Absolutely loved my experience here especially since the guided tour (only on Weds for now) which really helped to bring the toys alive - along with an amazing history lesson (with toys from WWII, Communist China, the Slave Trade in America), and much reminiscing of my childhood. Was nice that there was a craft activity for my kids, maybe one more would be even better. Would love to get regular updates so that I know when most of the exhibits have changed so that I can plan my next visit.

Brings back nostalgic memories of my old toys. Came here and had a blast of a time looking at all the toys which brought back so many memories of my old toys which unfortunately did not stand the test of time unlike the toys in this very fine museum. I especially love the displays of the Mickey Mouse, Felix the Cat, Barbie and Mask toys. I am especially impressed with the Transformer toy which transforms into a cassette player. The most precious toy displayed would probably be the auction House certified Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I can’t wait to revisit this museum again to see the ever evolving collection of toys. Such a delight for adults and children alike. Thank you.

Depends on value and ur budget i gave 10 out of 5 stars as nostalgic fan of Historic 1930ish and 1960s era collections Also big fan of prince le petit. Heman collection nearly bring me tears 25 sgd(20usd) entrance fee seem a bit much of only5 floors of townhouse but quality trump quantity always.

I walked past the museum while walking towards Raffles City, and it piqued my interest. They have a quirky collection of rare toys that will fill you with a sense of nostalgia! I loved that each floor had a dedicated them for the characters/toys on display and got a history lesson about their origins. If you have some time and want to see something unique, I would definitely recommend visting. They’ve got a cafe on the rooftop and a bar in the basement if you’re looking for a drink or a bite to eat! PS: You’ll save $5 if you purchase the ticket online vs at the museum

I loved this place, some of the toys here definitely bring back childhood memories. If you are 30 years or older, I think you would appreciate this museum. Younger generations might not be able to understand it as most of the toys here are older than them.

A very well curated collection, even some toys going back to the 1800's. Very interesting to a toy collector and general public. There are also some tabke top toys that can be played, also large versions too.

It was a nice place to visit on a rainy afternoon. Opened my eyes to toys from the early / mid 1900s from U.S and U.K and brought back nostalgia to my childhood toys like Barbie and GI Joe. But im not sure if the current ticket price justifies.

Clean and well maintained! Brought back wonderful childhood memories. Saw many toys that I never knew existed. Kids are kids no matter where they grow up. We all need toys and fun in our lives. Great place to bring back memories and definitely make some new ones.

I wish that some of it were updated. There were no power rangers and mmpr has been around in Japan since the 70's. There was not much He-Man either. In fact, there was only 1. These are the toys that made us and we didn't get to see them there. I think the entrance fee was too expensive and no one should experience the mint museum twice. Once is more than okay.

My recent visit to the Mint Museum of Toys in Singapore with my family was a truly enriching and nostalgic experience. This hidden gem of a museum took us on a captivating journey through time, immersing us in a world of vintage toys and cherished memories. Each vintage toy carries a symbolic value, a piece of history and a slice of culture. As we explored the various exhibits, we were transported back to our own childhoods, reliving the joy of playing with classic toys and games. The museum's extensive collection, spanning decades and countries, showcased everything from antique dolls to rare action figures, with a rich history making it a treasure trove for enthusiasts of all ages. Some of my old toys were on display too! I had the chance to share the joy of my childhood with my kid!

Did not quite work for me. Perhaps the international flavour was too strong to evoke nostalgia for someone with a poor neighborhood past. Nevertheless, it was good exposure for the kids. The place is quite small despite the big entrance fees.

Perfect little museum sprinkled with enough interactive activities to keep everyone happy. The collection is well presented and you get a sense of how toys changed in time. We recognised enough familiar ones and discovered some we never knew existed. Look out for the Hitler Pin Cushion mocked Hitler and raised morale amongst Americans which made everyone laugh.

My favourite past time is to explore museums in Singapore. This museum is unique because it showcase all the antique toys from very long ago. There is detailed description on the history of the toy.I believe it should be highly recommended to young people and kids and they can learn the development of toys.

Wonderful experience here. My family has been here before the revamping of the museum. Took 2 years for the museum to be revamped and its a great experience now. Blown away by the breadth and depth of the collection. Using the Augmented Reality app, it’s the first time I spent so long in a museum. Even my daughter was entertained by the AR experience and all the interactive exhibits in the museum. Time just flew by when we were here! There is a current rotating collaboration exhibit with a Singaporean watch brand and as a watch collector I found this very interesting. I read a previous review which stated the place was boring and stuffy and thought the reviewer was a bit harsh. Would highly recommend this museum to ALL families! 😁

Amazing journey to some of the most beloved toys and characters of our generation. The place is not hard to find and cozy. The staff are very friendly and checking the place out is very direct and to the point, not complicated at all. They even give you an iPad to listen to the information free of charge, and your kids under 7 are free to enter the museum. It is a must see destination for collectors to bring back the inner child in you!

The entrance fee was pricey for me. The toys in display all induced nostalgia and you learn interesting trivia now and then. But other than the trip down memory lane, only collectors will really appreciate the place. Kids will want to see SOME toys but since you cant play with them, adults are the target audience here, I think.

The museum is housed in between other buildings hence it may not look obvious from the exterior. There is an extensive collection from mid 1800s till 1980s but it was a bit hard for me to relate as I am not from the generation of toys. The dim lighting, high shelving and the items being crammed together in the display case made it difficult to look at the toys in detail. Nonetheless it is worth a visit if you are into comic characters, collectibles, or simply to appreciate how playtime was like in the past.

Five floors full of old toys. Really interesting look into the past, and how toys were so diversified. Will be interesting for adults too, as well as younger adults to see the old version of the toys and cartoons we are familiar with. Price of $15 for adult ticket is slightly expensive though. Expect to spend about an hour here.

Had an AR guided story-telling tour and workshop for the kids. It will engage the younger kids with the toys exhibit and simple fun when the kids can colour and get their works scanned into the app and move it around in different views. 5 levels of toys exhibit to view, it will surely bring back fond memories for the adults. If you are here in the evening, there is a roof top bar too! Nicely renovated space! Love it!

While not a very big museum, it houses many unique toys that will remind one of childhood and the simpler days. Worth a visit for the nostalgia for locals, and a nice little look at toys of the past in Singapore. Head down for chicken rice balls along the same stretch before or afterwards.

I could spend all day here. A museum in a 5-storey shophouse that packs a punch in terms of the history of toys, and the breadth of the different genres. The collection is well organised and catalogued, and care has been taken to provide background on the cultural context, material, date of production etc. I’ve been there twice so far, and have spent an extended period of time each occasion. The space is cosy and super comfortable, with AR elements throughout the exhibition space that are probably geared more towards younger audiences like my nieces, but i enjoyed it just as much. There are instant crowd-pleasers (such as their Astroboy and Beatles sections), but my current fave is their Dolls of Hope collection. Definitely worth multiple visits.

The museum contains five stairs each has some theam, like a first is about Robots. I joined the tour guide (Wednesday). The tour guide was good but I didn't get mostly, he spoke to fast (but it's my problem that I'm not too good with English), anyway he mentioned some facts about the history, the price of the exhibits (of cours it's not for selling) and answered all the questions of the other visitors. Seems like everyone can find something Nostalgic in this museum

Loved the whole experience. Brought back so many memories of cartoons of my generation. Although I wish there was more but overall a very refreshing visit. We had to change our plans due to the rain so we went a day earlier to try our luck if they would accept our tickets. To our surprise the manager was so helpful and understood our problem and accepted our ticket. Only thing we missed out was on the guided tour which we paid for as well due to date change but since we were the only ones at that time we could complete the whole visit in a more relaxed mode without having to rush or worry about the crowd.

Chanced upon this museum online and I think it’s quite underrated. Brought back lots of memories with characters like little prince, Ultraman, Astro boy, Popeyes and many more, it’s a 5 level exhibit and though it state on the ticket it’s a one hour entry, there wasn’t really any time restrictions, we took about 2 hours to play some childhood games also. Though $25 is a little pricey but I think I enjoyed my time here and there wasn’t much people inside.

Very interesting place with interesting toys and collectibles. Many toys from generations ago so it really feels quite special. And there are some special props. I saw many toys from my U.S. baby boomer youth there (a Green Hornet costumer, a mechanical Charley Weaver Bartender doll, and lots of G.I. Joes), but there's a good display of toys from Asia and Europe, too. And the collection shows not just examples from the 1950s and 1960s, but as far back as the early 19th century and through the 1980s.

  • 4/5 Gibu Koshy B. 1 year ago on Google
I visited on a weekend evening. It has 4 floors of toys. Toys included barbie, tin tin, He Man, GI Joe, Mickey mouse, Popeye, Transformer, Looney toons and Tom&Jerry. It had world war II toys as well. Their were few Japanese toys as well. Old plastic, wooden and cloth toys were also displayed. Every floor had some old game to play as well. Star trek were quite little. Marvel toys were missing. Most toys were from 1900s. Huge old pedal car was amazing. Alice in wonderland cloth doll was beautiful. Overall it was good experience.

  • 5/5 Anand B. 4 years ago on Google
This is a charming little place that you should definitely visit if you're a toy buff. The exhibits are spread across multiple floors with quite a lot of rare and expensive pieces included. The focus however, is more towards first half of this century with a majority of them being Tin toys. The exhibits are well categorized but the museum itself is not too big, so you should be able to comfortably finish all the levels in an hour or two.

  • 5/5 Meng Foo C. 4 years ago on Google
Well designed and really have the collection that span a many years. The history of toys, the poster in steel and enamel, it was just amazing and mind boggling to see. It is a treat for the eyes and the collectors who wants to be reminded of the toys and collectables that have once in their life touched and played. A play full of colors and the architecture is a visual excitement that never fails to awe me.

Not worth the entrance fee in my opinion. Maybe for a collector or toy enthusiast, but there was next to no information given about any of the displays and the cabinets are far over stuffed with toys so where there is information you have no idea what it relates to.

  • 5/5 Matt M. 4 years ago on Google
This museum consists of one man's huge collection of vintage, mostly 20th-century toys, crammed into a narrow five-story building, with a different focus on each of floors 2 through 5--you ride the elevator to the top and work your way down. There's a bar and shop on the ground floor. I particularly loved the "Outer Space" collection on floor 5, with toys themed to familiar science-fiction media and space exploration. (There I found the one item in the collection that I personally owned: a kids' card game from the late 60s called "Space Race.") There are some labels describing the history and provenance of some of the toys, including proud indications of particularly rare and valuable ones. For anyone whose childhood was somewhere from about 1920-1985, this place will hold a powerful kick of nostalgia.
