This is the only jetty you can take the river cruise from. The others are all closed; I tried the Merlion jetty but it was shuttered. That means it’s very crowded at this one. You don’t need to buy tickets in advance. It’s actually faster if you don’t and just get them at the booth. When you come up to the booth, the line for buying tickets is at the window closest to the street. The right side of the window is for “E-ticket verification” and the left window is for buying tickets. The buying tickets line moved a lot faster. After you buy it, then get into the “Red line” by the boat dock. The whole ordeal took 20 minutes and we were on the boat. It was Saturday night so I was surprised it didn’t take longer. In August, the perfect time to go is 7:15pm when it’s not too dark but the lights are all on. Overall, too expensive, too hectic and unorganized but good for a first time tourist.

A great way to see the city from a different perspective. The 40 minute cruise takes you on a scenic tour past many of the iconic points of Singapore including the Merlion fountain statue and Marina Bay Sands. Recommend buying tickets for a sunset cruise as the city begins to light up and sparkle. Plan to get in the queue early to have a chance to sit in the open air rear section for the best views.

Excellent way to see Singapore. We took the cruise from the Clarke Quay jetty at 6 pm. 1) Book your tickets online in advance as some time slots (evening) get filled up at counter. 2) Preferably book the 6-7pm slot as you get to see the transition to the night view. 3) Sit next to the window and carefully hold your mobile or camera as it can fall out. 4) You will need to wait in the queues for app 10-15 minutes before boarding. 5) The audio in the boat will highlight important buildings as you cruise. 6) Get a good camera. 7) Ride is 40 minutes. 8) Adult - S$ 28 and child - S$ 18 9) Some important landmarks that you can see: - The Fullerton Hotel - Marina Bay Sands - The Esplanade - Merlion See the brochure for the cruise map.

This was well worth the trip also assisted in visiting the river banks without needing to walk all the way. Lots of historic information and the ride is calming and relaxing. Lots of interesting and exciting photo vantage points. Best to ride on the right side of the boat. Price was decent and took less than an hour to complete

Must-experience when you visit Singapore. We especially recommend the river cruise in night. All the landmarks are shining with sparkling colorful lightning and we can feel comfortable wind from the river. This place is very popular, so you need to be in the long line to book the tickets in advance.

Good boat ride if you take the 7:30PM slot. You will be able to see the lights show at the Marina Bay Sands from the river, it gives a great view. 25$ however is pretty expensive.

Singapore River Cruise is excellent! Love the scenery and the ride was smooth with amazing educational information throughout the cruise. Anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city noise, you may want to try this. Very relaxing and calming. Highly recommended!

The river cruise was great. We went at nighttime and took the cruise from Clarke Quay. The ticket process was easy and we didn't have to wait long at all. The cruise was informative and super relaxing after a hot day. We also got treated to fireworks during the cruise due to Chinese New Year. Would definitely recommend taking the cruise at night. The river is gorgeous all lit up. The boats for the cruise are also all electric which is cool.

At first, we were quite hesitant because of the price. In the end, we went anyway because the kids really wanted to. Despite the rain that fell once we were on board, I would say, surprisingly, I had a great time! We went in the afternoon (around 4pm) & the boat itself wasn't too crowded, the queue wasn't too long either. The cruise is very informative, with lots of stories about the places near the river, and Singapore's history. Truly enjoyed the views too. Although, be warned, we saw the queue got quite long around dusk. Probably the promise of evening views is a huge crowd-puller. I don't think I enjoyed it any less going in the afternoon. I'd recommend you to try at least once in your lifetime, and see Singapore from a different viewpoint.

So I used my SG discovery voucher to book for this River cruise for my kids and myself. We truly enjoyed the 40min ride on a very fun cartoon/comic decorated boat. Highly recommend this to parents who want to do something fun with their kids this sch holiday.

Oh yes! An experience that's worth in Singapore. A bit pricey but that's Singapore. The gentleman on the boat was kind and asked us if we want photos. There us a clear English tour guide which tells you about the history and buildings that you see by both sides. Plenty opportunity for photos and a quite enjoyable ride.

Hubby and I spontaneously decided on the same day, to try the Singapore River Cruise for the first time. We were just used to walking along the riverside at Clarke Quay and the weather was also nice so we thought to give it a go. We managed to book the tickets via a travel app and got our confirmation in just a few seconds. Upon redemption at the counter, the crew will ask you for the QR code from your online booking and they will immediately give you your tickets. That time we redeemed our tickets around 4:20pm and the next trip will be around 4:45pm which was not a long wait and there was no queue as well. The boat has safety precautions, the boat staffs were very nice and did a mini safety brief. The ride was smooth, the weather was not that humid, and we enjoyed listening to the recorded audio guide as you cruise through the river's history. Overall, it was a great yet relaxing experience and highly recommended. The cruise took around 40mins. in total and back to the boat quay.

Best way to see night beauty of Singapore. There are several quays along Singapore river. However, I used Clarke Quay to start the journey and got down near Merlion. If you go during night time, there is a high chance of seeing the light show infront of Marina Bay Sands. Video was played ona TV inside the boat explaining places the boat pass by.

(Translated by Google) I rode around 7 o'clock and I could see both the night view and the sunset. I thought about taking a ride, but the view is different from just walking around. The wind is cool and it's perfect to sit back and watch.

Journey on the river by the quiet electric boat is relaxing. Bit sunny during the day tour but the breeze gives you company. You get to see iconic places of Singapore during the tour. Queue up front to get open deck seats and enjoy 45 minutes journey.

I have taken day and night ride and love both timing. Although night time is breezy and lively with the lighting, one can see the beauty of the places from Clarke Quay to boat quay, the structures more vividly during the day time. $20 for the ride is well spent and can use SRV through Klook.

An amazing 40-min cruise that passes most of the Singapore landmarks. I bought the tickets online (on Klook) for a slight discount and chose the 7pm timing to get the best of both world - see the Singapore skyline during the day as it transitions into the night. Do take note that if you do buy the tickets online, you will need to exchange it at the service kiosk for a physical ticket by letting the staff scan the QR Code booking. For those easily seasick, you needn't worry as the cruise was completely smooth sailing (Ha! Pun intended) and didn't sway at all. Highly recommended for those seeking a different more relaxed perspective of Singapore from its usual fast paced hustle and bustle.

Been there a few times, usually with people visiting Singapore, this tour is good as an initiation tour of Singapore. 1. Buy the tickets online. In all my visits never found tickets on the high demand slots in the ticket office, from 6-8 is the high demand times. 2. The roofed area of the boat gives you view of only one side but the tv display helps follow the commentary easily. The open area obviously provides unrestricted views, but more suitable for non-sunny times of day. 3. Best time to book, 6/7 PM slots, not too hot and can sea the architecture clearly. 4. The queueing staff were borderline rude to English speakers - based on multiple experiences. 5. It is not a photographer’s paradise, if you are into photography - there are thousands of stops along the way with better views. 6. If you book taxi, book at C01 pickup/ drop off point on river valley road. Take a left after you come to the water area in the middle of Clarke quay.

Not every stop is working and it’s ain’t mentioned where to get the tickets or the cruise starts so we had to google it, thankfully it was a short walking distance near Hooters just across the Clarke quay central mall . Ticketing and waiting line is not bad at all very fast. We loved the tour and we took a lot of pictures as you can see a lot of great scenery. I would recommend sunset time it’s magical.

My recent Singapore River Cruise experience left me disheartened. The staff lacked kindness and compassion, especially towards elderly guests. Frustrated, I opted for WaterB Cruise instead. While I acknowledge the long history of operations, I believe that a focus on customer service is crucial for sustained success.

The river cruise was definitely worth it. I would recommend it. I found the guide on the boat very funny and friendly and had great history knowledge. I just have one complaint, the ticket staff was very unfriendly.

  • 5/5 P K. 4 years ago on Google
Liked the fact that all boats are now electric and very very quiet. The best time is late evening. Take the tickets in advance as the queue is quite long even during off peak hours. Lots of tour operators come here and there are suddenly 30 people in front of you.

It's a well planned attraction but run by very rude and unprofessional staff. I arrived a few minutes before 7 and saw the boatman walk towards the boat. Asked the reception if I can still get the ferry. Well the guy raised his voice and told me "Who are you? Even the prime minister also cannot stop the boat." "No way to talk to the boat driver now." And proceeds to communicate w the boat driver. You can be crude. But you would not be a good fit for the service line. Don't let your colleagues look bad.

The cruise starts at Clarke Quay, makes a loop near the Esplanade at Marina Bay, and goes back to Clarke Quay. You may start at either jetty and end at the same jetty. The 60-minute cruise includes the 40-minute route. But it goes farther up-river to Robertson Quay and covers newer sections on the River.

A spot of nature right in the heart of the city - within walking distance from both Clarke quay and city hall. My favourite structure is and will always be this split pillar entrance. Not too sure exactly where it’s located but this whole area gives off a nice Bali-style vibe.

Even possible by rain. Very nice and informativ trip. A video tells you about what you see. I highly recommend this 40 minute trip for 28 Dollar. There are many restaurants in this area, where one can wait. We bought tickets and then we went for a drink at Hooters, waiting for the trip to start.

Great experience for tourists to have a quick glimpse on Singapore's now and then. The whole trip takes you about 40 minutes. Buy online with an open dated ticket (valid for 3 months from the purchase date) to enjoy a flexible schedule and a smoother onboarding. It starts only at Clark Quay Jetty(next to Block E). The cruise will go upstream a bit of Singapore River, then patrol one round in the Marina Bay. Free seating, for a 360 angle photo/video taking, you might want to take the outside seats, while the sheltered seats are more spacious, quiet ---- so you can listen to the narration and won't miss any of the hotspots along the route, yet certain angle of your perspective view could be blocked by side window frames,or wrongly focused on some foreground objects. Sometimes I hope the ceiling is transparent but it would not be a Sampan anymore! 😆 It would be better if you do some homework--- study a bit of the hotspots before hand, to maximize the output of the tour. If your captain is experienced enough, he will bring you to a certain distance for a full shot or close-up, he also knows when to slow down and approach the hotspots for the best angle of photo shooting. So considerate! By the way, the appearance of these Sampan boats still maintains the looking of old days but engines have been upgrated, 0 noise 0 smoke 0 oily smell, it is worry-free for tourists!

Definitely a fun way to see the sights of Singapore from the river. Definitely sit on the side that is behind the boat captain … those get the best views. And try to go at sunset or in the evening to see some stunning perspectives of the city.

A wonderful, relaxed and unique way to explore this city. The guided tour also gives you interesting information about the history of the city and important landmarks here. We went around 5 PM which we felt was the perfect time to see the city in a bit of daylight as well as dusk, when the city started to light up. Even though it was drizzling when we went, the boats had ample seating and big open windows inside, to view everything comfortably. Of course, the view and seating outside are better, but we still saw everything up close and got great pictures from the inside too. Would definitely recommend doing this on your trip to Singapore, if you have the time and want to do something different.

There is a little wind that cools a little. I did this cruise around 5 p.m. There are few people, which is more convenient for taking beautiful photos. To discover the essentials of Singapore, without fatigue and in the cool, this is really the ideal activity. You can do it at night and watch the sound and light show on the water from the boat. The boat will park for the duration of the show. I recommend this day cruise to discover the city and have a good time (Planned duration 45mn minimum). (Original) Croisière sur l’a fleuve. Fantastic cruise on the Singapore. We have done it during the day, but it is best by night, all boats are now electric and very very quiet. The best time is late evening. Take the tickets in advance as the queue can be quite long even during off peak hours.

Booked Singapore River Cruise through klook. This is a fun experience. But Very short ride, still its fun and nice with commentary of the places. I suggest take the one with the light show at marina bay. The light show is absolutely worth it. Hoever, you could even just walk to marina bay and watch it, its free for public.

Good place for sight seeing and learn about Singapore history especially from 1300 till now. Place is well maintained. Come early to avoid the hot sun in the afternoon. 10am is already getting warm now. Many people come here to take outdoor wedding photos

The children’s play area with a variety of slides, sand play areas, seesaws, swinging seats and viewing platform covered in vines and flower is a great spot to take the young ones. The weekends are very busy but sitting on the grassy slope in the shade watching them have fun is good. The rest of Fort Canning Park is a lovely area to walk around. Be aware of some steep hills and stairs, but the recently installed escalators help in some areas. Very relaxing and peaceful in places.

Beautiful and well-maintained colonial park. Unique trees and plant species if you take time to look at them. Love the greenery and the open space. It's shady too. Accessible as it's next to Downtown line, Fort Canning MRT.

Very nice park in the heart of the city. Amazing and peaceful place to enjoy of nice walk at anytime. You can run away from the busy city very easily and enjoy of a historic place, the legacy of the English colonial time. Very green, and adapted to everyone. Please don't bring your bike it is not the place. You can work out here just opposite Clarke Quay. There are some chickens running around. Very convenient and well located.

Great historical site where I wrote my essay for one of history modules at NUS about. So is there really a Singapore before Singapore? Is there king before there is a prime minister? Answers can be found here. In addition to having a good walk after a full meal at nearby places, it is also a good place to paktor and take wedding photos, as ROM is nearby too.

This was the most amazing and memorable part of our Singapore trip...the river cruise. It start at the Clark Quay and takes you all the way to the Merlion, the Marina Bay and back. In addition to these two attractions it also gives you a peek through of the corporate world in Singapore... The tall skycrapering corporate buildings and to contradict them there are vividly multi colored smaller buildings on the river bay which add beauty to the area and are simply breathtaking. The cruise includes a telebot narrator who asks the cruise progresses narrates the history of the surrounding area. The cruise is typically called the BUM BOATS... they are in eye catching red and green color with a big set of eyes...!!! It also has a covered seated area (in case it rains during the cruise tour) as well as a open deck (which allows you a 360 degree view and capture the most of the surrounding on the river tour)...! Enjoy your bum boat ride with family and friends!!!

The best attractive for the tourist who comes to Singapore. As it covers major attractions of Singapore while you enjoy the boat ride across the Singapore river like Merlion, MBS, Esplanade... Its location is right Opp. to Clarke where you also have lot of easteries which includes Cafes, Restaurant, Pub,...

Amazing 40mins night cruise that brings one down Singapore river where the icons are, shining with lights in clear night skies. On a good day, the breeze is good through the ride and brings add on delight.

  • 5/5 Soo Hin Y. 2 years ago on Google
Great views of the city and river, cruise was well narrated on Singapore’s history. Cruise departed on time, boat was clean and overall the cruise took about 30-minutes. It costs $20 per adult and you can redeem with Singapore Rediscover Vouchers. Understand the cruise used to make stops as Boat Quay, Robertson Quay and Clark Quay and the journey would take 40–minutes but under current pandemic mode, the cruise departs and ends at Clark Quay only.

  • 1/5 Tan E. 2 years ago on Google
So much information on their site has not been updated even thou we are deep into this new 5pax phase. First of all we went to the wrong kiosk because Google brought us there, it was only because of a small sign that we then went to the right one we wanted to hop off at MBS but were told we could no longer do that. Customer service was horrible, felt more like they were just pushing on the blame to us.

Went on the cruise on 15 Jan and it was enjoyable. Attempted in Dec 2020 but due to bad weather, it was postponed to Jan 2022. The weather was good yesterday and the uncle who was navigating the bumboat was friendly and helpful. He even offered to take photos for us and provided good advice. Thanks for the nice ride!

Singapore River Cruise is an amazing water cruise experience for anyone. The Bumboats are properly balanced on the river (with less/no turbulence) during the cruise. The Short Cruise Experience Ticket then goes for SGD18. The Short Cruise Experience starts at Clarke Quay, makes a loop near the Esplanade at Marina Bay and then drops off visitors by the Merlion Park Jetty.

  • 5/5 Blayde 1 year ago on Google
A great little cruise showing you the bay as well as attractions alongside the water, including Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, all the quays along the shore as well as their history. There was also an informative tour for all the bridges we passed under. A great but short 45 minute ride on a surprisingly comfortable electric boat.

  • 4/5 Minerve 1 year ago on Google
It's a cruise of 40 min for 25 dollars. Nice views from the boat of Clark Quay, Marina Bay and more. A tape runs in English and explains the different monuments with a little humour.

  • 4/5 Johann W. 1 year ago on Google
Very relaxing 40 minutes cruising the river taking in the environment and atmosphere while looking at the buildings, including the merlion from a different angle. Note, there is no commentary as such, but the crew did share some details and offered to take photos - the curse of our era. Don't forget to exchange your online vouchers for actual paper tickets before boarding. otherwise, the wife will be giving you a hard time.

Solid experience, especially for tourists, but even for Singaporeans like me. Good for kids. Nice vessel, good commentary, nice views and historical sights. Try to sit at back of craft which is roofless.

Great way to see Singapore river and Marina Bay Sands, love the silence of the electrical propelled boats. Crew is super friendly and takes pictures of everyone and let the kids stear the boat as well. Not my first Singapore river cruise, nor my last one either.

Five stars! I booked this bumboat cruise through Klook for my family, we were stunned at the “bang for your buck” experience (approx $24/pp, 40 minute). The views on the river cruise were spectacular. I’d recommend doing the 7pm cruise as it’s just becoming dusk. We had a short (approximately 8 minute) wait to redeem our tickets, and another short wait to board the boat. Hot tip: ask the tour guide to open your window.

It was incredible to experience the heritage and history of Singapore on a 40-minute cruise along the Singapore River to explore the sights of Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, the Merlion, and Marina Bay :) If you are a short-term visitor and arriving by flight, you can endeavour this experience for free using SingapoRewards (only if you are redeeming for the first time).
