Great ambience & nice food. However, staff's lack of empathy dropped the standard. Had the waffle & chicken and BBQ beef sandwich. Waitress that took the order said to order via QR code but QR code failed the system but waitress insisted that maybe the customer is not tech savvy and tried to do it but still failed. Took the order on paper and left disappointed. We asked for a bigger table but was refused on base that restaurant is fully reserved. Unfortunately for them, 3 more groups came in with available tables which were (so called) reserved. Waiting time for food was average but as predicted table was crammed up with food. Waffle & chicken was nice but BBQ beef sandwich was slightly burnt, but was ok. Overall price with service charge and ambience think they could perform better. Picture below shows the crammed up table & another table with guest on laptop. Maybe we should have brought in laptops to be able to get bigger table.

Heard this place is closing down soon so am here for the final memories. Am quite surprised it's very quiet when news came out saying they are going to close and it's not packed. Not sure why while I was eating and a few customers walked in they didn't really accept those customers. Not sure if the place was booked for an event. Staff here quite chill, they made me order at the cashier then said I could choose to pay upon ordering or after the meal. While I was waiting for my meal they told me they ran out of chicken whether I was okay to substitute it with chicken strips I said OK but eventually there was still a pretty decent chicken. I came here with a few options in mind but ended up ordering the waffles and chicken. I guess I made the right choice as I enjoyed it a lot. The waffles was hot and super crispy and a big chunk of well marinated chicken served on top. I guess the side dish of the apple coleslaw was the surprise because it tasted so good. They didn't give extra maple syrup though I wished for more but was okay to have what was given to keep it less sweet. The hibiscus apple slush was also very refreshing and big cup I couldn't finish on the spot so I took it out and finished along the way. A little disappointed didn't have chance to try their popular cakes, seems like there wasn't any available at the time of ordering, only cupcakes and slices of pound cakes. Come have a try before it closes (hopefully not for good and if they can find another spot elsewhere)

Shared a delicious coconut, vanilla and French butter sponge cake with a friend of mine at this fantastic bakery! They had a wide variety of freshly made cakes, knowledgeable staff, quick service and aircon. Felt luxurious in a casual way. The price tag was definitely worth it!

My friend suggested coffee and cake at FBB telling me how much her daughter likes the cakes there. I cannot resist coffee and cake (who can?) 😆 So we went on a Thursday (11/8) afternoon, around 2 pm, it was quiet with just 2 other tables occupied, perfect place for us to sit and catch up. The ambience was great with it's white interiors and high ceiling, really made the whole place seem bigger than it was. I LOVE how they displayed the cakes. Service from their trainee staff Mitha was good, she accommodated our manual order and didn't give us any grief about not ordering via QR code. I had the hummingbird while my friend had the valhorna chocolate cake. We had our cakes with espresso and ... I forgot what coffee she had. The chocolate cake was good, dense and chocolatey. For the hummingbird slice my friend and I couldn't taste the banana nor the pineapple, we were disappointed. It tasted like any other cake. We both found the cakes to be VERY SWEET. It was great that they served us a bottle of water because we needed it to wash down the sweetness. The coffee served was good, I enjoyed my espresso. Overall, the ambience, size of the cake plus good coffee was worth the money we spent there. Just need to cut down on the sugar in the cakes, would have been a five star if not for that Ps - toilet is outside of the cafe, round the back. It was clean and dry while we were there. We noticed some outdoor seating was available too for when the weather is cooler I guess (see pic of outdoor seating).

Amazing place for dessert!!! Really enjoyed my time here with the chocolate red velvet and the blue guitar! Their cake is large and good to share and they have a wide range of interesting cakes and we would love to try more of their flavours next time! Their coffee is strong and delicious and worthy for the price.

It was not crowded when I visited but had to wait for about 10mins for my grilled beef sandwich. But, when it arrived, I wasn't disappointed. Delicious and very filling. Customers must be ready for the long-winded way to order online - download app, select restaurant, view menu and order, scan QR code, key in OTP. Servers served as IT rep to guide the ordering process haha. Appreciated the bottle of free water. The soups are great. Can taste fresh mushroom amd tomatoes. Will come again after pay day cos food is pricey.

I think I've found my new favourite cake shop! Bought Valrhona chocolate fudge cake + croissant + iced latte. Everything is good. Most of the cakes per slice are on the higher side, priced at $11, but I guess it's fine to indulge in their moist and delicious cakes once in a while. The croissant is very buttery too, crisp on the outside and soft in the inside. Ambience is nice. Just don't expect much from their service. I'll be a returning customer for the desserts!

The food and drinks are ok, but the vibe of the place is slightly off.. service felt indifferent and transactional. Overall, the place felt somewhat soul-less, for the lack of a better word. Btw laksa pesto pasta is very spicy, do avoid if you can take spicy food, the qr core e-menu neglected to mention that. The sourdough bread is fine, do give it a go.

Had lunch next door so we stepped in here for coffee and desserts. The cake was actually quite good! And the coffee was decent too. Place was nice and empty but i hope this isn't always the case!

Had a great time here - I personally loved the weekday set lunch, it was delicious and value for money! The set lunch also comes with beverages and signature cakes - which were really good and not to mention pretty huge as well for a cake slice. The staff was friendly and welcoming, paired with a lovely and laidback ambience, made our afternoon a lovely one. :) Would definitely come back again to try other dishes and cakes.

This cafe is near Arab street and has an interesting selection of pastries. Their cake names are super interesting as well. We tried the Barack Obama cake, it was fresh not too dense nor too full of cream. I would recommend this place!

Service is bad. Vibe is so off. No one cares any the customers. Feels kinda cold and sad environment. The food is either super Bland or super Salty . One item was missing for So long and Noone came to check. I had to go up to the counter to ask for it but staff didn’t get back to me. Service is slow and bad. Food is bad. Only liked their drinks & Truffle fries. None of us managed to finish our food bcuz it’s so bad. We’re so disappointed. Don’t recommend to go here don’t waste your time. There’re many better cafes around this area.

Service could be better. Not the most welcoming or pleasant staff. Fries were decent, but the mushroom soup that came with the grilled cheese was watery, not creamy or tasty. Atmosphere was nice though - quiet and spacious.

Really really looked forward to trying the fried chicken here with my friends, after seeing all the other patrons with the delicious-looking chicken and waffles. Not sure if we were unlucky or the chef has changed, but nothing was good (except for the cakes of course) this visit. Fried cauliflower and shiitake mushrooms were cold in the center, tomato soup was luke warm, and the chicken overfried and dry. I haven't had a drier chicken drumstick before. Taste-wise I could not taste the marinade at all. All in all a disappointment and I felt regretful about recommending this to my friends and asking them to come.

Nice cafe to hangout, tho price is on the high side considering the location. Taste wise not tok bad, though the Pancake can be more fluffy and moist. Despite, we passed the closing time, the waiters still give us sometime to continue our convo before gently asking us to leave. Nice vibe.

We had a family dinner here on a weekday evening and had a nice time. A Halal eatery located within Kampong Glam, they are a cafe, bakery and restaurant all in one, serving savory brunch, dinner, and fabulous cakes all day. They offer an expansive menu and these are the mains that we went for: 🥪 BBQ Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwich 🥩 BBQ Beef Ribs 🍤 Ju’s Prawn Pasta 🐟 Uncle Jimmy’s Fish & Chips The highlight of our dinner is definitely the juicy and very flavorful Beef Ribs! My boys polished off their Fish & Chips and Beef Sandwich and finished it off with gelato for dessert. Yums! 👍🏻 Service is very good. Just thought they could step up more on decor or soft furnishings etc.

Definitely one of the most underrated cafe in sg. They served one of the best cake and good food as well. Personally like their grilled cheese with beef (sourdough) and laksa pesto pasta. Their cakes are generally great, will alwayd go for their carrot cakes (one of the best in sg), chocolate cake, red velvet cake and etc. they used to have black sesame cake (which is awesome) and also matcha with red bean, now don’t seem to have these anymore. They used to have variety pastries like sourdough croissants, now no longer have these. Hope they will bring it back.

Great tasting sandwiches. The sourdough bread used was awesome especially when paired with the soup. Serving size was larger than I expected which is always a good problem to have. I highly recommend this spot.

Love their cakes. Best carrot cake in town. Valrohna choc cake also yummy. Set lunch limited choices and would not come back for the chili crab meat Mac and cheese. Fish & chip a good deal. Other 2 pasta choices weren’t appealing to me (prawn pasta and laksa pesto). Wishing that they offer more cake & coffee deals all day long.

I stopped in here on a rainy day and enjoyed the Fab Fry Up and a latte. The interior was cute and clean. I asked for a table next to an electrical socket and was shown multiple options. The chairs have pillows which made sitting and working very comfortable. The food, coffee, ambiance, and nice service make this café a great place to spend a few hours working!

Place recommended by a friend and it’s one of her favourites 😊 We came in on a weekday night, and it was empty. We had the whole place to ourselves which was fun! I ordered the Tuna Melt set, with the fudge cake. The drinks is by default ice tea. While the ice tea is just like all other ice teas, I was taken aback a bit by the tuna melt. I thought that it was going to be like a normal sandwich tuna melt toast. But it was a little different. The tuna melt itself was creamy and good. The tuna taste wasn’t overwhelming and strong. Some tuna melt can be very disappointing with the overwhelming strong tuna taste. However, the one I had was right on point, mixed with all other ingredients. And it came on top of a crunchy baguette! The baguette was done right, crusty on the outside and super soft inside! 🧡 Mind you, we were in an air conditioned place and we were talking in between bites. Surprisingly, the baguette and tuna stayed soft and good for the whole time I was catching up with my friend. So far, my best tuna melt baguette. You can give it a try. The choc fudge is also worth trying. All the bites were dense and sinful, but I feel healthy even after finishing the slice of cake 😂😂 Also worth trying !

who knew they have such amazing cafe food - special shoutout to that marvelous stack of raspberry pancakes! the batter tastes amazing, and there are raspberries buried within the pancakes as well. butter and maple syrup are optional (placed on the side) so you can gauge how much you want based on personal preference!

This cafe has an artsy and raw vibe, tucked in the corner away from the hustle and bustle at the main street, which makes a great place for friends and families to chill out over one of their many cake options, or even a full meal! The open carpark is just across the road too. We particularly love the bandung drink, sourdough grilled cheese set (lovely tomato soup by the way!) and the croissant was surprisingly good as well!

I loved the huge standing cakes, the many cakes that were calling out to me to choose them lol really like the ambience and the service - attentive staff- Nice place tucked away (okay not that tucked away) a little further from the main Bugis area to get a cake fix, a coffee fix and food fix. Waffle and chicken was splendid. Crispy honey drizzled chicken on crunchy waffle. Yum. The beef rack - huge! Worth the $45 I paid for it. To be shared with 3 people (warning!) the sandwich I had that day was the three cheese one. Their popular one was sold out 😢 nevertheless it was a good experience and yeah the coffee IS GOOD, long blacked or flat white ~ my second time there! ~ only thing was that the earl grey cake was a little dry. Maybe the tea? I wonder if anyone had a similar experience

Tried the banana French toast. It’s very unique and indulging for those who like sweetness. The bacon option is no longer available for French toast hence I ordered as side dish, which costed $6 which I felt is a bit too expensive for 3 pieces.

Been here a few times & although we're always spoilt for choice on the variety of cakes (with cute names)... I definitely recommend their chocolate cakes. The cakes are mostly soft & moist, so very much fresh. Definitely a place to think of when we have cake cravings! Plus, it's a nice place to chill & chit chat.

I don't usually leave negative review for business. However, this man (cashier) on 2 Jun 630pm is really not doing justice for the business. First cake is $11 each. A tad expensive no? Regardless, I bought 2 and he packed them together lying down (See attached photo). Cakes are ruined when I opened it. During ordering, he told me to download KaiKai app cos there is a discount in the app. Happily did it to support this app. After creating acct and he said sorry the cakes I bought cannot use the voucher. He knows what cakes I am ordering and yet he kept quiet until i was making the payment. Seriously, the cakes are not too nice too. Sub par service is what bothers me the most 😒 First and it will be the last visit to this business.

Main course wasn't that great, however I had the Corned Beef Hash which probably taste better than what my friends had, just needed more salt. They were out of chicken for their Grilled cheese sandwich, which was way too greasy. Couldn't even finish the half sandwich. Pasta was too heavy. On the good side, the Choc chip pancake was amazing. The banana walnut cake, you can give that a miss. Way too dry, not one bit of moisture. Piccolo latte was good. The interior of the café is pretty. Overall, not worth paying a 100 bucks for the entire meal.

BBQ beef grilled sandwich was flavoursome. The crunch on the sourdough, the right amount of cheese, and that succulent beef chuncks - DELIGHTFUL. Duck confit was a pleasant surprise. It was the right combo of mash and the apricot cranberry chutney. Will definitely be there again soon!

Your standard brunchy fare with nice dessert options on the side. Big portions too. We got the fish n chips, sticky bun, eggs benedict & a flat white. Prices are a little on the steeper side The flat white wasn’t much to rave about but it isn’t a coffee joint so I’ll let that slide. Just happy they had milk alternatives available. The fish n chips was massive. Three sizeable portions of fish with a mountain of fries to go along with it. The batter was light and crisp which was amazing considering how no beer was involved. The eggs benedict was decent as well. Eggs were cooked to perfection and it came with a side of roasted potatoes. The sticky bun was different to the ones I’ve had before. Instead of being bready it was almost flaky, like a croissant. The pecans added a nice crunch. Wish we had space for cake cos it all looked so good.

Overall the ambience is nice. We were here to try the cakes. Their cakes are more dense, we actually prefer more spongy ones. Ordered the Earl Grey and the Belgian Chocolate. Belgian Chocolate taste better as Earl Grey tasted more of a fruit cake.

Loved the cakes here. I like the overall feel of the place. The display of the yummy cakes is so inviting. A piece of cake and a cup of coffee, it's a good way to spend some time with friends.

I've always loved the movie, so when I found out about this cafe, I just had to check it out! We were greeted by the friendly Juanda (I think that's how it's spelled); he told me that the huge Moose head deco was handmade by him and his partner! The cafe has a quirky charm (check out the name of the pink cake!) that's laid back and cosy. The breakfast plate was huge, and we both could not finish. They very nicely packed the rest for us, right down to the sourdough bread, which I love. If you're around the area, this is certainly a nice place to chill out and relax, whether it's over a cuppa, pastry or meal.
