"ONCE IS NEVER ENOUGH" - well said. when we visited sky line luge sentosa it was very cloudy and it was cold, the apt climate for a luge .it was 4 rounds exactly. the instructors were polite and friendly. to my thought luge is a bit over priced. And charging a heavy amount for a photograph is a bit odd , but never mind just enjoy the ride and move. There will be a bit crowd. you need to wait on queues to get on to skyline. once u get on top u will be free to go. the view above will be breath taking .

This place is a necessity to learn about heritage in our multiracial country. Great display and easily digestible information for general public. Will be great if there's areas with more academic literatures for people to learn more. Really thoughtful too with pop up art activities for kids. If you are visiting this place before 24 March 2022, do loop by the Clive street next to the building as there's a public exhibition too on Rangoli arts, more interactive areas for kids!

A nice and interesting place to browse through to learn about the history of Indians in Singapore. Found the displayed items interesting and well curated. Off greater interest is the 10 minute film in the theater. This film was well shot, edited, informative and professionally done. The place is nice, tidy and well air-conditioned. The staff are all friendly. Definitely worth a visit. Please note that the Centre is closed on Monday.

One of several ethnic-focused cultural exhibitions in Singapore and arguably the best. The upper level (4th floor) is museum-like and full of historical treasures, while the lower level display traditional costumes and artifacts of Singaporean South Asian pioneers, and ends with a section on Singaporean Indian pioneers. Highlight is also the staircase that connects the upper and lower levels. Part of the stepwell-inspired glass façade, there are aerial views of the surrounding district, especially Campbell Lane, to be enjoyed. I also love the architecture and design of the facade of this building.

The Indian Heritage Centre in Little India, Singapore, is an enchanting tribute to the vibrant and diverse culture of the Indian diaspora. From the moment you step through its ornate entrance, you are transported to a world filled with history, tradition, and the rich tapestry of Indian heritage. The architecture itself is a work of art, combining traditional and contemporary elements to create a building that's both visually stunning and culturally symbolic. Inside, the center's galleries are a treasure trove of artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays that provide a deep insight into India's history and its influence in Singapore. One of the highlights is the engaging "Journey of a People" exhibition, which takes visitors through the evolution of the Indian community in Singapore. The stories of early Indian immigrants and their contributions to the nation are beautifully presented, making history come alive. The use of modern technology, like touchscreens and audio guides, enhances the learning experience. The Indian Heritage Centre is more than just a museum; it's a living connection to the roots of the Indian community in Singapore. The vibrant cultural events, workshops, and performances hosted here showcase the ongoing relevance of Indian traditions and arts. Whether you're of Indian heritage or simply curious about this incredible culture, a visit to this center is an immersive and enriching experience. Don't miss the opportunity to explore this gem in the heart of Little India.

A gem of a find in the heart of Little India, showing the hard work by our Indian pioneers and their culture. Came by this museum and was really impressed to find a well curated museum showcasing the Indian culture, the history, the arts, the traditions and most importantly the pioneers who have contributed to Singapore. The museum had very intricate art work and statues on display. The display which touched on my heart strings was definitely the Indian pioneers of Singapore. The love and thought put into this museum was very much evident. I would definitely come visit again.

Great little place to take a pause after you walked through the markets and shops at Little India and, most importantly, learn more about the history of Indian community in Singapore as well as the interactions between South and Southeast Asia with 5 permanent galleries expanding through 4 floors. I especially loved a short movie about the main historic highlights about region and diaspora. Admission fee is 8 for Non-Sporeans and PRs, but you can get in free of charge during Diwali celebrations and enjoy numerous performances and craft-fairs on top.

Little India is a vibrant cultural enclave with temples and mosques, street art and brightly painted shophouses. Along the main drag, Serangoon Road, unfussy canteens and hip eateries sit next to shops selling gold jewelry, colourful silks and fresh flower garlands. Nearby, Mustafa Centre welcomes shoppers 24/7. The ethnic district is liveliest during Hindu celebrations like the Deepavali festival of lights

This year marks 200 years of the Tamils in Singapore. However, Tamil connections with Singapore can be traced as far back as the 11th–13th centuries CE based on recent interpretations of the Singapore Stone. From the Coromandel Coast to the Straits: Revisiting Our Tamil Heritage presents a compendium of narratives that recount the experiences of Tamil diasporas in Southeast Asia and Singapore from pre-modern to contemporary times. Among the South Asian languages, Tamil is perhaps the only example of a very ancient language that still survives as the mother tongue of millions of speakers in south India, Sri Lanka, and of diasporas in many parts of the world. Singapore’s Tamil community is distinct as they have adapted and integrated with local cultures. Primarily born out of the colonial enterprise, the Tamil community is today a vibrant part of Singapore’s multi-ethnic fabric. This exhibition is presented in two parts: part one enumerates the odyssey of pre-modern Tamil diasporas in Southeast Asia while part two offers glimpses of lesser known 19th century pioneers and some of the oldest Tamil families in Singapore. Bringing together collections from around the world and treasured possessions from the community, this exhibition seeks to present an uninterrupted history of Tamils in Singapore. It also includes digital showcases featuring holograms of artefacts in the collections of other museums and institutions Craft objects are a reflection of the society that produced it. Traditionally made as objects of everyday utility, Indian art and craft objects display the influence of historical, geographical and socio-cultural factors. The range of Indian crafting traditions is astounding due to the prolific plurality of the sub-continent’s regional and sub-regional communities. The earliest appearance of scripts and symbols in hand-crafted objects occurred around 5000 years ago in the Indian Subcontinent. Motifs, patterns and symbols embody the culture of the people, acting as a repository of tradition and practice. Composition, form, and aesthetics are combined to express more than sheer beauty by craft artisans, bestowing the objects with deeper meaning and cultural significance. Such craft objects and textiles also attained symbolic value, and were made for use during festive occasions and life cycle rituals. Language remains an important marker of internal diversity among Indian communities. Hand crafted objects and textiles were designed with the influence of such scripting traditions, pointing to regional influences on craft. The Indian Heritage Centre's Symbols and Scripts - The Language of Craft exhibition seeks to showcase the rich and diverse material heritage of the manifold Indian communities. It emphasises the use of symbolism and scripts in craft objects and interprets such symbols and scripts both in the Indian tradition as well as in the Singapore Indian context.

Again a must visit place in Little India. Tells you lot about the influence of Indian heritage in the south east Asian countries. It's only 6 dollars. If you reach Singapore before May9th 2019, you can find a floor dedicated to explaining the connection between chettiars and how they settled in Malaysia and how they travelled from Malaysia to Singapore and transfused with the culture. Do take a guided tour. It's free and useful. One more thing I liked was, the displays were placed in such an artistic way and they looked stunning. The colour combination, the placement of objects and the cleanliness all were excellent.

My email inquiries were answered promptly. I was advised to purchase the tickets on the official website, not a third party that offered fast track. Night luge was enjoyable - skyride at night can be a bit scary at first, but weather is cooler and the lighting makes it all the more fun. It was a rainy evening, and the staffs were quick to wipe the luge prior to riding. Quite an enjoyable family outing!

Poor management. It was raining and we waited for an hour. After that wait they said they will not be opening any time soon so they ask us to go get our tickets to be booked on another day. We walk around sentosa and the rain didnt came back so we went back to try luge cause we dont have the luxury of coming back on another day. Said no cause we already book another date when they just open again. Inflexibility. Management should get fired

The crowd control was really bad. Was there on 28 December. Given it is peak period, I don't know why Skyline didn't open the second chairlift, leading to huge crowds waiting for the lift and their Luge ride at the top. Bring your own helmet as they ran out of helmets at one point and some had to wait for replenishment (although you will need the helmet if you want to find your photos later). Also, helmets didnt look like they were sanitised. Crowd control and social distancing was non existent. The actual Luge rides took about 1 minuite but the queue to get back to the top took about 45 mins. We booked the morning session (11 am) but didn't finish our 4 rides till 2 pm due to the queues.

My wife convinced me to come inside and check out the Indian Heritage centre but it was me who took the longest to get through the museum. This is a first class museum experience with interactive exhibits documenting Indian Heritage in Singapore with displays of interesting photographs, artifacts and installations. The exhibitions showcase the rich cultural influence Indian culture has brought to Singapore over the last few centuries in an interesting and thought provoking way. Well worth a visit - free for residents and PR, we paid $8 each for adults as EP holders and children were free. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Recommended!

Chanced upon this beautiful modern building amidst the shophouses in Little India. Admission is free of charge for Singaporeans. L3 and L4 have displays related to Indian Heritage in Singapore. L2 is the activity area. Nice aircon in the blazing afternoon sun. Exhibits can be more interesting, and the lighting can be brighter. Otherwise the sleepy and cool atmosphere doesn't help to keep visitors awake to appreciate the exhibits more.

It's a beautiful place to learn about the Indian culture and migration history in relationship to Singapore, but one thing they should really improve is the exhibit layout. Most, if not all texts for the artifacts are right at your knees in tiny font, I can barely read it without having to bend over, and by the time I'm halfway through the 1st floor I'm already nauseous. Make it eye level next time.

The Indian Heritage Centre has permanent galleries and special exhibitions. Standing at 5 Campbell Lane, the architecture immediately draws one in. It is conveniently located near bus stops and train stations, so accessibility is not a problem. It is open to citizens and permanent residents for free, and for a nominal fee for other categories. It gives a quick overview of contact between Singapore and the Indian subcontinent over the past centuries. In addition to an auditorium, there are texts, audio clips and video clips, depicting the experiences of the Indian community in both Singapore and Malaya. Several historical artifacts show the cultural influences in the SE Asian region (for example mythological figures). Bright and colourful fabrics give a glimpse of Indian social lives. Special mention is also made of the colonial period and the contributions of the South Asian communities to Singapore in post WWII decades. I definitely recommend about a couple of hours at this fascinating place.

6 sin dollars for a nice museum. Not big, not a lot of things and many documents are hard copies. But the atmosphere and the presentation of everything is awesome. Very nice museum.

The thrill of zooming down the slope is awesome. It brings out the child in you. It will be nicer is if distance is longer. Zooming down the slopes and merrily go round on the "hanging sky benches" is a good mix. As the weather is warm and humid, morning rides and evening rides are are ideal. But be prepared for queue. Well now is the "Covid-19 season", and there isn't any tourist so it may not an issue for now. 😅

  • 5/5 General T. 3 years ago on Google
The queue here is short and that the staff service was excellent. It was an amazing ride down the hill in the luge and that it is very fun to compete with family and friends who reached the bottom point the fastest. It was quit fun but a little pricey. The skyline is a bit scary but do not worry it is 100% safe. Overall a great experience.

  • 5/5 Evan S. 3 years ago on Google
Great fun with the kids! The queues were fairly short - went right as school started - and the weather was cloudy. You have four routes to choose from. I only tried the Dragon trail which was the longest. The best part about the experience is actually the slow ride up the gondola.

  • 5/5 Katherine W. 3 years ago on Google
The staff were friendly and helpful. The rides were really fun, we took the rides twice. During our first time taking the skyline, water kept dripping from the top metal bar, we do not know where does the water comes from. My helmet and blouse were wet. Overall, we did have fun..

  • 3/5 Kok Ann A. 3 years ago on Google
My kids had a fun time with both taking the Skyride and riding down the tracks. However, the distance is short and no one explain the different routes. The only big issue I feel is the charges of the Photos - One have to order a print out @$14 then can have a soft copy @$5. And there is no option to just get the soft copy (this is practically day light robbery).

Pretty overpriced at an average of $8-10 per round trip. But great if you have your rediscover vouchers to spend. Would probably wait another 3-5 years to sit on it again. Just for the view I guess.

  • 5/5 Sam Y. 3 years ago on Google
Used my Singapore Rediscover voucher to pay for the fee. Good place to bond with family.

I LOVE IT!!! Just a reminder, avoid peak season, I waited almost 2 hours before my first ride, and most importantly, do check weather forecast.

Was quite quiet on a Saturday. And I think the staff looked quite bored too. I would prefer the skyride over the luge. Reason being, the luge ride is quite short. Whereas for the skyride, you will be able to see nice view.

  • 5/5 Sukhmani S. 3 years ago on Google

Truly amazing experience! Went when its not too crowdy. So didnt need to wait for a long. Purchased tickets from the website. Late afternoon or morning is the best time to avoid heat. Skylift and Luge both are awesome. Must try with kids. They will enjoy for sure.

Karts and track are well maintained but the queue can be long and messy during peak periods.. It rained whe queuing and the staff didn't bother to brief or uodate the people waiting what was going to happen. Eventually after 50 minutes of waiting they just dispersed the crowd.

This is a hidden gem. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Indian Heritage Centre. There's free admission for Singaporeans and PRs. The exhibits are interesting and some of them are interactive. We got a souvenir too: we made our own badge and put stamps on a cloth bag.

A little gem in Little India to learn about the Indian culture and history. The special exhibition on Sikhs was an eye opener as well. A reason to visit because its free for locals and PRs. A good way to understand more about our multicultural society.

Always enjoy the contemporary facade and design of the heritage centre. The exhibits are great too, telling stories of how the indian community was formed in Singapore. I particularly like the 6m tall door, hand carved with elaborate designs

Very informative heritage galleries, much larger than we expected. The special exhibition on the history of Sikhs in Singapore, and the current cultural festivals celebrated, is fascinating - it has been extended until mid Jan 2022. There are guided tours run by very knowledgeable volunteers.

It's time for Indian Heritage Centre in Little India. What a beautiful Museum that tell beautiful stories of the Indian migration and settlement communities in Singapore 🇸🇬 There are quite a few floors to check out. You can leave your bag in a locker when you buy the tickets 🎟

I and my child (5 years) were here for the first as part of the Children's Season 2023. As we entered, Ms. Joyce was extremely helpful and guided us through the "Naturi," the enchantjng forest set up for kids to experience different sounds from the tropical forests. My child had so much fun trying out the different t activity stations set up. After this, we got back to the Children's Season activity, a craft station was set up which is building a mini marble run (an adults assistance is needed for small children), and we also made a lion mask. The stamp for the Children's passport is at the reception. All the facilities were well set up in advance and all the staff were extremely friendly and happy to help. Would love to visit again as the Children's activity keeps changing and there is always something new to try.

Amazing insights into how the first Indian settlers and pioneer generations of Indian immigrants came into Singapore. How they brought along their culture, history and heritage and how they contributed to modern and prosperous development of Singapore and for Singapore to become a multi racial and multi religious society.
