The skywalk getting to the fort was most impressive with a great view. The actual fort displays generally are well thought out yet need some work to make them top-notch. This is not an entirely suitable location for anyone who is disabled due to the amount of stairs, so many parts will be inaccessible. However, there is a lot of access via roadways and paths to most parts.

Great location to understand a bit of singaporen histroy and see some cool war artifcats. I had limited time but managed to get a look at everything in about 2 hours. There is a large variety of dispalys and dressed up manikan. The displays and information are focused on singapore during the second world war and a littlebit before hand and afterwards. This was good as it gave me a bit of insight into the history of how singapore became an independent country. There are toilets and a water fountain located near the surrender chambers.

Extremely informative. I would recommend visiting with your family. They have interactive learning devices and even wax figures to help you understand more. Due to COVID 19, it is completely free and the shuttle bus service is much more frequent. There isn’t much crowd and it is really fun. They have tunnels and bunkers as well. You can explore every nook and cranny. They have also paid respects to soldiers from different cultures and ethnicities. They have planted a war garden which shows all the plants they used during the war. Overall, I loved this place and would recommend for you to visit

Fantastic walk through of Fort Siloso and also getting some facts straighten out like the cannina actually were not placed wrongly and was used. The Sky Walk is breezy and like the coastal view of the oil and gas Islands and cargo ships around.

Quite an interesting place to bring kid to visit and learned about World Wars. They have some exhibits hall and some old building which showcase the life of the armies living there. Many types of cannon are placing there and kids can really learnt a lot from here. It was almost empty when we were there on Thursday school holiday time (surprisingly)

Fort Siloso is a great place to take a break from the typical activities in Sentosa such as the beach, drinks, and USS. There is a lot of good information about the history of Singapore during WW2. The exhibits do a good job of describing the situation in that time period and the tunnels make you feel you were there.

Free entry to fort siloso in sentosa Island. If you are interested in history I would recommend going to this place. There are many trails and you can visit several establishments along the way. To visit fort siloso the easiest way is to take sentosa express till sentosa beach station. From there take the tram (no additional ticket required) to the last stop i.e. siloso beach. Walk towards the siloso skywalk and take the lift to the second floor. Cross the bridge which is a 5 min walk.

Even if you are not a fan of history, if you are in Sentosa, this is a must site. Amazing views from the tower of the entire island, nice trail in the forest and presentations of the history of this fort, that is in a sense is the history of the WW2, in a very engaging way. Recommend for both kids and adults.

Very nice attraction and hiking spot!! It has very informative info boards and even audio in certain rooms. The tunnels were a very unique experience. It was also very exciting to see all the huge cannons and lifelike figurines. I would definitely recommend coming by here for an outdoor walk and exploration. The staff situated around were also very friendly and helpful with the directions.

Really cool place for something that is absolutely free to visit. A nice museum to learn about the events during the world war. Artefacts artefacts are well preserved and maintained. A good place for a day out. Crowds are also not much so can enjoy in peace and quiet.

Came at a very quiet period so leisurely and quiet walk was nice. Well maintained and interesting exhibits. But it will strike the Singaporeans and history buffs more than the general tourist. Easy parking at the start opposite the gates of Shang. I would suggest visitors go up the skywalk and start the tour from there. As it would be generally downhill from there. Lots of walking up and down into tunnels so there will be sufficient exercise already.

Interesting cultural heritage site. I was fascinated by the exhibits and the information provided. The Fort Siloso Sky Walk is a good addition for easier access, even though I also enjoyed hiking the Siloso Trail on an earlier occasion. My only wish is that they would continue to trim some of the large trees that are blocking some of the views.

Must visit specially if you love history. One of the best places in Sentosa island. You can come here by taking B bus, beach shuttle or cable car. Entry is free. Bridge sky walk is amazing. You can get a wonderful view and fresh air on top of bridge. It’s peaceful. Quite awesome display of world war 2 events.

Nice museum and park. The Skywalk as the first thing was a surprise but great view of Singapore and Sentosa area. Also nice info boards under shade. Not big, easy to walk, many of the bunkers are open. A little more direction info would have been nice, but workable. The walk out so the all the art was wonderful. Free to go to but $S 10-15 for tolls and parking

Nice park. Well worth the visit. If you like history you will enjoy this park. We spent about 4-5 hours in the park, we read & and saw everything. I recommend taking the cable car to Fort Siloso. The view is beautiful. We took the cable car from Mt Faber.

Fort Siloso have few trails, do expect to spend about 2 hours back-and-forth. It's free to enter and explore. There are a few museums where you can see (and watch movies) about the Japanese occupation . It ends with the island corner where you can directly see the sea.  The lift is currently under maintenance, so prepare yourself. But otherwise you can catch their free shuttle bus.

Amazing afternoon spent walking around the grounds and through the underground bunkers. It was very informative and I liked how some of the old houses displayed artefacts (Japanese sword found on the mainland and old newspaper clippings, etc) and had video recordings of survivors talking about the war. It was a big difference from the hotels, restaurants and resorts that Sentosa is about now. The grounds are very peaceful and the audio wartime sounds (e.g. air raid alarm) that would trigger each time I entered some of the bunkers had that brief effect of transporting me back in time. Brilliant. One of the best museum visits in the world. Unfortunately the other forts on Sentosa have not be preserved as well as Siloso. I went to the Imbiah fort afterwards, but it has been left in its original condition, the view on the tower though is breathtaking. Thank you very much Sentosa! Tip- hat and sunscreen are a must. There’s a vending machine and the exhibit rooms are air conditioned so don’t worry there’s some respite if you are tired.

It is a historical place. Well maintained and tidy. It will not be bored to stay here quite long enjoying the silence and the good view it offers. The ambience is very nice. We can learn many things there, better call this as a museum but there is no guide who can tell the story of this fort.

Fort Siloso is a decommissioned coastal artillery battery, made up of 12, that formed “Fortress Singapore” at the outbreak of WWII and saw combat action during the Battle of Singapore. The fort has been converted into a public military museum. Fort Siloso was finally gazetted on 15 February 2022, the same date when British forces surrendered the ‘impregnable fortress’ of Singapore to the Japanese army. Historic places, clean and well-maintained.

Full viewing takes around 1hour max. Bus needed after getting off at the last stop on the sentosa express. Then bus ready to take you to for siloso point . It's all free, nice views. Worth doing if nothing else available. It can get very hot. Concluded a nice and well rounded commendation to the British defences of Singpaore.

No need to buy tickets for fort Siloso. Reach here by cable car to Sentosa. From lift use sky walk to reach fort. Showing history of Singapore. British defence in second world war. Audio visuals, videos and short films there to show the past war time moments. I enjoyed fort and home made lunch at fort sitting area.

A historical site with plenty of history and lots of historic monuments and artifacts that are on display. Very educational and interesting. There are a series of intricate tunnels where one could explore and learnt about life during the wartime. One such tunnel, interestingly, leads to a sea view across to Labrador Park. There are plenty of photo opportunities. Transport is conveniently located outside Fort Siloso attraction.

Fort Siloso was really nice. The skywalk to get there was amazing. Greats views of Sentosa, the coast and of Singapore. The Fort itself was really nice to walk around. Unfortunately, we went there a bit late, and were somewhat kicked out about 30 minutes before the actual closing time. Recommend giving yourself 1.5 hours before closing, if you want to give yourself enough time to walk around!

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Fort Siloso. There were self guided trails and they were easy enough to follow along. The buildings were preserved in good conditions and the exhibitions were great too. There are toilets and air conditioning, a blessing in the hot weather. Educational and eye opening, a must for all who are keen on history and war. Entrance to the area is free, costs are only for traveling into sentosa. Start of the fort siloso area is reachable via the beach shuttle to siloso Beach or buses A and C (all of these are free)

Pleasantly surprise there is now a Sky bridge leading to Fort Siloso. I used to to hike up to the "Battery Command Area" but now with the Sky bridge, it make access so much more convinient for all. Good exhibits show casing history of the Fort up till the end of WWII. Definitely a lot of thoughts, effort and investment into the curating of this area. Nice view of Southern Islands and Keppel Bay from the Sky Bridge. Best of all... Its FREE to access.

History site about World War II and still well maintained. There is a sound simulation about the time of war. It's quite quiet, away from the crowd but it is also a bit confusing for the route. There are several places to rest with the air that is still natural.

Visited here in February via the skywalk, and enjoyed the experience. Really nicely done setup showing the military fort from the bygone war era. Good place to get away from the crowds and learn more about the history of Sentosa and Singapore. Some comfortable air-conditioned exhibits mixed with outdoor and underground areas. Be prepared to climb stairs. Some areas are showing their age and could be refreshed (e.g. Some of the videos); would also appreciate a bit more background information on some of the exhibits, e.g. Force 136 and Lim Bo Seng, how Fort Siloso fit into the rest of Singapore and Malaysia's defences, etc.

This place showcase the times of Japanese occupation in Singapore, the currencies, hardship of various people, the newspaper article shots, moments of surrender of both British and Japanese armies. The site is kept clean and is a good introduction to tourists/visitors about Fort Siloso. However, the exhibits and graphics within the rooms are quite dated and not aesthetically pleasing. There are a couple of typographical errors as well. It would be great if NHB or National Archives collaborate with STB to spruce up the place. It’ll be an asset to Singapore’s cultural history.

All the way at the end of Sentosa island next to Shangri la hotel and Nestopia. You can take a free shuttle from Beach station. Great outdoor museum for adults and children. There are few air conditioned or fanned indoor areas with exhibits to cool off. You can really get a feel of a military base/fort when you explore the museum. It’s quite a walk and some steep areas with stairs. It would like at least 2 hours to go around the whole area. Strongly recommend.

Great experience for free. The tree to walk gives a fantastic view on the harbour and it's got a lift.

Nice day out, and totally free! Exhibits aren't in great condition, but it is free so you can't complain. Educational if you don't mind reading a bit. Lots of interesting history about Singapore in WW2. Good escape from the city, surrounded by nature.

Well worth checking out. Free, fun chance to explore the area and exhibitions which provide interesting historical perspectives on the stories being told. If you're walking, the SkyBridge entrance is probably where you want to aim for initially. Cyclists - Bikes can be parked up near the main entrance a little further up the road, so probably easiest to explore from this entrance onwards.

Not a fan of the history here but it was definitely a nice place to walk about. I like the painting on the road and the stones. It is clever of them to do that.

Nice place to go when exploring Sentosa. It's a combination of outdoor and indoor museum. Entry is free. Some of the indoor exhibits are air conditioned, the tunnels are not. A great place to go with family/friends to learn more about Singapore's WWII history through the life sized exhibits. I really like the Surrender Chamber. Due to the many slopes, not recommended to go with very small children or elderly. Also, be adequately prepared with sunscreen/umbrellas in Singapore's unpredictable weather.

  • 4/5 Kaviya A. 2 years ago on Google
The guides were really helpful. The skywalk and Surrender Chambers were must see. The underground bunker was so errie... and we had a great history lesson.

Free museum, a few trails to discover singapore's own history. Suitable for any age group, however a lot of stairs so do keep that in mind.Lovely place for a weekend getaway. It can get hot outside, but the tunnels and mini exhibits have air-conditioning.All the way at the end of Sentosa island next to Shangri la hotel and Nestopia. You can take a free shuttle from Beach station. Great outdoor museum for adults and children. There are few air conditioned or fanned indoor areas with exhibits to cool off. You can really get a feel of a military base/fort when you explore the museum. It's quite a walk and some steep areas with stairs. It would like at least 2 hours to go around the whole area. Strongly recommend.

It's a good place to learn about WW2 and the history behind the fort. You can explore many old bunkers. From the lookout tower you can see different islands. I recommend you to go to the fort with your family as it is a great location to learn something new.

Fort Siloso is a well-known historical landmark in Singapore. It was built by the British as a fort to defend Singapore from enemy forces coming in from the sea. As history had shown, it did not work out for them. The fort has now been turned into a museum with exhibits showing how the fort used to operate.

Sobering and important piece of Singapore history on touristy Sentosa. Good mix of historical buildings, replicas and displays. Went on a random weekday morning and it was quite quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. While I enjoyed the visit, the whole place could do with a bit of a refresh. Some of the mannequins are fakey and cringe inducing. The mini movie is quite dated and feels like the same version has been used since the 1990s.

Take the Sentosa railway shuttle to Siloso station. Then take the blue tram line till Siloso beach. Follow the direction sign to the fort Siloso sky walk. You could either take the stairs or the elevator to save yourself some time. The sky walk gives you a panorama view over some parts of the island. From there is a leisure 5-10 minutes walk into the main gun pits of fort Siloso. Wander around the fort to have a feel of history and the reason for its inception. There are lots of historical pictures to walk you down memory lane. Do prepare to spend at least 1.5 hours at the fort.

went on a friday afternoon and there was barely any visitors there exhibits were pretty informative and interesting. the indoor ones were pretty clean and had airconditioning and seating, so were pretty comfy. the outdoor ones had a lot of stairs which were steep/had uneven steps and there was a lot of uneven terrain. not unexpected from a historical site but that means this place might be unsuitable for children/elderly visitors or visitors with mobility issues some of the outdoor exhibits didnt have very good ventilation (like some underground places) so it was a bit uncomfy sticking around for too long esp w sg's humid weather but i guess that cant be helped :'-) there were guides around the indoor exhibits but for the most part, they let visitors explore the exhibits on their own and didnt do very much

I didn't really know anything about Singapore's history, until now. There were both things to see and museum elements around which provided context and history. It was cool to look at, but really liked learning about the history, and understanding where the Singapore pride and nationalism was formed.

Went up the skywalk on a clear afternoon and the view of the neighboring islands were picturesque. Relaxing experience away from the crowd 😉 My last visit to Fort Siloso was when I was a teenager - it is a good experience to relive the heritage and history of our state besides the great scenery.

Happy to see part of our history restored in Sentosa. Reminds us that Gen. Percival was defending Singapore from the wrong end of the island. The Japanese invaded from the north... 🤦🏼‍♂️..... The last time we visited was more than 20 years ago.

This is a fantastic place to visit when on Sentosa. A lot of the exhibits have audio that plays when you approach to set some atmosphere. There were fans in the outdoor shelter areas, which was also appreciated. The surrender room experience is highly recommended, with a bonus of being air conditioned. The military aircraft flying around the harbour and over the fort fit the scene perfectly.

Visited the Fort Siloso bunkers which in my view are very well preserved. Lots of history to re-learn for the readers while for the visual persons, there are lots to see n photograph Spent 2.5 hrs covering a total distance of 2.88 km exploring the place. Must visit while on a Singapore tour. Well maintained and preserved fort. Takes you back to WWII days and you start relieving in the era. The staff at Fort Siloso are so cordial that they offered us rain coats for free, where as Universal Studios charged $5 for each.

  • 4/5 Manuel G. 1 year ago on Google
Best use for a day in Santosa. Entrance is free. The Skywalk gives you a good view. The Fort is informative and there is much to see. Of course, the weather should be good. No fun in rain. Kids can collect stamps in a pass for every station visited.

Fort Siloso is the sole restored coastal gun battery from the twelve such batteries which made up "Fortress Singapore" at the start of World War II. The Fort is situated on the resort island of Sentosa; it is restored as a military museum, and open to the public. It really is a must-see site, especially for history lookers.

Well preserved fort with historical facts written and displayed. There are different sections of the fort. it's the last point of Singapore Island. For entrance a skywalk is also there to enjoy far views of the surroundings...

A moderately interesting place (at least for me) which has a nice bridge that you can walk through to the other side. This contains the war memorial and a brief history of Singapore. This place would intrigue you if you are interested in world history. Else, it is just a place to spend 20-30 minutes looking around. Also, it is free.

Very interesting to learn about the history of Singapore. My five year old enjoyed hunting for the guns which there is a nice trail to follow. There are water stations which you can refill your water bottles and the toilets are very clean. We went on a weekend and it wasn’t too busy and rather pleasant to walk around in nature. Entrance is free.

Located on the western tip of Pulau Blakang Mati (known today as Sentosa Island), Fort Siloso was one of the many coastal fortifications built around the 19th century by the British and remains the most intact fortification in Singapore. The Fort was built on Mount Siloso.
