The MUSEUM and CHAPEL are CLOSED until 2020 or 2021 for refurbishment. !!!!!!! You can't get in, and can't see anything. I couldn't find a way to mark it as closed by edit update. Google - please help other tourists not make the 1 hour journey out to this location pointlessly.

Really cool little museum. A little hard to get to though! Front of staff were very friendly. Make sure you come at a time when the "human"😁 tour guide is doing a tour, it makes it so worth it. Not knowing a lot about Changi and its place in Singapore history, I learnt a lot.

Changi Chapel & Museum are closed for renovation works until 2020. There is currently no forecast for its reopening to the public. If you are already here, you can visit the nearby Changi Village or Changi Jewel.

If you want to understand WW2 stories from the Caucasian angle, you have to visit this place. Full of history. Full of stories of love, tenacity, perseverance and hope. P. S. : Original chapel is within Republic Of Singapore Air Force Changi Airbase West. Block 151.

Very special chapel to visit, tells the story of Changi chapel and camp, the staff were amazing so polite and helpful, we spent a bit over an hour going around the museum. There is a really nice restaurant right next door. Highly recommend going.

A small museum and a chapel, tucked away in a quiet area, that carry painful history. The staff were both kind and professional. Our group was led by a small robot that gave descriptions in each sections of the museum. It's an important institution that reflect the Singaporean and Changi histories.

This was a really special memorial to visit. Interesting and informative displays and the chapel itself is serene. We took the robot guided tour which was great and took 45 minutes. Staff are friendly engaged and informative. We took a Grab to get to and from the Memorial which worked well.

More interactive displays for museum-goers. Engaging for younger visitors as they can use the provided stylus pens to navigate the interactive displays. The panels serve as useful guides on the exhibition focus for different sections. A less cluttered look than before, with focus on selected exhibits and the bulk of the information and images in the interactive displays and videos.

Small but interesting museum. Can be easily reachable using bus. Couple of hours will be enough. All the articles and stuff are related to the world war two experience in Singapore. If you wanna know about the history and how Singapore survive the war you must visit this place. Closes at 5PM. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a small outlet to buy books or souvenirs. There are paid audio tours. I feel really proud when seeing the how Singapore is now after seeing how it was there after the world war.

Robot Guide. Friendly Staff. I felt the old layout and photos left a stronger impression. This new layout starts well but fizzles out quickly towards the end. Still it's free for Singaporeans and has an Instagram worthy chapel in the middle. Souvenirs are quite worth it too.

A deep past that has many different interpretations. Some i talked to argued about life in the past. Some argued about how the prisoners should have been allowed home instead of being captive. Some even argued that some prisoners are innocent nonetheless. But re-visitng this chapel gave a deeper insight. We felt that the chapel and museum was a place of solace and peace. Where some destined to live their lives til death. Acceptance. I shant dwell to much since the places brings forth different views. The place is very well maintained, clean and is really a place to visit. Although it might not be convenient for some, it is worth to visit d past to better understand d present for the future. The venue also has a cafe for those who are hungry. Ohya , its not halal though. Nonetheless, come on and make a walk down the path of history along with ur family. Cheers!! #famwithsten #changichapelandmuseum #changimuseum

Both my two sons and I are very disappointed. We checked the night before from the website that says it is open. Woke up travelled all the way from Jurong Pioneer area to Changi, only to find out that it is closed for renovation. Very badly managed, tourists who travelled all the way there and find it close will leave a very bad impression on the management of the place.

A lovely museum with a replica of the original St George's Changi Chapel. The museum is to remember the many who were interred in Changi during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore between 1942 - 1945. A reminder of the resilience and determination of the thousands imprisoned there during WWII. It honours the memory of the determination of the men, women and children in the face of adversity.

I arrived at the Changi Chapel museum too late for a local guide, but to my surprise, they offered an innovative alternative – a robot guide. This robot took us on an incredible journey through the museum's exhibits, narrating a gripping perspective from a POW's point of view. The immersive experience felt like a captivating walk through history, and the narrative was exceptionally descriptive. I highly recommend this museum, especially for families, as it offers a unique and educational experience that truly brings the past to life.

The bark cafe is located near the changi chapel and museum. The environment was breezy and Green. I enjoyed the food. Since it was my birthday, my friend took me there for lunch. So not sure how is the place in the evening.

While waiting for a friend decided to make a detour and made a pitstop at this chapel. It doesn't have the scale of Killing Fields but for a Singaporean it's rich on history and tells a the tale of the prisoners of war during world war 2 in Singapore. It's really Singapore's heroes during that time. I actually enjoyed the serenity at the chapel.

Tastefully done, great exhibits and a reminder of the horrors of war. Friendly staff on duty who pointed me to the Johore Battery about 1 km away. The roads are a little chaotic right now (and the rain is not helping) but I highly recommend a visit. Go to Changi Village / Beach after you're done, and you can also visit one of the sites of the Sook Ching Massacre (car park 2A).

Went to the newly-revamped Chapel & Museum. Audio guides and more dioramas. Interesting artifacts on loan and gifted to NHB. Wish more POWs would be remembered. My father was w the RAF. Captured at Java, sent back to SG. He was in one of the work parties that were sent abroad. He went to Nakama, Japan to work in the mines. Life was equally miserable. Think it was only in the 1990s that the War Department recognised him & his friends. Their story isn't captured. I will find a way to make that complete. Apart from that, please go for a reflection of what resilience looks like & what power encompasses in brutality and harshness. It happens to every conqueror, including the Japanese. History books do not need to be doctored.

This place is really something you should visit, if you are interested in Singapore's past about Prisoner Of Wars (POW). Its a small area to explore, but loads of interactive and readings inside. Go if you are interested more of how our prisoners were like in the past.

The exhibits provided a nice summary of how life was like during WWII from the perspective of the locals, the Australians and the British. It showcased the innovativeness of the people during the war, and also how art / music played a part in lifting the spirits of the people. A replica of St. Luke's chapel is present with the 5 murals recreated. A wonderful tribute to all those who died fearlessly during the war.
