Great museum. Large display of classic aircraft (outdoor and indoor), like A4, Huey, Alouette, trainer jets etc. Very impressive exhibition of Singapore Air Force historical artifact (like control panels, cockpits). Interactive museum gallery. Souvenirs shop. Free admission, professional museum staff. Excellent.

This is a museum of the Singapore Air Force that you can visit without having to do anything. Although it is small, I would like to see the Japan Self-Defense Force's Hamamatsu Air Park. It's better to come by bus or shared cycle as the bus stop is right in front of you. You can walk from the MRT station, but it will be too hot. The museum is only open from Tuesday to Saturday. Closed on Sundays, Mondays, and public holidays. In the past, you could come and go for free, but perhaps because the security level has increased, now you are asked to enter your name and nationality when entering. You don't need a passport, but it's a good idea to have one just in case. Since it is a military facility, there are also soldiers and police officers guarding it. It is adjacent to Paya Lebar Air Base and you can also enjoy the roar of F15s (you will be arrested if you take pictures of Paya Lebar Air Base or F15s).

5 stars because it's free to enter and has a good range of aircrafts relics from when the Singapore Air Force started. It is especially fun for the kids too, to get an close upfront view of aircrafts. For adults who are interested in more modern aviation gadgets, you will most likely be disappointed as there's no life size F16, F15 or even F35 here! The most modern display is the decommissioned F5. The second level displays are also really engaging and fun, especially the interactive screen right when you enter the indoor gallery. However, I though they could provide some small stools for small kids to stand on as it's hard for them to enjoy too. The small mini shop is definitely 5* though, it has good collection of airplanes and toys ranging from a dollar to more expensive ones too!

Apparently the museum has been around for 20 years. Cool place to see the relics of the Singapore Air Force. Probably seeing some renewed interest due to a recent movie featuring fighter jets and a certain popular male lead. The museum's feature video is very similar to the movie, according to the serviceman 😂

The 2nd floor interactive gallery is pretty rundown. Be careful as some gadgets are broken n sharp. Other than that, it's an interesting place for those who love these kinda things. The gift shop is a small place. But has a variety of items. Look out for the short film timings n plan around it. Give urslf abt 1-2hrs for this museum

The Singapore Air Force Museum is located in Payalebar. On display are various historical photos, various types of fighter planes and helicopters. There is also an air force shop if you want to buy souvenirs.

If you’re a military or aviation geek like I am, I definitely recommend this museum. Unfortunately the second floor was closed due to maintenance but I’m still very happy to have seen the planes. I’m originally from Venezuela, and my country used to operate F5 tigers but I haven’t had the opportunity to see one in real life. I’ve had the privilege of seeing one here and can tick that off my bucket list! There were several other beautiful planes, drones, and helicopters as well. I think there’s an airfield behind the museum as I saw an Apache, a few F15s and a C130 fly above it. Thank you Singapore for such a beautiful museum, I enjoyed it very much.

Firmly recommended for anyone with even a passing interest in aviation. It's a small (but free!) museum and is pitched at both children and adults. Particular highlights for me were the Hawker Hunters (plus ejection seat) and the story detailing how the RSAF went from a few civilian propeller aircraft to the full-spectrum airforce it is today. Plus with it being next to a working airbase you sometimes get jets roaring overhead, most exciting.

Excellent place to be. Unfortunately it is still closed after 2 years but I have been to this place since young. The museum rocks and I hope to be able to enter the museum soon!

Fantastic experience. A very well maintained museum with some decent static display aircraft. Also has a small theatre that tells of the Singapore Air Force. 2nd floor has displays of the different squadrons and missions. If you have a hour or two to spare well worth the visit. No cost to enter has a gift shop that sells water also. Glad I went.

The museum has a small collection of aircraft but that does not take away the fact that it has quality gems on display such as their A4 Skyhawks and an E-2C. The aircraft are beautifully presented and speaking to a staff member they actively maintain them as best they can given the climate for that part of the world. Will definitely go back. Not many staff around but when seen they are very welcoming and pleased to see you. Added bonus, it is free!

Air historic place, remembering the good olden air power crafts. They organize a visual to engage audience about Singapore air force. There are sections with interactive screens to get to know the various supersonic aircrafts and flying machines. Lot of aircrafts/helicopters of past for us to see and get amused about its capabilities and their used artilleries/gun power. We get to see/feel the life size crafts. Good informative place for kids. Pickup weekdays or Saturday (they close 4PM).

While the plane exhibits were nice, upkeep of the place was sorely lacking. More could be done to make it a better experience. The planes were in bad condition, with overgrown vegetation. Exhibits were not maintained well.

Awesome museum to learn about military air crafts and the RSAF through their very interactive displays. There’s even a flight simulator. There is an open gallery with aircraft displays and a couple of very interesting galleries spanning across 3 floors. There’s a gift shop too. Free parking.

This museum is an awesome place to visit with your family! Kids will love exploring the vast collection of fighter jets, seaplanes, and drones. With its size, you can easily spend 4-5 hours here as children can wander around and discover planes from World War I to modern times. To keep the little ones entertained, there are also interactive games and a small playground available.

8 September 2023 Really amazing planes they got there. Went there for their Open House and had a great time over there. The place was crowded but spacious and had the opportunity to see the aircraft in action. The price of food there was quite pricey. Would definitely recommend people to go for their Open House as it is really entertaining and fun.

Great place for avgeeks. Loved the Hunter and A-4 aircrafts. The souvenir shop was great as well. Picked up quite many patches and mugs of the f35/f16/f15 of RSAF.

The first stop in our Singapore trip. Took the double-decker bus 90 to get here. Best place to visit with a child who knows his planes, helicopters and missiles as much as his alphabet and numbers. We were both very impressed with RSAF. 😍🛩️ The place is airy, clean, and tidy. Toilet floors are clean and dry as well. Water fountains are available and there are hand sanitizers in almost every corner of each floor. Oh, and entrance is free. 😊

The museum is remote, hard to reach, small and the collection is rather limited (could easily be 3-4 times bigger. Also the boutique only accepts cash while the whole society has largely become cashless… does not make sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

This smallish museum is free to enter and includes a few different aircraft mostly under cover. There are also a few floors of exhibits including interactive exhibits here which are very strongly air conditioned. This is a reasonable location to visit on a wet day if you have an umbrella to get to the main museum. Expect to spend a bit less than an hour here

Small but interesting collection very nicely in presented. The TA-4SU Super Skyhawk is worth the visit itself for Skyhawk enthusiasts, there are several other Skyhawks and a forward fuselage section of another TA-4SU. Other aircraft exhibits include Hawker Hunters, a Shooting Star, a couple of Huey's, an Allouette, drones/UAVs and an E2 Hawkeye. There's a n interesting indoor gallery about the RSAF. Friendly staff and free entry, easily accessible by public transport, the 94 bus stops right outside. Excellent, 5*.

RSAF55 Open House 9 & 10th September 2023 Shuttle bus provided from Hougang & Tai Seng to Air base. Gaining lots of experiences on RSAF from the open house, expect many long queues from the carnival. Food trucks are around and many water dispensers, remember to bring your bottles as no cups provided.

Not a crazy selection of planes but if you are close by 100% worth stopping in to check out. Some stuff you won't see elsewhere and the retired airforce guys are great to talk to. It's free and really quiet most of the time it seems. Can hear jets taking off in the background if your lucky which is cool.

(Translated by Google) Although it is not a large-scale translation like the Smithsonian, it was displayed so that the induction part and the warhead part of the infrared missile (probably aim-9) could be seen, and the cockpit (instruments etc.) of the fighter aircraft could be seen The glass is cloudy, and there are reflections of sunlight depending on the time of day. If you like military, you can enjoy it. Been to this avionic museum for the second time, and many things have changed, yet its remains untouched and unseen. Went with a small kids, and it was fascinating. The exhibits were very interactive; you could touch every component of the planes and helicopters. The interaction was smooth, with no one to disturb you. You could just be on your own. Hopefully, in the future, more decommissioned equipment will be added, and I'm looking forward to experiencing it again. It's a must-visit Museum.

Great musuem for military aviation and RSAF history. However it lacks of facilities that would certainly make the place more interesting. Museum is filled with static aircraft which served RSAF in the past such as the E-2C Hawkeye AWACS and Fighter aircraft such as the A4-S Skyhawk and Hawker Hunter. Only worth visiting if you have a car or is nearby as it may be difficult to get in by public transportation as waiting times for buses can be quite long.

  • 5/5 Ahmad Akram Mohamed I. 5 years ago on Google
Great place to spend time with your family. Kids will love it because of the exhibits outdoor. Going there by public transport can be a little challenging. There two buses going to the museum (Service 90 and 94) there only one service during Sundays (Service 90). Huge carpark with parking is free ( based on my visit). Admission to the Museum is free but need register your admission with the reception. Indoor exhibits consist of two levels. If you are lucky you can catch the 10mins video screen about RSAF on level 1.

  • 3/5 Cherie L. 5 years ago on Google
Interesting museum that provides the history of the Singapore aviation. Opportunity to get up close with the old planes on display at the outdoor museum and an air-conditioned display of past aviation artefacts at level 2.

  • 3/5 CR Y. 4 years ago on Google
Not somewhere you would visit unless you have young children who are thrilled to see real fighter jets and helicopters. The outdoor gallery with these real size planes are great although much more can be done to spruce up the place. Some indoor gallery displays and interactive panels were dated, broken or just tired looking.

Do you want somewhere not crowded? And/or your kid like air force stuff? This is the place for! Some more it's free! Do not set your expectation so high then you might be able to enjoy whatever there. For parents, if you do some study about air plane before go down, you can easily spend 2 hours with your kid. Take a look every single piece of air plane and talk about it. I recommend to take a look half of ground stuffs then go to theater at o'clock then 2nd story (enjoy some cool air) after that finish rest of ground stuffs.

The Air Force Museum is a physical embodiment of the history, heritage, and values of the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Since its inception at Changi Air Base on 1 September 1988, the museum has come a long way. Today, it stands in a compound next to Paya Lebar Air Base and creatively combines original artefacts with interactive media. The museum provides an engaging hands-on experience that breathes new life into the RSAF story for all ages.

One must go to places in Singapore if you are an aviation enthusiast. Many displays of older fighter jets that you can go up to and TOUCH(yes no barriers but advise not to touch). Many interactive exhibits in the museum even though it’s small. There are nice outdoor exhibits too with even more planes and helicopters and a big Early Warning aircraft (The one with the circle on top). If you are lucky, you may even see a big plane cross the road at there is a taxiway form payla leabar Air Force base time the ST engerning hangers. The best part is, it’s FREE!!!

The Singapore Air Force Museum do not have any enterence fee for locals or tourist. It is not a major museum in Singapore, and not popular by tourist. They displayed lot of aircrafts here, but not very educational. The museum itself is spacious, with lot of different aircrafts exhibited here. And they have a tiny cinema as the introduction of Singapore Air Force. Not much interactive exhibitions here. But as here is far from city, it's a good place for kids to play around

Pretty quiet museum. Walked through the entire exhibition (on the second floor) and there was not a single person. The exhibits are really nicely designed and have a lot of interactive functions, great for kids. They offer a lot of information about the air force and allow people to understand how it operates, as well as its history. They exhibit a lot of old planes that the RSAF used to operate. It would be nice to see an F-15 or F-16 displayed there. Would be nice to be able to have a working flying simulator here.
