👍👍 Great tracking place for exercise while enjoying the nature. This is one of the natural walking tracks in Singapore with no tar roads. Hiking and biking trail are separated to ensure hikers and bikers enjoy themselves as much as possible. During this period, can easily see fighter plane of RSAF fly... Great tracking place for exercise while enjoying the nature. This is one of the natural walking tracks in Singapore with no tar roads. Hiking and biking trail are separated to ensure hikers and bikers enjoy themselves as much as possible. During this period, can easily see fighter plane of RSAF flying for national day preparation while standing on top of observation tower. #trail #observation tower

A great lookout post for RSAF helicopters! But you have to come at the right time! Besides being a good observation tower, it is also a good resting point, although one has to walk up a long flight of stairs before reaching the resting point at the top. 😆 But the walk-up is worth it as you will be rewarded with a commanding view of the nature park.

Not that tall so most are able to climb up the observatory but tall enough to enjoy a nice panoramic view of the surrounding forest. Make this the starting point of your hike while the body condition is still at optimal level.

When hiking to reach the tower, please avoid bicycle trails as the slopes are steep hence the bikes will be in high speed across rough terrain. Also during hot and warm weather, it is advisable to wear loose clothes and have sufficient water in a back pack. When in trails, keep left, always. If you are injured, get help and provide your GPS location to emergency responders. Stay safe and enjoy the hike!

Nice place for a quick break along your walk. The view isn't that great, but still worth climbing to the top.

After a short trek from Zhenghua Park, you can take the stairs up this observation tower. You get a nice view of the greenery all around. Other than that, there isn't much urban landscape to look at. Do take note that the tower can get pretty crowded on weekends. The sunlight can also be quite harsh, so quite a number of people will hide in the shade of the lower levels of the tower.

Great place to have a nice view of the entire chestnut nature trail. It's stable and easy to climb, with 2 different stairways so it doesn't get crowded while climbing up or coming down. Make the effort and go to the top, you'll cherish the beautiful landscape.

Twin circular stairway to the observations deck makes it different from MacRitchie' Jelutong tower. However there's not much special about the view from the top.

It's a shame that the top part is vandalized with grafiti.

lovely place in Singapore to see more greenery than built up space—just watch out for mountain bikers on your way! wish there weren't so many cigarette butts here though

Quite a easy walk to reach the Observation tower at the Chestnut Nature Park Trail.. do watch out for cyclists that is cycling in this park they can be quite fast. This trail will lead you to Mandai T15 Trail.

Short hike to the tower. Best to go in the early mornings or during the golden hour. Beautiful view. Good for Instagram photos or short hike with family members. For hikers: There are two routes you can try from the tower. For seasoned hikers you hike all the way to Bukit Timah Hill from this lookout point.

it will be fantastic if the tower can be just slightly taller so that we can see the reservoir/ water catchment area... nevertheless, its a wonderful place to be at..... surrounded by trees and trees....

The Observation Tower is located at the Northern Hiking Loop of Chestnut Nature Park, about 5-mins walk from the park entrance. Go up the spiral stairs and enjoy the 360° view of the park from high above.

Lone tower in the middle of the trail. Not lightning protected even with the two lightning rods on the tower's topmost platform. Picturesque view of surrounding nature.

Good track to the observation tower from Chestnut Nature Park. Mostly shaded. Use the hiking trial and watch out for bikes as some parts crossed with the biking trials.

Nice quiet 360 view of nature with a ton of greens to feast your eyes on. Nice rest stop and chill out area after a nice walk. Located along Zhenghua park and it is not crowded therefore peaceful.

the tower itself is a nice structure with steps leading all the way to the top. the view at the top is pretty disappointing though.

  • 5/5 Alif T. 3 years ago on Google
Awesome if u fancy the environment and nature. There are hidden path which not many knows which is near the taman melayu kemboja. There's a reservoir for people to visit to. And if you're lucky enough you could see some wildlife there.

tower is ok, well built and stable, view from the top isn't much except to see a few of the nearby condos. the rest is just trees. good thing is that if the weather is good, the wind at the top is quite refreshing. definitely worth a stop over if you're passing by but dont expect too much
