Lovely exhibit of turtles and tortoises. Each turtle and tortoise has a name and a bio about their own species. Interesting to read about and gain more information in regards to place of origin! They also offer feeding material for the turtles and tortoises - $4 for some pellets and a bunch of green leafy vegetables. We would recommend getting a few sets as the turtles go through it all quite quickly (an extra set of vegetables only costs $2). Pay in cash if you are not a local! Overall a great place and good for kids too!

Lovely place, looks severely underfunded though so I’m glad to have contributed with a trip down. Maybe Singaporeans should understand that it’s not easy maintaining and running a place for such animals before complaining about the “high” entrance fees. As adults, we thoroughly enjoyed the feeding process too. Greedy little reptiles, all of them! They also do have some interesting ones such as Aldabra Giant Tortoise, Spotted Pond Turtle and a number of Pig-nosed turtle - all three species of which are vulnerable or endangered (which further justify why we should support them financially either with a visit or donation). Extremely friendly staff too. Thanks for all you do guys, keep the animals well-fed and safe! :)

Man i wished i had came previously. Took me long enough but finally came. No crowd although it is a weekend. Guessed that people fancied their malls more than our nature. Small but kampung styled setup. $10 for local prices Primary 1 and above is very reasonable for me to play my small role in preserving the species. There are some of them roaming freely as you enter and the experience starts from there. Some of them may even follow you end to end aa they know you have the yummy vegetables! Even caught 2 of them having a small battle head to head! I captured it in my video and attached it here to my review. Very nicely managed and organized. Puchased my tickets and feeds online. They are moving 1st quarter 2024 to opposite HomeTeam Khatib so pay a visit before its gone!

We came on an early Saturday afternoon and were surprised to find out visitors were scarce. There is not much to do here aside from viewing the various turtles and tortoises and feeding them at an additional $2 per food portion, but it is worth the trip down for turtle lovers! 🐢 However, facilities are dilapidated and in dire need of upgrading. The poor cramped living conditions of the turtles shocked us as they barely had space to even swim without any enrichment, the photos speak for themselves. We hope improvements can be made by the museum in this regard to give their animals a better life.

I recently visited the Live Turtle Museum in Singapore, it was a truly unique and fascinating experience. The museum is home to over 700 turtles and tortoises from around the world, making it a must-visit destination for animal lovers and nature enthusiasts. The facility is well-maintained and clean, with informative displays and friendly staff who are always ready to answer questions and share their knowledge about these amazing creatures. The displays were spread out and there was enough space of a set of them. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to get up close and personal with the turtles and tortoises. The museum offers guided tours that allow visitors to interact with the animals, feed them, and even touch them. The experience was incredible, and I was amazed by the variety of species on display, from tiny hatchlings to massive Sulcata tortoises. While the museum is certainly worth a visit, there are a few areas where I felt improvement could be made. The water in some of the displays was a bit murky, making it difficult to fully appreciate the beauty of the animals. Additionally, the facility can be a bit crowded at times, which can make it challenging to navigate the exhibits and get a good view of the animals. They are moving to a new larger facility close to the current one and are looking for funding to support the move. Overall, the Live Turtle Museum is a hidden gem in Singapore that offers a unique and educational experience for visitors of all ages. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in learning more about these fascinating creatures and the conservation efforts being made to protect them. My favorite display was the giant Aldabra tortoises, which can live up to 150 years and are truly awe-inspiring to see up close. So, if you're looking for a memorable and informative experience during your time in Singapore, be sure to add the Live Turtle Museum to your itinerary. It's a great way to connect with nature and learn about the incredible diversity of the animal kingdom. Happy trails!

There are many turtle or tortoise for you to interact with as a private museum. Got a few active tortoise walking around, but refuse to eat the vegetables we bought from the reception. The tortoise eat the grass on the ground instead, quite disappointed and wasted $2 to buy the vegetables. However, the turtle in the pond love the food. And much more fun and also a lot more that the tortoise. I recommend to buy the turtle food instead of vegetables. Beware of the mud during rainy season, as you have to step on the mud to reach to the tortoise. Overall experience is good, and also interesting to see a lot of turtle merchandise collection there.

Kids do have some fun feeding the tortoise and learning some of the exotic turtles but actually these can be learn from the river Safari too. This space is much more smaller than before when they are previously located at Jurong Lake Garden. Almost all the tortoises are being kept in their own area or tanks. Only those terrapins in the ponds are able to roam around freely. Areas are also not well maintained. I think previously Chinese Garden area at Jurong was definitely a much better environment for these pets.

Such a fun place to bring the kids to! You can feed the turtles and tortoise, and let the kids touch them as well. Just a note, the place is not air conditioned, it’s rather warm so bring lots of water and wear something comfortable. You can buy the food for $2 each but not all of the tortoise you can feed yeah. And not all of them will eat it too. I guess it depends on their mood🤦🏽‍♂️

Went down on a Wednesday. It was crowded due to school holidays. The heat was extreme due to the weather. Nevertheless fun adventure for kids. The tortoise and turtles didn't want to eat the food after sometime cause they were full from all the food from the visitors 😂 So adorable though 😍 Me and my family definitely enjoyed our time with them 🤗😊

My kids had a great time experiencing feeding the tortoises and touching their hardcover body. It’s sad that they are moving far away… but we truly hope the environment for the tortoises will be much better. Worth bringing your toddlers to engage with tortoises & turtles.

Exciting place to visit. The turtles are cute and there are many big tortoises as well. Can buy some foods (vegetables) to feed them. The big tortoises might be scary to feed because it bites. The turtles are many at the pond and can just drop the food to feed. There are many species here, special one will be at aquariums because not many of the species. The normal ones are walking around the area. Easily spotted out so we don't accidentally step on them. Free for kids below 4 years old. Each visitor is $10 for adult / child above 4 years.

Good value. Some tortoises and turtles you can feed (leaves to the tortoises, pellets to the turtles in the pond, nothing to those in tanks or cages). Takes about an hour or an hour and a half. Fun for the kids. Animals are friendly, but you are warned to not let your fingers get close. Not too busy. As at 12 September 2012, requires over 12y to be vaccinated both doses for covid-19, group size restricted to 5. Under 12s welcome with adults.

Do not know there have a Turtle & Tortoise museum until my friend brought me here. The entry fees $10 and veg/food $4. Recommend to buy veg/food and feed them. U will sure enjoy and worth the price. currently it located in Lorong Chencharu – will move to a nearby site, adjacent to HomeTeamNS Khatib in Yishun Walk. Looking forward to meet them again.

A nice place to bring kids to see different kinds of turtles and tortoise. There is a gigantic tortoise here and many different other tortoise too. Haven't seen so many turtles for a while. I'm shy when the Gigantic tortoise looking at me when I using handphone for a selfie with him... Very huge leh. Nice, spend some time without gadgets for kids. At the same time, our entrance fees will help them to up keep the place too. Abit pricey for $10 each pax if you don't mind the price. Well, in Singapore, to have such a place and to maintain is not n easy and profitable I should say. Treat it as a donation fund then you will feel more comfortable. 😊

What an interesting place! If you love turtles and tortoises you might want to make a trip down. You will be given some vegetables to feed them, right from the entrance of the farm. While they might be too full if you reach in the afternoon, they will probably be hungrier in the morning. Be careful of your fingers! There are some other turtles in tanks, which are also part of the museum. Overall an educational trip that is experiential as well.

I've always enjoyed visiting the turtle museum, ever since they were located at Chinese Garden. I love the free and easy interactions we were allowed to do with the giant tortoise, and of cos enjoy feeding these greedy hungry giants. The entry and vegetables (for feeding) has always remained reasonable. Its very kids friendly too!

It’s a small “zoo” where you can interact with the different turtles and tortoises. You can pet them. The entrance for Singaporean adults are $10 and feeding (green leaves and pellets) is $4. Take note they don’t accept card payment, only cash and pay now. You’ll spend about 1 hour here. It was a little sad to see all the turtles having algae and some of their shells were not in a healthy state.

For the price point, the tortoise habitat is pretty small. Composes of a grassland area for the tortoises to walk around freely, two rows of tanks with turtles inside and 2 large ponds located at the sides with many many turtles. It is quite a small place, but you should visit once in your life if you have small children to bring along with you. Had the same vibes as visiting a fish farm. However, the tanks at the back were mostly poorly maintained, with some of them having maggots inside of them. However, it was an unforgettable experience as there aren’t that many farm areas located near the heartlands. Do visit if you’d like to support them.

Very fun time at the Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum! It's a cute little background area with some turtles roaming around, and then others in their habitats. I wasn't expecting to see them so big! I definitely recommend you to come and not miss out on this experience.

For children and tortoise lovers. Two ponds, many tanks and a free roving area for about 6-8 tortoises to roam freely. Feed are at $2 each for portions of caixin, cabbage and pellets. Spent about 45 mins to an hour. Slippers / crocs are highly recommended as your shoes can get muddy. They do have a washing area for hands. Free parking is available outside. Limited time to visit this as the area is lined up for redevelopment.

Staff were kind and friendly. They gave instructions at the start to inform you which turtles can be fed and which can’t. So if anyone goes there and gets scolded for feeding the wrong one i think it’s on yourself. Place was also much cleaner that what i had expected and although the space was small it was still worth the time seeing the different kind of turtles plus feeding them which only cost $4! Would definitely recommend going with young kids!

A good place to bring the children to have a look and feel of live turtles and tortoises (apart from the usual terrapin species that we typically see in aquariums or pet shops). We even caught a pair of tortoises mating! This was a good opportunity to explain the "birds and the bees" to young children and how different species reproduce. I liked the idea that we were able to interact with the turtles/tortoises, albeit limited to some species (those kept in the tanks or pens were not to be fed as they had a different diet, as advised by the centre).

Didn't know we have a tortoise/turtle sanctuary here in Singapore. A small area for large tortoises to roam, a cute pond for red eared sliders to sun bask, and a few tanks which house mainly pig nosed turtles. Spent an enjoyable hour here.

Oh boy the turtles have lotsa vegetables to eat. Everyone buys the food and well, let's just say there is a lot of balance. Kids will enjoy feeding the turtles but exercise caution when feeding as they bite. There isn't much information on the turtles itself so do take note. The turtles are not afraid of people at all and there is a fair bit of variety.

This is a great place to bring young children for education on how to appreciate tortoises and turtles. You can clearly see that this place is being run on tight budget. It is heartening that they are getting support from visitors of all walks of life. Kids love feeding the reptiles; be it greens or pellets. Remember to follow the rules during your visit here

I visited in Dec 2023, and brought my family along. My kids loved the place and enjoyed visiting the turtles and tortoises there. The entry fees are reasonable. Staff were friendly and we fed the turtles and tortoises multiple times. We bought souvenirs (tortoise figurines) as well on the way out. I first visited them when they were still at Chinese Garden, and am glad to see that that African Spurred Tortoises are still there. Will definitely return again. There is a bus stop about two minutes walk from the location, with buses leading to Yishun and Tampines.

Will visit Live Turtle Museum monthly. Hope more locals visit them. Surprisingly not many Singaporean are aware that they exist. If you have ever had a turtle as pet, know that much effort and care is needed for them. Water and environment condition. Hope Live Turtle Museum will grow more beautifully 😄

We always make sure to stand by the entrance counter to listen to warnings (about how to keep safely away from turtle mouths) and also pay our entrance ticket fees before entering. Do note this place is not a free museum. Which museums are free nowadays? Rental is high and maintaining turtles and their habitats is high. Turtles are well cared for and our kids enjoy their visits every time. It is fun to see a wide range of different turtles in the convenience of a single space and also be able to feed them.

LOVED visiting this place ever since they were located at Chinese Garden. It's a lovely, delightful little gem where you can learn so much about turtles and tortoises. Entrance fees at $6 for 3-6 year olds and $10 for local adults are very reasonable. The manager is a passionate and caring lady continuing her father's legacy. And of course, how could you skip out on visiting a place that actually is in the Guinness Book of World Records? I would absolutely love to go back for a 3rd visit. :)

A surprise find. Huge turtles roaming freely in the grounds. Food for turtles can be purchased in pellet or vegetable form. $2 for either. Pellets for turtles in the pond, vegetables for turtles on land. Turtle feeding took place the moment you enter the compound as the turtles walk up to you! Slightly scary but great fun to be up close to them. We got to gently touch their shells, see them get a bath, feed them. Dear daughter's finger got bitten but there was clean water and plaster on hand. The turtles mouth moves fast! Watch for when the vegetable gets closer to their mouths and release the vegetable before your finger gets bitten! Then we threw the pellets into the ponds to feed the smaller turtles. It was really cute to see the turtles stacked up adjacent to the pond. A fun way to spend an hour or two in the afternoon. We'll be back

Very nice place for interacting with animals (turtles). They are friendly but keep your fingers at your palms, they could bite you woman's fingers are delicious dish for turtles 😁. But some cheap turtle snacks it is worth a try to feed them. I spend there about 40-50 minutes. The territory not too big can visit everything in 10 minutes. But the most interesting part is still feeding. Entrance starts from 6$, food 2$ (for turtles of course), exit for free!

The place contains a lot of freshwater Brazilian turtle, some vulnerable pig nosed turtle in individual tanks, a few snapping turtle, a few endangered Asian Tortoise, and a 30 years old giant Tortoise. There are wild monkeys outside the fence which might surprise the kids sometimes. However, this place seems would need better support from government. Would be much better if this place is located next to the zoo, night safari, and river wonders. My kids bought turtle fidget popper from the zoo, unfortunately it isn't available in this turtle museum.

Was able to get really close and hands on with observing and feeling some tortoises and terrapin. There were enough of them crawling around for all the children to engage. Was not too crowded on a weekend early afternoon, although it was very warm. Expect a queue at later timings. Ticket prices were $10 for 7yo and above, $6 for children 3-6yo. Feed was available at $2.

Came here on xmas day and wasn't too crowded! Its 10dollars per pax for adult/Singaporean. And u can add 2dollars to buy vegetables/feed to feed the turtles. There are really loads of turtles and tortoises inside. Although somepart of the place is a little small to accommodate so many turtles. Really like to see xiao hei the turtle. So adorable. Great for kids to come!

Located 15 minutes walk away from Khatib MRT in Orto, and another 8 minutes walk into the museum. The place is great if you would like to reconnect with nature as there are other activities you can do in the area. Adult admissions were $10 each, and to feed the turtles and tortoise is another $2. You get a small basket of veggies that you can hand feed the tortoises. The place was rather small and looked a bit run down. It also housed a lot of turtles and tortoise. A lot of them were kept in tanks which had place cards explaining the breed and some information about them. Some tortoise were free roaming while others were kept in enclosures. As we had visited on a Saturday afternoon, the place was bustling with people. It was so crowded that more than 3 people were feeding the same tortoise. The whole place was only manned by 2 people when we went, one was in charge of admissions and the other were busy preparing the basket of veggies. Not sure if they are understaffed on normal days as well as one of the turtle I saw looked like it was struggling to breathe. I informed the staff and he took a look and said it was normal for them. So I didn't think of it that much. It would be a nice place to visit it were a bit bigger and more well maintained. There was also a huge display of turtle/tortoise memorabilia and small souvenir shop selling keychains and figurines. Overall, I think it would be a great place for kids to visit to learn more about turtles and tortoises. However, do keep a lookout if you don't want to lose your fingers as the tortoises will chomp down on whatever you give to them with your hands.

The place is a little small, but what else can you expect in Singapore? Still, if you are a tortoise, there is quite a fair bit of room to roam around and eat vegetables offered to you by nearly all the visitors there (I think at the price of $2). It is a unique attraction, and they do have a wide variety of tortoises and turtles to look at and take photos of. Before you go in, you are cautioned about not sacrificing your fingers to the tortoises. Apart from that you are left to your own devices to roam around and look at Master Oogways. Good experience for me

Indeed an interesting museum with a vast array of species, never thought I'll see Alligator Snapping Turtles in Singapore. There are many staff around to ensure the shelled residents are safe and comfortable in their home, receiving guests through the day. Its very eco friendly and thus washing hands after the visit was slightly more challenging, with a given pail of used water. Hope that can be enhanced a little with proper sink or facility. Hand sanitisers to accompany, after the hand washing will be even more ideal. Regardless my daughter, mom and myself had a fulfilling experience for a Sunday afternoon!

I think it’s a great place for kids. Lots of different turtles in different sizes, roaming freely. You can actually touch them and have a close interaction.Even though the place is small you can easily spend 45min to an hour in there. The kids loved feeding the turtles. The lady at the counter was very friendly. If your children tend to cry or scream then this is not the place to bring them as the turtles get disturbed with loud noises and you may have to leave. I highly recommend this place for kids or adults who love turtles. It’s absolutely worth the cost. FYI we took a cab there and back, so no issue with accessibility

Fun for kids to feed the turtles. The turtles can really eat non stop. So everyone got a chance to feed it

Went with my boys for the first time today and they enjoyed their time there feeding the tortoises and terrapins. Nice staff there who were all very kind and friendly. Entrance fees ($10 adults / $6 for seniors and children above 3) and $2 for each portion of food for purchase, can be paid either by Cash or Paynow. Managed to speak to the lady boss of the place and I understand that the government has extended the lease for 1.5 years for this place; so she’s like left hanging - unsure if a relocation is possible or if a closure is imminent. She’s a lovely lady, kind and I understand her concerns. Hopefully help from all sorts - volunteers, funds and government support would come her way soon! All the best! Thumbs up!

not much to see for a $10 dollars entry fees. the animals are fully fed and lazy to move around with tons of visitors. there should be more sitting areas inside the farm and also some live guides and shows to keep the visitors amazed. the farm is a bit run down

Fun little place to pass a nice time while at Orto. You can feed the animals, and there are quite a bit of different turtles and tortoises. Would be great for kiddos.

Location is small but it does have quite a good number of live specimens to view and get close to unlike the other places where you can view them from afar without paying the heavy price of getting private tours and stuffs. The gentleman at the counter was really nice and polite adding a plus point for anyone who visits! We accidently dropped our feeds since the kids are a bit eager to see the turtles and he just gave us as a form of service recovery, something which is hard to come by now ondays from someone. (Couldn't catch his name but wears a dream catcher earring) Overall the staff and environment is perfect. 10/10 would recommend.

Suitable for family outing and kid friendly place. You can experience the fun of feeding tortoises and turtles, and it's a great opportunity to let children get close to animals.

👍👍 Temple is temple. No rating is required. God Mariamman is our kula theivam. While I settle my family in Singapore, blessings I got a house near Sree maha mariamman temple. We visited almost twice every month. Devotees serving good and fantastic pooja's. Feel like good meditation. All of our memories...

👍👍 My girls are in love with Dinosaurs, so thought to bring them to this indoor park. Really great idea! The tour guide Charissa was super helpful, very entertaining and engaging. The kids love her and we even took a photo with her. Definitely 💯 should go if you haven’t been there yet 👍🏻🥳🦕
