Been here many times, and the place starts to feel dated as you see most of he same exhibits each time. For first timers, surely this place will excite you and there is lots to learn surely. I hope they would consider renovating the place or think of newer exhibits to replace the old ones.

A great and educational day out for the whole family. It's better to block out a whole day for this visit as there is a lot of content alongside the optional movie and butterfly garden. The Kinetic Garden outside the Science Center deserves it's own special mention at an attraction. Worth a visit for budding kids interested in STEM or even adults who geek out on tech.

Educational and fun public space where young ones can learn science concepts visually while enjoying themselves. We particularly love the Butterfly up-close section (additional ticketing fee required) even though the space was small but packed with variety of butterflies. The maze was fun and easy to navigate. We only wish that the water playground could open a bit longer in the evening because of the scorching sun during late morning and afternoon.

The tickets were very easy to buy and it can be bought online on the same day. The price was pretty reasonable, and worth it because the place is super big and there are many interactive exhibitions that teach kids different aspects of life - from biological content about our bodies, to how natural disasters work. Almost everything is interactive and engaging, while being educational as well. I highly recommend it for family and friends to enjoy. It’s pretty entertaining for young kids and even for teenagers. There’s a lot to see and experience here, which would probably take up only a few hours.

Our visit to the Science Center was quite informative. There are several really interesting features on display including the science behind them. We really enjoyed spending time here and learning about the interesting installations. It’s a huge hit with the kids. A must visit.

5 Star for the kinetic playground outside the center. A lot of science based play structure and very fun and well maintained. Job well done. Kids can have a good time there.

I love love this place. Honestly, its one of the best places for a family to spend time together. But the only disappointing part is they are open only for 3 hours, I wish it was longer because you can barely see much. They have a wonderful water play area for kids, its fun, they follow the general rules of swim suits, no shoes and most importantly adult supervision is required here. The entrance to water play area is through the science center and behind the exhibition area, following the directions inside helps. There are toilets closer to the exit door on the right. Toilets have a shower room, and wall mounted hair dryers too, which to me was very thoughtful and very useful. I hoped they also have small sinks for the kids, but that's okay. We had tickets to IMAX along with the entry, due to which we didn't manage to see the science center in full. I would however not recommend combining the visit. Ideal would be a separate visit to the science center and water play. Although, we did manage to see robot show on the 3rd floor (I may be wrong here), it was truly amazing, totally worth the visit. I wasn't hoping to see anything like that. I loved it and thoroughly enjoyed watching it and so did our 4 year old. I also loved their gift shop, it had an amazing collection of toys , and books to choose from. This place is definitely worth stopping by. We also go to spend 15 dollars from our ticket that we could use here, so that was good. For food, they have two options inside, one is an Indian restaurant that closes early (next to kidsstop) and another cafeteria at the back that serves tea/ coffee/ snacks and lunch. they also had kids meals on their menu. Unfortunately, we were there close to closing time and they didn't have much options and served us what was available. It was good, even if there wasn't much option. Staffs were friendly too. The other option for drinks is the fresh orange juice vending machine at the entrance. Finally, restrooms they were well maintained too. Additionally, they have a nice kids play area outside the building for the public, it was nice and more science oriented fun play area. Must visit place.

Amazing! Just amazing! We were there from 12.30pm until closing. There wasn't enough time to see, read and interact with everything. The children thoroughly enjoyed their time here too. There's a splash park that the children can enjoy at leisure as well. I would love to return again.

Giving this review only for close up butterfly garden as there is no other place to review. Science centre itself is brilliant and I am giving 5 stars. As you can see, plants are dying and dead butterflies are littered all around. Everything is badly maintained. Not worth to pay so much and got this exhibit.

It’s been so long since I have been to science centre and they have updated so many of their exhibits. There is also many new sections added to educate children (and also adults) on technology, urban planning, etc. This is definitely a family-friendly place to be if you are interested to find out more and experience science. This is also a place for children to have fun and also spark their curiosity on science topics!

Very innovative and interesting place to visit. Since I am not into science and stuff so could not like this place too much but still find very interesting things there to try out e.g earthquake, cyclone, tornado etc.. staff is very helpful.. If you are into science and stuff you gonna love this place and can easily spend one day there.

We went there during the pi day and when there are still SMM and capacity limitation. Ticket only allow a half day visit and many exhibits were closed to prevent Covid spread. This make the visit less interesting. Just hoping that all the measures are now lifted and it should not limit to only half a day visit so that children could slowly explore every part of the science centre

Tickets are only available online. You can prepare extra outfit for kids to do outdoor water play. Our 7 years old loved this place, we easily spent 3 hours here. Kids liked the mirror maze, poo poo knowledge and typoon experience the most. There is a small outdoor restaurant where it serves fried chicken and fries or laksa that you can grab for lunch.

I had so much fun at science center. Such an interesting place to visit with plenty of interactive displays in SG, especially at bad weather. The ticket is quite cheap. Omni-theater is cool but the movie is not interesting enough for me. The place closes quite soon, at 5pm

Not a fan of Lego but we love the Wonders of World Lego exhibition... Really amazed by how realistic it looks... The little details are fascinating.... And had fun searching for Eddie 😂 But its tooo dark outside Annex after exhibition ends 8pm 😅 kinda scary.... Would be good if more street lights are turned on. We could hardly see the carpark and road 😔

Well done Science Centre It’s tough for those in the east side to come but glad we did and we must bring water gear to play in the outdoor water playground after! We came on mar school hols

Absolutely best place to take young kids for a day for all ages between 3-10yr. Not giving 5 stars just because they put some chemical perfume at the entrance which I find quite disturbing but apart from that, it’s a great place to spend time with the whole family and interesting for adults too!

The exhibits were excellent! Everyone in our family loved them. Good mix of science and art! Lots of visual arts like photography, illusions, fashion examples. They have a small garden area outside for when the museum closes the kids can still enjoy the outdoor area. If you have kids younger than 7, have them wear their water gear so they can play outside in their water feature!

Love how science centre makes science fun and interesting even for an adult. It picks curiosity and have lots of hands on experiential exhibits that educates. If only science classes in school was this engaging. New discovery is the 2-hectare eco garden outdoor and even had a treehouse. Worth a visit especially for families with children.

Buy tickets online and going in is a breeze. Though expect to wait in line for a while because they only let you in at 2pm sharp for PM session. Remember to check online for the timing and whether need to book timeslot separately or not. Science Centre has been around for some time, so expect to see familiar things, exhibits etc. But there are alot of new exhibitions so I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed myself. In fact, personally would have enjoyed slowly going through the exhibition halls, own time own target instead of having to chase my kids to finish walking through all the halls. Definitely 3 hours is not enough. Earth Alive Exhibition is one of the latest exhibition and worth going! So many interesting things to learn! There is also an earthquake simulator (but of cos don't expect roller coaster ride lah). There is also a Christmas Science Show which is totally worth going with the kids (tickets sold separately on website). Overall, totally enjoyed the visit surprisingly. Another way to spend the SRVs! 😉

Touted as one of the best Science Centre in the world and I believe so after this visit. Some of the exhibits are from my younger days and it brought much memories of yesteryears. The new exhibits are engaging and good fun to play with. If it is enjoyable for adult, it is definitely good enough for the kids. We've got a package which includes Omnitheatre as well. Due to COVID-19, time was restricted to 3 hours only. There was a section on evolution of butterflies, which was pretty interesting. Some of the things had to be rushed through, but we did what we could. Wish the time is slightly longer though.

Wonderful place to take the family and spend a few hours of quality time together. The science center Singapore offers various activities throughout the building. And if you've checked their events. You might be able to catch a show or a short interesting lecture. Required spending time is about 3hours to fully experience everything. They also have a gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs or something interesting.

Visited for the dino quest with kids. Quite disappointing. It's pretty boring and the only thing the kids enjoyed are the colour and project your own dinosaur onto the wall at the end of the hall. Dinosaurs moving on hydraulics look like they are having spasm. Adults and kids have to sit on the floor twice for some animation show. One during the introduction, and one at the 3rd zone. Overall exhibit feels like it's quickly hammered together. On the plus side, it's not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of space to move around. Kids liked the idea of having a torch light and a lanyard with their own ID card of sorts to scan at the various stations. Not worth travelling all the way to the west for if you stay far away.

Very sad at how the science centre turned out. When I was a kid in 1996, the place was full of exhibitions and science projects. Today's visit has many exhibitions closed due to Covid. What's even worse, the current display was only a bunch of info boards. Like you visit a water treatment plant, all you see are history boards on how the water plant started, who inaugurate the place etc. There weren't many things to see or interact with. There was even a section that talks about electricity and the city; how power is being supplied/distributed etc. But when it comes to a touch interactive display, we were asked to guess how many power stations are there in the city. And guess what? The maps resemble nothing like Singapore. Only after the voice recording explained itself that I realized it was talking about Paris. There was even a whole section and videos on Paris and its homeless people. I was wondering, has it come to this point that stories on Singapore couldn't be told or found, that stories reliant on other countries are explained in Singapore's science centres instead? Well, just a sad trip. Go there and see for yourself.

A great place to be for all kids. Plenty to see, learn and experience. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Thank you for putting up 2 signboards near the entrance. I understand they were put up about a month ago. I snapped photos of the 2 signboards - one showing a sitemap ( helped guide me around the place at ease) and the other one showing highlights of activities held at each hall. Today (27 May 2023-Sat) we met lovely 14YO Yeshicaa from India who is on 2 months holiday here.

Went there at Wednesday morning and bought the tickets at the entrance using iPhone. No Apple Pay, need to enter your card information. It will send QR codes to your email. One person per QR code. I was there at 9:57. Not too crowd before 10:40. There are water play areas right next the the entrance. But we didn’t get to play in it since it was raining in the afternoon and they closed the feature. It’s the best science center I ever been. With just regular entrance free, you can play mirror maze, typhoon simulator, earthquake simulator unlimited times. There are shows, one is in the middle of the circle, one is at second floor robots show and fire tornados. We spend 5 dollars extra for the lazer maze. You can play twice per ticket. The laser maze is suitable for 7up. Little kids is kinda waste of money. We encountered couple school field trips. At least 4 tour bus. But it still manageable. Not feeling too crowed. Restroom every where. Water fountain not working. Food court sell some hot foods. Definitely worth to go as a tourist. My 6 and almost 10 year old sons enjoyed it. We stayed there for the whole day. The only downside is that they don’t have physical map. And the digital one is really not a good UI for your iPhone, super hard to find your way. If you bought an adult ticket, there is a 5 dollar shop voucher. Not for using it to buy food or drink.

Abit old, but very informative. I think it is most suitable for visitors from 5 years onwards because there is a lot of information in the exhibits The phobia exhibit is fun but the lift exhibit is not working the mirror maze is also very fun. It is free for Singapore citizens on weekdays. Should book on their website in advance

Very interesting stuff on display. Really regret not being able to have more time to walk around and see all the exhibits. I would suggest to go on a weekday as it was quite empty. There is an escape room within the premises. And the ticket you pay for the escape room once you are done with the session you can free roam the rest of the science centre. Nearby the escape room at the annexe there is a huge T-rex on display as well as a place to eat and have a drink. There are so many exhibits on display I would highly suggest to plan your visit for a full day here. A good place to come alone or with friends! There are so events with specific timings like the huge fire you see in the video I uploaded. Overall great experience and will be back again to have a look around!

Now this is easily one of the best science education hubs I’ve been to in recent years... There are loads of cool exhibitions that enthralled my 7-year old when I brought him there today, including stuff like Earth, Waterworks, 3D Printing, Climate Change, E3, Eco Garden, and The Mind’s Eye. Oh, and not forgetting one section that both me and my son really enjoyed - the funny exhibition on “Know Your Poo”! ?

Definitely for kids. It covers a wide range of science topics, from ecology to engineering to more weird exhibitions like the poo exhibition. There's alot going on, enough to keep kids entertained all day. There's also a water play area up front, so you can bring swimming costumes. As a solo adult I found it was too expensive and I didn't learn anything new, but had a fun time playing around in the exhibitions.

This is a great place especially for kids or even adults which is interested in understanding science in an interactive way. Personally I've been here for 3 hours and I don't think that's even enough for me to explore the entire place! The Tesla show however is cancelled until further notice (guess they were trying to minimise crowding at the area) ... Was really looking forward to that ?. And since there isn't as many shows anymore for now, the closing time is actually at 5pm. Do check the website for more information. Other interactive activities such as the Mirror Maze is still open (with proper precautions done, eg. Minimizing the number of people inside). The one activity whereby it covers human phobias are open as well.

I am so impressed by this Science centre. I planned for staying 1~2 hours here but 3 hours were not enough to explore the whole center. So many interactive exhibits and the robotic show was also great. A must see place for children 10 to 20yrs. Adults would enjoy too. Best way to visualize all d theories learnt in science subjects. Would take around 4 to 5 hrs to go around checking out all d displays. One can also go around in an hour or two if just walking around. It also has a butterfly park inside

Haven't been here since 2010, so I can't really comment too much on the current state of this facility, but looking at the most recent reviews it's cool to see that this place is still popping! There are some amazing exhibitions here, that not only cause young minds to interact with the future, but also think about how to solve problems through the various activities and experiments you gain from admission. My favourites, albeit very simple in nature, is the whirlpool and optic illusion with the fruit bowl (both of these were near the front entrance, although may have been moved since). Whether you come here with family or friends, or with your school, you can be sure it's going to be a fun-filled, insightful time! So..., what are you waiting for!?

A place of science. I visited this place in the winter of 2019. It was a lively place with lots of models, real-time experimental labs, live shows. They have entrance fee. Highly recommended for children. 4-5 hours enough!

  • 5/5 KK 3 years ago on Google
What you learn in schools become alive here. There are many hands on experience on the exhibits. Your 5 senses come alive when you learn here, compared to textbooks leaning which is usually quite flat. Plenty of parking space, though it used to be free. Remember to sanities your hands after touching the exhibits, due to covid.

This is one of the attraction which I never grew tired! I would like to specially mentioned the counter staff who help my family today. The staff is super helpful though my dad forget to make a booking reservation and only purchase the tickets via Klook, she painstakingly help to go to the SCS website and assisted him all the way and get our reservation in for the day so we did not waste our trip! This really make our day! Thanks!

This wasn't our first visit and we were really excited about it. I must say, it was disappointment galore this time round. Most of the exhibits are closed, yet you still have to pay the full price on the ticket. I feel it's seems like scamming unsuspecting parents who are expecting a great day out with the kids during school holidays.

  • 3/5 Lim Jia Yao C. 3 years ago on Google
Alot of exhibits and shows were closed to due safe distancing measures which i cannot fault them for. But the most major frustration that I had with the Science Centre is that for all the exhibits that were still open, almost half of them were not working as intended, or even completely broken. I've been to the science centre countless times in the past, and every trip has been exciting and fun, and this time I brought some kids along to share that experience with them, but when the interactive exhibits kept failing, I could see them start losing interest. I can understand if some exhibits might be damaged due to tampering or unintended usage, but even some exhibits which are totally sealed off (except for a button) also didn't work properly. Science centre really needs to conduct thorough maintenance of all this exhibits in order to preserve the high standards expected of them.

It was quite fun but for a 2 year old, the appropriate experiences might be limited. Also many things were closed because of covid so might not be the right time to go.

  • 5/5 Muhammad F. 2 years ago on Google
Suitable for all ages. Whether young or old, anyone can learn new things from a wide variety of topics from climate change, nuclear energy and geology to jet engines, mechanical inventions and pullies. The Da Vinci Exhibit was also underway, although the ticket to it is a seperate payment. Tickets are also only available online and payments at the shops only accept cashless transactions, mostly due to Covid 19 restrictions. The restrooms and general area is extremely clean and comfortable. When I was there though I did not eat there. The prices did seem a bit overpriced and required vaccinations. Maybe the only downside is that the centre is open from 10 am to 1 pm for the morning session, which honestly felt very short. The afternoon session from 2 pm to 5 pm requires a different ticket. Overall very satisfied, only wished there was more time to check out everything.

Used SG Rediscover Vouchers to take my kid there, but was rather disappointed. The Butterfly section was in a sorry state. I could count the butterflies with two hands and the entire section is uninspiring to say the least. Many of the exhibits were lacking the "wow" factor. We spent more time at the cafeteria which was also a tad over priced.

The Science Centre has a large number of interactive exhibits that can easily keep kids and adults occupied for an afternoon if you're interested in science. Some examples from when I visited last were a series on illusions, a mirror maze, one on phobias, and another on quantum computing. The exhibits change from time to time so repeat visits aren't a bad idea!

The Annex is a large flexible space that will change depending on the exhibit. High ceilings, moveable walls. Quite versatile. A bit sterile/outdated on the outside but the exhibits are always pretty good.

Expected it to be interesting and fun, but the main attraction seems to be perspective illusions. The science part of it doesn't have much in the way of actually interesting science, and it's mostly walls of text. I'd recommend a museum instead

Very impressive lego creations and great write up about the lego creations displayed explaining the design concept. I enjoyed the interactive lego spaces too. Educational and fun for all ages! My uni friends and I had a blast here exploring all of their tinkering eorkshops, exhibits, and activities. Friends and family can definitely spend their whole afternoon here. We find that 3 hours still isn't enough! The entrance has many optical illusions which they helpfully explain. You can take many silly photos here and learn these visual phenomenons. Their tinkering workshop lets you build your own graphic cubes, hot air balloons, and marble pathways which is so interesting! They supervise your glue gun and drill usage so it is very safe. Their phobia exhibit is short but fun. I especially like their scream booth and their clowns! Their mirror maze is a must-see! Fun to get lost inside for the kids. They also have a poop exhibition, cryogenics (must pay), climate change, electricity, and many more. I think their dialogue with time is also very fun to accept ageing and raise awareness. Ageism is real in Singapore! Their biology segment could use some work. No one was there cause it was all boring infographics and no actual interactive activities! Their VR segment was cool but it was meh compared to other exhibits. Some machines and activities are not working which is a bit of a pity too! Outside, their kinetic garden is very pretty and you can produce musical notes with just some pipes and a slipper 😜. Definitely come here on a weekday for FREE entry, or during the weekends since its so cheap anyways!

Is bigger than I thought! Not enough to cover in 2 hour if you really do all the activities. $6 for adult and $4 for child is definitely very value for money. There are various show at different timing. Open carpark outside can get hot and troublesome if rain. There is stroller for rent at $6 or free for member. There is a small eateries that sell local food like mee siam, macaroni coffee and sandwich for quick bite. Another proper restaurant call stellar kitchen outside at main entrance.
