We ordered the following dishes: Crab Angel Hair Pasta, Mushroom Truffle Risotto and Grilled Chicken (add-on). The pasta was nice and unique spin with crab meat. However, the risotto was bland and slightly watery. Lastly, the add on of grilled chicken was flavourful and garlicky and it costs only +S$5 for it. Overall, pricing was on the steeper range but you’re paying for the nice location and ambience.

Not sure how this place is rated 4 stars - our experience was poor. The ambience is nice enough, indoor and outdoor for a coffee, and seating reasonably comfortable. Prices are a tad high versus comparables for what it is. Breakfast Platter is $29++ and pastas around that or a tad more, for e.g. We had the Breakfast Platter and some other items. Looked good but tasted horrible. The scrambled eggs were not tasty nor well cooked (overcooked) at all (see pictures) - best comparison would be to McDonald's. The sausages were inedible - completely tasteless and totally dry (see pics). The bacon was not crispy enough, etc. When we fed back on the poor food to staff, they said err OK and walked off. What does that mean??? Water was also not topped up - had to chase for service multiple times - note we were seated outside. The place was nearly full but not excessively so with queues like nearby restaurants. Will not be back and do not recommend - there are so many better options nearby and elsewhere.

Love the atmosphere. Food wise slightly above average and there's room for improvement. To highlight, the fish finger is too fishy. Service team maybe need to be more attentive. Overall still a good place to hang out

I’ve recently attended one of The Great Spice Potluck series they host and it was amazing. The Jordanian edition included many Jordanian appetizers and main dishes. The food was impeccable, you can really feel the quality ingredients used and everything was true to its origin. We enjoyed the food so much that we ordered 2 meals to go and I must say, this was the best quality middle eastern food I’ve ever had in Singapore and at a much more decent price point than other places. Portions were really good too. The staff are friendly and attentive, we were very well taken care of and somebody would come to check on us every once in a while even if we hadn’t called. Will surely go back to try out more cuisines 😋

We arrived for brunch. Got us a table but without the menu. Had to ask for menus and right after we got them, a waitress came around and asked us if were ready to order. Told her to give us a few minutes. We ordered French toast and added bacon and an almond croissant. The croissant was delicious but the French toast was a bit dry and bacon was not crispy. Unfortunately they were hard. At least their coffee were good and nice vibes.

Food was not bad. I had the Quesadilla and it was crunchy and full of flavour! The only not so nice surprise was that our cheese platter arrived 15 mins after we were done and we totally forgot about it as we were busy with the food which was a good sign. The wait staff was nice to allow us to cancel the order. The cups needs to be washed thoroughly as there is an eggy smell from the first sip. May be a crafty way to get customer to order other drinks (which we did)... 😄 As mentioned by another customer review, there were several flies in the restaurant. It needs to be managed for a better dining experience. One landed on my salad and had to wave about a bit. Overall, had a good experience here.

Love the atmosphere. Interesting grocery (sauce, dips, pasta, wine, cheese, chocolate, etc) to look at as you wait for your food. Nice place to hang out and chat. Ok chai latte (cookie accompanying is not good). The pizza is nice. I like the crust. The basil gives it a nice touch to ease the oily feel from cheese.

The environment is comfortable and the service is very attentive. It is also polite to talk to guests.. I didn't specifically ask them to bring a chair over for my bag to sit on. Thanks! will eat again next time.

Came here on a Saturday evening. Thought of giving a shot at this place as it's pet friendly and situated in cosy little Dempsey hill. It definitely did not disappoint. We ordered some lamb kebab and some lamb with a little wrap beneath it for the starters. The meaty smell was still present. But a lovely flavorful dish nontheless. Ordered wagyu burger and the salmon main dishes as well. Quite well done and fresh. Point to note was that the ingredients are fresh. Also do remember to check out the awesome stuff that's on sale in the restaurant. Lots of imported jams, oils, cheeses and chocolate. Lovely place to chill on a Saturday evening.

Once in a while when I want to have a carefree breakfast/brunch - I am reminded of these place. The environment in Dempsey certainly helps - and the food selection for breakfast menu has improved tremendously since a couple of years ago. I do enjoy the breakfast… tasty… but the coffee is a bit of a letdown. For the price offering - I would expect a full bodied aroma coffee without the need of extra shot. Price wise? Definitely on the pricier end - what is to say with the morning at Dempsey and a relaxing breakfast in an old colonial building.

The food quality and taste are constantly nice. Staff are friendly and attentive. It’s one of our staple dining options at Dempsey hill. They also update their menu time to time. The indoor dining area is nicely cooled with spacious seating. However, it is quite noisy during weekend peak hours. Overall, we like this place and often bring home chocolates and cheese after the meal.

Food was amazing for the French toast and banana pancake. The yogurt topping used for banana pancake was heavenly tbh. Latte was decent and didn't taste diluted. Service was great, staff were courteous and polite (seen them accomodate customer requests to great lengths at neighboring table too). We did walk-in for breakfast but do reserve if coming for brunch onwards as it gets crowded quick. Vibes were great and best to get indoor seat. Really love concept of dining within a grocery mart construct. Would visit again

My first visit to Dempsey project and it won’t be my last for sure. Food is great not just taste but presentation and creativity! The ambience is perfect especially for pet lovers. Staff are extremely friendly, prompt in servicing and very helpful. Eg. gave us decent advice where to sit to avoid morn sun. Staff was eager to please. Very impressed with the crew professionalism and attitude.

Just the right ambience and choice of songs for a chill and relaxing night for a good gathering with friends… and the crew were very nice to always check in with us to see what we needed… and it was very sweet of the crew to offer us the free desserts … 🥰 will be back

I particularly like Jones the Grocer and it’s my first at Dempsey Project and was pleasantly surprised by my overall experience. The food was good and portion was generous (big breakfast) and the banana pancake was amazing! The staff and services were fantastic especially the server, Ms Delie for my table. Excellent, responsive and super friendly. Same goes to other servers. Will be back again for lunch and dinner. Keep it up Team! ;😉

Exceptional service ; the team checks on us ever so often, refills our water regularly and are all extremely polite. A little disappointed that their more unique dishes are only served after lunch so we had to do with the run of the mill breakfast food. It wasn’t too bad but if not for the fantastic service, and that this place is dog friendly, I probably wouldn’t return. Might give it a go for their lunch menu next time.

Love the date pudding , It is an Australian restaurant. A spacious place with lots of plants and some pleasant merchandise setup. The taste of the dishes were up to standard and satisfactory. Service staff were very friendly. It’s an easy eating place. The average cost is around $40 per person.

Restaurant environment is great but the food and service have room for improvement. The wrap comes with vegetables and hash brown, but there is no sauce. It is so dry. I guess they are under-staff, I didn’t feel welcome at all here. Everything is so dry, hence the two-stars rating.

Took a while for staff to attend to us for seating despite reservation. The ordering process was smooth, and waiting time was about 15-20 mins. For the price, the food was pretty mediocre (beef cheek papardelle/chicken skewers). There really were a lot of options though. The other service staff were really friendly and polite. Drinks were interesting as well -- spicy marg and virgin thai. Would come back again to try the cheese platters!

Just another pricey brunch spot. The big Egyptian breakfast ($32) was just flat bread with veggies and dips. The avocado and sweet potatoes was disappointing, rather tasteless. Scones were tiny for the price.

Tofu sichuan mala noodles ($29.00++) Truffle mushroom risotto ($29.00++) Banana oat pancakes ($23.00+) Great vegan options. Items are slightly on the pricier side but certainly worth it for the quality, environment and level of service. Very friendly to children/ families as well.

food was decent! had the huevous rancheros and it was very good. egg was still runny! banana pancakes were a little grainy and dense, but tasted like banana bread. service was good! atmosphere was amazing! will come back!

This place hosts lots of events, like Lebanese food festival or similar. I’ve been to one of those but I must admit I’m not a big fan of it. The price point is quite high, which is understandable because it’s Dempsey hill. However, it did not feel worth it. The food was okay and the portion size was small. I spent about $60 per person for meal plus a glass of wine.

Had the beef cheek pappardelle and dips and za-atar flatbread. Both were super good! The flatbread was super soft and fluffy. Pasta was chewy. Overall a really good dining experience! Service staff were really efficient and polite! Will definitely come back again :)

Previously the food here was great but this time was underwhelming. Other than the fries and nachos, seems like the recipes have been changed? Previous time I ordered the vegan saffron pasta it looked and tasted completely different. For $27 I got one asparagus cut into 5 pieces which I think is just unreasonable. You can see how unappetising it looked. No fragrance of saffron that was what I previously really liked about the dish. Quality has declined but the prices are the same. The $18 samosas tasted like defrosted frozen samosas. Service was alright there was some miscommunication that could have been handled better but the staff were all nice. Food was overpriced for bad quality.

I was looking for a Gluten Free spot for a business dinner and The Dempsey Project had an extensive menu to choose from! The starters and mains were all great and the desserts was delectable! Shawn’s service was also amazing!

Awesome pizza, they just newly launched it, really good quality, loved the chewy pizza crust, flavourful prosciutto di parma. Highly recommend! Pizza was as good or even better than some of the Italian restaurants I’ve been too. My friends enjoyed their burger and pasta as well. Cosy ambience, friendly staff, shoutout to the restaurant manager, Shawn, for his hospitality. :)

I ordered Dempsey big breakfast($30) and watermelon juice. Food is basically okay, sausage, tomato, eggs are delicious. Bacon was not nice. Beans bread and vege was okay. Overall, it’s just a normal. Watermelon juice is just like that $10, it was just a normal watermelon juice. Atmosphere is good for weekend fancy breakfast. Basically I’m not satisfied with the price. I felt like I came to another country like US in terms of their price. My friend ordered soy latte. Just changing soy from milk cost $2 also…food, drinks are okay, but too overpriced and overrated to me. We spent around $45 and above for a meal per person. I would rather go to 5 star hotel breakfast to be honest.

Went to Dempsey for a weekday lunch and decided to try this place which is always crowded in the weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful. We asked for recommendations and followed their suggestion since it was our first time. The menu was long and varied. The food was passable but definitely nothing to come back for. It was a bit disappointing for the price. It was hot during lunch time too.

Delle was our server and she recommended the choice of dishes very well for us. The ambience was nice and space around the table was well spread out. We have our privacy in our corner. Will come back again!

Visited TDP on a rainy Monday, just wanting to chill over some drinks and sweets. Ended up with more than I intended. The açai berries smoothie was so refreshing. The strawberry trifle was so pretty and perfumed. The spiced fish fingers were so addictive. A nice artisan pizza was classic.

  • 5/5 B T. 10 months ago on Google
Like everybody else advised, order the cauliflower wings!! It’s so crispy and full of spice, so addictive. When I ordered the Atlantic salmon, the waitress asked how I wanted it done (medium, well done etc) which is such a good idea. I wish they would maybe show some kind of chart to reference the texture tho. My husband enjoyed his truffle mushroom risotto as well. All in all, we would come back again :)

Enjoy the peace and ambience on a weekday morning. Great place for a coffee boost and breakfast after an early workout in the area. I especially like the high ceilings. Egg Benedict was well done. Poached eggs done well and good strong coffee. Leaning towards the pricier end of brunch places spectrum but it's Dempsey so not unexpected.

Felt really welcomed by Max. Very thankful to have him recommend us the signature dishes and it was so so good. Especially the cauliflower wings. It was the best, our favourite!!! And thank you Max, for being so accommodating. We couldn’t decide the mains and decided to change to Cambodian curry amok Chicken 🐔 and it was the bessst choice ever. Overall service is good and nice ambience.

Delightful place to have a mid afternoon tea snack. Outstanding service too. The cauliflower wings standout as the best dish, with a crust that taste almost like a pakora(spiced fritter). Beef nachos makes for a nice finger food. The two desserts were equally good.

This place is always clouded in the morning. Big space and comfortable ambient. The big dampsey breakfast has generous portion of bacon. A bit disappointed with the sautéed mushroom with lack off seasoning. Not a fan of the roasted sourdough too as it is crunchy but hard. The cheese plate is super good with a lot of siding. Brie cheese is super tasty. They also selling cheese, wines, chocolates, ice cream and etc. I would like to try more of the dishes, will visit again soon.

As we were in orchard area looking for a pet friendly place for breakfast, decided to try this place out. We didnt have a reservation on a public holiday, but they managed to get us a outdoor seating for us and our furkid. We ordered the big breakfast and truffle omelette. Big breakfast didn't "wow" us but the truffle omelette was fragrant. Overall good experience. Maybe we will try other item on the menu next time.
