Bravo Zulu! However most visitors I spoke to wish to see more tangible and intangible aspect of Navy heritage. Previous Navy museum at Sembawang (Terror) Camp, which is smaller and non-high tech stuff, seem to function well as the museum (Not gallery). Hope the access to museum could be improved further hence more public could view the Navy heritage with ease.

Excellent museum for those who love all stuff navy! I think our RSN has done an extremely good job putting up the exhibits and trying to keep to historical clarity as close as possible. We should appreciate the hard work put in by our servicemen in curating all the exhibits in the museum. Opening hours could be longer on weekends and PH which is currently from 10am - 2pm. But footfall is light so no issue with any crowding and it is actually an improvement now as previously before the renovation under the old museum, it was not opened on Sun. Typically if you read through ALL the exhibits, 3hrs should be enough. The venue is child and family friendly and the outdoor exhibits also feature various navy artefacts. Better to drive down than to take public transport, especially private hire vehicles might not want to take your ride as I see a couple of people unable to get any. There is one public bus 35 plying the main road which is a short walk in/out. This bus service goes to Tanah Merah MRT station.

Nice place to bring the kids fo a visit to learn about the history of the Singapore Navy and it's importance to the nation's defence. Quite a few educational exhibits and interactive displays. It is slightly less interesting than the Air Force Museum cos can only display ship's components unlike entire aeroplanes and helicopters. But overall still nice to visit lah if you can find your way here...

This is a nice place to visit if you like military history. It's not super big but you can spend a good hour to two hours here depending on how interested you are in reading everything. There isn't a ton of interactivity but if you want to know about the history of Singapore's navy, it's definitely worth a visit.

This place has recently opened. Entrance is free for locals and ample free carpark available. The operating hours seem very short to go through the 3 levels on the history and modernisation. Entry is close 30 minutes prior to actual official closing time. Lift is provided for those on wheelchair. Not much photos or story on the 50s to the 70s. They have canteen, however was close on the weekend. The vending machine for drinks and snacks is available on the ground floor. Mini theatre with two bench is available. However, not so eye-catching storytelling.

Came here as a family because it was FOC for Singaporean citizens and PR (you do have to make an online booking prior to visiting because they will ask for the email confirmation), and my dad was really interested in the Navy and its history. There was ample parking spaces even on a Sunday, but the location is way out of the way if you are not driving (not sure how you can reach here if you aren't driving). The museum has a total of 3 floors, with a wide variety of sections explaining more about our Navy history spanning over many centuries way before independence. There are also a few interactive exhibits, with a short film screening at the 1st and 3rd floor. Additionally, there is a children's section at the 3rd floor which I think is meant to allow them to make some paper decorations. Overall, I think this is a good experience if you want to know more about our Navy history. There is also a few replicas of Navy weaponry and ship structures outside the building, which you can probably see when you first drove into the compound. Also, take the time to walk towards the sea after exploring the museum to see if you are lucky enough to spot an actual warship in the distance.

Entrance to the museum is free, the only thing is the isolated location. It is very new, fully air-conditioned and right beside the naval base where you can actually see the Singapore warships parked. Right outside the museum there is also a canteen where you can go in and have some food and drinks Also well air-conditioned. The only thing about the museum is, I wished it had more artefacts to display, for example uniforms throughout the different era of the navy, knickknacks, light ropes anchors and various other paraphernalia, on the whole a great visit to know a little more about the Navy. It would have been absolutely fantastic if they could park a decommissioned worship right beside for walk-through

Museum is good, but very poor public transportation. No public bus service on weekends, and no Grab or taxi.

Surprisingly pleasant, clean and informative place. I was told by the curator that the museum had just recently reopened in mid June. Good place to bring your kids if they like ships. Downside is that there is no F&B anywhere around and you will need to get here by private transportation.

Recently renovated with new exhibition content. The museum has a lot to offer with interactive audiovisuals. Friendly staff. Great for those interested in defence and maritime security. Only issue was access. Bus 35 does NOT operate on Sundays and public holidays. Even ride hailing to and from the museum was really difficult.

I have visited the navy museum today and it was a good museum with a lot of navy historical and information. I enjoyed my time there. However, when leaving, i waited for grab pickup for 45min but to no availability. i have urgent flight to take. Luckily, the museum staff in the name of Roger save my day. He offered to send me to the airport. Deeply appreciate to Roger who save my day.

Great place to know about Singapore's Navy It's a good place for children to learn abaout navy histories, not only in Singapore, but also Asia and ASEAN region. There are many picture, movie and memorabilias. I hope this place can be more bright. My kid get scarried around this place. He was afraid and worried if he could see ghost.

Newly renovated museum in a three storeyed building located in the airport area. Interesting place to learn about Singapore’s navy, which is something for such a small country. Lots of things to see and reading to do and you could easily spend a few hours if you want to find out all the information. The video show is a bit strange, narrated with a male and a female voice, not sure who the target audience is. Admission is FOC, one could book online or register at the door.

(Translated by Google) Singapore Navy Museum. Admission is free, but the museum has a lot of exhibits. You will need to show your ID at the entrance. There is also a souvenir shop where you can buy rare Singapore Navy goods. (Original) シンガポール海軍の博物館です。入場無料ですが、かなり充実した展示内容の博物館です。入口で身分証の提示が必要です。お土産店もあり、珍しいシンガポール海軍のグッズが購入出来ます。

Newly refurbished museum, a bit difficult to get to but well worth the visit if you're a maritime and navy fanatic. The museum lays out the milestones of the RSN and its trials and tribulations in recent times

Do not set great expectations for kids to understand the exhibits. Most of the outdoor displays are worn out and not safe for kid to get close in. Slide show theatre seats do not considered for young audiences when build. Transportation by bus is not advised for young family. Toilet is infested by ants (maybe due to food boxes left there for days). Airforce museum were be a better choice for young families. And looking forward for the reopening of Army museum.

Nice place to escape the heat and humidity just outside the out of bound naval base, as it is open to the public.Experienced a power cut on level 2 during the second day of IMDEX 2019.

Navy Museum underwent a major revamp, and finally it opened to public on 18 Jun based on News. I understood it is located close to park connector and offer an alternate pit stop option for cyclists to drop by to take a break and perhaps, at the same time, can visit the museum to have an update on the history of navy and maritime.

Weekend open from 10am to 2pm? That is too short. Resident who stay west side or central area. Is hard to read there by 10am who are with kids by public transport. Can the RSN have the time same as weekday.

Many amazing things to see. You could find out the whole history of singapore navy, how it started from two wooden boats. Must check it out when you are there. The place is not very accessible though.

Great museum. Friendly staff. Interesting shop selling army surplus gear. The museum is in a restricted area so you will need to check-in at the Naval Base gatehouse (the museum visitor counter is on the left). You will need to produce some ID (passport of driving licence). You will then be escorted to the museum entrance; and then back again once your visit is finished. Don't forget that there is a courtesy bus that takes you from the museum directly to Tanah Merah MRT.

A great place to visit with family on a Sat morning. The exhibits are good to know about Singapore navy. If only they have floating vessel museums like in the US (E.g. , carriers and subs) A short ride from Bedok bus interchange on bus 35. Not too bad.
