Went there for lunch thinking it would be crowded . But it was not … was a tad bit worried if the food was any good . I read mix reviews . Decided to give it a go. I just say , the food is good , fresh and well cooked . The signature Ropa Vieja tasted good . Looks like when served . But it’s good for a meal ! Also had the garlic tiger prawns , also well cooked and really tasty. I’ve been to Cuba , must say quite close the taste. Enjoyed it , the staff all good servers , services was delightful.

Big portion size that will certainly fill you up. The music and vibe is inviting. The service was friendly and fast. Though we felt a little overwhelmed because all the food(four dishes) arrived together!! However the flavours were great and the alcohol choice s plentiful. In all a good place for dancing, dinner and drinks

Went for a group dinner. Food was good. The service however was awful. By far the worst service I have witnessed in my 14 years of living in Singapore. We were sharing food, 8 of us. We were only given 7 cutlery and 7 plates. Asked so many times for extra fork and plate. Never came, We were drinking Proseco, 3 bottles, plus some beer. We asked for a bottle of water, it came out. But they didn't think to bring any glasses. Had to ask several times for glasses. I guess we were supposed to just pass the bottle around. The staff seemed clueless on to what was on the menu, said they didn't have sparkling water. Had to get the menu and point to it. Same with the food. Most seemed to have limited knowledge of the English language. We had brought a birthday cake, and asked them to keep it when we came in. After eating we asked the staff for the cake. He said that since we did not give the cake to him, that he would have no idea where it is. And that was it, he didn't offer to help ask his co-workers if they knew where the cake was. So I had to ask every staff member if they knew where the cake was. Finally it was found. When I went in to the back, and finally found the guy I had passed it to. They eventually brought it out. But no plates, so I asked for 8 plates and forks. We got 4. Then we ordered 7 shooters. 18$ each, and the shot glass was less than half full. Quite terrible service. Hopefully they can give their staff some proper training.

Alfresco dining oversees riverside Fish & Chips The batter here definitely brings on the crunch, while the fish within remains flaky and sweet. This is, in my opinion, one of the best fish and chips in Singapore. Fish Fingers The fish fingers has a lovely golden colour and had a really nice crunch to them. I was impressed by the sheer amount of flavour in the fish fingers, as well as how soft on the side they were, despite being delightfully crispy. Garlic Prawns Not only were they succulent, but the prawns were also beautifully infused with garlic. It's an absolute knockout of a combo Chicken Bucket of 6 Fried to crisp perfection but the flavour was very subtle. Perfect if you’re not too heavy on the palate. Bordeaux Blanc Sec White Wine A mild yet flavorful bouquet exhibiting hints of citrus, melon, and white flowers.

Love the vibes of the place and food is delicious too! Just that most of the music are more towards Latin. If you love to dance Latino dance, the place is suitable for you as there’s a dance floor to dance along with the music. But the music was loud enough to dance outside too! The waiter was nice and attentive to our table for any enquires.

Best Cuban restaurant and bar in Singapore. Requires minimum spending of $100 per person if you want to sit indoors with live band, but the ambience inside and outside are both great. Top service by Hardi (at the entrance) and Alex, we will definitely be back! :)

Personalised service by chef Alex Moreno indulging us with exquisite old world wines with gastronomical food pairing that matches perfectly with each bottle we’ve chosen! Well done!

i can’t say much about this place. the best place to party all night long! definitely a place to make new friends and perhaps, lovers. the music, the staffs, and the live bands was so good and professional. not only that, the vibes here amazing even on a Monday night! 😅 long story short, my whole experience here has been amazing! shoutout to Abdillah for being the most amazing and the friendliest staff here! much love! ❤️

Went with a group of girls for ladies night. The staff was terribly rude and forceful. They took chairs away from us, when we explicitly told them we were waiting for friends. They also harassed our male friends and tried to intimidate them by saying that they were “watching them” in order for them to buy drinks and not to drink our drinks (which we did not intend to give them). Overall, it was a very distasteful experience and we will not be returning.

Cuban food are not common in Singapore and my first try at cuban dishes was at Cuba Libre. Tried the Signature Mojito Chicken was recommended by the staff and it was pretty interesting. The boneless chicken thigh was drenched in tangy-sweet mango salsa which was a first for me, where the savoury, sweet and sour elements come into play together. Despite the use of thigh meat, the chicken was slightly dry though it was nothing too consequential since the mango salsa complemented it. To counter all the protein, the dish was served with herbed vegetables and roasted potatoes for a more balanced meal. Accompanying the meal was my huge mason jar of Mojito that doesn't seem to end no matter how much I drink 😂 not that I am complaining! An uncommon sight, the mojitos here comes with a stick of sugarcane for the OG experience - chew on it long enough for the juice to come out and simply discard the stick thereafter. Drinks here are on the stronger side, but nothing too strong that'll give you a hangover so fret not. A sweet ending to my meal, we had the churros with vanilla ice cream where vanilla speckles can clearly be seen. Fried to a golden brown, the churros was coated with a layer of sugar and boasts a crispy exterior along with a soft core. You can have the ice cream and churros separately or dipped the latter into the ice cream for a better experience.

Love from 🇱🇰 Foods were delicious Who ever served food girl and boy were pleasant We had beer and went to dance at live band. After few mins someone from the pub asked me and wife to buy a drinks otherwise can not enter like that. I show him our receipt and he was okay. But I noticed he asked only from us. That’s why I’m giving 4 stars. He could have not told something like that. If really necessary should ask everyone. Because most of people just went to see the live band without buying anything.

The restaurant boasts a splendid ambience that is visually appealing. The food and drinks were not only delicious but also reasonably priced. In particular, the tapas were great to enjoy by the riverside. The service provided was friendly, prompt, and truly exceptional.

Horrible experience at Cuba Libre today! We had a reservation for 6 pm to celebrate a special occasion. Arriving at 5:15 pm, we patiently waited until 6 pm, which was the official opening time. However, no one attended to us until a guy finally came over, asking us to switch tables because the one we sat at was supposedly for ten people, even though it clearly wasn't. Our party had a maximum capacity of six, and there was no one else in the restaurant. Despite the wait, the service took a turn for the worse. We had to ask have our orders taken but no one attended to us, and when our order was taken, many items were unavailable, leaving us disappointed. At around 6:10 pm, a lady finally attended to us, but she seemed disinterested and failed to inquire about our reservation. After taking our order, she returned, saying we couldn't place it until 6:30 pm because the section wasn't open for orders until then. This was confusing since she had previously promised to bring us the menu. We became frustrated with the staff's attitude and the poor customer service and decided to leave and went to the restaurant next door, where we had a much better experience in terms of service and quality. Unfortunately, the bad experience at Cuba Libre has left us with no intention of recommending it to anyone else. The lack of attention to reservations, menu availability, and indifferent staff made it a disappointing visit overall.

Awful service!! Prices are so overrated and bartenders are rude as hell. They are literally the rudest people ever. We tried to buy 2 cocktails and they charged us extra for the “service”. I wasn’t gonna pay to be yelled at and the manager took the drinks and didn’t say a thing. I work as a chef and I know hospitality environment and it was really disrespectful and humiliated. So such a bad place and so sad their customer service. DO NOT GOT THERE.

Food / drinks quality: Didn’t try any food, only had alcohol with live band. Food / drinks portion / Price: Prices on higher end in line with Clarke Quay Service: Was fast, no complains. Live band: There’s a resident live band. Their music quality is pretty decent, though it’s really loud in the enclosed space. The band usually starts around 9pm and play 2 sets lasting ~45 mins each. Small dance floor that tends to start filling up after live band starts playing, especially when they’re in their 2nd set. Crowd: Always expect a crowd. Payment: Cards accepted.

The place itself is nice. The menu was a let down. No real Cuban food. Even after we figured that out we still decided to stay and order the little Cuban food they had on the menu to then be told they don’t have those option’s available. It’s more a Tex-Mex restaurant for food options. We decided to leave and go somewhere else.

Cuba Libre has quickly become a go-to spot for a fantastic night out! 🥳 This lively venue, situated in Clarke Quay, offers a rooftop bar and nightclub with live music and talented DJs. Guests love the incredible light show, the vibrant live band, and the overall lively atmosphere. In my opinion, it is Singapore's premier destination for live music. Join in the fun and experience it for yourself!

The establishment thoughtfully provides both indoor and outdoor seating options The DJ's song selection was thoroughly enjoyable, and the stunning lighting and graphics created an impressive light show. The live band performance was exceptional and easily ranks among the best I've experienced. It's worth noting that the dress code does not allow shorts and slippers for gentlemen. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning next week with friends.

Out first time having our dinner there. Not terrible but certainly not great. Some dishes were good (Nachos and quesadilla but most dishes were sad and disappointing. Especially the meatballs. Is a great place for drinking if you are coming by cq for a drink or two.

Went Saturday evening for drinks. 3 of us. We were seated at a table, and given menus. The place was not very busy as it was still early, 830pm. Kept trying to wave down a waiter to take our order, all just turned head away, and stayed inside the bar. Finally after 15 minutes I was able to get someone to take our order. We ordered a couple beers and a whiskey neat. Waited 20 more minutes, still no drinks, but other tables that seated later were being served. Tried to wave down a waiter to ask where our order was, but was ignored. So we simply left. Sad the service here really sucks, as the music is good.

Music and the band not bad if you are OK with loud music in closed space. Definitely need to level up the drink. For the price, the cocktails was so-so

If you're looking for a place in Clark Quay to sing and dance your heartt out, this is the place to be. It's lively, the performers are amazing and there's enough room for everyone. I loved the vibe and there were people of all age groups just having fun! Special shout out the talented singer with the sweetest dimples for performing on the weekend and even on a quiet Monday night with a smile on her face ✨️💖 She's the show stopper !!

The live music and atmosphere was the good thing. The prices of drinks are so high and not good at all. The cocktails don't taste like I know and aren't served in a right glass and tequila was awful I think was dilute.

All our food was cold - I asked them to heat some of it up and it looks as if the kitchens could be 5-10 minutes away as they walked down the road with it and it took ages to come back even though it just needed to go in a micro wave. Also part of the menu wasn’t available as they said their chef wasn’t there. Staff were pretty friendly and we managed to get a table right on the water - maybe the cold food was why the restaurant was empty and we could get good seats

Both the DJ and live band are fantastic. Hours of music that anyone can dance to. Good crowd and decent food to snack on while having a couple of drinks.

Small and cute bar in the middle of Singapore, we went on a Sunday and had fun partying with a live band! Rest was already closing down. Not too full which was great. Pizza was fine.

The way we were treated at the bar in regards to the Latin community was the worst experience we have had in town. The bar was filthy, and the staff was discourteous towards us. Adding to our frustration, the bartender completely disregarded our request for food. It was the worst place we have ever visited in Singapore.

It's one of my favorite place for live music. Have been here for long time, however recently been there after a year. Location changed and also some of the staff & band members, however the team is still good and the new band too.

Service is terrible, no hospitality. View is great, but that's it. Instead of asking whether we would like to drink anything else, they presented the bill while we weren't even halfway our drinks. I would recommend to go to a different bar near the water.

Food and Drinks are good. Unfortunately we get a glas of beer with lipgloss on it. So i have ordered a new one, but the service was not really excusing it for their mistake. Despite good location.

The chicken wing is really good. The wines are great, too. They have great live bands and latin dance night on Tuesday too. I have been going back multiple times now. Great place to social for latin loves. They mix salsa and bachata, and sometimes, if they get a special guest or instructor in the house, there will be kizomba too. Dj Tj is amazing too as he adjust his music based on crowd demand and energy!

  • 1/5 Prasanta S. 9 months ago on Google
Very limited options of food for chicken lovers. Nachos and chicken wings are not so great. The cost of drinks is unreasonably high, especially the beer tower. Service is far from good, it seemed the staffs do not even care about customer experience. You will be made to drink beer in water glasses, when we requested to provide proper beer glasses, they denied with some random/strange reasons. Food quality is not value for money. You will find better food choices and greater service at other restaurants in Singapore.

Security is very aggressive please stay away. We were celebrating the end our MBA studies and security was pushing people out and punching without any merit.

Went here for their social dance night on Tuesday. It's only $15 for cover charge and you get a glass of alcohol drink as well. Don't expect good alcohol for free but the crowd was good. I just wish that they have bigger space and the dance floor was smaller compared to the old place and no life music

  • 4/5 Sean L. 1 year ago on Google
Did not manage to try much of the food except some drinks which were mostly great. However, the tastes could be subjective as some in our group did not enjoy them. Service staff were attentive and friendly. Loud music and dim lighting creates a good atmosphere for dancing and clubbing but not so much for social gatherings.

Enjoyed my time here. Cover charge is waived on Sundays and this is one of the liveliest place you can find on a Sunday night. Live music was reaaaaally good and you can get to see a great mix of people, mostly international tourists. Ps: drinks are on a pricier side so take note!
