Went to catch Kumar live. Funny as hell. But the seat that I was allocated to was at the back and couldnt really hear him at times. Best to seat in the middle.

Bought pre allocated seats tickets to watch Kumar. The showtime indicated 7pm to 10.30pm. Arrived at 7.01pm, the entrance was not ready. There was only one queue. It's now 7.28pm and we are still i the queue. Is this a marketing gimmick to have a long queue to attract curious passersby attention? What's the point of paying more for pre allocated tickets and sti made to queue with the other walk in patrons? It is 7.31pm and we are still queuing. They should have clearly indicated the showtime and not say 7pm! I am sure i will enjoy Kumar, just not the venue. Update: seated inside now, its 7.57pm but the show has not started. What a waste of time! They should have indicated the exact show time!!! Another update: Kumar is great!! He started at 8pm, so just come at 7.55pm! .

Thursdays free flow of vodka while stocks lasts fr 11pm-1am ;) Shots at $10 but we missed it by one min because we were in the queue and they were inflexible about it. Songs were not to our liking

I've been here only once for a film screening event. I like that they hold a range of interesting events and that they support local artists and film-makers. It's a pretty small space and the drinks are good but service could be improved.

5 stars for the kumar show! Get the pre-allocated tix so you don't have to stand throughout the show and you get 1 free drink. It states 7pm so that everyone can get seated and get their drinks before the actual show starts. Had a blast!

Bouncer was terrible and weirdly dogmatic. I've always thought to maybe check this place out since I live in Riverwalk, but tonight he wouldn't even let me cross the sidewalk for 3 meters to my apartment so I had to go all the way around and cross the street just to get to my own room (10 minute detour). These people are crazy.

Good club that used to feature lots of drumnbass. Nowadays it's more often chill music, but they still have nice ladies night and a cheap entrance fee. The dance floor is quite small though

Went for the Comedy show and it’s worth it. But SGD 18 for a pint of blanc beer seem quite expensive.. lol

Pro: free flow vodka on Thursdays from 11-1 for ladies. Con: they treat everyone in the bar like criminals. There was someone checking our table with a flashlight every 5 minutes (barging in, breaking up our group.) They also yelled at me for taking a drink to their outdoor patio (even though my cup was empty and no one told me I couldn’t). The lady was extremely aggressive. Top notch place? Definitely not. Worth free booze? Maybe, but arrive with some patience.

Was there for the Christmas standup show from The Latecomers. Had a good l laugh and enjoyed the entertaining show.

Came here for the Kumar show. Hilarious! Worth going. Definitely recommended.

Indie music with indie crowd.

It was S$30 cover and a really tiny place. All they played was electronic but the kind that was impossible to dance to. Drinks were S$15. Prices are pretty normal but just seemed over hyped.

Great crowd, especially on Thursdays. Music is usually great. Despite the small area, the surrounding makes up for it.

Ikigai is a cozy spot located along Riverwalk. If you enjoy delicious Japanese cuisines, Sake and a beer, you're in for a treat! Don't expect comedy or Kumar. This place has taken over the old Canvas club.

Super vague advertising. Timing of RSVP closure not stated specifically. Denied free entry due to "RSVP closure" even tho RSVP ticket did not clearly state closure timing. Wasted my night will never visit this trashy club again lmao

Was here for POPTART event. Price of drinks are on the high side. Aircon seems weak when crowd starts packing in.

Well over priced drinks ($17 for a beer) and limited selections so BYO or have a few before hand. Attracts some great comedians also other than just a night club venue.

I was at Canvas with 6 other friends at 2.30am on National Day. The club was going to close at 3am and we were bullied into buying a bottle of Veuve by a very rude waitress. Even after buying a bottle of champagne; she had the temerity to rudely hurry us to finish the bottle. Terrible. AVOID this place like the plaque. Plenty of great bars and clubs in Singapore; just not Canvas.

Great place, awesome music! My friend hafiz introduced me to this place! Will come here again soon!
