percolate is one of the places, hidden and served amazing desserts, hot drinks and contemporary cuisine. The dishes are 'comfort food' with a local twist — from their range of croissant sandwiches to their Duck Breast Congee and Prawn Curry Mash. And a twist to their desserts — Cold Brew Cheng Tng. I enjoyed the coconut Chocolate, served in hot and with stylish designs. We encountered friendly staff who welcome and wishes you. If you are looking for fusion / specialty coffee and a local dessert, try this shop that showcases their knowledge in the craft.

My Long Black is $4.90. The coffee aroma and taste is good. The brownie is not too sweet to my liking!

We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere in the cafe. They offer an interesting menu. We ordered the dirty chai and a peanut butter chocolate banana cake. Will definitely come again to try out the other item in the menu next time.

My second time here and they serve a good cup of coffee I must say. Can’t go wrong with la marzocco. My flat white came with a beautiful latte art and it was balanced, nutty and full bodied. The iced coffee was mildly acidic and very refreshing. The cafe was packed on an afternoon with so many people from all walks of life. I like the vibe and the walls are filled with featured artworks from budding artists. It gets a bit noisy and cramp. I saw some ordering hot food. Maybe I will try next.

Good place to chill but unfortunately no wifi :( Carrot walnut cake was not bad, seems like they have good proper ingredients - satisfied. But I think I paid $7 for this though. Will come back to try their other food and coffee next time and see how it is.

a great combination of waffle and long black . the long black suit people whom prefer their coffee to be on the sour side . i am ok with it when go with the waffle . coffee is aroma and price is reasonable. i like the price listed on the menu as final instead of those annoying gst %

Randomly found this cafe since May while I was nearby and immediately got hooked by its cosy homie tone. Was even happier to know they change the artpiece occasionally after a few visits. The Sun & The Moon was my fav pieces! Became my all time happy place to spend time with myself since then. Lovely space with great music n friendly staff as always. Keep it up 💪🏻😊

Excellent coffee. Default for all whites is a single shot. This latest 7 oz white, a double shot made with Guatemala El Panal beans roasted by Nylon and Meiji milk, had a robust fruity and chocolaty flavour.

This place is located under a HDB and It can be quite crowded ( I went on a Saturday). I was planning to go there for a little cheat meal so I got the banana loaf with peanut and Mocha, it was very nice. I will be back again to try out some other food in their menu. If you live near the east go try this place.

5 stars 5 stars! The entire setting of the cafe is very well executed, from the solid offering of coffee and tea to the creative food menu. Particularly like the PBJ sandwich. Definitely a must visit for anyone who is within the Bedok neighbourhood. Friendly staff with excellent service. Highly recommended for brunch and high tea!

Randomly found this cafe from google map. Unexpectedly their croissant is great. I ordered their recommended peanut croissant, it looked simple but it was the combination of soft and a little crunchy. Soft in term of easy to cut it into small pieces. The portion is not too big but just right. Coffee is not what i expected, but maybe i didn't stir the sediment at the bottom, will give it a try again. The carrot cake not bad too, the lemon on top added value to the overall.

Mainly for rating the food and coffee, I ordered a latte and croissant. The coffee didnt suit my tasting, it is too milky and I cannot really taste the coffee. Honestly, I am very puzzled why neighbourhood cafe charge the same pricing as CBD area, I thought with lower rental cost it should help bring down the pricing of coffee and food. I am not impressed. With the same price, I rather dined in Tiong bahru bakery because their crossiant is damn nice. This one, really so-so.

A nice small cafe (hence not much seats) in the heartland. Had their coconut latte which is not bad but what i love is the banana loaf (hope I did not spell it wrong), it’s with nuts, berries, grapes, banana (obviously) and peanut butter. Taste so gd adding together!!! I would say it’s a must try when you are there. Oh but I find the lit ginger latte too diluted (it was a take away so maybe the taste changes?).

Dropped into here as I was nearby but already had lunch prior. The place was busy with both students and people catching up. Ordered the croissant with sausage and a flat white. The coffee was strong which is great. The croissant was a touch underwhelming as it was a cheap sausage. Go for the coffee and maybe avoid the sausage croissants.

Initially thought this were one of the overhyped cafe, but once we went in, it was lovely, staff there were friendly. Then here comes the nuke, the curry mayo Croissant were absolutely delicious, simply one of the best after taste I’ve enjoyed in a Croissant. Cold White were unique in taste, absolutely refreshing. Price were in fact quite acceptable, love the vibe, will definitely come down again, wife enjoyed the moment.

It's my second time here and this place is even better than the first! The jaffa cake (which I am having as I write this) is both delicious and light, and the flat white is probably the best I have had in years. Plus, service is top notch with everyone being really kind and attentive. Also the atmosphere is chill and relaxing. Please come try this café ♥️

Have largely enjoyed my visits to this neighbourhood cafe (live a stone’s throw away). Cosy and not too big, but comfortable. Coffee was good and affordable! Duck breast congee also tasted great but for the portion, it was slightly overpriced. My friend really enjoyed the croissant — might have to give that a try next time. Would give the cafe 5 stars (and visit more often) if there was wifi!

The croissant at this place is absolutely delightful. It has a nice, crispy texture that pairs perfectly with my hot chocolate. Speaking of which, the coconut chocolate hot drink. It is a delicious combination of flavors, with just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee shop has a cozy ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The warm lighting, comfortable seating, and soft background music create a relaxing environment to enjoy your coffee and treat. It's a great place to unwind or catch up with friends. Overall, I highly recommend this coffee shop for its tasty croissants, delightful coconut chocolate hot drink, and cozy atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to start your day or have a peaceful break.

Their Banana loaf was crazy!!! Super good with peanut butter and the grapes as a nice touch. They were very welcoming even though I came really close to closing time and they were visibly packing up to close. Nice cosy spot in the heartlands of Bedok.

Tried a Red Honey Ethiopian (Yaye Cherico) from Onyx, brewed with the flower dripper. One of the most complex cups I’ve had ever. It was hard to pinpoint what exactly I was tasting. Floral and fruity with a forward tartaric acidity. Pears and white grapes. Medium body. Medium finish of cooked white fruit. Super yummy.

Staff obviously forgotten or served our order to those behind us. We waited for 20mins before we check knowing something is wrong. The coffee was served within 3 mins, Seeing those customers who is behind us served the same croissant that we had ordered. The staff should just admit is his overlook and mistake rather than give excuses like busy and they are before us knowing that we saw them behind us. Their management need to improve. Not a good experience there when the coffee turns cold and two lady who just order take away also had taken their stuff within 5 mins, and is also before us.

What a gem nestled between Thai eateries and a coffee shop in Bedok. Love their peanut butter choco banana cake and their iced white. Their iced white and mocha are served in plastic bottles, even if you’re dining in. I get it that it’s chilled (without diluting the milk with ice) and makes for great take out but maybe we can save the environment a little with glass bottles for dine-in patrons?

Percolate! I like the particularly apt name AND that it’s near the Bedok central post office because I get to have breakfast there if I need a parcel collected. Went there for said reason and really enjoyed the ambience - comes across as cosy, warm yet stylish with the modish wood interior design. I had the recommended green curry and cheese croissant - was pleasantly surprised at the combination and taste. Though not the heartiest of choices, I enjoyed my meal, washed down with a nice bottle of white coffee. All in all, Percolate is one of those places I’d visit frequently if I lived closer and wanted a place to hang out either on my own or with a friend - it seems a good venue for a quiet meeting or a solo afternoon of introspection.

Small but cosy place with amazing dessert and coffee! The staff are very organised in managing the long queues due to the Covid-19 measures. The price for the desserts is reasonable and great quality - cakes were moist and croissant is dense and filled with chocolate. The toilet could be better maintained and the air-con may be a bit stuffy though. Overall, a great experience and repeat customer!

Really nice cozy place to chill and catch up with friends. Besides main dishes, they also sell lovely croissants. I tried the fishcake laksa croissant which seems to be new on the menu and it was really yummy. I have yet to try the Hae Bee Hiam one which everyone raves about. The white cold brew was really nice too. Coffee + Milk, just how I like it.

I’m Glad that Percolate coffee is located slightly off from the Bedok heartland. The cosiness of the interior makes conversation with your partner/friends/family lighthearted. The coffee beans used were good (they got their beans from Nylon and HM). Both beans have great aroma and flavour which causes their white(flat white) to taste perfect. I tried their ham and cheese croissant as my side and my honest opinion, it’s nothing fantastic, it just goes well with my coffee. If you are a coffee lover and live at the East, do drop by here as they sell a varieties of items, ranging minor figures products to coffee beans too. Overall: 5/5 ambience + coffee.

(Translated by Google) Buy latte, coffee beans, and pastries at takeout. Because I am particular about beans, the scent is completely different. The beans themselves are expensive, but they also have a deeper taste and are overwhelmingly delicious compared to other stores. Expensive for a place where the cakes and coffee are tiny. The Staff who served me wasn't familiar with his coffee as he couldn't recommend me a coffee that I'd like even when I shared what it was I was looking for. In the end I had to read the entire menu. I would have walked out of the place is not for the fact that i was meeting my friend there.

Cosy cafe and the smell of coffee just greets you as you walk in. Not a fan of the coffee cause it was too acidic (ordered a long black) but the moist carrot cake made up for it.

This place has not so friendly staff. I do not frequently visit cafe but this is one of the worst places. Didn’t enjoy my visit at all. Wanted a romantic cup of hot chocolate with my other half but was denied the pleasure of that.

Hi guys, the manager in black round spectacles didn’t allow us as 3 people to order 2 drinks , because they told us as it was the weekend so we had to order a drink each. Would appreciate that there would be signs going around. Also if you guys wanted a fresh cup of ice white being served, please expect a bottle of pre-made iced white being served to you without even a cup of ice on the side. The service was terrible and inexperienced staff, terrible cafe service overall.

  • 4/5 Quince P. 4 years ago on Google
Percolate is to Bedok what Creamier was to Toa Payoh. A cosy environment for people-watching while I work on my writing projects. This, I believe, is the unspoken appeal of neighbourhood cafés: indulging in bourgeois habits while comfortably nestled in the heartlands, not the bustling CBD. The menu is rather comprehensive for such a small establishment. Prices seem pegged to Starbucks; a little expensive for the small portions, but the target audience will gladly pay. Percolate will never be my go-to coffee spot for a variety of reasons, but it is definitely on my list of options in the Bedok area.

Hae bee hiam croissant is a must try ☺️ You get a different experience with every bite, depending on which part of the dish is of a greater proportion of your bite :) the buttery fragrance hits you first when you bite into the crisp flaky skin of the fluffy croissant, followed by the spicy savoury hae bee hiam taste that will linger in your mouth for long as you devour the entire dish heh. Melted cheese found within further brings out the richness of the entire dish, where the parts with lettuce provides some fresh respite from :D Ambience of the cafe is great too :”) get a window seat on rainy days to watch the traffic and people go by while you enjoy a good cup of coffee ☺️👍 Weekdays: 10.30am-9.30pm Weekends: 9.00am-9.30pm

really delicious duck congee (although i would have preferred it with more congee and without the nuts in it but that's persona preference, every bite had a big chunk of duck!) and girlfriend had the shrooms truffle croissant. it was pretty overwhelmed with the truffle (oil?), but still yummy, slightly jelat after a while. she had the ice mocha which is always good according to the girlfriend, i had the ice lychee earl grey tea & was delicious, would have preferred a bigger glass though! apart from the serving sizes, overall nice experience! came at 3.30pm on a saturday and almost couldn't get a seat indoors, limited seating!

Interesting concoctions of coffee served here. Coconut latte (stirred with coconut cream I believe?), though coconut taste could be stronger for me. I wonder if a swirl of gula melaka on top would have enhanced the overall flavour. My friend had the Christmas mint affogato, pleasing concoction to the eyes and palette, the broken bits of candy cane adding a nice crunch, complementing the bitter coffee. I love anything lemony & the pistachio lemon cake was the glamorous star for me! Generous pistachios & a tart thick lemon curd on top, lovely contrast to the tastebuds! The sticky date cake was dry, with cream & date sauce on top. I requested for it to be warmed, which the young waiter cautioned would melt the cream. I assured him that was ok, & once it came back, the cake became moist, with sauce & cream running down. Date sauce was mild & could have been more pronounced in flavour, or maybe more date sauce? Love the simple set up of this place, quiet & unassuming, leaving its customers to percolate on their coffee and conversations!

Quaint coffee shop located amongst the Bedok HDB neighbourhood. It’s not easy to find on its own and there’s multiple HDB blocks and turnings just before this one - hence important to have your trusted google map ready else you’d be in for a walk (if u park in another block). The places serves really good coffee and some interesting concoctions like earl grey bubble tea! The croissants were also interesting - I had the almond chocolate ones and they were yummy.

Had an espresso + piccolo latte set, mala soba w/ smoked duck, and a salted caramel cafe affogato. No complimentary water provided besides the seltzer in the coffee set. Coffee: Percolate roasted beans, espresso had a weak body was a bit sour. Might have just been shot inconsistency since it didn't have nice crema. Latte was a much nicer experience, I'd definitely get a white over an espresso. A tasting card would be most appreciated. Mala soba: Very interest concept! Their soba is a thicker cut (closer to udon) and the mala overpowers the subtleties of the soba, but the variations in texture are incredible. The nuts, soba, mushroom, and duck all contribute their own different texture and taste into something special. Affogato: It's cafe affogato with salted caramel as a topping, tastes as good as it sounds.

Always 💯. This time round, I ordered the kim-cheese croissant sandwich and my friend the banana bread. Firstly the Kim cheese sandwich. The name won the breakfast game today, and it delivered. The distinctive/pungent (depends where you fall on the fence) scent hits the nose the moment it's served. Flaky but not crumbly croissant, accompanied by crunchy, Kim chi, not the soggy kind you get at Korean stalls at most food court. The cheese, was not over powering and I can taste the kimchi through it. My all time favourite is their curry prawn mash. Perfect grub food. Upgraded.

Very nice and cozy cafe. I'm not a coffee fanatic. But the coffee was smooth and i see that there are a huge selection of iced/cold coffee(Bottled) and alot people purchase them. Will try the bottle coffee next time.. Cake were nice, they will help to heat/warm the cake. Not very big place, can only accommodate 7~9 couple... Have not try the main as they were slightly pricey. But overall very nice place to chill if you are around the neighborhood.

Minus one star for a ham and cheese croissant that featured an un-melted slice of cheese. Ew. Everything else is great tho I love this place.

Got a seat at 130 on Saturday. Wow! Didn’t expect it! $24.50 for two tea cakes and two drinks - chai latte cold and flat white. The drinks were good. The tea cakes were large, could be shared between two. The red date teacake was rather sweet. The recommended orange pistachio was tangy and seemed a better choice. Good service, clean toilet and premises.

Not sure if there’s always queue here. We didn’t wanna wait for a table so we did take away. The coffee is good. That explains the queue. The cakes looks good too but we didn’t try.

Coffee is surprisingly good! Love it that they have beans from nylon coffee and the default double shot that comes with every cup I suppose. I love my long black strong and smooth and they delivered every bit of it. Gentle on the wallet too. Will be back!

This small cafe is a hidden gem in the neighborhood! My first visit here and tried the banana loaf - it is da bomb! The cake was served warm and it pairs very well with the peanut butter and vanilla ice cream as well as the fruit toppings. Personally thought the honey is unnecessary here as everything is with the right sweetness already but it definitely serve the plating purpose:) will come again to try other desserts someday

  • 4/5 Eric T. 3 years ago on Google
Love their cosy quaint cosy setup. And aptly brand name, percolate coffee! If there is one thing to pick on is their croissant - a tad dry and not buttery enough. That said, I appreciate the dryness cos it will then go well with HaeBeeHiam croissant or even fishcake laksa which we did not try. Overall, this is a good place for a lazy afternoon hangout for their whites - creamy and smooth; Long black is a tad too sharp

Followed the recommendation of the other reviewers- I tied the Coconut Latte, and the Hae Bee Hiam Crossiant - at first I thought it was just gonna be gimmicky, but it was actually good and I liked it. Would definitely come by again to try their other offerings. Their desserts on display were very tempting 🤩 However, do expect to either sit outside or wait awhile for an indoor seat as the cafe is at full capacity even during a weekday during my visit. The staff are very friendly and proactive in offering me an indoor seat the moment one becomes available. So 5/5 stars for me. Insta: @foodie.drew

Coffee is good, but that’s the only thing that is good. Be warned, they don’t serve any water, the only choice is Dasani bottled water, which is undrinkable. Food is so-so. Cold brew cheng tng had dry and crunchy gojis which were obviously not even washed or soaked, just thrown in. Not impressed at all with the dried longans that also were not soaked or cooked prior. I am not coming back for sure.

(Translated by Google) Enter the store on weekday evenings The inside of the store has a rather small impression, There are seats for about 15-20 people It was almost full when I entered the store! Because there are seats outside If you want to relax, the outside is recommended 👍 This shop is Drink menu other than coffee It ’s really fulfilling For those who are not good at coffee Really thankful cafe ♡♡♡ The order is Chai Latte! !! Less milk, lighter taste, stronger cardamom! It's delicious but you may like it or not 🤔 Mocha is a bitter feeling After all I just sell coffee beans I felt that I was particular about it! I didn't order this time Desserts and showcase cakes It was fulfilling and looked delicious ♡ And ♡♡ When I was ordering Looking at the finished matcha latte The color is rather dark and it looks delicious 😍 I can't judge the matcha system overseas by appearance, but ww I will order next time! !!

My friend suggested this place for meet up so we decided to head there early to try the mains. Was a very nice cafe and I quite like the ambience. Staff there were attentive and friendly, helped cleaned the tables promptly to get us an available one, and good at recommending some pastries. Mains ordered the Unagi soba and the curry Crab noodles. Had a flat white and a CNY drink the orange chocolate. Also had a pistachio lemon cake. Drinks and cakes were good, the mains were not to our liking. Though 1st look the portion of the Unagi soba looked small, it wasn't so good that we didn't even finish the whole thing. The curry noodles tasted a bit more like the Peranakan style Laksa, and also didn't really like it because of the type of noodles used. The noodles wete very tasteless as they couldn't absorb the flavour of the soup. In short, I would say stick to the drinks and cakes.

Good place for coffee with outdoor seating with 4 tables at five foot way. Ordered coconut coffee as recommended by the reviews. Coffee had strong coconut taste however my sensitive tastebud picked up the rancid undertone which meant I didn't fully enjoy this coffee. We also ordered mocha & ginger latte. Feedback received is so so. I do like the coffee milk art but I saw there were some nicer milk art from other reviews. We had our coffee outside and there were quite many people dining inside. Aircon was strong inside but we prefer to sit outside to minimise risks of COVID-19 infection.

Coffee and service is excellent. Used to enjoy the food more (when I came a year ago) but somehow when I came this time the truffle mushroom croissant kinda became like cream of mushroom soup (and hardly any mushroom) with croissant, rather than mushrooms with croissant…

Ordered a flat white and nitro cold brew black. The flat white was as expected; however the nitro cold brew was a tad sour, probably due to under brewing or the grounds were too coarse. A good place for espresso base drinks.

Nice and cosy Cafe! Had coconut latte, and I think it's pretty decent, not too coconutty, and you can still taste the coffee flavors in it. Staff are friendly and sincere too! They are a young group (not that I'm old 😂), and love their energy and passion!

One of our (me and my wife) favorite hangout cafes in the east side. The cafe has a chillax vibe with a cosy ambience. Weekday late noon is definitely the best time to come here; chill out with a cup of coffee and a slice of the delicious mini cake, people watching the slow traffic outside while listening to the soothing songs played. Though they don’t bake the mini cakes themselves, we are very happy with what we had tried so far. Moist and soft texture that has the right amount of sweetness for me. Personally I would recommend the earl grey lavender cake, it has a delicate floral after taste. If you are interested in savory croissant, I would suggest trying their laksa fish cake croissant. Rich lemak favour, succulent fish cake with the well baked crisp pastry. It is also a coffee cafe that sells all sorts of coffee machines (eg grinders, pour over v60 etc), accessories and coffee beans. Personally I love their pour over coffee though the variety of beans selection is very limited. Generally well poured with balance laying of taste notes lingering in your mouth. I am a piccolo person when it comes to expresso milk coffee. I tend to find the taste a bit too strong on the citrusy note and tend to be of a single note profile. Generally the shot is well pulled without any off notes but nothing too fanciful either. The milk foam on top is a bit too thin for my liking, would be nice if it is a bit more foamy to give that nice texture in the mouth. Services are generally good and helpful with any queries you have. Price wise, I feel it is comparable (for the coffee beverages) if not slightly cheaper compared to other artisan coffee cafes, probably because of its location. Highly recommend!

First visit to Percolate tucked in a hdb block. We were famished & looking to have a proper lunch. Opted for Smoked Salmon Croissant @$9 (minus the default wasabi). My dining partner ordered a Garlic Cheese Croissant @ $7.50. The crossiant were served warm & crispy but caused a mess while eating! According to my fren, the garlic is really nice! For drinks, i need a cooling respite from the hot weather. Decided to have the Earl Grey with Lychee. The taste was pretty good & thankfully the Lychees syrup managed to dilute abit the Earl Grey. If there's a Oolong Lychee would be nice too! Only con is the small glass size for $7.

They make good coffee here plus there are options for oat milk or soy milk! Their tea cakes, croissants, affogato brownie+ice cream and soba noodles are yummy too. A lovely place to chill if you’re in the Bedok area. Staff are friendly too :)

The bittersweet espresso and ice cream brownie is tasty, bur the ice white coffee has an excessive amount of milk which diminishes the coffee taste in it. Also, I would prefer freshly made coffee upon ordering rather than pre-packaged bottled coffee."

eat at your own risk. Ordered the smoked chicken soba salad thru delivery for $14 and was amused by the fast delivery and i was really excited to try it, i had some cherry tomatos and the taste is abit off, i didn’t think much as i thought it may be the lemongrass dressing until i saw this mouldy rotten one at the bottom of the box when im about to finish the salad. Super disappointed, how can you serve rotten food.
