Happy 5th construction anniversary in advance! Been closed since 2019 and it's going to be 2024 in a few months time. We should have a huge celebration to mark the glacial pace of work done over half a decade.. and more! 🥳🥳🥳 Oct 2023 update: still no progress and no workers on site.. the only workers there are migrant workers playing cricket in the field in front of Chinese Garden MRT.. no updates as usual from our dear NParks, maybe everyone is still in WFH mode? 👀👀👀 End Oct 2023 update: the open field in front of Chinese Garden has become a drone flying facility now despite the UAV no-flying zone 5km from an aerodome (Tengah Airbase) rule! Well at least if the drone hits an RSAF fighter plane we know there won't be any civilian casualties because the pilot has the whole bloody empty Chinese and Japanese Gardens to crash land into 😂😂😂 EOY 2023 post holiday update: wah we all come back from overseas and the place still looks the same leh. Aiyah NParks nvm lah tell the contractor to take their time slowly do lah, it's not as if your reputation as a D-Tier statboard will magically jump to C-tier if they complete this project before 2024 Lunar New Year so that the residents of Yuhua SMC and Jurong GRC can finally celebrate the festive season together without having to take a detour around the lake like they have been doing for the past 5 years since 2019. Please do let us know the name of the contractor who won the bid for this project though, we will be recommending that they be banned from all future govt projects due to their poor performance and continuous delay in execution. I pity poor STB though, their call for tender for a tourism project confirm kena sabo by you all lah. All the potential investors probably saw that large construction site in the middle of Jurong and got scared away by the uncertain timeline of the project's completion. Haiyah what to do lah... Anyway here's wishing all the Jurong residents a happy 2024 and another 1 year of detours around the lake!

Chinese Garden is a very nice place. Suitable for family and couples for a stroll. There is no others place in Singapore like Chinese Garden. You can take many beautiful pictures here.

Great place to enjoy an outdoor walk, jog and cycle activity. Many couples and families strolling, cycling or jogging while enjoying the fresh air and wide spaces surrounded by the lush greenery with the lake in the middle. There are ample car park spaces and it is near MRT. Enjoyed the lantern displays of foreign landmarks as well as the Zodiac signs.

Near the suburb of Singapore, you can come by taxi or underground to see these beautiful garden with Chinese building complex that is very beautiful. Pagodas, lake and gates. Good place for photography and a relaxing walk around the green spaces. I will recommend If you are in Singapore try to visit this garden as well. Unfortunately I didn't find any itinerary guide for this place.

A beautiful and large public park inspired by Chinese heritage. There is a smaller section dedicated for a Japanese garden which is very peaceful. The park usually has activities and is almost always packed. Great place for a picnic and to relax after a day of work. Just make sure to check the weather because there is barely anywhere to hide from the rain.

Visited the newly opened Lakeside Gardens with my 2 kids (almost 5yr & 9yr). We went on a public holiday so of course it was super busy. This newly developed area has been done really well. There's a large 'natural' style water play and sand area. Best to bring a change of clothes however it is only 30cm deep. The new playground called the forest ramble is really big and again is a well thought out 'natural' style play area for kids that blends into its surroundings. Good for very young and older kids say around 12yrs. There is a car park available, not listed well on GPS yet but easy to find. You could walk the whole circuit quite easily with young kids. We stayed around 2hrs there but would stay longer if not so busy.

Went here 3-4 years ago. Very memorable. The place was very clean and upkeep was good. Views were great, toilets were clean and I love the spiral staircases in (two, if not mistaken, of) the pagodas. I had an eerie encounter in one of the smaller pagodas. At first, I thought I was alone. Then, I heard a voice. A woman was chatting with someone upstairs. Maybe there were other visitors there. However, when I went upstairs, to my surprise, there was nobody there. And suddenly I heard the same voices laughing downstairs. It was quite chilling, yeah. But this didn’t stop me from enjoying my evening here. I pretended like nothing has happened and enjoyed the rest of my visit. A must visit, this garden is, for sure.

Pretty nice park as it is a kind of theme park related to Chinese and Japanese traditional garden. It looks gorgeous and big in the beginning but the quality of the building is just average. The awesome thing you need to check is that there are great potted plants from China and other countries. I saw the age of the oldest plant was born in 1807. I couldn't believe my eyes. There is a great garden setting for Japanese Garden. It is definitely worth for visiting.

Really love this place.. beautiful and clean.. hemm, it was a bit humid and the sun is high when i visited this place.. girls, rock your sunglasses! 😎😎😎 Back to the place.. there are lot of trees but surprisingly insects are nowhere to be seen, except natural habitats.. well, i saw no bug but i did see critters.. can u imagine how clean the place is? The entrance located near MRT station, there is no food stalls, so you better bring your picnic basket! Anw, it a good place to take picture.. if you want to create content.. I would greatly recommend you to visit this garden

Disappointed. Though boarded up, we could see from across the lake the hoardings and groundwork of the 2-year "upgrading" in tandem with the ambitious Jurong Lake District projects. Not sure what the urban planners were thinking of during the conceptualization? Too much modernisation may end with loss of the tranquility and serenity of a reinvigorated Lake District. Activities are the opposites. Ditto Sentosa experience. Economics vs Aesthetics. Visual vs Aura.

Sad when I arrived it's temporary closed due to renovation. It's very major renovation. The kids park seems nice though. The park itself is open for anyone. It's free of admission and really calm ambience. You can play football there or picnic. But the main attraction which is the pagoda is closed dont know till when...

(Translated by Google) [Long-term closed garden renovation] I checked on the Internet before I left. I did n’t pay attention to the information about the renovation of the closed garden. I ran for nothing. I saw the announcement before the entrance of the side of the MRT Green Line [Chinese Garden] station. Only then did we know that the park was being renovated, and everyone looked confused. Although there is a park [Lakeside Garden] on the other side of the lake, you can only go around the lake along the road below the MRT. Although it is not very far, it takes half an hour.
