👍 Good place for camera lover and photographers. A lot of old and interesting cameras. However the ticket price should be lower. People often mention cameras, camera, museum, history, visit, photography, collection, interesting, great, vintage,

A beautiful Vintage Camera Museum just near Bugis area. It's walkable distance from BUGIS JUNCTION. It's better to call up and book the appointment prior to visit. There is no washroom inside the museum. The owner is friendly , he likes to suggest poses for photo taking and provides with props as well. He guides well. We took some lovely photographs inside but could not take any outside as it was raining The entrance of the museum is like you are walking inside the camera lense. The museum is just two room museum not a huge one but it's worth visiting. Owner's young son is very cute ,he attended to us and spoke to us in a professional manner. We will visit again to take photographs outside which we could not take today due to rain.

What a great experience. I would recommend visiting with the whole family. The owner is so kind and really enjoys the history and evolution of the camera over the years. You will find extremely unique cameras and learn a bit about the pop culture relevant to the times. I cannot recommend enough.

It show cases alot of different types of camera since the early days. The owner would show you video of how camera all started. And you may see that the 3 lenses phone camera we used today had already been recreated and used in the camera and video in e past. Which recreated and incorporated to our Daily used phone

It’s a tiny museum—— we spent around 30 mins here You will get a self-guided book, if you’re not super interested to camera I won’t recommend this place. The entrance of the museum is quite good for an Instagram photo.

The museum is like a big room with all the different cameras through the years. The history on how it was developed was very educating. You can take photos and even hold some of the camera relics. This is great for photography enthusiasts. It could be developed more by adding more exhibits of old photos and probably have a souvenir shop. As a photographer, I personally enjoyed my visit here :)

Small little museum and I would consider this a hidden find. Never knew there is a camera museum in Singapore. The person must have spent a bomb on the collections. Vintage and every milestone in photography, definitely an eye-opener. The tour was a good one, carried out by a photography enthusiast - brief and simple, what amazed me was the collection that is on display. Surprisingly spent longer than intended as we took a walk through history of photography in a small little space.

It was a great breather away from the hustle and bustle, and heat on the streets. We spent around 2 hours in the museum learning about vintage cameras with a very friendly guide and his son. It was fun, educational and entertaining, we had an awesome time hanging out with them. You will also get the chance to have a hands-on feel with some of the vintage cameras too! The guide was absolutely amazing and took great shots of us! Thanks for the warmth extended! A must visit if you're around the area! 😊

$20 admission per adult. Small private museum that looks at the evolution of camera photography since the daguerreotype till early 21st century. Short videos and camera 'props' to allow self photography as souvenirs.

Surprised by the size of the collection! Quite informative if you want to know how the camera culture started. Very friendly staff. Worth the 15.

Quaint and unique museum just steps away from Arab Street. The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. A very boutique experience. Definitely worth a detour. You will hardly find yourself in a museum in the shape of a camera ever again. There is an astonishing variety of cameras of all ages and sizes. The instructional videos are helpful. Also, the click art room with the painted illusions is really nice and the staff takes pictures of you.

Eye-catching & unmissable exterior! Remember the good ol' days when going on a shoot meant lugging around a huge folding camera, heavy wooden tripods and rolls of 120 format film? Unless you lived in the ’50s, your answer is probably no. With the way smartphone cameras are evolving, the average snapper would struggle to find reasons to bring out even a compact DSLR. However, if you find a special sort of charm in vintage photography equipment, you might wanna visit the Vintage Camera Museum!

Nice small museum. The building in itself is an interesting sight. To get a glimpse of the history of photography, the collection of cameras is nice. We went through it with our seven years old son, and it was great to let him see how photography evolved and he found it interesting.

A little quaint interesting museum to see how cameras evolve over the years!! They have a collection of all sorts of cameras too, eg pigeon camera, spy cameras, camera that looks like a gun.... if you haven't been here, you should for at least one visit, particularly avid photographers!

Much better than expected! A small museum with a lot of vintage cameras and a very enthusiastic owner and guide that gave an excellent guided tour. We also got to touch and try some vintage camera models (both still and video). If you have any interest in vintage cameras or technology or silly photo sessions while waiting for the rain to stop you should give this place a try.

It's a wonderful experience. We got to learn a whole fascinating history of Camera. Its evolution, the changes and various designs it went through to finally arrive at the present digital camera we use today is filled with interesting facts, innovations which are really attention catching. We also got to have a go at all the olden time cameras and use them. Really memorable experience. Do visit this Museum and get your pictures clicked by olden time cameras to capture the special moment.

The museum itself was very interesting if you are interested in film cameras. Lots to look at and appreciate. Unfortunately the guy behind the counter spent the entire time on his phone and did not even speak to us. Great museum but if you are looking for human interaction - forget it.

Love the building shape and exterior, and the wall graffiti. There isn't much to see inside, it's quite small and there is entrance fee for $15 SGD per person..quite pricey. There isn't much special trick art to be captured.however, it is always good to see and get to know a lil about any kind of history.

  • 4/5 Edric L. 4 years ago on Google
Place is smaller than expected, and the entrance fee might be too pricey for the size. However if you can find offers from fave or entertainer app which provides 1 for 1 or up to 50% discounts, it will be worth going. They have a large assortment of vintage cameras and there is a guidebook of sorts which provides a write-up on the history of the cameras in each era. It was amusing as I brought my Canon Q17 GL III along and it was on display in the museum too!

Tucked away in a quiet corner of the crowded Haji lane area is this gem of a place. A really cosy and quiet place where you can spend time away from the crowd and heat learning about the history of cameras and photography. Not to mention the guide who was definitely passionate in what he is doing. Enjoyed my time there tremendously.

A really impressive collection of hundreds of beautiful film cameras with a lovely owner who gave me an in-depth tour, accompanied by informative videos and the chance to try out some of the cameras. He also took photos of me in the cool art display room. A bonus: the front of the building has an incredible design. Worth a visit!

Small museum, under 600sqft. A short but fun experience. Nice staff. Tickets come with a guide explaining the camera and its history. Tickets are $20 sgd. A bit pricey for what it is, but I guess it cuts down traffic and you can take your time to browse the vintage gear. Be prepared before hand, there is no washroom at the museum. Your on your own from there, but you are allowed to re-enter.
