Located at Level 2.. any Food and Drinks are Forbidden. Closed on Mondays. If u are keen with Maritime development in SG, this is for u. Carpark avail, but limited lots and not cheap. Washroom is available onsite. Nearest mrt station is Marina South Pier. No tickets needed.

Awesome museum located in a remote part of Singapore. It has interesting exhibits and also interactive games to understand maritime history in Singapore. Worth your time to spend 2 to 3 hours at this museum!

Fun and educational. The ship simulator is the most fun experience since it allowed kids to role-play. Unfortunately, the playground was closed when we went.

Singaporeans have free entry to this well curated gallery. It has a very good view of the pier and you can get to know Singapore’s Maritime history and it also has a good display of the various ships through the centuries. I like that there is a display which gives us an insight into the future of shipping plus how shipping works to be greener and be better for the environment There is also a children’s activity corner and the whole gallery caters to everyone of all ages.

Educational place to visit if you have the passion for maritime. Limited displays but informative enough for general knowledge of ships and maritime history of S'pore. They have the simulation of boats sailing, you can try to sail a boat which is kind of cool. The are various types of ship model displays and lighthouses. Other than that you will find it quite boring unless you're reading all the articles displayed to get a better sense of what the maritime is about.

Very informative gallery about the history and development of trade and marine engineering in Singapore. Introduces and very well impinges into one's mind the subject through diverse interactive resources. Fun place for children learn and to be amazed. It also hosts a small library featuring few useful books related to the subject matter.

If you're interested in maritime industry, this gallery is the perfect place to you. You can learn about the history of Singapore Maritime Industry from the very first beginning. It has the simulation game that you could try to run the ship and complete mission. I spent at least 1 hours stuck on that machine. Hope you enjoy too!!!

(Translated by Google) Marine Museum on the second floor of Marina South Pier. Admission is free but inconspicuous, so customers are sparse despite Sundays. Learn tanker models, simulators, and the importance of the sea. (Original) マリーナ・サウス・ピアの2階にある海洋博物館。入場料は無料だがまったく目立たないので、日曜にもかかわらず客はまばら。タンカーの模型やシミュレーター、海の重要性などが学べます。

Free entry! This museum provides a brief history of Singapore's status as a bustling entrepôt trading port before Sir Stamford Raffles converted it into the busiest shipping port in the British Empire. The story continues in the 1960s with Singapore's independence and LKY's shrewd and far-sighted plans to ensure it remained a competitive and technologically advanced trade hub. This relatively small museum charts all aspects of shipping and maritime logistics. Unfortunately the ship simulator was not working when I visited but there was a nice kids area and plenty to see and do.

My first time to this Gallery and I was blown away. There are so much information here about our past, present and future of the Maritime world, our trading routes and Singapore as a major Seaport/Hub. Are you aware that all our ports will merge as one big port at Tuas? Works are underway to complete this Mega project by 2040. The guide Ms. Pamela was really professional and the whole place was super interactive!

It is located on level 2 of Marina South Pier, near the MRT station. I think it is an excellent place to acknowledge Singapore's maritime history and contribute to the environment while developing. I spent around half an hour in it while there wasn’t crowded even during Saturday.

Interesting if you enjoy the history of the shipping industry but otherwise it's really just a single big room. I liked the old one better. The best thing there was the Cargo Dash game that you can play with your friends. Second best thing was the view of the harbour. Overall just visit it if you have an afternoon to waste. The deck upstairs is extremely hot in the afternoon and the only saving grace was the sea breeze.

Very clean and clear musuem. Lets you experience singapore as a port and why its still important. Day tour easily managed. Go take the ferries to the islands in the morning. Then come back by evening thereafter just head to the gallery.

Quiet (and free admission!) place to bring the kids to. Unfortunately, the kids corner ship game and the rooftop playground are both closed for maintenance currently. Sea Show art exhibit has also ended.

This recently-renovated gallery was so much fun to visit! It is located directly above the ferry terminal and is free (and has aircon), so it’s a great place to burn some time if waiting for the ferry. I would also recommend just going to visit, as I believe you really get the full picture of Singapore’s past through looking at their maritime history. Also, the simulator is SUPER cool.

(Translated by Google) I was able to learn about the history of Singapore's shipping, but what I didn't know was that I knew the location information of tankers passing through Singapore and that there was a control center. It was a pity that the simulator could not be done due to the influence of Corona. (Original) シンガポールの海運の歴史を知る事ができたが、知らなかった事は、シンガポールを通過するタンカーなどの位置情報を把握していたり、管制センターがあった事。シミュレーターはコロナの影響でやる事ができなかったのが残念だった。

Excellent learning platform for general public! However its outreach should be further improved and its potential could be further examined, especially the seafront location, its roof top and maritime ecosystem.

Great history of Singapore’s growth as a maritime port. We particularly enjoyed the interactive ship steering trainer. The charts and video were an accurate depiction of Singapore’s southern coastline that you can navigate either a huge container ship or a small boat by day or night in different weather conditions. Very inspiring to my teenage daughter too

Awesome gallery showcasing Singapore's rich maritime history - Past, Present and Future! With fun events and activities about maritime being organized every now and then! My favourite is the Sampan Girl Smiles Photo Exhibition held in December 2018. A series of black and white photographs taken by David Waters, a Royal Navy officer in the 1930s, it showcases traditional sailing junks and historical ports in Southeast Asia, including Singapore! And the activities in the Changing Gallery during the recent MPA 25th anniversary celebrations is also remarkable! Looking out for more!

A bit of a hidden gem for me as I've taken the island ferry many times but never saw what was upstairs in this pier building. The gallery has history of Singapore settlement, artefacts and a great display of model ships. You can even use the simulator to imagine you're on the bridge of a huge ship.

(Translated by Google) Singapore is a key point of maritime trade, and from the geographical point of view it is clear that Singapore now exists. Rikuan Yu also positioned the shipping industry as an important industrial field in the founding of Singapore, and can realize the background behind making such a country like that. But it is unavoidable that places are not terribly popular only in places. It is interesting to introduce not only general exhibitions but also marine vessel simulators and systems specific to Singapore (for example, adoption of mass flow meter during oil supply).
